Dear friends,
This is really neat! I just got an email from TyrannyUnmasked who informed me that he had come across a video of Snordster reading my article clumsily entitled “The USA are about to face the worst crisis of their history and how Putin’s example might inspire Trump” and that he made a video on the basis of that reading.
Below TyrannyUnmasked’s video followed by the original video of Snordster.
I have to say that I am grateful, honored and deeply touched that somebody would go through the effort needed to put my words into what I think are superbly made videos. The voice and the visuals add a punch with my writings certainly lacked.
This is also a superb illustration of the power of Copyleft in general, and specifically of the Creative Commons CC-BY-SA 4.0 International license (creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0) which *specifically* allows for the copying, redistribution, remixing and transformation of the original materials.
A huge thank you! to TyrannyUnmasked and Snordster!
I hope that you will enjoy their videos as much as I did.
The Saker
It seems your article has come full circle. Your vast knowledge of both U.S and Russian politics + Snordsters soul grabbing voice and superb ability to captive an audience + my ambition in making this great piece into a full production.
I am grateful you appreciate it, as I look forward to further thought provoking articles in the days to come.
Russia was at the 4th stage of Orlov’s 5 stages of collapse when Putin arrived. I guess it is very hard to tell people not to believe their lyin’ eyes by that stage. Anything vaguely upwards is likely to be pretty popular.
Second, as noted in the video, for any radical power reconfiguration, security is job 1. Putin came out of the security sphere, he knew the most reliable food tasters.
Third, whatever people say about the KGB/FSB, it is credible to believe that they truly did understand how the world was configured on a real time basis (cold, hard realism, plentiful sources, intense observation, study, gaming and thoughtful academic analysis). Putin manifestly understands the black heart of the USA like few do – even in Washington perhaps. His briefings are probably reliable, he understands them, and he knows the beast.
Fourth: He is still essentially playing a Fabian strategy: He doesn’t yet have the pressure to manage/defend global assets.
In the US people are anxious, but I’d wager a moderate sum that a little over half don’t yet feel they need a savior (unfortunately).

Many thanks for this excellent presentation of truth. I hope this goes viral. The Saker Vineyard has proved prophetic and providential. A Saker is a falcon that feeds on rodents, the tough love part. A Vineyard is traditionally and religiously a place of peace and love where the fruit of life hangs on vines. This is the tender love part. Together they make a sacred marriage of a community that is powerful and gentle, an icon of Christ Jesus protected by strong orthodox men of principle and women of nurturance; acting for in the best interests of children who are our future.
Very creative approach to serious thinking.
It makes for added impact to the thoughts and words of Saker’s analytical piece.
The editorial judgement of the videomaker is excellent. The production is spot on.
What really works is how words with the right images magnifies the insights Saker wrote.
It is a very, very compelling political form. It also sets a very high standard.
I hope anyone who tries to emulate it works as assiduously to do subsequent videos.
Let’s not debase a new mode of communicating analytical works with weak or trivial productions.
I congratulate all involved in this video.
This will all end badly. Saker accurately characterizes Clinton, and yet I find(coming from a left of center, Green Party perspective)that my friends and family are more or less genetic Democrats. Impossible to have discussion with comparing Trump v Clinton.
My observation is that the only real possibly positive position Trump has is in saying he is in favor of negotiation not confrontation with Russia. However, he wants to increase military spending—for what purpose, given the monstrous size and parasitic nature of the military budget as it is? I see Russophiles like Saker and those at Fort Russ, etc. seeing Trump and the ‘savior’, who will prevent the worst from happening. Due to his spiritual immaturity–his businesses are prize fighting, beauty pageants and gambling–he has no concept of Right Livelihood–he cannot succeed. To put it simply, Donald Trump is no Vladimir Putin.
He chose Pence which was a bad choice and he wants to appoint more cryptoFascist people like Antonin Scalia to the Supreme Court. He wants to support the unsustainable oil and fracking industry, which is poisoning the country’s water supply.
His base of support are the most ignorant and bigoted elements of US society. Piecing together a coalition of disaffected Leftists who despise Clinton along with the hateful Tea Party does not sound like a marriage made in Heaven.
The two highly dysfunctional choices of Trump and Clinton, worse, if that is possible, than their predecessors, is a symptom of the deep Spiritual Cancer that was embedded in the US body politic from the very beginning. Genocide of the Natives, enslavement of the Africans, marginalization of people without property, all the scandals and wars of the 19th century, Manifest Destiny, and the continuing deterioration of US society due to accretion of power and wealth at the expense of the country as a whole—it is like a snake eating its tail.
When Obama was running for President, he trotted out his cool Pastor to show how hip he was, but then some old sermons of Rev. Wright came out, where the Pastor said, “The chickens are comin’ home to roost…God Damn America”. Obama quickly threw his ‘spiritual guide’ under the bus.
Spoken like a true Biblical prophet, Rev. Wright’s indictment of the litany of crimes and injustice speaks for itself. He was not swearing when he said that, he was predicting what would happen. Nothing will save the country from its ignorance, destructiveness and insatiable greed for power and wealth.
There is a cartoon book that came out years ago, “Addicted to War, why the US can’t kick militarism” (or something to that effect). Like all addicts, unfortunately, it will have to hit bottom before there can be any hope of spiritual renewal. And, just as likely, as with the most addicted, an overdose is well within the realm of possibility.
We can all try to stave this off. Trump has an immature and flawed understanding of the nature of the problem. Probably too little, too late. Personally, I support Dr. Jill Stein, who has the character, intelligence and ideas to turn things around. And of course in this election, she will be lucky to get the 5% needed to get the Green Party off the ground. If she can, and if the two major candidates don’t blow up the world, there is a snowball’s chance in hell that the country can turn itself around. Well, miracles do happen if we pray enough.
I was going to try something witty but wit fails me in reading your treatise. All I can say is apples don’t fall far from the trees.
Auslander
Please explain. What apple and what tree? I get a feeling of personal disparagement from you which does not seem fitting for the Saker site. If you wish to criticize what I wrote, then please be specific and we can consider it together. Your comment feels like a put down with no back up. You are well respected here, so your somewhat hurtful remark seems beneath you.
The US military budget is increased so as not to anger the military so they will not support Trump. You have to feed the dogs their supper or they will attack you. It also keeps the right wing rah-rah, ‘red neck’, ‘patriots’ happy, as well as those working in the defense manufacturing business in the various states, and the politicians there. It doesn’t matter if the weapons are never used since a primary purpose is to redistribute wealth from the rich states to the poor ones (even the military boondoggles like the F-35 do that).. Every state gets a piece of that action.
This is where Trump is quite vulnerable. His base is the red neck rah rah patriots. That is my concern. Trump is correct in asserting that manufacturing has gone overseas because of corporate tax benefits–getting paid to off shore and outsource. So what is left is the ‘Killing Business’. I would feel a lot better about Trump if he specifically pointed out, for example, that just as Eisenhower’s interstate highway system created many jobs but also dramatically improved transportation and commerce. So China’s building out its high speed rail system is doing the same thing for China. He could be talking about breaking our addiction to extractive fossil fuel technology, investing in young people’s education to rebuild a green infrastructure. By pandering to the ‘ignorant right’ (as opposed to the more sane Right elements that oppose Empire), he is limiting his options in the future.
If Trump is truly interested in making America great, then wasting money on things that we hope never get used–killing machines–would he not be wiser to talk about industries that actually help the society, such as high speed rail, renewable technologies, and real fixes to the health care system? Changing our food production from corporate and fossil fuel based to local and organic? These are just some examples of what can and should be done. Why are these not discussed?
The US system is dysfunctional — and Trump, while understanding some of this, is also dysfunctional.
“Beat swords into plowshares’ is not just a method for peace but a jobs program. The money spent on the military could be used for rebuilding infrastructure, developing sustainable energy, and so forth, but it would mean disturbing those in charge of current systems and they do not want to get reeducated and retrained, and be at risk of not succeeding or losing their status — or even forced to make the effort.
We can understand why there is the military, etc. complex, but that is not the same as changing it, or being able to change it. We need to understand much more to effect a change, and many, including those running things, are not capable of such understanding and learning. Trump, as with others, has rather limited wisdom in this, and no one can handle the who task by themselves — and current modes and methods of effective collective intelligence and organization are very limited. It will many little steps from many people — Trump may be one little step, or one spark of light in some areas, but he can’t change the world or everyone else’s understanding.
Maybe if he is once elected he can change his statements for the better, but I doubt he understands the deeper issues or would able to make the transition — or have the resources to deal with them, with all the other problems he would face — unless there is some remarkable elevation of consciousness in the general population (how likely is that?). Maybe he could plant a few seeds, though, or wake some people up?

I am female, with three college degrees. A registered Democrat all my voting life. I will be voting for Trump. My friend, female, college educated, will be voting for Trump. My neighbor and her husband – not rednecks – will be voting for trump. My daughter, college educated, will be voting for Trump. Anecdotal……but still..
One of the best written and produced videos I’ve seen in years. Taking Saker’s words and publishing them thusly is not only a work of art but a stroke of genius. The message comes through loud and clear. We must hope that this video gets a great deal of attention in the general populace of not only USA but also Europe and Russia.

Wow!
Extremely effective.
Watched the first video. Excellent use of convergent technology.
Canada’s Harold Innis (past professor of political economy at the University of Toronto) came up with a theory and model of empire and civilizational scale that divided the use of written and oral traditions — written form to conquer space (empire as bureaucracy) and oral form to conquer time (intergenerational spans).
Marshall McLuhan picked up this theme and made it somewhat popular in earlier decades with his phrase “The medium is the message”.
Wikipedia notes that this phrase ca be taken as “… meaning that the form of a medium embeds itself in any message it would transmit or convey, creating a symbiotic relationship by which the medium influences how the message is perceived.”
With a semi-literate dumbed-down (no fault on the victims) population of uneducated and mesmerised citizen-consumers, thanks to the ‘austerity’ programmes of the dominant neocon zionist contemporary fascist, the written word cannot of itself be relied on to transmit and communicate the fuller texture and nuance of the message to the wider field of intended recipients.
This innovative and artistic use of voice and image (oral tradition) to help transmit the deeper sense and meaning (of the Sakers text), that an educated and somewhat aware reader (with a prepared mind) can absorb, is now made more available to another audience — another audience that, although it is wandering in a (be)wilderness of PR mind-numbing media propaganda, is still somewhat able to act if (and only if) the constructed and artificial complexity of the situations of concern can be interpreted and unpacked for them.
This example of convenient and timely convergence is a form of ‘singularity’ bringing together the two ‘right and left’ sides of the brain — not singularity as in some imaginary sci-fi cyber-human Golm creature predicted for the 2020’s, but rather of the creative and effective use of the modern media tools at the hands of skilled artisans and technicians to create a holistic homeostatic balance within the observer’s experience. A 3rd emergent perspective ‘space’ that exists in the ‘common’ experience of 2-3 gathered together in the name of Truth etc …
Intelligent people need to develop critical thinking skills — and for this they need a diversity of views and opinions to form a judgement between. When seen from this perspective, much of the miasma of the contemporary magicians can be reframed as an assault by power and vested interests into the deliberate and intentional destruction of the ‘Commons’ — the Tragedy of the Commons is that even now we have many nation states with the label “Commonwealth” but where is the wealth; and where is it common purpose (for the people)?
Do the math! We have nothing but global ‘Debt-ism’. And the system of ‘Wall St’ thieves in suits, living the good ‘A-Class’ lifestyle on the engineered fees and trickery of financialised assets that supports their parasitism, is intent on subverting the common-wealth of the people (on Main Street) wherever it exists. And the media has been co-opted to promote this devient state.
This is the Moral Hazard! And it’s time to close the loop on risk and feed it straight back to the criminal actors. Deutsche Bank has stared exploring this in its decline as it considers paying executive bonuses with the same junk trash ‘bonds’ that these same executives foisted on others. Once this cycle begins then the corrupt banking systems will tend towards self correction. (http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-25/deutsche-bank-considering-alternatives-paying-cash-bonus).
Michael Moore’s recent pre-election critique is the 4-minute USA Essay du Jour. (https://youtu.be/YKeYbEOSqYc )
Intelligent people need to develop critical thinking skills and this capacity is facilitated best in the current busy complex internet context by way of example — this joint-effort ‘Copyleft’ example of the Saker’s works in particular: quality and quantity. It is surprising how quickly people get it once it is demonstrated how it works. New eyes and ears are opened.
What we see and hear in this rendition of the Saker’s text is the shared awareness of the writer and the reader (and image makers) which together can be more easily appreciated by a new and wider audience. A new orientation is transmitted as shared common experience.
Our perceptions of time may well be collapsing under the influence of the internet. Far distant futures now seem medium-term; medium-term as critically imminent (‘end of cycle’ times in the minds of the many!) and so perhaps we should not be surprised that Karl Marx’s “History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce” seems to be co-existent and running in parallel. Tragedy in the Ukraine and Syria: farce in the USA and EU.
By way of personal constructive feedback: It is a touch long and the Saker/speaker would improve the impact for the general You Tube mind/audience if they came in at around 10-12 minutes. Sometimes, less is more etc. Otherwise a great start to a new direction of collaboration (I trust). I’d suggest a crowd-sourcing effort to help fund and promote this re-presentation of the Saker’s works. I’d be happy to help as long as it is not PayPal dependent.
It definitely qualifies as “art@work” imo.
More please!

What a great response! I do appreciate the thoughtful words and insight your were willing to explain in such depth. I do agree on the constructive feedback in regards to the length, however in this situation, I decided to leave the full length of Snordsters Narration. I have many projects in the works and would be honored to collaborate with Saker if so willing. Granted my Narrations are nowhere near as reaching as Snords bassfull voice. Hopefully he will be up for a collaboration.
On that note, I do have a funding campaign I recently put up for those willing.

Much regards!
A really awesome video.I don’t think it could have been done better.I’m talking of the first one. The second was good as well. But the images connected to the first. Were perfect for the video.
Cogratulations Saker! Excellent video particularly because they are your words.
You have such a gift with the written word. You deserve this honor. Sincerely.
Absolutely loved the voice in this video.
If I had millions of dollars I’d pay this man to read to me. Very impressive voice and so clear too.
Thank you for all you do Saker & God bless you.
Regards,
Carmel by the Sea
Yes the videos are great! Made Saker’s speech comes across 100x stronger!!!
this video – the top one, which I haven’t yet finished listening to – about the neo-cons and how can’t Trump win against them and how Pence is such a failure
My friend Catherine (Austin Fitts) thinks Pence is just the right guy for Trump because of Pence’s long time experience in politics – –
If two strong men disagree about something – so what ? Hopefully they’re dignified about it.
Trump won’t go into Syria – its insane and he won’t do it. How can he make America great again by bleeding it dry with military spending ? C’mon people get clear-sighted !
i read articles everyday by people that think they have a clearer vision of Putin’s (Trump’s) job than he does…
–
I’m going to finish watching now.
Dear Snordster, I would love to listen to the Book of Psalms, Proverbs, Job & Ecclesiastes (my “champions” of the Bible) narrated by your impressive & calm voice… ;)
God bless you & do not bury your gift in/under-ground… :)
Cheers & hugs.
The first video is very effective in stimulating further thought.
Well done.
I have a problem here.
There is a statement in the part dealing with the Young recently ex-KGB agent becoming elevated to Prime Minister, acting President status.
Firstly it claims that Putin got voted in as President in his own right due to his handling of the bandits of Chechnya. That’s not so. As he himself said, “few people knew about Chechnya, the average person was not interested” He got voted back because pensions and most workers got paid. The first thing he did was to make sure everyone got paid, and could go out and buy food.
Secondly, the statement is made that Medvedev was selected to be the Atlanticist accompaniment to Putin.
This is rubbish. Firstly, if the claim that Putin was put in power by the Oligarchs because they thought they could run him is true, why did they need an Atlanticist?. They must have thought Putin himself was one.
Secondly however, in his Autobiography Putin states, in answer to the question. “Who do you trust, who is on your team” Putin replied instantly, “Sergei Ivanov, then “Dima Medvedev. He has a doctoral degree in jurisprudence and is a fine expert. I had planned for Dima to head up the Fed. Sec. Commission. He is a specialist in the securities market. …but we haven’t decided yet specifically where to use him”
None of which sounds remotely as though Medvedev were or is some sort of 5th column Atlantacists wished on Putin .
Only God can save America…
But I don’t think God wants to do that…
Why would anyone want to save America and what it stands for anyways…
America will be made an example for everyone who is still alive after its destruction…
Well, it looks as if Trump wants to be friends with Russia
in hopes they will back NATO when he decides to rain hell down on
Palestine, Iran and whoever Israel directs him to.
