You have never heard about this profession. Untold number of people have been involved in it for centuries. You might be working with, living next to, or even dating one of them. You might never guess that they are the Guardians of the Empire. There are no job postings for this occupation. The Guardians of the Empire just know that they are her guardians. They hear this spiritual call. They have this higher quest: to stand up in arms for the Empire. They are men and women. They are ethnic Russians, Tatars, Chechens, Kazakhs, Buryats. Historically, you can find some Germans, French, even Danish (Bering) amongst them. They are people of different professions and different walks of life. Some of them are well known, while many others remain mysterious. They are the best people you can ever meet. They are engineers, teachers, scientists, artists, law enforcement officers, actors, poets, soldiers, farmers and politicians. It doesn’t matter what they do, really. They are those “who defend and preserve the country’s identity, its history, and its sovereignty.” [Kadyrov] What matters is that they serve only to one, to the eternal Russian Empire.
One of those people is Ramzan Kadyrov.
The same Ramzan Kadyrov who said in February 2014 that Russia won’t let Ukraine to be handed over into the bandits’ hands. The same who said on Grozny-TV that Bandera- fascists were raiding businesses owned by Chechens and that Chechens would help the Russian people, and that he regretted actions of Crimean Tatars, and that Chechnya built a mosque for them, and that Chechens also were deported by Stalin during the Great Patriotic war, but they don’t follow the West that only wants war.

Do you think the West and anti-Russia liberals forgot his support for the legitimate government of Ukraine? Do you think they forgave him for the peace and prosperity of Chechnya, and Chechens’ loyalty to their country Russia, its people and its government?
For the past two years we have witnessed relentless non-stop attacks on the leader of Chechnya, on him personally, his relatives and his friends, and attacks on Chechen people in general.
Horrible, dehumanizing, hurtful attacks, specifically design by psy-op specialists in NATO to cause hate towards the Chechen people. After giving full support to Wahhabist terrorists in Chechnya for years, the anti-Russia liberal forces have thrown themselves into white–knuckle hate towards the Chechen people the moment they asked for peace and stability. Last week they called for the Third Chechen war and a separation of Chechnya from Russia. It looks to me that liberals want to eliminate Chechens as a nation.
With extraordinary mental gymnastics, the Western “experts” and liberals in Russia went from “evil Russians killing proud, freedom-loving Chechens” to “Chechnya is the rogue nation of criminals” in just seven years. What precipitated this flip-flop? Chechens living a peaceful and prosperous life in Russia.
After Kadyrov’s February 2014 statement against Maidan as a Western instigated coupe, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a convicted thief, con-artist, and murderer, gave an interview to meduza.io, a rabidly anti-Russian publication based in Riga, in which he insulted the entire Chechen nation, called Chechnya a “separate criminal group” that “serves interest of Putin.” Just like that, a whole small nation is a group and everyone there is a criminal, “a criminal nation.” He said that in his opinion Chechnya is not even a foreign state on the territory of Russia, but a “criminal group.” This goes well with the UK Labour MP Ben Bradshaw who called Russia a “rogue state.”
In the same interview, Khodorkovsky talks about his “building a political structure” that would get broader representation “after the regime change” in Russia. “I have a blunt aim to change the country,” by means of the violent bloody revolution no less. “I will never come to power as a result of elections.”
“I consider Kadyrov to be a personal Putin’s vassal,” Khodorkovsky said, and added that the leader of Chechen people is a guardsman (oprichnik) of Putin, and Putin is like Ivan the IV. He also claims that Putin and Kadyrov “know only how to steal,” because he himself, never stole anything from the Russian people, he just sold what they developed and built from under them, and murdered a Russian mayor of an oil town in Siberia, who stood up to him.
Khodorkovsky’s owned and operated “Open Russia Foundation” even made a film called “The Family” about Kadyrov that was scheduled to be released for May 8, 2015, a day before the Victory Day Parade. Because every celebration in Russia has to be poisoned, and to serve as a reminder that if liberals would ever come to power again, there will be no parades, celebrations and victories, and no Russia.
Forward two years during which we have witnessed how liberals barrage Chechens nonstop with insults. They use any and all psy-op methods to instill hatred towards the Chechen people and insult them publicly.
When the Chechens responded, finally, like Kadyrov had done, calmly and with the great dignity, to this endless torrent of hate and propaganda, liberals instantly started screaming that they are abused by Chechens and there liberal rights were somehow pinched. Now, they are demanding to punish the Chechens and Kadyrov. For what? Kadyrov has never said that liberals are criminal group, unlike liberals who called his small nation “criminal.” He said that those liberals who are being paid by the foreign states to work against Russia and Russia’s government are the criminals. which is, by the way, exactly how it is written in the Constitution of Russia. Kadyrov just quoted the country’s supreme law. Liberals are demanding him to be punished, imprisoned, for quoting the Constitution.
On January 12th, 2016 during a meeting with journalists in Grozny on the eve of Day of Russian Press, Kadyrov made the following statements:
Speaking about non-systemic non-parliamentary opposition attempts to undermine the situation in the country instead of building a partnership with the government to seek recovery from the crisis, he said.
“This suggests that these people don’t care about the fate of Russia and the Russian people. They play games invented by the Western intelligence agencies. They shamelessly misrepresent themselves as someone who has concerns about the future of our country. While it is clear that they are absolutely not interested in prosperous and strong Russia, “I believe that these people should be investigated and tried to the fullest extent of the law for their subversive activities.”
This interview and especially the phrase, “I believe that these people should be investigated and tried to the fullest extent of the law for their subversive activities” has caused an absolutely hysterical reaction among anti-Russia liberals. In Moscow especially, where many apply for Israel’s permanent residency status. Last week, I have heard about some acquaintances. They stayed in 90s and did very well. They stayed in 2000s and have done even better. They lived through two Chechen Wars, and didn’t think much of them. Now they are leaving and selling their real estate, apparently they won’t be returning any time soon.
I suspected something last year, after discovering that they were involved with some organization of revolutionaries, building a network of members around the country ready to riot against government “when time is right.” One day an organization’s website disappeared, and its leaders wrote on their FB that they didn’t call for Maidan in Russia and that they were “revolutionaries” only in theory. Next, Kadyrov calls for prosecution of antigovernment activities, and scared them so much, they dug out a certificate that one of their grandmothers was Jewish. Apparently, ISIS and the war in the Middle East are minor inconveniences in comparison with Ramzan Kadyrov.

Immediately after Kadyrov’s statement that Chechen people are a part of Russia, and that they are patriots of Russia, and ready to die fighting for Russia, a radio station Echo of Moscow published an article by Andrei Piontkovsky, a Russian political scientist and a visiting fellow at the Hudson Institute in Washington, DC, and a big supporter of Poroshenko and Maidan.
In Russian folklore and fairytales, there is a strong warning against following echo in forest. Most likely those are voices of trolls and orks and other unseemly supernatural creatures, like Baba Yaga. Those who follow echoes, end up in swamps and die.
Piontkovsky, lurking like Baba Yaga, rushed in to dismiss Kadyrov’s words, as “empty statements,” essentially accusing the leader of Chechnya in being a liar. He also makes claims that Chechnya is a “bomb ready to explode” and demands from the Kremlin to give Chechnya independence immediately, or else. This opinion he bases on a book of his teacher Dmitri Yefimovich Furman, who called Chechens the “most difficult nation of Russia.”
Piontkovsky also claims that the second Chechen war was instigated by Moscow to put Putin in power. He claims that Russia lost this war to Chechnya, and that’s why Chechnya remained a part of Russia. “Chechnya is not a part of Russia, it’s Russia is a part of Chechnya.” “Russian government is drunk on power over life and death,” and “twenty years of “economic reforms” by Putin produced deprived Russian youth, who sits in Moscow apartments and are not ready to fight in wars. He calls the government of Russia “a party of blood.” After stating that Chechnya got rich on the Russian money, sucking out all the resources out of the Russian nation, and young Chechen people look at Russians as their debtors and act as conquerors in Russia cities, Piontkovsky compares the state of Chechen people in Russia with the state of Jews in the Nazi Germany.
He also claims that due to Chechnya being so rich now, young people from Chechnya are joining extremists in the Middle East. Apparently, if Chechnya breaks free from Russia’s oppressive financial support, young Chechens’ won’t be joining extremists in the Middle East.
I venture to suggest that they might be compelled to join extremists in Europe. Not that such blowback has ever happened after Europe and US destroyed the Middle East.
Furthermore, Piontkovsky tries to put on a collision course Russia’s law enforcement and military (siloviki) with Chechens, assuming that Chechen Military forces are not a part of Russia’s military forces.
He also, as tradition demands, accuses Putin in directly ordering the murder of an aging playboy, and all around useless former Yeltsin era politician Boris Nemtsov.
Essentially, this call to immediately give an “independence” to Chechnya and to start process of breaking Russia comes from someone who is ethnically not Chechen, and not Russian, who is not an elected representative, and doesn’t represent any of the regions and nations that populate Russia historically. I wouldn’t point this fact out, but he talks a lot about “blood” and connections through “blood.” Especially, blood of people like a journo Anna Politkovskaya, whom Piontkovsky, without a shadow of a doubt, proclaims to be a “saint” with a place in “Heavenly Jerusalem. ” She is a saint, all right, of a Liberal religion, with Piontkovsky being her fanatical worshiper. If my memory serves well, she was known for her opuses about evils of Russia and horrible Russian people that she dutifully produced all during the 80s, 90s, and 2000s.
Initially, Piontkovsky article contained two paragraphs that were almost immediately removed by the editors in Echo of Moscow:
Paragraph I: “It’s only possible to stop a ticking mechanism of Russo-Chechen catastrophe, by immediate secession of Chechnya from Russia, and secession of Russia from Chechnya.”
Paragraph II: ” It’s necessary to offer a full state independence to the Chechen republic with all legal consequences for our mutual international relations. ”
Kadyrov responded with his own article in newspaper Izvestia. On January 18th, 2016: Izvestia published his article titled: Russian ‘Opposition’ Who Take Money From Abroad Are Traitors.

The spat with the liberals has not stopped there, as we would expect.
On January 25th, 2016 in response to Piontkovsky article, the Parliament of Chechnya made an official enquiry to The Prosecutor General’s office and the Investigative Committee of Russia asking to investigate the Piontkovsky’s article for extremism. [source]
According to the speaker of Parliament Magomed Daudov, Piontkovsky calls for extremist activities and excitation of hatred and enmity between people, which can lead to the incitement of interethnic and interfaith strife, and violation of the unity and integrity of the country.
“In his article Andrei Piontkovsky writes: “We do not believe them (Chechens), to be the Russian citizens, and their towns and villages to be Russian.” We have convincingly proven this not only to Chechens, but to all Caucasians.”
“But it is not clear what the author means by the word “we”: the people of the Russian Federation, or to be more precise, the Russian people, to which he himself, perhaps, classifies; or himself and his foreign masters who commissioned this article?” Daudov said via the press service of the Parliament.
I don’t know how would we live without people like Piontkovsky, Politkovskaya. Khodorkovsky and Nemtsov, who every day and twice on Sundays tell us how horrible we Russians are. I will take a wild guess that people in Russia would live in peace, prosperity and unity.
We have to absolutely put the stoppage to this ongoing psychological war against the Chechen people. They are nation native to Russia. They have their own territory, which is a part of Russia. They don’t have any other countries and territories outside of Russia to call their own. They are a part of the Russian nation. We can’t allow for this unspeakable abuse of the entire nation to go on. These people are just coming to their senses after a horrible war against Wahhabists, that was ignited by the West and facilitated by the West. Now, when Chechens have found their footing as patriots of Russia, which is their country also, they have become a target of vicious campaign of abuse by the pro-Washington liberals and the NATO members. We can’t take NATO to court yet, but liberals are just asking for it.

Turkey-Russia Tensions Spike as Russia Moves Into Northern Syria By Juan Cole
Russian air strikes in Syria are coming closer and closer to the Turkish border in Latakia in the northwest, and there are rumors that Russia is looking at establishing an airbase at Qamishli in the largely Kurdish northeast of Syria. Turkey risks having Russia as a neighbor all along the Syrian border to Turkey’s south, as well as beyond the Black Sea to its north.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said at a news conference, “We have said this from the beginning: we won’t tolerate such formations (in northern Syria) along the area stretching from the Iraqi border up to the Mediterranean. . .”
Over on the Mediterranean side, Russian air strikes have enabled the Syrian Arab Army of the Bashar al-Assad regime to move back into northern Latakia Province, taking a large number of villages in the far northern areas of Turkmen Mountain and Kurd Mountain.
The strategic city of Rabia was surrounded on three sides by government troops.
Syrian government sources maintained that 150 rebels had been killed in the fighting, including guerrillas of the Nusra Front, while others had fled across the border into Turkey.
It was to protect the anti-regime Turkmen fighters of Turkmen mountain that last fall the Turkish air force shot a Russian fighter jet out of the air.
The SAA has also retaken Salma in the east of Latakia Province. Salma had been in rebel hands for 3 years and is in higher land and so was a useful way for the rebels to dominate the surrounding area.
Russian strategy since last October has been to intervene from the air to give courage to the Syrian troops and allow them to push back the rebels from the key port city of Latakia in the province of the same name. The al-Qaeda-allied Army of Conquest (Jaysh al-Fateh) has the neighboring province of Idlib to the east and has a key position in Jisr al-Shughour, a town in the highlands overlooking Latakia from which an assault could easily be launched. One of the Army of Conquest coalition partners is the Nusra Front or the Support Front, the chief al-Qaeda franchise in Syria, which reports to Ayman al-Zawahiri (one of the masterminds of the 9/11 attacks on the US).
The Nusra Front has been flooding fighters also into northern, mountainous Latakia, where Turkmen villages are split, with about half in the ranks of the anti-regime rebels. Turkmen speak a language close to Turkish and came into the Arab world as nomads from the 8th century forward, originating in Inner Asia.
The Syrian Arab Army on Friday made substantial advances in Turkmen Mountain in the far north of Latakia Province near the Turkish border, taking numerous villages and expelling al-Qaeda and allied fighters. This drive to reestablish regime control so close to the Turkish border has alarmed the Turkish government, which had been arming and supporting the rebellious Turkmen.
As of Friday, Turkey’s proxies seemed to be losing very badly, and it is unclear what options Ankara now has except Erdogan’s bluster.

Turkey “won’t allow” Russia to open another base. Turkey may need to think who they are threatening. Even the “vaulted” NATO won’t be able to save them if they go too far. The funny thing is that it really pains me to largely agree with this article. As a general rule, I’m very much in favour of dissent, and I’m deeply suspicious of calls to defend motherlands to the last breath. In my country of Canada, patriotism is all too often, as Samuel Johnson said, “the last refuge of a scoundrel”–and in the US, pretty much always. In Ukraine the politicians do little but call for insanity in the name of their motherland.
If it weren’t for the fact that the American Empire busies itself buying fake dissent everywhere in the world where they don’t like the government, my opinion would be very different. But it does; one of the things that I resent the most about the current world order is that in many places it makes normal political give and take nearly impossible by co-opting and corrupting all opposition to governments they want ousted. These governments are rarely perfect, and ideally I would want to see people criticizing them from a positive viewpoint, trying to improve things. Instead, dissent gets bought and channeled, leaving repression practically the only rational response. It’s important but very difficult to step on the bought-and-paid-for colour revolutionaries while leaving real alternative thinking alone; almost inevitably, people pointing out real problems will get swept under the rug with the traitors.
And since these countries really are under attack (and not just the governments, but the countries, since the only reason the empire dislikes the governments is their reluctance to let the countries be robbed blind one way or another) what can they do but call for patriotic unity? But there’s a toll there too; insistence on patriotism tends to create conformity, groupthink, hamper critical thought.
The need for excessive patriotism and suppression of (fake) dissent is in itself a problem caused by imperial aggression. We should be wary of celebrating it too much even when it’s necessary to do it. It’s like, in the Syrian civil war it is necessary to use artillery against towns occupied by the enemy, and sure we’re happy if that kills enemy fighters and helps drive them from the town, but that doesn’t mean that using artillery on your towns is generally a good thing worth celebrating.

Hezbollah’s involvement in Syria in support of the Syrian regime was, and is still, considered by the organisation a survival necessity for itself and for the regime. In 2013, the battle in Syria reached Sahat al-Abbasiyeen, the heart of Damascus. Until that date, President Bashar al-Assad refused any participation of Hezbollah beyond the front of Sayyeda Zaynab (the sister of one of the 12 Shia Imam Husein Ibin Ali Ibin Abi Taleb and nephew of the Prophet Mohammed), in the suburb of Damascus, a holy shrine for the Shia. The rebels and Takferees have bypassed another holy shrine, Sayyeda Ruqay’ya, occupied it and were at a demarcation line with sayyeda Zainab’ shrine. The shrine itself was shelled and Hezbollah fighters, protecting its surrounding, started to suffer casualties.
Assad called the leader of Hezbollah, sayed Hasan Nasrallah in March 2013. The meeting between the two men was not rare. A secure landline was created between them and the contact was regular. This is when Assad was in urgent need for an immediate meeting. He wanted Hezbollah full involvement in the war.
Nasrallah, before travelling to Iran to meet sayed Ali Khaminei after his meeting with Assad, asked from al-Majlis al-Jihadi, the highest military authority in the organisation, to study the military situation in Syria with the Syrian military commanders. Such an access, now allowed by Assad himself, was not permissible until that date.
Nasrallah was in need of a religious cover for all his men who are expected to die or remain injured. According to Hezbollah Shia doctrine of Welayat-al-Faqih, Nasrallah needed a religious Fatwa from a higher cleric he has declared loyalty to his doctrine.
By that time, the military commanders in Hezbollah were shocked by the outcome. “Are you asking us to intervene now that Jabhat al-Nusra and other rebels are in Damascus? Said a Hezbollah high-ranking commander to Nasrallah, not to decline his instructions but to explain the gravity of the situation. The decision was made and the blessing was given: Hezbollah must consider fighting the takferees as a priority above the one fighting Israel. The Takferees declared war against the Shia, men, women and children, while Israel was in war against Hezbollah.
Hezbollah’ objective to intervene was not only to save the regime. Hezbollah’s intervention is both ideological and existential. As a sum up in Hezballah’s words: “It is a religious duty, a continuity of military supply, a support to an ally in the “resistance axis”, a protection of its supporters in Lebanon from terrorist act, a backing for its presence as a main player, a balancing element in the struggle against Israel and finally a war quoted in the prophecy to stop the slaughtering of the Shia in Bilad al-Sham, Jabal ‘Amel (Lebanon) and until the final battle in al-Koufa (Iraq).”
Hezbollah’s intervention in Syria has not worsened the sectarian violence in Lebanon but has accelerated its timing and brought it into the surface. A sectarian struggle in Lebanon was expected to trigger extreme violence between the years 2004 and 2005. It was delayed due to the Israeli war in 2006 but seems difficult to avoid at a certain point. For Hezbollah, fighting the Takferees in Syria is less costly than facing these in Lebanon, and above all, in Shia controlled areas if they win in Syria and control it.

I used Texas as an example because many more people had heard of them talking about independence and so it would be easy to register with people. You are also right about border areas. Like much in history,that is a complicated question. I agree with the “basic” premise. But there are points needed explaining.On Lenin’s reasoning’s,I totally agree to the 2nd and 3rd reason. On the 1st,I’m not as sure. But I would certainly add a 4th reason. Which was I believe equally as important. The Jews were an educated group (in general) in the population. And that group was the one he could count on to be able to do the work. And with the reasons you gave. He knew he could trust them more to be committed to him.He could have just put peasants that supported him. And some of the working class or miners into those positions. But they didn’t (at that time),in large numbers, have the education and technical “know how” to do those jobs. The Jews have always put a lot of importance on education of the young in their culture. And because of that,and the careers open to them in society. They were the only Russians (again,in large numbers) that had the needed skills at that time. To be able to replace adequately the old bureaucracy.Stalin was able to replace some of them during his purges. Since, between the time of the Revolution and the 1930’s,the USSR had spread education nationwide to the peasant and working classes.So they had build up enough non-Jewish educated Russians (that were also loyal to them) to be able to do those jobs. A lot of people think Stalin was totally anti-Jewish. I don’t see that. There were ,during his rule ,all along,a large number of Jews in his administration. The ones he purged where Jews he didn’t trust to be loyal to “him”. And those,who, with the rise Worldwide of Zionism,he couldn’t rely on to not betray the USSR to Israel. Even worse for the West the Russians did not do so great in the first Chechen war but made up for in the second and they had fundamentally important help from Kadyrov and his father and their ability to rally normal Chechans who realized the takfiri are crazy-ass a-holes who just tools of Saudi Arabia and cared not at all how many chechens they killed for their foreign masters under the guise of a religion they and the normal Chechens ostensibly shared.
Why is that even worse? Because it was hard fought thing with failures and successes, its something that worked even when terribly challenged. It was battle tested and has stood to some amount of time.
Everything that happened with Russia re Chechnya puts the Western narrative to the lie. They had WORSE attacks than the Paris shooting and still, eventually, with determination from Chechens and other Russians the craziness was put down to a managable level.
What does the West have? All they can say is “Well we tried and you know we really messed up the entire country, but them folks well they just ain’t right in the head. Nobody coulda really done better than us, thems folks is crazy.” Lie. Proof? Chechnya. Solution? Create the narrative that Kadyrov is a crazy and corrupt despotic stooge.
Why is this so dangerous? Because the West could have done something like what happened in Chechnya but it hasn’t. Ask yourself do you really believe these militaries are truly incapable of such a thing? Remember the Russians did not have anywhere close to immediate success in Chechnya; they needed a second war. Even if the Western militaries failed once they should have eventually gotten to the point where they LEARNED something. The Russians learned something, oh yes they did, and further they very much wanted to solve the problem. So what is lacking in the West, its not learning, they just never wanted to solve the problem. Now we have ISIS and a large number of people know the various interests backing them and no one with an ounce of brains thinks the Western militaries have mounted any kind of serious attacks on them. Its been limp wristed BS since day one, and it not even fooling moderately deluded citizens of the USA (it fools the highly deluded people of either party but so would just about anything).
So what do we have:
1) ISIS is starting to make even USA citizens wonder if all these failed attempts in the middle east didn’t intentionally fail
2) Russia is showing in Syria that you can in fact prosecute effective tactics when done in conjunction with the proper allies
3) We have a past example in Chechnya just waiting for people to have it put together with #1 and #2.
When people start to wonder how Russia got these amazing new fangled tactics and strategies for fighting crazy people manipulated by foreign entities, they only need to look back 10 or so years its not hard.
So the West must poison the well before that happens. However since the Western media is completely controlled when it comes to foreign policy things, Chechnya will probably not get much press in this regard for quite some time. So they have quite some time.
Expect to see Kadyrov and general Chechen character assassination continue steadily and it will have a certain reliable thrust to it as well. They will be ridiculed in multiple ways, made to look like puppets. It will never be acknowledged that many Chechens were disgusted by the takfiri.

JJ, that research just tells us what any observer of Western, particularly Anglosphere, politics, MSM and society could have told you. That in those benighted lands the psychopath is King. The Authoritarian Rightwinger is the human ideal, and they have created a totalitarian operating system, Free Market capitalism, that has projected all the traits of the psychopath ie unrestrained greed, limitless egotism, fear and hatred of others, total unscrupulousness and the love of violence and intimidation to get your way, onto those societies, rendering them viciously cruel, aggressive, unequal and arrogant. And so unbelievably self-deluded that they see their wretched failed societies as the human ideal, and will never rest until they have imposed ‘Western Values’ on every society on Earth, whether they want it or not.

Kadyrov told his 1.6 million Instagram followers that the short video published on Monday had “scared to death the likes of Kasyanov and their cronies.” The video showing Kasyanov, who served as Russian prime minister in 2000-2004 talking to journalist Vladimir Kara-Murza Jr., coordinator of the Open Russia public movement, with a filter resembling rifle sights was later deleted by Instagram for violating its rules. “Kasyanov has come to Strasbourg to get money for the Russian opposition. Whoever didn’t understand will get it,” Kadyrov wrote in his deleted post.
