Google is misleadingly presenting one of the flags on the second doll as the official Syrian flag. If you do a google search of “Syrian flag” you will get this flag with three stars, but it is in fact the flag of the “moderate rebels”.
For those who (like me) got confused: The official Syrian Arab republic flag has two stars not three. Apart from Kurdistan flag, what are the other two flags with the triangle and the eagle?
Triangular yellow pennant with red star belongs to the Kurdish YPG militia. It actually has a Y, P and G between the star’s lower points, though they’re too small to read in this picture.
The eagle emblem (or maybe it’s supposed to be a phoenix) is the so-called Free Syrian Army’s coat of arms.

Less than 15% of Syria’s current population live in areas held by the SDF, which cover much of the Turkey-Syria border. Meanwhile, the SDF now effectively controls around 80% of the nation’s oil reserves, with the Al-Omar and Derro oil fields in Deir ez-Zor, and the Tishreen oil field in Al-Hasakah province, in addition to several others across Syria.
Although President Bashar al-Assad and his government are open to the idea of holding negotiations with the Kurds to grant them some autonomy in a post-war context, they are unlikely to accept the SDF’s disproportionate control of Syria’s oil wealth.
The fact that many of these oil fields lie outside of predominantly Kurdish areas, or the theoretical Kurdish state, makes the status quo even less tolerable by the Syrian government, its armed forces, and the wider Syrian population.
According to reports, the Syrian government and the SDF have revenue-sharing agreements for some oil fields in northern Syria, but it’s unclear is such deals will suffice post-war. Certainly, such deals won’t be deemed acceptable by the Syrian government for oil fields in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, as these areas had majority non-Kurdish populations prior to the conflict.”
