    Ukraine turmoil LIVE UPDATES http://rt.com/news/kiev-clashes-rioters-police-571/

“Monday, March 10 23:05 GMT: Police in Crimea have detained a number of people who, under the guise of policemen, were damaging citizens’ passports. According to authorities, an undisclosed number of suspects were arrested on Monday in the cities of Simferopol and Saki.

“The perpetrators disguised as police officers demanded that citizens show their passports , after which they were taken away or damaged ” police said in a press release.

Law enforcers are calling on anyone affected by the fraudulent actions to immediately contact authorities to recover their documents.

Crimean news service also reported that scammers disguised as police officers in Evpatoria were offering to exchange Ukrainian passports for Russian ones. They were reportedly visiting homes and offering “simplified replacement procedures.”

Earlier, the mayor’s office in Simferopol voiced fears that the suspects are trying to derail the referendum scheduled for March 16. The office explained that no additional verification of the documents before the referendum day is required.”

Looks like a typical Mossad/CIA op.

Speaking of “Crimea’s Fait Accompli”, did you see this news today:

Crimea Prime Minister Sergei Aksyonov said on 10 Mar 2014: “The Ukrainian [navy] fleet in Sevastopol will be nationalised in full [by Republic of Crimea]. We are not going to let their ships out…. A navy of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea will be created, and subsequently, if the referendum gives the go-ahead for accession to Russia, it will be incorporated into the Russian Armed Forces.”

He also said: “All military units of the Ukrainian army [currently in Crimea] are blocked by self-defence units now. After the referendum makes the decision to join Russia, they will have to either leave Crimea or, if they are prepared to serve in the Armed Forces, take an oath of allegiance to the autonomy or the Russian Federation. http://en.itar-tass.com/world/722859 , http://en.itar-tass.com/world/722861

By the way, I thought the RT Cross-talk video was boring. The guests just re-iterated the media talking points that the Kiev gov’t is a putsch gov’t and the Western media is tripe. No talk about the important questions. The most important question (I assert) is eastern Ukraine. What’s happening and what’s not happening and what’s going to happen in eastern Ukraine?

Why does NATO/EU media call the new and also old rich in Russia ‘oligarchs.’ but does not refer to the American new and also old billionaires as ‘oligarchs?

Is it the purpose to create a new terminology for everything what is Russian?

Turkey invaded little defenseless Cyprus, killed thousands and has occupied part of the country for 4 decades! Is Turkey suffering sanctions? No.
Israel annexed The Golan Heights and no sanctions.
The sanctions on Russia would have come sooner or later, with Crimea or without Crimea.
UKUSA countries want to wipe Russia off the map.

“The realnewsnetwork? Are you serious? :D

These zionazi mouth pieces propagandized the attempted green “color revolution” in Iran and defended the zionazi attacks on both Libya and Syria. The program you reference blames Putin for what is happening in the Ukraine and is typical of the sort of stealth zionist propaganda used to influence liberal/left target audiences.

You should be ashamed of yourself promoting this sort of zionist spin.

Let me sum up this zionist rubbish: poor Turkey, they have this group of people in Crimea (Tatars) being abused by evil Sov..Russians, oi vey, what are we to do. What is gong on here is the promotion of the same terrorist operations that the Jewish zionazis used their “Turkish” quislings to run terrorise against Syria. This is what passes for alternative media in the zionazi ruled west.

One (for the US fascist regime) negative consequence with their sabre rattling in and around Ukraine is that people are rallying in support of President Putin and Russia from Moscow to Vladivostok.

Putin´s popularity figures have gone up 10% since the US staged coup! This development must have been included in Russia´s offensive-like strategy against the western aggression and will undoubtedly make it harder for “McFaul´s fools” and other western NGO´s still operating for regime change with a possible Kiev scenario in Russia. The unyielding US Nazi/bandit-support and anti-Russian hostilities from it´s local fascist regime must likewise lead to increased public demands of a more open direct intervention to save the Ukrainian Russians from aggressions, encouraged by the US, and to secure the perimeter from NATO bases, missiles, Nazi thuggery and whatnot, dont you think?

Only Russia’s reversal to using typewriters, triggered by the Snowden leak, made it possible to outsmart the NSA, that is otherwise able to sniff on almost anything entering and exiting a computer.

Thanks Ed! Unfortunately though, you’ve just made Obama hate you a helluva lot more! Good luck with your fair trail once Barack gets the Enigma deciphering machines back from the museum and gets on your tracks, to render you to enhanced interrogation in ‘murica.

Two US drones allegedly shot down in Crimea http://voiceofrussia.com/news/2014_03_11/Two-US-drones-allegedly-shot-down-in-Crimea-5071/

“A US unmanned reconnaissance aircraft has allegedly been shot down over Crimea, the Novosti Kryma (News of Crimea) online newspaper reports.

The drone was allegedly surveilling Crimean troop positions over the Turetsky Val block-post, the newspaper quotes a Cossack source as saying.

The unsanctioned aircraft had been spotted by Crimean self-defense forces and Berkut policemen.

Another, heavier, drone, a two-engine one, has been allegedly shot down and fell outside the block-post’s area.

Each drone costs around $4 million.”

Poll in Crimea shows 77% of for joining Russia, 8% staying with Ukraine. They also asked several other questions about the coup in the Ukraine. It would be interesting to see the results of similar polls from the various Ukrainian regions, but the zionazis would make it impossible to conduct honest polls there.

Опрос: Жители Крыма и Севастополя планируют голосовать за присоединение к России (Poll: Residents of Crimea and Sevastopol plan to vote for joining Russia)

    http://vz.ru/news/2014/3/11/676513.html

Also the site that published the results has been under attack by the usual suspects:

    “11:43 GMT:

The website ‘Referendum 2014’, which is dedicated to the March 16 2014 referendum on the status of Crimea, has reportedly undergone Distributed Denial of Service Attacks (DDoS). Activists tasked with maintaining the site said the “massive” attacks were directed from both the United States and Ukraine, Interfax news agency reports.

The site founders had initially opened the site with the .ua Ukrainian domain before switching over to a Russian domain. They accused Kiev of attempting to “restrict freedom of speech.”

“On the night of March 11, 2014, our [site] was subject to DDoS attacks and was blocked twice over.”

They said the site has been moved to the page http://referendum2014.ru

Following up on the comment by Anonymous at time 21:46 above, in Obama’s Executive Order on Ukraine, dated 6 Mar 2014, under section 4 (a) there is a prohibition on “the making of any contribution or provision of funds or services to… any person determined… to have engaged in, directly or indirectly,… actions or policies that undermine democratic processes or institutions in Ukraine… or actions or policies that threaten the stability, sovereignty, or territorial integrity of Ukraine.” http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2014/03/06/executive-order-blocking-property-certain-persons-contributing-situation

That language means that a person who’s subject to US law cannot give material support to an entity in Ukraine that is advocating for the partition of Ukraine into separate jurisdictions.

Obama’s Executive Order on Ukraine also declares that the events in Ukraine “constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States, and I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with that threat.” A national emergency? A national emergency? It is a lie. http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2014/03/06/executive-order-blocking-property-certain-persons-contributing-situation

This rather bizarre group is getting some coverage due to its anti-Putin/Russia rants.

    http://femen.org/

I suspect that the intelligence agencies are pulling out all stops to demonize Putin’s actions, even organizing a group whose homepage shows a woman with a sickle in one hand and a man’s testicles in the other.

Here’s another commentary, which looks to me to very balanced, on the implications of the Ukrainian situation:
