What politician would you trust to run your country?
Yet another informational tragedy in Ukraine. It started like nothing unusual: the patriotic site “Week.ua” (“Неделя.ua“) organized a vote. Respondents were asked to answer one question: which politician would you trust to run your country?
[Original survey here: http://nedelya-ua.com/content/kakomu-politiku-vy-doverili-upravlenie-svoey-stranoy]
41,664 respondents voted. The result virtually killed the organizers: landslide victory of Russian President Vladimir Putin!
This is treason! Let’s look at the results:
- Vladimir Putin – 84% (34,905 votes)
- Alexander Lukashenko – 5% (2,032 votes)
- Xi Jinping – 2% (820 votes)
- Vladimir Zhirinovsky – 2% (708 votes)
- Petro Poroshenko – 1% (538 votes)
- Angela Merkel – 1% (430 votes)
- Nursultan Nazarbaev – 1% (318 votes)
- Barak Obama – 1% (244 votes)
- Yulia Timoshenko – 0% (176 votes)
- Oleg Lyashko – 0% (170 votes)
- Arseniy Yatsenyuk – 0% (158 votes)
- Igor Kolomoisky – 0% (150 votes)
- Petro Simonenko – 0% (130 votes)
- Leonid Kuchma – 0% (117 votes)
- Viktor Yanukovich – 0% (116 votes)
- Oleg Tyagnibok – 0% (86 votes)
- Sergey Tigipko – 0% (76 votes)
- Leonid Kravchuk – 0% (32 votes)
- Viktor Yuschenko – 0% (32 votes)
According to the results, even Vladimir Zhirinovsky came out way ahead of acting (so far) president, well-advanced drunkard Poroshenko. The rumor has it that, if Vladimir Volfovich (Zhirinovsky – translator’s comment) takes a serious interest in the affairs of Ukraine (for example, becomes a head of something devoted to Ukraine), then “ragules” (a derogatory term used for Western Ukrainians – translator’ comment) will keep control only of Lvov, but even that only as a lease. . . Generally speaking, these numbers do not bode well for Ukrainian “patriots” . . .
One can, of course, organize an emergency meeting of the Information Ministry and tell the staff that their work is inadequate. Or claim that Kremlin bots and trolls started voting for Putin to damage the consciousness of patriotically inclined citizens, thereby forming the wrong impression in order to establish “the bloody dictatorship of the Moscow tyrant”. One can do that, but few people would believe it: this site is known only in narrow circles, and therefore is not really available to “trolls and bots”: “trash” resources like that are visited only by “patriotic fighters” of both sexes.
Now about President Putin. The outcome is hardly surprising: he is recognized as #1 politician in the world by global media. Such are the results of the “Global rating -2013”, composed by 175 information agencies and media outlets around the world. Naturally, “Weak.ua” was not one of them. However, it confirmed as best as it possibly could: even in Ukraine, where the population is being bombarded by scary stories about Russian president 24/7, this rating stands. So, the nationalistic Ukrainian idea of “the end of Putin” hammered by Ukrainian propaganda is being roundly defeated.
Online poll.
Quite right, anon, but this doesn’t render it meaningless. We just need to keep in mind that the sample is not random, look for corroboration, note numbers polled, editorial policy of Week, a check-back url, all of which the Saker has addressed at least sketchily.
This recent poll of the Kiev International Institute of Sociology among Ukrainian presidential candidates shows a lot of blanks for the Week poll to fill with Russians et al.
In a statistical tie for first, 25.0% and 24.8%, are “undecided” and “boycotting election.”
With 13.6%, Poroshenko is third, first among likely candidates.
Next with 7.8% comes “spoil my ballot.”
Yulia is 4th with 4.2%. (from memory, may be off a point or so)
I think this is very funny, even if you take Putin out of the list the rest of it doesnt make good reading for the current govt cronies, surprised that victoria nuland didnt get a few votes, those cookies sure left a bad taste
Perhaps they left a bad taste because they were laced with something to accelerate and enhance violence? That was the USA objective. Nuland may have seen Clockwork Orange for example:
“The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence”
Good news, this will give courage to the people knowing they’re in the vast majority except for maybe Galicia, but that’s a guess.
I’d like to see that poll replicated in every european country, might be surprising.
I would dare to say that 84% of population of any country would be happy to have such an outstanding leader as Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
I agree. I do not see anybody in Europe who reaches him at the height of the shoe, the least, Mariano Rajoy.
Spasibo, Seva, for the translation:D ( Eskerrik asko ).
I agree.. there was a pool (vote) also in Czech republic online newspaper “Parlamntní listy”, with roughly same result for Putin! I can later produce link and screenshots. In my country (Slovakia) there was a vote in newspaper intended against actress who spoke for Russia and Putin – also more than 80% of voters spoke for this actress!
Here you have vote from Lithuanian TV:
http://fortruss.blogspot.sk/2015/02/82-of-lithuanian-viewers-support-russia.html
These kind of results i think will be more or less same even in mainestreame medias in most of the countries – only if they ask!
Who was #1 leader, if not Putin? (In world survey) I would like that same survey taken in America. I bet Putin would come in #1 by a mile.
Cheers. You made my day. I’m all smiles at the irony of it. Oh that this would get coverage in the wicked west. If only the new iron curtain around US would pulverize.
Much as I would like to believe this, there are a few things that, to me, make it highly unlikely.
First, exactly who is “Week.ua,” described above merely as “a patriotic site?”
Then, if a poll taken by a “patriotic site” turned out to be that much in opposition to the operators of the site, why would they release such results?
One can assert that “this site is known only in narrow circles, and therefore is not really available to ‘trolls and bots’,” but there is no way that anyone can know for sure how many and what manner of persons know about it, and really it would only take one person with a really good exploit program to fix the results any way he wanted to.
What evidence is there that this is a valid poll, and/or that the alleged results are valid?
I’m hoping that there are really good answers to these questions, because I’d really like to be convinced.
A question is though,”if the poll was showing results like that. Why were there not more Ukrainians voting against Putin”? I suspect it was like a British newspaper poll months ago, where the results showed daily on the site.It ended up much the same way (to the horror of the newspaper),Putin won hands-down.
As to why they would release it — I’ve never heard of Week, you’ve never heard of it, 100s on the chain we’re part of it have never heard of it, until now.
Can’t buy advertising like that! Of course, the argument applies equally to why they might just make it up entirely.
a sensible answer to the 4th paragraph of your questions is so obvious it hits the eye.”there is no way one can know how many and in what manner of persons know about… this site – is this is a conclusion without any premises or opposite to them if any.
Many things and info outlets there are patriotic – though somewt discouraged…
either the site is a patriotic one or not.
Either the site is known in narrow circles or not.
sheer logics. Assuming the first thesis in the circumstances as taken for granted it does not matter a tiny bit the size of the circles for such stunning results. And the on line votes are taken automatically and seen at once.
And does nt the ridiculous voting numbers of the local politicians count and make sense anyway?
and also in perfect parallel reasoning the figures for Obama and Xi jinping just add logics to the outcome in present ukranian political environment. Will U tell me they don´t?
one should wonder why as well it stops at only 39 k. clics.
So the point seems to repeat the enquette, jack.
Or show once and for all that ´s one further of Putin´s devilish maneuvers.
Remember this one?

Happy Birthday, Vladimir Vladimirovitch!
October 7th ?
I bet that if similar polls were to be held in all the countries of the European Union, the results would be the same! What intelligent European wouldn’t want to kick out his weak, treasonous, NATO-subservient “leader” in favor of Vladimir Putin?
Providing a link below; a little off topic, but Putin seems ( uncharacteristically ) publicly harsh towards the Turk PM:

Sourced as Moscow Times.
but through “Source: awdnews.com”
I don’t find it in Moscow Times — would like to read that story in the original, but no link to it.
Rather strange stories from odd sources — might be some dysinformation thrust from somewhere.
I was curious if they have this story right myself when I came across it earlier today.
http://www.who.is/whois/awdnews.com says it’s a German company
The story doesn’t pass the sniff test for me.
I passed the comment originally with the awdnews.com story. I don’t think the story is legitimate. Very unlike Putin to talk like that publicly, but thought it worthwhile to post so it could be investigated by the people here and confirmed or debunked. Mod ME
I just ran a search of Moscow Times entire archive and did not get anything either. When I read the AWD post it seemed like it have been lifted from Sorcha Faal, so I had to check.
I also don’t think Mr. Putin would waste his breath reaming out an Ambassador.
‘Moscow Times’ appears often in The Guardian hate sewer, always portraying Putin negatively. Not a reliable source I would assert.
Somewhat different version at http://www.veteranstoday.com/2015/08/04/putin-issues-ultimatum-threatens-war-over-erdogans-support-of-isis/
Putin Issues Ultimatum, Threatens War Over Erdogan’s Support of ISIS
By Gordon Duff, Senior Editor on August 4, 2015
Putin issues an ultimatum to Turkey, “End all military support for ISIS”
…by Gordon Duff, Senior Editor
Russian President Vladimir Putin in a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador issued a verbal ultimatum calling for an immediate end to Turkey’s support for ISIS and violations of Syria’s sovereignty. In doing to, Putin has drawn a red line over Syria, after weeks of escalating NATO moves against that beleaguered nation.
In a startling move, Russian President Vladimir Putin castigated Turkish President Recep Erdogan, calling him a “dictator” and threatening to sever diplomatic ties with Turkey over what Putin claims is Erdogan’s continued support of the ISIS terror organization.
[…]
I still don’t find anything, searching for Umit Yardim, at Moscow Times. It still doensn’t smell right to me. I don’t believe Putin would threaten cutting off diplomatic relations, for one thing — very unPutin-like!
There’s a lot of dicey stuff at Veterans Today, and still no links or decent citations to sources.
So is going to be picked up and ground through rumor mills and propaganda outlets now, as usual for dysinformation?
Moscow Times (virtually run from Langely, CIA)
They are a joke.
yes, none of the links are ‘ok’ down this part of the thread…as far as I can see.
The ‘Putin abandons Assad’ meme has been around for quite a while. The splitting of Syria is the aim of both US, Erdogan and Netanyahoo: Assad has a wildly popular mandate from the Syrian people. He is an obstacle to Israeli ambition to energy-control in the entire region (including Iran) as well as Erdogan’s ‘caliphate’ fantasy.
Another meme is Assad’s support for ISIL. This one is so patently absurd it must come from US-rael hasbara in the MSM and intended for consumption by aliens who’ve just bussed in from another planet. Either that, or the Faux News brigade of Christian Zionists. Strictly for the fabulously ignorant.
Lavrov only yesterday said the US no-fly zone (alleged) ATO operation in Northern Syria is ‘counter
productive.’ He has been quietly working on culture exchange programs with the Assad government too – hardly an indicator of abandonment.
Re Putin’s alleged chewing out of Erdogan’s ISIL games – possible, but not really his style. A blunt ultimatum will only be delivered if all the necessary pieces are in place. Turkstream is still going ahead.
He is more likely to try and get both the Saudis and Turks (those who support Erdogan’s policies, for there are many who don’t) to see the folly of their so-called strategic ambitions. That fits a lot better with the flurry of Russian-Saudi exchanges recently. Perhaps the Saudis are finally realising the extremism they have been sponsoring is as likely to incinerate them as their opponents.
I suspect much of this (rather feeble) disinfo is to distract attention from news like this:
http://prod.wsws.org/en/articles/2015/08/03/nusr-a03.html
The empire wants to isolate Russia from Syria and Turkey — and everyone else. Both the stories, Putin’s meeting with Turkish ambassador and Erdogan saying Putin is abandoning Syria, both follow that theme.
There be more of this type of disinformation, especially because of Putin’s ongoing initiative to encourage a Middle East joint effort against Daesh:
“Russian Brokered High Level Syria-Saudi Arabia Discussions” – http://thetruenews.info/2015/08/02/russian-brokered-high-level-syria-saudi-arabia-discussions-al-assads-security-adviser-meets-saudi-deputy-crown-prince/
The empire of chaos is nervous about this….
Have just read Turkstream is postponed. (Sorry, no link – I read it in a comment.) It seems the internal situation in Turkey is not sufficiently stable – a lot of increasingly vocal opposition to Erdo, not only from the Kurds, and the Ministry for Energy is currently without a minister.
Plus, the MSM ‘news’ of the downing of a Syrian Airforce jet (which killed 28 civilians in a market place) by US-Turkey artillery has been refuted by several news agencies in the region. It is now reported to have been a missile launched by the US-Turkey coalition into the town. (An attempted false-flag to ‘justify’ an all-out attack on Syria?)
This would certainly cross the red line for both Russia and Iran: the whole aim of the Russian-led coalition is to prevent exactly this kind of carnage.
So when did the ‘two hour meeting’ with the Turkish ambassador take place? If after this event, then chances are some very definite ‘messages’ *were* sent to Erdo..
Read (on RT) what Turkey’s Energy Minister Yildiz says: Turkey is Russia’s second largest gas importer and a major trade partner. Moscow and Ankara had differences over the Syrian conflict, and the use of the word “genocide” to describe the [Armenian massacre] but joint projects, like the natural gas pipeline are “isolated from politics.”
Come on! You know The Moscow Time! And you know Putin would never say such things, use such language towards another leader. Even Obama is “our American partners” – sometimes “competitors”.
These people just want to inflame very flammable Erdogan…
The best I’ve been able to gather about this is on Veterans Today and then to the Webster Tapley site or the radio site INN, which has a great interview with Tapley about it.
It does rely on sources, interviews “on the ground” and leaks, no “open source” that you can check for yourself, but it’s highly informative, and does support the claim – albeit from a leak.
As anyone who follows PUTIN on youtube knows, he can get very very angry in a very controlled way when he knows he’s in the right and dealing with thieving moron, and he is always very direct in his speech. (He is reputed to have said of Saakashvillie he would hang him by his balls if he got his hands on him).
Greece will give a similar result.
I would like any Greek to inform me otherwise.
Thanks in advance.
Myself I would like proper Democracy and ME taking decisions in a well run DEMOCRACY, also I would like to RECALL from Power, Cheats and Liars, like all of them so far in Greece.
I am glad to hear that about Greece.
In Serbia Putin stands very strong, also. Above 75%.
If the same is tha case with Bulgaria and Macedonia, then there is a real hope for all east and south-east Europe!
Poll junkies might have a good time combing through these July 15th polls of Ukrainian political opinion, by region. It covers Kiev-occupied Donetsk and Lugansk broken out.
I offer no opinion on the likelihood or degree of bias in KIIS’s polls, but at least, unlike media polls, they are done by professionals.

You might notice from the citations that a great amount of the warfare is tank centered. The turn in many of the key battles has been superior tanksmanship.
If my memory is correct, 8. Zakharchuk Vitaly Anatolievich was a master tanksman and very instrumental in teaching and training the militia. Sadly, he perished in Debaltcevo. There was a video of him just before he died. Handsome man. Passed on his great knowledge to many others.
contrast that with Poro awarding a medal to the drunk driver that killed a child some months ago, so he avoided conviction because he was more valuable to the ATO….
“Guilty in the death of a soldier girl in Konstantinovka APU has not yet been sentenced and more Poroshenko awarded him the Order of Military Merit. The Speaker of the General Staff of Ukraine Vladyslav Seleznev confirmed that senior lieutenant Marjan Cancer, which is the main accused in the case of a traffic accident (RTA) with the participation of military equipment Konstantinovka not convicted and awarded by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Seleznev said that Today Cancer is not convicted and therefore can not be guilty of the tragedy. “Marjan heroically defended the Donetsk and Lugansk airport and today continues to serve on the front lines,” – said Seleznyov.
He added that last year the cancer was wounded at the airport in Lugansk. After treatment, he returned to the ranks of the APU. “Will the court – is responsible,” – said Seleznyov.
The Speaker of the General Staff stressed that the Ukrainian president said the real military achievements of lieutenant.
Recall March 16 in Konstantinovka BMD Ukrainian military ran over a woman with two children, killing 8-year-old girl. So, instead of a fair trial, the Ukrainian government in the face of Poroshenko even rewards the child murderer.”

I visited the nedelya.ua website earlier and found no choice for the Ukrainian language in it, only the Russian. If this is really some “patriotic” Ukrainian site, then the absence of a Ukrainian language or even an English language choice raises serious suspicions.—All of this may very well be fake.
The nedelya.ua website is registered in Romania. They also don’t have a Romanian language option.
A month or so ago I posted a comment on the need for a “Government in exile” for Ukraine (others have as well). That has always been the time honored way of rebellions. And it should have been done much earlier. It seems some are finally getting around to it.They have started out slowly, calling themselves a “Committee for the Salvation of Ukraine” .But that is how some in the past have started as well.I still believe the only solution will be a military or counter-coup solution. But the new people will need a program and leadership to help secure order and stability for a new government.Which is what these people may be able to bring. So hopefully it will succeed, though its way too early to rejoice yet:
“Ex-Ukraine PM launches ‘salvation committee’ to win power in Kiev, end civil war”
Ukraine’s former PM Nikolay Azarov has presented a newly-formed “Committee for the Salvation of Ukraine” designed to win power through snap elections and restore peace within the country through direct talks with eastern rebels.
“We ask all citizens, political parties, labor unions and social movements to unite and restore order in our home by joint efforts,” Azarov told a press conference in Moscow.
Azarov, 67, served as prime minister under Viktor Yanukovich from 2010 to 2014. Azarov said that he cannot name all members of the newly-established committee because many of them “live and work in Ukraine, and this is very dangerous.”
He added: “[The] time will come when we introduce them, first of all to the Ukrainian people. I can assure you that they are patriots who have no ties neither with current authorities, nor with former authorities.”
Azarov said that the creation of the Committee for the Salvation of Ukraine was triggered by the situation in the country.
“When I resigned from the post of prime minister of Ukraine, I had hoped that there would be a government of national unity, which would include representatives of various political forces and would focus on the key issue – the restoration of stability and peace in our country. This was discussed during my meetings with foreign diplomats who flooded [into] Ukraine in late 2013-early 2014,” Azarov said.
“I emphasize that I resigned on the condition that the situation in the country would stabilize, and the disarmament of all illegal militias and armed groups, which prevented restoration of peace and stability in the country, would take place. Time has shown that this decision of mine and the decisions of the country’s leadership at the time had serious flaws and serious mistakes. Of course, the responsibility for this rests with me as a former chairman of the government, along with the former political leadership of the country,” he stated.
He said that he and his colleagues in Ukraine couldn’t imagine that “forces that seized power through a coup d’etat, would unleash a bloody war, pursue a policy of destruction of their own people, the destruction of the economy, and would bring the country to a state of chaos” in such a short space of time.
“We could not imagine all that, which is why it has been decided to include people who have practical knowledge and experience in the Committee; they are capable of leading … the country out of the crisis, stopping the fratricidal war and ensuring the development of the country”, Azarov noted.
“We know who carried out the coup d’etat in Ukraine, who refused to hold dialogue with their own people. The [Ukraine] Salvation Committee thinks that it is impossible to restore accord without changing the political leadership. The Salvation Committee has unfortunately been set up outside of Ukraine, but I am sure that we will come back. We address the Ukrainian people – we are ready to assume responsibility for restoring Ukraine’s development.”
‘People do not trust current government in Kiev, snap elections needed’
The Committee for the Salvation of Ukraine has called for the resignation of Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. It has also urged the citizens of Ukraine to demand snap presidential elections, snap elections to the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada and to the local governing bodies.
“This criminal regime is bankrupt and is obliged to leave, they forcibly seized power, illegally dispersed the 7th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada . The country is in dire need of reforms. With your support the Committee is prepared to take responsibility for the future of the state,” the group said in a written statement handed out at the press-conference on Monday.
Azarov claimed that the majority of Ukraine’s population does not trust the current government and will support the newly-created Committee for the Salvation of Ukraine.
“If you summon the ratings of the current politicians including the ruling coalition – Poroshenko, Yatsenyuk, Tymoshenko, Lyashko and so on – they have a little more than 20 percent all together. Which means that 80 percent of Ukrainians do not trust the current regime,” he said.
The Committee has nominated Verkhovna Rada’s former deputy Vladimir Oleinik for the position of president.
“The crisis in Ukraine is political, economic and social,” Oleinik stated. He added that he considers restoring peace in Donbass to be his primary goal.
As for ousted president Viktor Yanukovich and people close to him, they were not invited to the committee as its members believe that the group should not include them in their ranks.
‘Kiev government dependent on the West’
According to Azarov, Kiev is acting on orders from the West these days, getting the country into increasing debt. “This regime is slavish. Now they just execute commands and get handouts in the form of loans. The IMF has totally discredited itself by showing that it was ready to provide loans to a country involved in the fighting, thus violating the statute.”
He also slammed appointments of foreigners to senior positions in Ukraine, saying it’s a “slap in the face to all Ukrainian people.”
“By doing this we admit that we have no sovereignty,” Azarov said, adding that foreigners act as temporary workers, are not interested in improving life in the country and do not know its realities.
Authorities in Ukraine, according to him, currently lean only on “volunteer battalions” which, Azarov says, are “ready to shoot at anyone.”
“The existence of such groups, which include people who have committed more than one crime and deserve severe punishment, is unacceptable in a European country,” the ex-prime minister said, adding that Europe is beginning to understand it made the wrong choice.
“They wanted to get a European government but received a pro-fascist, and an absolutely incompetent economy … to boot,” Azarov said. According to him, sooner or later, Ukrainian people, as well as people in Europe and the US will end up asking themselves: “What to do with this regime?”
‘Civil war should be stopped, direct talks with Donbass needed’
Oleinik said that if he were elected president, he would have immediately signed a decree on returning Kiev’s military forces to their places of their permanent deployment and asked for forgiveness from all Ukrainian mothers “on his knees.”
“Unfortunately, we have lost Crimea because of this criminal government, which after staging a coup d’etat sparked ethnic strife and pushed away Crimea and the south-east of Ukraine”, Oleinik told the press conference. “When Crimea saw that war is just round the corner, it walked away from Ukraine.”
He said he would also hold direct talks between Kiev and Donbass and agree to “any compromises.”
In 2006, Oleinik was elected to parliament from Yulya Tymoshenko’s bloc. Since March 2010, he had been member of the Party of Regions and served as deputy chairman of Rada’s committee on industrial and regulatory policy and entrepreneurship. In December 2014, Ukraine’s General Prosecutor’s Office charged that he had been organizing illegal voting in parliament over “January 16 laws” – a package of measures toughening penalties for various offenses. Oleinik was put on Ukraine’s wanted list.
The paper also calls for the disarmament of illegal armed groups, with an adoption of the most severe measures against them, if necessary.
“We will find and punish those who shot Maidan, burned [Trade Unions House in] Odessa and unleashed a fratricidal war in Donbass. We invite judges, prosecutors, employees of the SBU faithful to the oath and people [of Ukraine], the police and the army not to prosecute people for their beliefs. Citizens of Ukraine, capture all facts of violations of your constitutional rights and freedoms!” the co-founders of the Committee have urged.
They also spoke of the need to abolish all laws, regulations and court decisions related to the mobilization and conflict.
‘New referendum-approved constitution needed’
Ukraine needs a new constitution approved in a nationwide referendum, Oleinik said.
“The current constitution has been trampled and destroyed. We need a new social accord,” he said, adding that “there is a disease in Ukraine that every new president changes the constitution.” If the constitution is voted on at a referendum, then the changes agreed on by the people would be made, he explained.
The co-founders of the committee say they are in favor of the neutral status of Ukraine and adoption of two official languages in the country.
“We are facing a choice: either one language, or two countries, or two languages and one country. We need to choose the latter for the sake of the state. A guarantee of peace for Ukraine is a neutral status.”
Oleinik said that if Ukraine hosted NATO bases, that would make a conflict zone and would be against Ukraine’s national interests.
Meanwhile Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that Moscow has nothing to do with the initiative.
“Any [committee’s] coordination on this issue with any authorities in Russia is out of question,” he said. “As for whether Moscow supports this initiative or not, we should first have a look at these statements and analyze them.”

Rostislav Ishchenko explains all about this: “The club of suicides” – http://cont.ws/post/107121
This will likely stretch on for years. I’m thinking 2019 – post Russian World Cup and post Russian, US, French, German & Canadian Elections.
here is a new headline from RT…can anyone tell me if this guy is a good guy or a bad guy ? My guess is he must be an oligarch, but perhaps not a Nazi ?
http://www.rt.com/news/311485-salvation-committee-azarov-ukraine/
Aside from my not trusting him because he looks Bernie Sanders, when he said he couldn’t imagine the forces that took power through the coup (at least he calls it a coup, although does not say CIA instigated) would start a bloody war it shows either he isn’t the brightest bulb in the chandelier or is obscuring what he knows.
He’s not a nazi. That’s all you can hope for in Ukraine.
He won’t wage a war against the Donbass.
He won’t get into power without Russian “assistance”.
He will be vilified by the West if he has any chance of getting into power.
I’m watching the long news conference now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeqIsQkqP1o
And see that fist symbol of the color revolutions as a backdrop. This is from
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otpor! — which morphed into CANVAS — fifth column stuff. Is the empire trying to backstep and redo the revolution? I’m not sure what’s going on but am very suspicious of these Ukraine Salvation guys.
They aren’t maybe the greatest people. But they are “light years” above the junta bunch. The Committee is headquartered in Russia for now (they should eventually move to Donbass). So they are at least beholden to Russia for asylum. And in the article they say “we lost Crimea…”.So that means they accept that Crimea belongs with Russia. They also say they need to agree to the Donbass’s points to end the war.So another good sign. All in all they are a positive sign.If they can gain support they may cause panic in the junta. And give the anti-junta forces in the Ukrainian military pause to think of switching sides.
Please don’t tell the Ziocrazies at The Guardian. Little Timmy Garton-Ash might chew his own head of in a fit of pique. I’d pay good money to see that on Youtube. It would go bacterial!
This is from a comment at Zaid’s SyrianPerspective (which also reports determined attacks by SAAF on takfiri targets, nevermind US/Turkey (i.e. NATO) unilateral declarations of a no-fly zone in Syrian airspace, or threats to attack the Syrians if they dare do anything other than sit idly by:

INTERVIEW WITH WEBSTER TARPLEY 19.11 min.
[The info here is of high quality. Please excuse
the occasional ellipsis. Thierry’s heavy accent,

Thierry and Webster broke the Syria tragedy
early, going to Homs and exposing the
destabilisation by Amb. Robert S. Ford and
Hillary’s death squads fresh from Libya…]

WGT I suggest, that if you’re interested in the
military details especially, there’s a group called
Syrian Perspective dot org, take a look at that …
And now we have a very special guest, his name
is Thierry Meyssan … he is the leading
personality of the Voltaire Network, the ‘Reseau
Voltaire’, the organiser of the Axis of Peace
Conference in Brussels ten years ago. He has
been for ten years in the Middle East in
Lebanon but more recently in Syria. He’s going
to speak to us from Damascus, where he is
currently not just a journalist but also an advisor
to the Syrian government
So, we want to welcome Thierry and get his view
on what we’ve talked about… That is the
question of ISIS czar John Allen, Erdogan of
Turkey, and this ‘no-fly zone’ terrorist haven in
northern Syria and how this was done, because
he has some very interesting source reports
about that. Thierry, welcome, we’re delighted to
have you.
TM Hello Webster. Here in the Middle East since
two years and a half, we have these separate
negotiations with the US and Iran. And on the
14th July, they signed an agreement about
nuclear issues, with the P 5+1 and Iran. There is
also a separate agreement between only the US
and Iran about how they will together manage
the Middle East. And according to the secret
agreement, they will decrease the tension in
Syria, and also in Iraq, and of course, inside the
Obama administration, some people are
opposed to the agreement with Iran and are
trying to sabotage the agreement and
especially– as you know in the past it was the
same situation in 2012 during the first Geneva
conference in June, we signed a kind of peace,
and immediately General Petraeus general Allen
and Hillary Clinton sabotaged everything, and re-
start the war? with the French, and Qatar. And
right now, General Allen tries to re-start the
war, with Turkey. The idea of General Allen was
to realise what we call the idea of Alain Juppe
and Robin Wright plan, which is to create a new
Sunnistan inside Iraq and the Syrian desert with
Daesh, the Islamic Emirate — and in the north of
Syria and in Iraq, [to establish] Kurdistan.
We have to understand that the Kurdish people
is divided into two groups, [which are] totally
different. The Turkish people in Turkey and in
Syria are from the Left side during the Cold War,
they were supporting the Soviets, and they were
supported by the Syrians. The Kurds from Iraq
are linked to Israel, the Barzani family are
members of the Mossad since the fifties, and
they only supported the US.
WGT Thierry, let me just ask you now, are you
talking about the Barzani government of that
quasi-Kurdish state — or the PKK?
TM The PKK is the Left side in Turkey and Syria
and the Barzani family is on the Right side in
Iraq only. The two groups don’t have the same
language at all, but two different groups. We say
the Kurdish people, but it’s two different
peoples.
The idea of General Allen was to create a
Kurdistan in Iraq, with a part of Syria, and not
in Turkey, but the main parts of the Kurds, they
are living in Turkey, …
The reason of this idea is to restart the Syrian
war [from within] Turkey, and you know that Mr
Erdogan began to bomb the PKK, he said he
would also bomb Daesh but in fact he did
nothing against … There are two things — for
instance, two days ago, he made 159 bombings
against PKK, and zero bombings against Daesh.
When they said ‘fighting against terrorism’ they
are absolutely not fighting against the Islamic
Emirate but only against the internal Kurdish
opposition. That’s all. And you have to know
that Erdogan is now the main commander of the
Islamic Emirate.
In the Western press you can read [that] some
people are suspecting Turkey of supporting the
IS, but that’s not right at all. Inside Turkey, ALL
the leaders of the opposition are saying that Mr
Erdogan is the head of Daesh. For instance, in
the last days we have the agencies that the
people of Daesh have formed? they are
transported by the Turk secret services inside
Turkey, and they receive treatment in separate
hospitals inside Turkey and there is television of
the daughter of Erdogan.
At the same time to make money for Daesh,
he’s using the traffick of drugs coming from
Afghanistan and they are sending drugs inside
Syria and Iraq and this product? is sent to
Europe by a new company of an Azeri
billionaire, but now a new company is doing
that, despite resolutions of the UN. This
company is headed by Bilal Erdogan the son of
president Erdogan. So, all this is very clear.
And we have seen a lot of evidence of how
Turkey is giving weapons to the Islamic Emirate.
So, this idea, to have a ??, to have a non-
governmental organisation like ‘Ratwan’? to do
ethnic cleansing in Iraq, this idea was first … in
the separate meeting between France and
Turkey in 2011. It was done by Alain Juppe of
France and Ahmet Davutoglu for Turkey That’s
why Turkey launched war against Libya and
against Syria. And now they want to realise this
both — the Sunnistan with Daesh, and this fake
Kurdistan with the Barzani family.
…[program break] …
WGT … So, Thierry is telling us that the head of
ISIS is not this Baghdaadi that you see, but it is
actually president Erdogan of Turkey and he is
collaborating with General Allen the ISIS czar
here in Washington to attempt to preserve ISIS
and build it up. and his two kids … his son and
daughter are also part of the support apparatus
and the money apparatus of ISIS. Thierry,
please continue.
TM As you said just now, al-Baghdaadi is not the
Caliph of the Emirate. He is only a front man for
this organisation and he is chosen because he is
from the family of the prophet Mohammed
PBUH. But he is not the real head of the ‘p[ISIS]
system. Behind him, you have two top? men
who are Turkish secret services, and who are the
real commanders in the fight. In fact the
headquarters of Daesh like all the other
=officials come from the former Soviet Union,
especially from Georgia and also from
Turkmenistan, other countries from that area.
Right now, when you hear the discussions
between the officers of Daesh on walkie-talkie,
they are speaking Russian, they don’t speak
Arabic but in Russian or in Turkish. So, this is
very clear.
All this was organised by Turkey from the
beginning for the CIA but now, it’s for Turkey
itself. You know this way to claim for terrorism
… the western countries of course the CIA used
terrorism since Vietnam to in different countries
in the world but at the beginning they are doing
terrorism by themselves — now since 1978 they
are using Arab people to [carry out] terrorism
for them. They used these people in
Afghanistan, they used them in Bosnia in
Europe, in Chechnya after that, in Iraq, in Libya,
in Syria.
But as the leaders of Daesh are coming from the
former Soviet Union and from Afghanistan, they
will next use Daesh against Russia.
WGT … Do you detect an effort to direct ISIS
towards the east? Is the future plan to have
Daesh attack Iran? Or to go into Chechnya, ,,,
What are the targets that they’re looking for in
the near future?
TM In fact right now we don’t know. The only
thing we know is that president Obama says he
will remove Daesh from the Middle East. But
probably he will send it to the Russian
Caucasus. But that’s not sure. It looks like that,
but it could go further .. in Nigeria, in Libya or in
the Balkans [Watch out Macedonia!] The most
likely is to send then into Russia. Right now we
don’t how many people are fighting with Daesh.
There are many different measurements of that.
It’s between 50,000 and 200,000 people, but it’s
difficult [to know]
The Daesh people in Iraq are mostly from
outside, from other countries. At the beginning
they were fighting in Syria with different names,
the Free Syrian Army, the al-Nusra Front, a lot of
different names but they are the same people,
who changed their names and are now with
Daesh. And, you have also with them some
former officers of Saddam Hussein — and this is
very important to understand — that hose
officers were not people from the Ba’ath Party,
but they were the officers that Saddam Hussein
used against Syria between 12978 and 1982 to
set up the Muslim Brotherhood against the
Syrian Arab Republic. These people are now
within Daesh. They are
Thanks.
But where is the rest?
Interesting that in China , with over 90% support , Putin is more popular than in Russia .
Especially the women in China! They find him “very handsome and manly.” (Chinese journalist Shui Junyi, CCTV reported – http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/20080)
These people are now
within Daesh. They are old, but they are well-
trained [the Naqshbandi brotherhood?]
TM At the beginning, Daesh entered Syria
suddenly, with a huge army. In May 2014 we
were thinking that Daesh were only 800 people.
But in July when they attacked Iraq they were
more like 50,000 people.
[Tarpley queries this. Thierry confirms 50,000]
TM Suddenly they absorbed a lot of small groups
who were attacking the Syrian military, to create
this new terrorist organisation. The creation of
this organisation was decided in separate
meetings in Amman Jordan, in May 2014 … in
the course of these meetings were published by
the PKK in Turkey, because these secret
meetings, of course, with the Turkish
government was the most important in these
meetings, and you also have in these meetings
the Barzani family, with the head of the secret
services of the Iraq-Kurdistan government. All
these people together created Daesh and with
the administrations of the US and Israel. It was
a big success, and it’s difficult to understand
why they had such big success in Iraq. Of course
it’s because there were a lot of officers of the
Iraqi army who were part of the plot and who
opened the door to these people, and they
conquered all the ‘Sunnistan’ of Iraq, especially
Anbar, and they cleansed this country of all the
minorities.
You know that in the Middle East since very old
times, all the communities lived together in the
same places. This [cleansing] was unique in the
history of the Middle East…
[Tarpley invited Thierry back in perhaps two
weeks’ time. Stay chooned…]

(Apologies for the split – comments don’t show up immediately after posting, so can sometimes miss.)
ps Another commentator – who has a website and appears trusted by Zaid – is uneasy at Myassan’s characterization of Erdo as ‘head’ of Daesh. She likens the increasing focus on him as the architect of ISIL (the hidden hand coming to the MSM surface, so to speak) as uncomfortably reminiscent of the demonization of Sadam that preceded the invasion of Iraq.
There is certainly a parallel.
Lol, glad to see Xi Jinping come in 3rd, despite the clear lack of name recognition relative to his “rival candidates”. :-D
5 years ago we in the Arab World have asked Venezuela to trade 10 Arab “leaders” against Hugo Chavez…they told us to “go **** ********, they refused ;>( , not sure why, 10 for 1 and “they didn’t think” it was a good deal !!!!
Last year we made the same offer to the Russians regarding Vladimir Putin, they were a bit more polite with us and suggested that we “take a number” for they are many other nations on the waiting list. Can we at least clone Vlad?
Well, they’re right, the queue is lengthening by the day…
Or else, make your leaders join him in his efforts to save the Arab world:

The diplomaic-geopolitical moves are at this point still rather “esoteric”, but they’ll pan out, inch Allah, if all of us help, through general goodwill and prayers, and through trying to understand what Putin is working at and towards…
That’d be as good as having him for leader…
That is fraud-ed web poll where anyone could get any result he/she wanted by deleting cookie and adding another vote – but using a script you can add 10 000 votes in no time.
Here is another poll with totally different results:
http://www.pewglobal.org/2015/08/05/russia-putin-held-in-low-regard-around-the-world/
“Outside its own borders, neither Russia nor its president, Vladimir Putin, receives much respect or support, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. A median of only 30% see Russia favorably in the nations outside of Russia. Its image trails that of the United States in nearly every region of the world. At the same time, a median of only 24% in the countries surveyed have confidence in Putin to do the right thing in world affairs, and there is far less faith in the Russian leader than there is in U.S. President Barack Obama.”

Pew Research Center is an American think tank.
Hardly anyone around the world trusts, believes or even pays attention to anything coming out from the US, much less from the US regime. The US reputation is ruined, completely ruined for the next 70 years…at least.
