It’s not really news, but it still amazes me: for two days in a row no Jen Psaki, speaking for the regime in Washington, has declared that the USA has doubts about the real affiliation of the Russian journalists working for the Russian new outlet LifeNews. Even though the professional record of these journalist is in the public domain and very well know (they have worked for many years including abroad), Mrs Psaki believes it is possible that there were spies. Ditto for the reporters of Russia Today which are still being held incommunicado.
Also in the news, the house of Oleg Tsarev has finally been burned.
I say finally, because:
1) The oligarch-mobster Kolomoisky had promised that to Tsarev
2) Tsarev had predicted that too
3) The house next to Tsarev had already been torched by mistake
I suppose that Mrs Psaki will speak of a “natural fire”, or a “spontaneous combustion” or even an “operation of the Russian special forces” and threaten Russia with more sanctions.
As for the Western media, it couldn’t care less. Just like when Uncle Sam bombed the TV station in Belgrade. After all, anybody opposing the AngloZionist Empire is a) a propagandist and b) subhuman.

Hey, people, do not be so narrow-minded.
Mrs. Pseki is a brilliant actor.
Watch the whole gamut of means to show herself as a perfect lier – sometimes she’s witty, then downright moron, then she plays sweet idiot or surprised maiden or plays being caught of guard, and so on.
She smiles, she’s being rude or uncouth, she’s attentive or flippant or disdainful, she’s serious or deaf or blind.
Full spectrum dominance on her press conferences.

P.S. But sometimes she simply looks like her inner self – wretched, malicious and kinky warrior of the US Hegemonic State Department.
I have a feeling that the International Community is going to find itself very isolated in a while.

Suggested UPDATE Graham W. Phillips is tweeting now that he has been released and calling for the immediate release of his LifeNews.ru fellow journalists.
Apparently from their tweets the British consulate and even the Russian Embassy in London did lean on Kiev that Phillips be released after Graham’s Twitter friends petitioned his MP in the UK.
Perhaps (I’m speculating here) the junta also did not need the headache of bad publicity and even journalist Simon Ostrovsky from Vice that Phillips previously interceded for with the Donbass Republic authorities to release calling for his freedom.
As other commenters pointed out in previous threads regarding the Forbes piece criticizing Kiev and specifically the gangster Kolomoisky there has been a shift in Western reporting. It is still anti-Russia but not as strongly pro-Kiev at this point, with even the Daily Beast which the independent D.C.-based journalist and former Navy/NSA analyst Wayne Madsen says has been a mouthpiece for the CIA admitting pro-Kiev forces have killed civilians during the Donbass fighting:
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/05/19/why-putin-really-will-pull-back.html
Artillery shelling is heard in Slovyansk almost every night. The region from Odessa to Donetsk has been flooded with stories about Ukrainian nationalists killing innocent men and women, many of them true. (emphasis added). But the Russian army never came. The separatists held a referendum that they claim validated their quest for independence, if not indeed annexation back into the Russian empire. But even before that happened, Putin had started signaling his willingness to honor the results of other elections, to be held this weekend, for a Ukrainian national government.
Whenever I am constipated for more than 3 days I watch Jen Psaki. It works every time! She’s better than laxative.
Personally I am delighted that they have someone like Psaki. She is a living caricature, and the more she is allowed to speak the more damage she creates for her bosses. I would me much more worried if they had an intelligent man like Dimitri Peskov doing the propaganda work.

Psaki’s only doing what she’s told to do, and she’s paid well for doing it. And she and her paymasters will continue doing exactly what they’ve been doing until they can no longer get away with it.
Saker, I keep getting more impressed with your take on all of this, because Putin is simultaneously playing it straight — unlike our lying psychopaths — and avoiding all of their traps. Plus, of course, charting an appropriate and effective course for his country and — unlike our Great Leaders — thinking of the welfare of the people in it. China actually ridiculed us today (most unlike them) and as this fiasco-atrocity goes on, the Emperor’s New Clothes — our lies, violence, rapacity and emptiness — will become apparent to more and more people everywhere.
But we’ve still got to be treated gingerly, because Lord only knows what damage these people are capable of when they realize it’s over. So Psaki will continue to spout absurdities until she’s replaced with someone else doing the same thing. And there’s not a Presidential or Congressional candidate in sight who’ll willingly change this — plus, the Supreme Court will only get worse.
Can anyone even imagine a peaceful scenario for our getting rid of our oligarchs and back on the rails?

The Saker,
Your “Ukraine SITREP May 20th” published after Strelkov statement shed some hazy light on Ukraine. Very weak but it allows to see a little.
Madam Nora in her comment pointed to Mike Whitney’s latest piece in CounterPunch, http://www.counterpunch.org/2014/05/21/showdown-in-ukraine/
gave anther “food for thoughts” (Mme Nora: “please excuse the rotten pun” :-) )
Strelkov’s nearly daily reports are always suggestive and inquisitive for readers.
Let’s start with one salient claim:
the present status quo is not going to live long, it simply cannot be supported by both sides.
Defenders hidden in fox holes versus armored cavalry with artillery support ready for full scale assault on a bugle sound.
Either Russia will leave Ukraine in the hands of Kiev regime, which only wait to unleash its murderous dogs dribbled with rabid nationalism, to “gently” persuade all Ukraine citizens to the Great Ukraine “they all dreamed off from cradles” (I’ve seen small “expose” of one of Azov thugs – how they are organized in small groups across all levels of Ukrainian society), or it will have to put inextricable dam to the Hegemonic Empire insidious sally into green plains of Asia with all its raw and human resources (just as it was presented in Mr. Whitney article).
For me and my way of thinking there’s “tertium non datur” for Mr. Putin. Any middle road is a road to nowhere – it will swerve in one way or the other I described above with a force of hundreds of tornadoes. I have no doubt about it.

The LPR and DPR defenders must change way of fighting. There must be clear-but front line with captured territories.
On freed areas people must create new local authorities and provide war support resources and providing new fighters.
Or they count on Russian intervention in close future.
Here I stop as May 25th is a great unknown – will the results will be accepted by Kremlin or not.
Will Kremlin to senses and decide there’s no way – let’s loose no time – let it be now with less civilian victims than later with Ukraine prepared to guerrilla fighting.
Some decisions on Ukraine had to be taken in China the hell! Otherwise bye, bye Silk Road II and Eurasian Economic Union. The Ukrainian abscess will destroy any efforts.
First the good news:
1) China-Russia ‘holy grail’ (as Bulgarian-run Zerohedge calls it) gas deal is real, despite all the carping and insistence in Bloomberg and elsewhere that the two sides have been haggling over price for a decade and would never agree on a reasonable range. Still billions needed for pipeline infrastructure and unclear how much Gazprom will have to shoulder versus the Chinese, but a win-win for both sides buying China time to develop its own shale gas potential to complete the switch from coal to cleaner fuels (one implication not discussed yet is that much of the smog over U.S. West Coast floats across the Pacific from China, Russian gas equals better air for all even before discussing ‘climate change’).
2) As this post indicates, State Dept. and Kiev junta look completely ridiculous flailing around, first lying insisting Mr. Phillips and Russian journalists were lugging MANPADs now backing off such fantastic claims. As mentioned in previous comment on the wire service reporter covering State Dept. normally deferential MSM is becoming slightly more skeptical toward Kiev junta and USgov claims.
3) The same people who were warning us Russian invasion imminent now admit Putin was either talked out of it by more cautious advisors or never planned to invade in the first place. Confirmation of what Saker said.
Now the bad news…
https://twitter.com/Catherina_News/status/469234058552430592
1) More evidence Kiev forces after elections will receive great reinforcement in equipment including drones that would help them overcome their present pathetic lack of military skill and finally kill Strelkov and his men, perhaps in a Yemen-Pakistan style ‘signature strike’ aided by NSA SIGINT.
2) No indication from the junta that it is prepared to grant full autonomy despite Rada voting for symbolic resolution demanding end of the ‘counter-terror operation’. Turchynov still insisting ATO is in its final phase as he has for past three weeks delusion ally. No signs of more Russian or Donbass volunteers rallying to Strelkov’s forces, despite them receiving some fairly powerful anti-tank weapons, BMP guns and mortars which are their only ‘stand off’ weapons and junta forces inept artillery fire (which the drones are undoubtedly meant to correct).
3) Majority in Donbass loathes Kiev junta but remains apathetic as Strelkov speech admitted, handing Kiev a propaganda coup but one that still is going to be tested by revolt against Akhmetov by his own work force.
Since you mention the destruction of the TV station in Belgrade during the NATO Yugo 1999 bombing campaign, let me also mention the obliteration of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade by a missile whose coordinates where somehow erroneously entered.
The air war on Yugoslavia was a real eye-opener for me, proof that no lie was too big for Uncle Sam.
Nora:
Can anyone even imagine a peaceful scenario for our getting rid of our oligarchs and back on the rails?
America (the country, not the oligarchy) is a special place and blessed by God. Of course there is a peaceful scenario.
“Then the Lord appeared to him by night, and said: “I have heard your prayer, and I have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice. If I close up heaven, so that no rain will fall, or if I order and instruct the locust to devour the land, or if I send a pestilence among my people, and if my people, over whom my name has been invoked, being converted, will have petitioned me and sought my face, and will have done penance for their wicked ways, then I will heed them from heaven, and I will forgive their sins, and I will heal their land. Also, my eyes will be open, and my ears will be attentive, to the prayer of him who shall pray in this place. For I have chosen and sanctified this place, so that my name may be there continually, and so that my eyes and my heart may remain there, for all days.
“And as for you, if you will walk before me, just as your father David walked, and if you will act in accord with all that I have instructed you, and if you will observe my justices and judgments, I will raise up the throne of your kingdom, just as I promised to your father David, saying: ‘There shall not be taken away a man from your stock who will be ruler in Israel.’
“But if you will have turned away, and will have forsaken my justices and my precepts, which I have set before you, and going astray, you serve strange gods, and you adore them, I will uproot you from my land, which I gave to you, and from this house, which I sanctified to my name, and I will cast it away from before my face, and I will deliver it to be a parable and an example for all the peoples. And this house will be like a proverb to all who pass by. And being astonished, they shall say: ‘Why has the Lord acted this way toward this land and toward this house?’ And they shall respond: ‘Because they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who led them away from the land of Egypt, and they took hold of foreign gods, and they adored and worshipped them. Therefore, all these evils have overwhelmed them.’ ” (2 Chronicles 7.12-22)
God always sees what man is blind too, and Israel is nothing more than an example of what God will do for every nation he has made. Until we repent, America will continue to be overrun by foreigners and degenerates and suffer punishments for its waywardness and sins.
Dear the Saker and friends,

Flooding in the Balkans devastates region
Cost of damage will be measured in billions
http://www.cbc.ca/asithappens/features/2014/05/19/post-22/
At least 43 people have been killed and tens of thousands of others forced to flee their homes in the Balkans during the worst flooding in over a century for the region.
The flooding in Bosnia, Serbia, and to a somewhat lesser extent, Croatia, started on Thursday after a slow-moving system dumped three months worth of rain onto the region in just three days.
“A strong disturbance in the jet stream closed off into a swirling, stuck upper-level low near the Balkans, instead of sweeping through,” said weather.com senior meteorologist Jon Erdman. “The result is persistent, flooding rainfall.”
More than 100,000 homes, 230 schools, businesses, roads and railways were washed out by the flooding. Tens of thousands were evacuated across the three countries, 20,000-plus in Serbia alone, including entire towns in some instances. Around a million people are without drinking.
http://www.weather.com/news/photos-balkan-flooding-bosnia-serbia-croatia-underwater-20140519
SEVERE floods have struck the people in Serbia these days, leaving thousands of children homeless, without food, water, warm and dry clothes. Roads and bridges are flooded, schools and kindergartens have been shut down, 100,000 homes in Serbia left without power, while rain-swollen rivers and surging water course through towns and villages, overflowing across streets into homes, causing landslides and other disasters.
The situation is so dramatic, that the entire families have lost their homes in the floods. Finding a shelter is a real adventure for many. In the city of Svilajnac more than 1.000 flood victims had to seek refuge on the roof tops, waiting for the rescuers to come and save them. In Veliko Polje near Obrenovac the dam broke, and the river flooded the whole area… Hundreds of cars and buses are stranded along the flooded roads. The situation is the most dramatic in western Serbia, where more than 500 people were evacuated during the night.
These are the heaviest rains and floods ever recorded in 120 years. Entire towns are cut off and the slow-moving cyclone is said to last until the weekend. Serbia has already declared a nationwide flood emergency on Thursday. Several people have already drowned and the numbers are only growing.
Meteorologists say that more than double of Serbia’s average rainfall for the whole of May is expected to fall within just two and half days. Major traffic routes, such as the E-75 Belgrade-Skopje highway, are submerged. Serbia’s rail link to Montenegro is also severed.
Therefore, we have to turn to all of you for help! There is no time left. We have to act promptly. Let’s unite and confront this together!

Andrew,
I don’t see us repenting anytime soon. Do you?
For all the “Christian this” and “Christian that”, there aren’t even that many people here with any idea of what God really wants from us. A whole bunch, for gosh sakes, really believe that if they accept Jesus as their Savior they’ll make more money. Some of them, plus a whole bunch of others, are actively “helping” God by making Armageddon come quicker so they can get Raptured out of their skivvies and up to Heaven, leaving the rest of us here to duke things out. I don’t think these people even know what repentance is, and I’ll guarantee they don’t consider themselves sinners.
If the Republicans were smart, they’d pin this mess on Obama and make a fresh (non-aggressive) start. But they’re just as beholden to Wall Street, Israel, oil-o-garchs and the MIC as the Dems — even Rand Paul. So, no political answer either. Nor can I see us responding well to a catastrophe, either socially, politically or spiritually. Help!!!

Hi Saker. Was away for 24hrs — and finally read WAPO — aka my penance — this evening. Ignatius OP-ED required very tall rubber boots. The take-way was DOS is doing victory laps for having STOPPED Putin from further ravaging Ukraine. I. Kid. You. Not. In David’s alternative universe DOS-CIA hasn’t been throwing everything including the kitchen sink and hashtag-bottle-redheads at Putin to bully Russia into Ukraine. No sir-ee. The Obama administration has provided the steady foreign policy vision to save Europe and Ukraine and Russia from itself. Well done DOS. Atta-girl.
But the absolute BEST is that WAPO reporters are referring to Akhmetov and Kolomoyski as “Ukrianian TYCOONS”. They refuse to use the term “Oligarch” when referring to those swell guys who own all of Ukraine’s industrial wealth — without having built it or anything.
WAPO = lying sack of fecal matter.
Thanks for your SITREP yesterday. It was awesome. AGS
It is a strange and frightening fact that the West and especially the US has boldly adopted the identity of Axis Power. Russia the original counterforce to Fascism has retreated from this threat and returned to more mundane, mercantile pursuits. E. Ukraine alone is still resisting the Hegemon and tomorrow may be the day we learn their fate.
Hi Nora,
there aren’t even that many people here with any idea of what God really wants from us
A good start for any Christian, e.g., is to read, for a while just the Gospels- and especially the verses in red-letter if available. In the end it is that one personal relationship which defines how we relate to everyone else. I’m not so sure Armageddon was a concern to Evangelists. More about humans living together. Um, also such ideas exist in East, Amerind peoples, individual souls &c.
But there’s religion all over the place at least since the Mayflower genus arrived. Young dissolute G.W. suddenly experienced the holy ghost, presumably after admonishment, perhaps from Barbara, “As much as you are a f*ckup, George Jr., you’re the best we have of three. You have to see Uncle Billy and get some religion if you want to carry on Dada’s dream.”
Dada GHW was lucky that Billy Graham came to the White House to help GHW pray before onslaught of Gulf War when nearly every other church leader said it was wrong to do war of choice and massacre of retreating troops. Another criteria of behavior is that we will know them by their fruits.
There’s a site at http://hollowverse.com/ which explores the religious lives of famous people. It is quite interesting to read the comments for Vladimir Vladimirovich. http://hollowverse.com/vladimir-putin/
These comments with a very few opposed seem to appreciate Putin and regret that Western leaders don’t seem sincere in their spirituality anymore. Presumably these readers are more interested in matters of the soul than in big worldly Game.

What a great dayy for American feminism: a spokes”woperson”(?) telling her sugardaddy whatever he wants to hear. And clearly, she buys her pearls at the same place Kerry buys his wigs – “twice the size for half the price, guaranteed”.
But how do you pronounce that name? Surely “Piss-achey” lacks gravitas? I fear young Emma Royds, who is being groomed as her successor, will first have to change her name to “Hemma”. The best way to get a job at State, it seems, is to call yourself “Colin Ostomy”, or such; it’s an automatic hire, no references or interview required.
Nora:

Nope. That is why we go from bad to worse to awful with each president, and why our nation is swirling down the gutter, being overrun by foreigners and ruled by hirelings and misfits.
It clearly has to get a lot worse before it will get better.
