Last night, the Syrian Air Defense Forces (SADF) shot down several unidentified aerial objects over the district of al-Kiswah south of Damascus, according to the state-run media.
Local sources told SouthFront that the SADF had also engaged targets over Damascus and Quneitra. The recently supplied S-300 air defense system was not employed.
Pro-Israeli and pro-militant sources claimed that the Israeli Air Force had successfully destroyed multiple “Iranian” targets near Damascus.
The Israeli military has not commented on the incident itself, but said that reports regarding an Israeli aircraft or an airborne Israeli target having been hit by the SADF are false.
The situation is developing.

Israel attacked from Jordan

Arab media reported details about the series of Israeli strikes in Quneitra/Deraa.
The main blow inflicted on Iranian bases in al-Kiswa and the headquarters of the 90th corps.
Western sources reported ten destroyed buildings in al-Kiswa and in Sinamin.
According to the Arab social networks, blows inflicted on the headquarters of the 121st mechanized brigades, 72-th division of the Syrian air defense on the Iranian bases in the area of Zabadani, the Iranian positions around al-Kiswa, the position of “Hezbollah” in Deraa and Quneitra.
The Israeli attack lasted about an hour, and was in three waves. First, the Israelis fired three rockets-trap, which was given a volley of missiles by Syrian air defenses.
In the Syrian media claim that the attack was carried out from Jordanian airspace, Israeli planes flew over Ramtha, near the border with Deraa.
The Syrians allegedly did not use during the attack the s-300 systems.

The T-34 went into production after the Winter War, of course it wasn’t deployed.

“A brief situation report, until this post is written:
At 21:45 enemy jets fired several long range Stand-Off missiles from Northern Palestinian airspace toward Damascus and Damascus outskirt. This was one of the largest attacks yet.
The missiles were hit over Southern Syria by Syrian Air Defenses and failed to reach the airspace over the Syrian Capital.
A second patch of missiles were fired shortly after which was also foiled by SyAAD over Southern Syria. An enemy UAV was sent with the second patch and was reportedly shot down over al-Kiswa area.
At that point, a loud explosion was heard in the Occupied-Side of the Syrian Golan Heights, which resulted in enemy switching off all lights from their outposts overseen from the Syrian liberated side.
After two air-launched missile patches were foiled, a third patch of missiles was fired from the ground (surface-to-surface) which was also foiled by SyAAD.
Syrian airspace was not breached whatsoever, even the airspace over the occupied Golan Heights was not breached by Zionist jets, all the targeting was from maximum range.

What they did not say above is the use of a newly integrated AA defense system (Radar and missiles) to optimize the defensive shield, this is part of the new equipments delivered by Russia 2 months ago. Furthermore, Pantisrs were the main defense this time as BUK M2. They clearly explained no jet was hit but a UAV, which was the same info as of last night.
Some preliminary conclusions:
1) Syrian Air defense is way improved after the latest additions, radar, time of reaction and integrated operations that best select the AA needed.
2) They high % (100% on this case) in 3 waves of attacks, air-surface and surface to surface, showed how effective is the new integrated system and basically sent a message to all Syrian enemies that there will be no free lunch form now onwards.
3) There is a very high probability that the missile launches were detected inside occupied Palestine, giving SyAAD additional time to react.
4) There is no doubt in my mind that this newly integrated air defense system reaches as far as the Med Sea, with clear implication on souther Lebanon, meaning Hizballah will have early warning of any IDF future attempt inside Lebanon, in a possible war between the apartheid regime and Hizballah, this early warning and tracking system will be very useful for them.
5) During 2019, we will see Syria expanding its air defense System to every corner of the country, in fact creating a NFZ for enemies’ jets, 1st step for Syria to recover every inch of country.

The Crimea has had S-400 coverage for years. The fourth set is just rolling into position this past week.
It is possibly one of the most defended zones in all Russia.
So, Syria may one day have what Crimea has. Not vice versus.
