Though I don’t believe that this has happened in fact, I like the image a lot :-)
It’s quite plausible though, since the military has deployed to protect the British and Yankee embassies. If the Israelis were still there wouldn’t they too receive protection? And wouldn’t they feel a tad uncomfortable under Egyptian army protection? In any case, I am like you: I like the idea…
Also: In Tunis the friendly Israeli helpers of the local Gestapo left the country that way last week…
