    General question to the readers:

Now that that corrupt slimebag, Kasich, has dropped out of the race, do you folks think Ted Cruz will restart his campaign?

If Trump becomes the GOP nominee for president does this almost Guarantee that Hitlery Clinton will win the election?

the whole Donald Trump joke seems to have parallels to Ross Perot, whose actions also lead to the success of the other Clinton (Bill) in becoming president. this whole Donald Trump farce seems to maximize Hitlery’s chances: Women, Latinos and most African-Americans will vote against Trump, and a significant chunk of white males will vote democratic; ie the majority will settle for Hillary.

    what do you guys think?

Don’t underestimate Trump. He probably will pose the greatest threat to Hilary of all of the GOP candidates. He is hated by the media and of course by minorities, as he is a rich white man, but Trump can drive turnout in ways that Mitt Romney, John McCain, Jeb or Bob Dole never could imagine.

I think that for Trump to win, he needs to speak to issues of interest to Independents or even Democrats. Clinton is so hawkish it would not be difficult for Trump to run to Hillary’s left. Trump should choose a woman VP. Someone like Condoleeza Rice would be ideal. If he is forced to choose a hard core conservative, and continues to use rhetoric that Republicans want to hear, such as the “woman card” remark, I think he has no chance.

Don’t underestaimate the level of hatred of Hillary also on the left. The more they try to devalidate Trump (and also Sanders) as even “normal” people and candidates, the worse the establishment Dems look. The more it looks like the Hillary camp and Hillary herself think she is entitled to the presidency.

I find it incredible that Dem. pundits are accusing Sanders of putting his own campaign ahead of the interests of “his” party. WTF? Has Hillary ever hinted that if Bernie became the candidate she would support him?
        No.
She and teh Dem establishment have done all they can to sideline him, and now they have the chutzpah to *criticize* and undermine Sanders for having raised more money in small donations than Hillary has raised via whoring for Wall Street! How dumb do these people think the public really is?

Hillary is out for number one, period.
If Trump plays his cards right in “running to the left” of Hillary (which in foreign policy he already is doing), he can win. Let’s hope the campaign offers Trump a learning curve that somehow prepares him to take charge in a good way. A big chunk comes down to advisors, kitchen cabinet, and real cabinet picks.

No disagreement here on Hillary. I have voted for every Democratic candidate since I was old enough to vote. However, if Hillery is nominated I am writing in Bernie. Bernie reminds me of what the Democratic party was once before the Democratic Leadership Council. Bernie is the New Deal, Bernie is Ted Kennedy. Hillary is the Third Way. I am ashamed of myself for basing my vote for so many elections on lesser-evilism, which is no less than electoral extortion, while the Democratic Party has drifted so far to the right that I can find no meaningful distinction between Clinton and Marco Rubio (Sheldon Adelson’s first choice). The social issues such as abortion and gay marriage don’t offset for me the subservience to Wall Street and Israel.

I’m skeptical of Trump due to his buying into the Muslim terrorist meme and the fact that he is supported by Sheldon Adelson. But Hillary is no enigma, we already know how bad she will be.

I don’t disagree that Hillary is much hated on the Left. However, she is overwhelmingly favored in the media. They have tried to depict Trump as a very scary candidate. Trump must work to correct this.

He needs to show he can be compassionate, not just arrogant, thoughtful, not just smug. He needs to show he can be a nationalist without being a racist. I would love to see Trump call out Hillary on the Goldman Sachs speeches. I don’t know if his party would let him get away with it though. Trump needs to show his goal is to protect American workers against unfair trade treaties. Trump seems to support Medicare and Social Security. He should be questioning the neoliberal approach of dismantling these programs. Social Security is not safe with Hillary. Wall Street doesn’t want it so Hillary will not want it.

The immigration rhetoric was unfortunately, crazy, but he can still express a skepticism about importing unlimited numbers of people. I’ve heard a goal of 400 million people expressed by demographers by mid-century. By the end of the twenty-first century the US will be indistinguishable from India. If he can avoid personal attacks on Hillary’s gender he has a good chance.

Saker, thank you for posting this. Awaiting for you next pod cast. For this one the only thing that comes to mind: – Hillary or Trump? A Predictable Puppeteer vs. an Unpredictable Boogieman!
