Dear friends,
I need to decide which logo to use on the new blog. Which one do you prefer?
Thanks,
The Saker
UPDATE: it just ‘hit me’ that we are a community, right? Okay – if you want to submit a logo of your own, please do. I make no promises to use it, but if I like it I will add it to the list of logos submitted for comments in this survey of opinions. Deal?

Dear Saker, please combine #2 and #4:
1) use the bird from #1
2) drop the twigs
3) use all signs, avoid redundancy, experiment with their colors
4) use bigger, more blue globe, bigger, brighter sun – all moved to the left
5) probably the ribbon should be bigger
Thanks again for all wonderful reports and good luck!
My personnel choice is #7 but it’s your blog so you pick one and the rest of us will be fine with that
logo 5 is my favorite
My favorites are Logo 4, 7, 11 & 12.
If forced to pick one I would go for logo 12.
I think the saker falcon is an inspired choice for your blog. It’s a wide ranging Eurasian falcon. (And it’s not an American or Nazi ‘eagle’– as one comment suggested.)
So incorporating a vivid photo of the falcon is desirable for a strong logo.

Avoid all problems with scale, angle ans favouritism. Put a bird, wings spread, and looking at this revolving globe

How can people show their preferences when the numbers keep changing? I have send nr 14 but now it has changed in 12?
Number 3 is the most beautiful and represents the blog better in my mind.
4 or 9, because the Saker flies over the world (its vineyard) to protect it
I emailed #3 as a general concept (with no time for frills, wording or a nice bird etc) — basically placing the focus on the ‘field of play’ rather than the ‘bird of prey’. On return, I also like many others as well. Perhaps my next adaptation choice would be #15 (as a very sharp business card design layout) as a general model with a soft cloud-edged ‘through the mists’ dream-vision image of #3 in the white space (i.e. to which said bird is flying ‘as if’ to paradise etc).
Logo No. 4 pls
Logo # 5 that says: Russia stands for Freedom”.
Love that one! best.

Carmel by the Sea
Logo 12
Personally a fan of #13.
logo 11
Logo 9.c9
Logo # 9.
In the spirit of Christine Lagarde, I like #7
In the spirit of Christine Lagarde, I like #7
logo 12 then logo 3
Saker, I really like #4 (haven’t looked yet at other comments).
The other comment I would like to make is that I agree with several of Monday’s comments that stress it is more the logos than the logo we should concern ourselves with, and there is no question the readability of this the old site is preferable – no outside distractions, no gimmicks, just the conversation front and center and expansive.
So the more we can do to enhance thought and expression in the area of logos the better. That is what made this blog the popular place that it is.
(And in case I got the numbers confused, the logo I like is the one with Saker on the righthand side of the curve of the earth with the sun just beginning to rise in the center. Beautiful.)
Logo number 4 is the best
#4 or #17
number 17
last but not least
yes, that wasn’t easy, but I vote for nr 4, cheers!
Random, off the cuff thoughts from a graphics tech.

Though all logos have a certain appeal, I have to say my fav is # 7 as it shows the overview of the empire attempting to control the whole world, and puts the officials on notice that “The Saker is watching”. It also allows for the St. George’s Ribbon to be edited to the different sites if needed. Option #2 is use the one that’s most popular for each area covered by a Saker blog now and in future… that’s how we solve the problem from a professional point of view.
