Okay, I will admit it. I am biased. Not only is Scott my Director of Research, but he also is somebody I care deeply for. And yet, even though I am biased I don’t even have to appeal to my bias to say that I absolutely loved “The Enemy of the State”. Friends, this text is extremely well written. I began reading it late at night (during the day I am simply too busy to read) and I wanted to read just a few pages before going to sleep. No such luck: I could not put the book down! I read it in one shot and I loved every second of it. I won’t discuss the plot or characters, but I will say that the text is powerful, at times hilarious, at times stunning and at times even frightening. What Scott describes in this book is something which very few of us in the West are even remotely aware of. Scott also uses this opportunity to share with us a wonderful illustration of how real Russian women think and behave, especially when threatened. Reading “The Enemy of the State” I remembered the many Russian women I was privileged to meet in my life whom Tatyana, the hero of the story, is such a powerful prototype for.
Enough PR! The book is fantastic, it is written by one of the most dedicated members of our community so I really want to say just one thing: get it ASAP!

Whether we admit it or not, we are all biased, which is why facts are the best starting point. I just received my ebook, and am told a paper copy is coming. If the book is even half as good as this review suggests, it ought to get the Putin Pulitzer Prize, yet to be created.

I would just print it .pdf file out. It’s only 57 pages.
Staple it together or put it in a folder, and you get yourself a real book.
You can even doodle some art on it.
What’s great about .pdf file, you can share it with anyone.

I received the exerpt (PDF) this morning and read it in one sigh, I could not stop. What an insane situation she got into. And how fearless and calm she stayed, unbelievable. Wow, so that is the karakter of the Russian people. I am really very impressed and I highly respect this woman. I read stories of the homeland security and TSA on the USA airports, which are horrible. In Isreal it sounds even worse.
Can not wait to read the full book. Congratulations Scott. I loved it.

I find myself enjoying the comments of both Russian vodka abstainers, and oddly, agreeing with them both simultaneously.
It’s true that too many of us are awed by Russian character and toughness and wishing for them to fight for us. Maybe they’ve been in enough damned fights to pick them very, very carefully.
Russian toughness has given us some time to get our act together before the AZ elites permanently enslave all of us. That’s the way I look at it.
It’s kind of like those that hope for visitors from other regions of the Universe to save our sorry asses. Why should they adopt us wayward children and become responsible for us???. Maybe they have enough of their own challenges to worry about, without taking on ours as well!

Hi. First, let me state that this is not a complaint.
I by choice do not have a credit card, nor a Paypal account, and I don’t use Facebook.
I appreciate this site and others similar in spirit to this one.
And yet if I wish to participate and comment on Fort Russ, for example, one needs to register a Disqus or Facebook account. To buy Scott’s e-book, which I would happily do, one needs to join Paypal, American Express, etc.
I only wish that there was an alternative to signing up with the corporations of the Hegemon.
