Until these Crosstalk talking heads et al, recognize the true enemies of Syria they should stay home.
I have already posted today lower down the threads, that the ‘Syrian National Coalition’ is a US/Turkey ‘front’ and as the guy at 8.00 mark said they have not been in Syria for 25-30 years.
More ‘useful idiots’ to help yankland achieve regime change.
It’s a fair bet that most of these ‘command and control’ centres, logistics bases etc, would have been heavily ‘al CIAda’ staffed.
Those ‘civil contractors’ so beloved by John McInsane McCain.
No quarter,no mercy………no wucking fories….no cookies for them !

Crosstalk – Crosstalk – Crosstalk –
I bet The Saker $10 Peter Lavelle will never dare host this Anarchist.
I have no problem with Lavelle’s hosting a few Ass Holes (it is his show?!?!) But I will, at least attempt to criticize the lame – bating of Syria’s Assad, who was not there to defend himself, or the negating of the Holy sacrifice of Russia’s finest – to save the men, women, elderly, and children, of the world’s oldest civilization from utter destruction. That is what they are doing. Am I the only one who can see that?
That lovely Novorossyan Nurse who sacrificed so much to stop the Zio/American Nazis at Russia’s door, might have explained to the would be ‘Charlie Rose,’ why the murder of millions throughout the Mid East is such a crime, and asked Lavelle the question – “What side are you on?”
Oh your precious TV show! At least have someone on with a set of balls! I vaguely recall seeing that lady at a Hilary Clinton rally.
I agree. In fact I just spent an inordinate amount of time critiquing this show when I touched I don’t know what and it all disappeared into an irretrievable black hole. You said it better.
This is high school level, as I’ve said before, and I won’t even go into the sophomoric psychological dynamics nor a economic background check (Peter L. gets a pass and a get out of jail free card if he happens to land in the wrong place).
I should have gone through the roof when Phyllis equated Putin and Obama at the UN as being bombast. Obama took twice the allotted time; bombast or fluff or fluff and bluff?
I should have hit the deck when Danny said Obama doesn’t know. So what’s the NSA and its dozens of cousins for?
It’s probably good I lost what I lost. I was worried about crossing the line about attacking guests. However, I see that the moderators let the two comments above me through so I’m not at all sure where the line is.
I lampooned a few other non-sequiturs but let them rest in peace. I await with relish what succeeding comments will reveal. Oh, please, Love, let them be real.
The RT Banner saying “State Dept Continues to Demand Legitimate Govt of Syria be Changed” suggests that Dept doesn’t remember signing the Vienna agreement just last week. Not even Lil’ Abner would forget something that important! What was it Putin said: They have oatmeal for brains, or some such!
Phyllis Bennis is the biggest fraud out there. She infiltrates as many ME peace movements as she can, posing as some kind of liberal progressive bleeding heart academic, and then infects them with her duplicitous BS. She is very good at it, you have to give her much credit. She was one of the biggest cheerleaders for the Iraq war with her insidous demonizations of the Iraqi government and Saddam, and now the Syrian government and Assad. She always talks out of both sides of her mouth and sheds crocodile tears for victims of U.S. and coalition airstrikes like a champ. In short, Zionist shill. A really skillful one, though. The best of the best. Keep on inviting her back, she is very amusing.
The person works for a Washington-based think tank.
Her false and malicious caricature of the agression to destroy the Syrian government as being a complicated amalgam of 12 different powers vying for disparate outcomes is intended to sow confusion.
There are so many deficiencies with respect to her core assumptions and narrative of the war against Syria that I could only focus on her component of the show.
I like Peter Levell, but I also believe that he and other hosts on RT soft-pedal and dilute what could be more biting presentations/narratives of the dynamics that are unfolding in the war.
That said, the information and framing war is real–and there are target audiences that require being swayed incrementally and with finess.
Objectivity doesn’t exist when it comes to narrating and presenting information that impacts on social existence.
Shows like Cross Talk have an amalgam impact on generally English speaking people living under the thrall of a rouge and pathological empire, the USA.
That said, it is frustrating to listen to Bennis project very distorted framing of the war against Syria, Russia, and it regional allies in this struggle against jackal imperialism.
INterseting. Yes.
At first I thought she was really good and sayihg good things. Well, she did say a few good things. But then I noticed that Obama-Putin equation, and she wnet downhill for there. PLUS, becoming shriller and shrilller and kind of childish in the tone she took taking potshots at Danny while he was trying to speak. So, she behaved rather childishly and kind of let the cat out of the bag. Also with her 8 wars talk, it is clear that she gives no priority to the actual government of Syria to choose its allies.
She also cannot stand that the Russians actually are doing what they said they were going to do, which is help the Syrian government and state defend itself and rub the ISIS scum out. She has to present them as just another one of the lawsless entities that have settled in in Syria. And, she can’t accept that the Syrians might (a) vote for tehguy that she says they shouldn’t like; and (b) might not want a Western democracy. Geez, does she think anyone seriusly likes any of our presidential wannabes in this country????? WE are worse off than Syria in the department. of credible future leaders.
Abdallah didn’t get around to stating what kind of supraregional entity could encompass the multi-ethnic, or multi-Islamic or wahtever groupings that occupy that corner of teh ME. I also am not sure that Phyllis in on the up and up regarding the Kurds . . .
The second fraud is the double agent Abdullah al-Andalusi, aka. Mouloud Farid, “of Portuguese* and French/Colonial north african descent, and was formerly a Christian until he embraced Islam at 14 after a period of study that started when he was 10 years old. He has continued to study Islam in depth ever since. [*Portugal is part of the iberian peninsula that includes Spain. According to Muslim tradition, a revert/convert to Islam may choose to take on a name of Islamic significance upon becoming a Muslim (similar to the Christian tradition of using Hebrew-based ‘Christian names’ like ‘John’, ‘Matthew’ etc), hence he took the name ‘Abdullah’. It is also traditional for many Muslim names to contain the geographical origin of the individual appended to it in a byname (This is called ‘nisba’ in Arabic). Many reverts/converts from either of the Iberian countries, tend to take on the Arabic name for the Iberian peninsula itself: ‘Al Andalus‘ which becomes the byname ‘Al Andalusi’ (translated in english ‘The Iberian’). This should not to be confused with the current southern Spanish province ‘Andalusia’, formerly the Amirate of Grenada. It was the last part of Muslim Iberia to fall to invading Spanish-Christian kingdoms, and so the conquerors decided to use the spanisized version of the Arabic name for the Iberian peninsula (Al Andalus) to name its newly conquered province]” – {which is unadulterated BS, the name of the province od Andalusia coming from the Vandals}.@http://abdullahalandalusi.com/about/
He was grilled by The Telegraph in 12 Jul 2015:
“The Government watchdog which inspects police forces’ readiness for terrorism admitted that it employed one of Britain’s most notorious Islamic extremists… By night, he taught that the terror group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) was ‘no different to Western armies,’ said that ‘kaffirs,’ non-Muslims, would be ‘punished in hell’ and claimed that the British government wanted to destroy Islam. By day, using a different name, he went to work for the same British government at the London offices of Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC), the official regulator of all 44 forces in England, Wales and Northern Ireland…. The disclosures will be intensely embarassing to the Prime Minister, David Cameron, who has criticised parts of Britain’s Muslim communities for “quietly condoning” Islamist extremism. HMIC’s staff, who number less than 150, are given privileged access to highly sensitive and classified police and intelligence information to carry out their inspections…. HMIC admitted that Mr al Andalusi, whose real name is Mouloud Farid, had passed a security vetting check to work as a civil servant at the inspectorate…
He was subsequently promoted to executive grade, a management rank, placing him at the heart of the security establishment…
He was only sacked after bosses spotted him on television defending extremist Islamic positions on behalf of his organisation, the Muslim Debate Initiative, which is heavily dependent on Saudi money…The inspectorate insisted that he did not handle classified material but former friends of Mr al Andalusi said he had done so…
[A] former friend said Mr al-Andalusi used a number of pseudonyms and was always secretive about his real name but eventually revealed it in discussions with them.
Mr al Andalusi, who lives in a subsidised £750,000 housing association flat in Westminster, said last night that as Mouloud Farid he was ‘proud to work for a public watchdog which holds those in power to account. Cage are peaceful and not proscribed. Kaffir is a theological term which has no relation to non-Muslims’.
He has previously insisted that he does condemn terrorism and regards it as un-Islamic.”

Any of his comments on the topic is absolutely irrelevant. If you follow his website you will find numerous childish arguments, bordering on sheer stupidity, in trying to distract attention from his double-dealings.
Waragami,
I just had time to watch this Cross-Talk show. Reading the comments before making one of my own I came across yours. You make a point I was going to make; hitting the nail on the head. That being Bennis being a card carrying shill for the zionist, khazarian criminals. She is in bed with those who support the greater israel project. Thank you for your astute insight.
Wow, I am impressed with the critical engagement that the commenters here take to consuming ideas, framing of contexts and the core assumptions that define “authoritative” narratives.
Literally, confused analysis and distorted representations of violent conflicts promulgate human death and suffering.
My review of the progressive-left luminaries and intelligentsia with respect to Syria these past weeks has rocked my world.
How easy it is to be convinced by authorities that one can be inclined to trust because they project being on the side of “the good guys”.
The years of grotesque distortion with respect to the situation in Syria across the political spectrum in the US and the West is mind-numbing.
Indeed, one has to dig deep to find cogent information in what is clearly a huge black-out and info war program.
Barbarians are not at the gates. They are already inside.
Once again a raw power emerges from under a razor thin veneer of western civilization pushing human race into barbaric neo-feudal servitude or death.
It is not to say that eastern or other traditions are not barbaric, however, it was the West that developed and began implementing, fundamental concepts of personal privacy, individual sovereignity and other basic human rights in context of social contract negotiated between the state and the people, concepts truly new and original within the history of human civilization and now being abandoned or brutally suppressed by the western regimes.
I am not a subscriber to an apocalyptic view, or Hegelian ultimate struggle between good and evil. And hence I do not see this reignited confrontation building up between East and West into hot proxy war in Ukraine and Syria as some pivotal event or critical historical moment but rather as preprogrammed regression process of the civilization back into old social systems predominately based on brutal power and imperial domination of society and culture rather than an illusion of democratic process.
Such emerging barbarism shows its face also through official government statements spewed by propaganda stooges of MSM where short minded, little moral worms draw disgusting orgasmic pleasure from recent Russian airliner tragedy and appallingly wish for more of innocent people’s pain, suffering and blood, paralleling worst ISIS psychotic rants and implicitly rationalizing the horrendous reign of terror.
“however, it was the West that developed and began implementing, fundamental concepts of personal privacy, individual sovereignity and other basic human rights in context of social contract”
I think this goes back to the Magna Carta.
Bringing in more rights for the serfs to prevent rebellion.
More rights due to the French revolution to ensure it would not spread, and then more rights due to the Russian revolution.
Our democracies perhaps reached their peak in the period between the end of WWII and the end of the Vietnam war.
After the Vietnam war, the US began methodically taking control of the western media, and the age of information warfare began.
With the introduction of information warfare, most of the peasants rights could be taken away.
You cannot fool all of the people all of the time, but so long as you fool 51% of the people in a modern democracy, you will have power.
Well it started with targeting the unions and the black movement and after killing of all the leaders, there is no one to lead anyone. Whites think they are exceptional and wont lift a finger until they come for whitey.. This drives me nuts. They are so indoctrinated that they do believe the bullshit. They think anyone who fails the system is their own fault and they are above all that. I am not sure what more it would take.. The middle class has dropped from over $50K in the 70’s to like 30K now.. 50K in the 70;s was great, you could own a home, a car and create a great life for your family.. 30K now wont even pay for rent. 50% of American familes make less than 30K, like 75% make less than 60K, 90% less than 100k.. I made that kind of money and I had a hard time not getting deeper and deeper into debt so I have no idea how the other 90% live. Ofcourse I paid like 65-70% of that in taxes so I did not get to spend it all.. Still.. going to be very difficult to live on 50K let alone 30K..
“it was the West that developed and began implementing, fundamental concepts of personal privacy, individual sovereignity and other basic human rights in context of social contract negotiated between the state and the people, concepts truly new and original within the history of human civilization”
This is typical Euro-centric thinking since social contract concepts are very well present in all cultures. The talk of privacy and basic human rights makes it seem like the right of the dignity and related rights of a person was invented by Europeans but this is a simply untrue and far from the reality of the civilizations of the world historically.
I would contend that this sort of patting on the back harkens to the colonial mindset of the superiority of certain aspects of western European civilisation – a thoroughly discredited mindset – does a disservice to the real, accurate truth about ‘all’ the world’s cultures, including European cultures.
Turkish PM Says Ground Operations against ISIL Possible
2
By News Desk on November 11, 2015 World News
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu gave on Tuesday a signal for possible ground forces against the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) takfiri group.
“[Sending] Ground forces is something we have to talk together [with coalition forces]. There is a need of an integrated strategy, including an air campaign and ground troops. But Turkey, alone, cannot take all this burden. If there is a collation and a very well-designed integrated strategy, Turkey is ready to take part in these efforts in all sense,” Davutoglu said in an interview with CNN international’s Christianne Amanpour. http://www.almasdarnews.com/article/turkish-pm-says-ground-operations-against-isil-possible/
Shades of what I posted about yesterday.Setting the stage for intervention. The US and stooges have their MO.And what we are seeing these days, certainly fits that MO.First they set the stage by giving “reasons” it needs to happen. Then they move on to preparations. Then they do the deed.It can be stopped. But I don’t see many even realizing what they are up to yet.Once they reach stage three, its almost impossible to stop (not impossible, but almost impossible). The time to stop them is now,in the middle of stage one (unless they’ve already gone to stage two,and we just don’t know). From the US standpoint a political settlement of the war is a defeat for them (no matter the talk they do on supporting one).A political settlement would end the war.Rebuild Syria’s strength, keep the government in power (probably with Assad,or without).Give Iran and Russia legitimacy in the MENA. All and all,it would make the US look bad. They can’t let that happen if they can prevent it.How is the best way to prevent that? Bring in Turkish intervention, followed by US intervention “to aid a NATO ally”.Some people say they can’t with Russia there. As I recall Russian and NATO forces were both in the former Yugoslavia together. It wasn’t a happy arrangement, but it worked.NATO knows Russia doesn’t want war.And unless fired on won’t fire first. All the Turks and US have to do is conquer Eastern and Northern Syria for their plans to break-up Syria to work. There are no Russians in those areas. And almost no Syrian government forces there,to get in their way.As for what someone said before about “legality”.You are taking about the US.Since when does “international law” mean anything to the empire. When you control almost the entire MSM Worldwide you can do whatever you want and it will be reported to “somehow” conform to international law.To paraphrase a popular modern saying “International law ! Who needs no stinking international law”.
vt how could that woman not know what she is saying…I agree further up that she is a shill. And her earring kept wagging around and didn’t help her at all…I guess Peter Lavelle has had on some great guests in the past two weeks and he needed to get some neo-cons on there for someone upstairs…I don’t know…but tonight the guests were all lack lustre…
Excellent observation about her earrings, Ann! She always wears big-ass earrings and they always wag around like a pendulum, as if to hypnotize the audience. God, she’s good…
Russia in Syria.
Watching this video with what sounds like a Johnny Cash soundtrack, it struck me how where US once stood for freedom, it is now Russia that stands for freedom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnT7CMMu8_I
Some more flag waving here for Russia, Syrian army and Kurds.
Different music but great video. Helicopters taking hits at a round 5.00 and shrugging it off.
Russian Planet Dmitry Steshin: “The war in Syria is not as scary as in the Donbass”
Steshin Dmitry and Alexander Kots, special correspondent KP – the real heroes of the information war. They covered a lot of military conflicts around the world, spent months in the Donbass, and now write vivid stories from Syria
– Syria has strongly developed “olenizm” is a term from the Donbas, it invests a lot. Instability in the defense and lethargy in the offensive. The ostentatious contempt for death, turns into senseless losses. Aversion to fortification works, which is also bad for “deer” herd. Actually, the war in Syria, as we thought, is not such a terrible and cruel. This opinion was expressed by first Simon Pegov (war correspondent LifeNews. – RP). We were still in Moscow, he had us come to Syria. Virtually no counter-battery fight against the enemy. Syrian artillery hits from one position for a week. The New Russia is simply impossible to imagine.
Equipment in Syrian fighters is very modest, well, very modest. Personally, I did not see anyone wearing body armor. Kevlar helmets – a rarity. Picatinny rail strap Weaver, collimator sight, grenade launcher, ergonomic handles or butt, the clock G-shock, GPS or plates with maps, discharge or backpacks with a MOLLE, ankle boots from leading manufacturers – none of that in the Syrian army or extremely rare, at the level of statistical error. Or special forces.
Pigs in the Western media are at the trough so tightly that no strange stigma is not fit. Honest journalists simply be cut off from the air. This is done by one hand clapping. Therefore, the Syrian authorities have blocked a crane information. Westerners in Syria worked, but were constrained in their actions. Russian journalists have been somewhat easier. But, for example, in Maaloula where Sasha and I went without a special escort, we would not let him.
– Syria has always been very good to Russia. There are three countries where I feel totally comfortable, like home: Serbia, Syria and Mongolia. But help Russia shut off all the “brakes”. We thanked the streets, had tea, admitted that reading our accounts in “Facebook”, sent in the restaurant Araki bottle with a note in Russian “We will not forget your help”, chef lecturing us red star of lavash.
– In the Syro-Jacobite Church long association with the Russian Orthodox Church, even before the Revolution. There has always been a powerful stream of pilgrims. And after all antropotok are always artifacts. And the memory. We accidentally got on the baptism of two girls twins. We were met by their father and said, verbatim: “I specifically called the daughters names adopted in Russia – Anna and Mary. And the fact that they came to the baptism of Russian journalists in general for me a sign! “Most holy places where we were, in the temples – the icon of the traditional Russian letters. In the cell Saint Thecla right at the entrance hangs Our Lady of Vladimir.
Urban life is very secular Syrian. Smoking is allowed everywhere. A lot of shops with alcohol. There are a quarter of cinemas where the twist some mild sensuality. And next – a large mosque, all diluted in time and space, and does not interfere and does not dominate one over the other. And do not compete with each other. For me it is a great mystery – how so?
– I want one thing: wherever broke out in the Middle East, but that died out in Syria. To become an island of security and Latakia turned to our tourist paradise, where even at the end of October 35.
So tonight we had, 1.Peter,heart in the right place, but constrained I believe by RT’s “don’t piss off the West too much” policy. 2. A “liberal” who basically agrees with the West.Just doesn’t like how they operate. 3. A “moderate” Islamist.Who doesn’t like secularism. But doesn’t like head choppers either. 4. A pro-Syrian and pro-Russian guest. To my thinking the only right-thinking one of the guests. Pretty good show. But until RT’s policy changes it won’t get better. Always remember though. As much as we complain about Cross Talk, there is no other show that anywhere near supports our side except this one.So we should be happy for small blessings. Its still, for whatever failings it has .A hundred times better than CNN or Fox News talk shows.
Syrian Army Commander: “If approaching our coasts, the French nuclear aircraft carrier will be directly targeted” ~ [Eng-Fra]
The Syrian General Mohammad Issa, one of the top commanders of the Syrian army has threatened to target France’s aircraft carrier directly if he dares to approach the Syrian coast.
“The announcement made by France to involve the nuclear aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, in military operations in Syria will force the country’s army to directly target the aircraft carriers”.
“These strikes target Syrian oil wells and all this is done without the approval of Damascus government, which for us means the violation of our sovereignty”.
“The Western coalition has targeted so far no position or camp of Daech or other terrorist groups. Through its strikes France seeks to bomb our oil wells as revenge against Damascus who did not give to France any oil concessions”, insisted the Syrian General Mohammad Issa.
Uncle Bob 1 “As much as we complain about Cross Talk, there is no other show that anywhere near supports our side except this one.So we should be happy for small blessings. Its still, for whatever failings it has .A hundred times better than CNN or Fox News talk shows.”
Often, it is the seemingly ‘better,’ or, ‘more sympathetic,’ or, ‘less hostile,’ or, ‘more smiley,’ show or political personage that does the most damage. This particular “Crosstalk” was very revealing, as it allowed a demonizing of all the victims of merciless imperialism, and permitted them no defense. It defamed Assad and Putin, Syria, and Russia, with a smile. CNN, BBC, FOX, Reuters, NYT, US/Zionist State Department, do the same without the smile.
By way of analogy:
In America, the pretending ‘progressive liberal socialist democrats’ have started (for America’s part), or joined, all the major 20th Century imperialist conflicts, WW I, -Wilson, WW II, -Roosevelt, Korean War, -Hiroshima Truman, and Vietnam, -LB Johnson. The Repubs talk the talk, the fools /sheeple vote in the Dems, and the Dems plunge the knife.
You can see the declared-enemy coming, and take precautions; but the smiley-friend can knife you in the back when you have your guard down.
If we are going to have a TV News Show open to the public viewers,we have to expect that some guests will be our opponents. If we only put people that agree with us on, then we have no debate.I think we had no one that supported the empire (in what they said. What they thought I can’t say).Though 2 of them weren’t supportive of Assad or Putin either. As long as guests have an argument (and not just spout propaganda) I think its a good idea to debate them.To show our points are more valid.I think that’s what Makki and Peter were trying to do.I get pissed too when listening to the BS the empire stooges put out.But still I bite my tongue and remember that if I want free speech it should be free for them as well.I think Peter usually (within RT’s limits) handles them.
One of the rodents who burned Christians alive in cages has been sent to meat his virgins.
There was another one making a video about taking responsibility for placing a bomb on a Russian airline but he was bombed before he could finish his presentation so we will never know..

It would be great to target these PR rats directly so others who watch it get the idea that if they know you, you wont be alive to live it up. Since admission of guilt is as good as a summary judgment. DEATH.. don’t waste everyone time with trial and capture and putting on a good show.
Putin Laughs Off Hilary Clinton’s Threat To Russia, shows finger to Hillary.. Few years ago US was not afraid of Russia.. But we will show our aces and they will tremble.
The corraling of Kurds and Syrians into a ‘safe’ no-fly zone would facilitate the break-up and provide Erdogan with sitting ducks for elimination.
He also appears to be using the G20 summit to add ‘security threat’ to bolster his case.
There will be renewed pressure on Germany from the pov of ‘solving’ the migrant crisis too.
All very neat.
In tandem, Toner from the US State Department has re-iterated their opposition to PKK (and also YPD – too Syrian and Russian-allied for ‘comfort’). Support is going to Barzani in Iraq instead.
But the KRG (Kurdish Regional Government ) in Iraq is in disarray, so it’s anyone’s guess how the US can use Barzani as leverage/focal point for the various Kurd groups across the region.
Domestically, this could also spark more serious protests in Turkey itself: Erdogan is proposing nothing less than territorial expansion in the guise of ‘safe zone’ and the Turks must know the PKK won’t take that lying down.
And of course Russia will point out it is a violation of Vienna.
The Law of Unintended Consequences (
from Erdogan’s pov) could kick in harder, intensifying already deep divisions in Turkey. If it is increasingly perceived to be unstable and dangerous, the effects on trade and tourism will not be sustainable.

Sorry that anon was me.

Something to go with that….
Such emerging barbarism shows its face also through official government statements spewed by propaganda stooges of MSM where short minded, little moral worms draw disgusting orgasmic pleasure from recent Russian airliner tragedy and appallingly wish for more of innocent people’s pain, suffering and blood, paralleling worst ISIS psychotic rants and implicitly rationalizing the horrendous reign of terror.
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article43376.htm

Bennis, by example, not intentionally, provides some good insight into how the zionist phony left corrupts the narrative to protect the guilty.
vt how could that woman not know what she is saying…I agree further up that she is a shill.

For the Democratic Republics!
IMAGINE.
As long as guests have an argument (and not just spout propaganda) I think its a good idea to debate them.To show our points are more valid.I think that’s what Makki and Peter were trying to do.I get pissed too when listening to the BS the empire stooges put out.But still I bite my tongue and remember that if I want free speech it should be free for them as well.I think Peter usually (within RT’s limits) handles them.

http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/allies-warming-to-no-fly-zone-in-syria-erdogan.aspx?pageID=238&nID=91026&NewsCatID=510
One wonders who wants a civil war in Turkey…
