Let’s start with the biggest news today, the Black Sea Fleet flagship Moskva cruiser suffered some sort of major ‘incident’. I had an entire writeup planned to explain how Ukraine could (or could not) possibly have shot it, but now I won’t waste valuable analysis time because more and more it appears Ukraine either was not overtly involved, or if it was it was through some sort of asymmetric/sabotage methods, etc. Even the Pentagon now reports there’s no data to confirm that Ukraine hit it with any missiles and all such claims come only from Ukrainian OSINT propagandists on twitter.
In fact they seemed to have cleverly combined several real life data points to try to weave their tale, i.e. using the fact that a Russian frigate shot down a TB2 drone a couple days ago as a means to “prove” that Ukrainian TB2’s are operating over the Black Sea and that their alleged strike on the Moskva consisted of a TB2 running a decoy/screen op to “distract” the ship’s crew, while Ukrainian Neptune missiles simultaneously were fired on it. This is not very believable as these ships are capable of tracking dozens of objects, nor is the damage now being reported consistent with massive ship-killing missiles (based on the Soviet Kh-55) successfully hitting the ship.
“The nature of the damage to the cruiser is still unclear. According to the statement of the RF Ministry of Defense, the main caliber of the cruiser survived, which hints that either the artillery ammunition or the anti-aircraft gun detonated, which caused damage to the ship. There is not enough information yet to talk about the cause of the fire and explosion, whatever it was caused by.”
Anti-ship missiles like Neptune are sea-skimming and would have hit low on the hull and not on top where the ‘artillery/AA’ are stationed.
The latest reports state that the ship has reached Sevastopol on its own power and that the ammunition fires were contained. We have no info how accurate any of this is, so we have no choice but to standby for further updates. All photos/videos released by the Ukr side so far have been fake, various manipulations of photos of burning Iranian ships, fake Norwegian missile strike test videos, etc.
It seems logically that Ukraine was somehow involved but we simply don’t have any real data to even speculate as to what could have happened. All we know is Russian MOD claims they are ‘investigating the cause’ of the fires to the ammunition on board. It could be negligence, to sabotage, to a number of other things. Very unlikely but, nothing is impossible. After all just last year the U.S. lost an entire modern amphibious assault ship, completely burned down via sabotage. U.S. is supposed to be the ‘greatest Navy on earth’, right?
“On 12 July 2020, a fire started on a lower vehicle-storage deck while the ship was undergoing maintenance at Naval Base San Diego. It took four days for firefighters to extinguish the fire, which injured at least 63 sailors and civilians and severely damaged the ship. After a long investigation into the cause of the fire, a sailor was charged with arson.[3] Repairs to the ship were estimated to take up to seven years and cost up to $3.2 billion so the ship was decommissioned on 15 April 2021 and sold for scrap.”
Not to mention the general incompetence of the U.S. Navy – who remembers this incident https://youtu.be/SYwglnZ7Qyo?t=35
The damage was over $2 billion.
In fact it was a string of incidents: https://maritimecyprus.com/2017/08/25/why-do-u-s-navy-ships-keep-crashing/
The USS John Mccain only a year later had another collision with 10 dead sailors: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-navy-crash-singapore/u-s-destroyer-mccain-collision-which-killed-10-sailors-caused-by-sudden-turn-singapore-idUSKCN1GK0HU
And USS Champlain collided with a South Korean vessel in a display of “shoddy seamanship” according to the Navy: https://www.navytimes.com/news/your-navy/2017/11/07/shoddy-seamanship-to-blame-in-lake-champlain-collision/
Or the U.S.’s most expensive ship in history breaking down immediately after launch: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/most-expensive-destroyer-zumwalt-navy-history-breaks-down/
Or how about “the second breakdown in 2 years” for the Navy’s most advanced and expensive (13 billion) aircraft carrier https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/navy-ships/a20521726/americas-newest-aircraft-carrier-suffers-a-breakdown/
And the fact that tests of its anti-air/interception systems failed and there were doubts that the carrier could even ‘protect itself’ https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-01-25/navy-s-13-billion-carrier-sows-doubt-that-it-can-defend-itself
The Navy’s $13 billion supercarrier still can’t do the one thing it’s absolutely required to do
So in short, accidents do happen, things fail: in fact they happen much more in the U.S. Navy than any other navy on the planet. So before anyone raises too many questions on how the Russian navy can suffer an incident during high-stress wartime, then you should first investigate how the U.S. lost over $10-20 billion worth of warships in the past few years alone in peacetime.
And let’s not forget this thing from the infamous crash a few months ago belonged to the Navy as well, when it failed to land on the aircraft carrier:
Add another $100+ million down the drain.
With that said, in regard to the Moskva. It is still a terrible and huge loss, even if the loss is ‘temporary’ (as “temporary” in Naval parlance usually means years). This is not only the flagship but one of the most powerful ships in the entire Russian Navy, even modest damage will likely keep it out of action for years as repairs on these capital ships take a very long time. This will reduce the firepower projection capabilities of the Black Sea fleet by as much as 10-15% alone, if not more. IF the loss is in fact confirmed to be from a Ukraine strike I’ll write up a separate analysis on it, but for now don’t want to waste valuable space on ‘hypotheticals’ as even the Pentagon refuses to say Ukraine did it.
As pertains to this specific conflict however, the loss is irrelevant as the ship was not doing anything in terms of abetting the military actions against Ukraine. The ship does NOT have Kaliber missiles or any ground-target cruise missiles so it was not really involved in the hostilities apart from adding an extra layer of S-300 and various air defense protection over the Black Sea. The ship is basically a carrier killer and its most potent armament of P-500 missiles is specifically designed to kill other large warships. But since Ukraine has no real navy left the loss is only one of prestige, not of actual current combat capability. However it does weaken Russia against future/potential NATO intervention and makes Russia’s ‘deterrence’ in the Black/Mediterranean Sea areas much less effective. But with all that said, the official reports from MOD indicate the main missile payloads on the ship are undamaged and so there is a small chance that the damage in general was such that it could be repaired in a semi-timely fashion. We’ll have to see.
Of course this all comes on the heels of a new wave of Ukrainian attacks on Russian soil, after days ago the order was reportedly given by Zelensky for the armed forces to begin attacks on Russian soil. Afterwards, Russia released a statement that if Ukraine continues over-the-border strikes, Russia will begin targeting Ukrainian leadership in Kiev and elsewhere, something they have obviously refrained from doing previously. https://www.rt.com/russia/553830-kiev-strike-possible/
Not only did Ukraine initially strike the oil depot in Belgorod, but they then shelled some farms and settlements on the Russian side of the border. Then two days ago, after Zelensky’s order, a Ukrainian sabotage DRG group snuck over and blew up a Russian railway bridge in Nezhegol, Belgorod region.
Of course western sources inflate its importance to “key bridge” which it’s not, nor did the Ukrop forces manage to blow it up, in fact having failed and mostly ‘damaged it’.
“Apparently – the work of the Ukrainian DRG. There was not enough wearable mass of explosives or time for a serious undermining – but near the abutment they were able to blow up the RSHP, without visible damage to the power structure of the bridge spans. For a day or two of work for the restorers.”
Now today there is new additional attacks where Ukrainian helicopters have shot up a village/settlement in a Russian region north of Kiev. For the first time there are now wounded casualties (no killed), with one Russian person said to have their leg torn off in the attack. Now keep in mind the village of Kimovo that was attacked is 5km from the Ukrainian border. A Mi-24 would travel this distance in about 1 to 2 minutes or less, and the location can also be shelled from within Ukraine itself, so this is not a deep border breach.
And another village was reportedly shelled as well: https://www.rt.com/russia/553876-village-shelling-ukraine-belgorod/
In short, Ukraine has taken up Russia’s challenge and threat of attacks on its leadership. The question is why? There are several possible reasons:
1. Zelensky and co. are not really in charge of the nationalist forces and in fact the nationalists want to escalate as much as possible even at the expense of Ukrainian leadership being hit, because after all that would actually serve their purpose of escalation since they know such a hit on the leadership would create more international support.
2. Zelensky and the leadership believe themselves safe enough from these strikes as they’ve all bunkered up, and Zelensky mostly lives in Poland now anyway apart from when he has to make a photo-op appearance in Kiev (as for Boris Johnson, etc) and so is not worried about such ‘strikes against leadership’.
This brings us to the greater point of all this – the Moskva cruiser (let’s assume Ukraine had SOME hand in this), the cross-border strikes. All of these are ‘prestige’ incidents. Not a single one of them is actually aimed at crippling the Russian military nor are objectives for Ukrainian military victory. The new cross-border attacks were on civilian targets in villages. The Moskva I’ve already explained above has no real relevance to the actual Ukrainian conflict as Ukraine has no navy of their own, nor does the Moskva launch missiles at ground targets.
This underlines the thesis we’ve established in earlier SitReps, which is:
- Ukraine’s chief strategy at this point has devolved into a ‘psychological war’ of prestige targets and sowing political controversy within Russia
- Ukraine absolutely needs the ‘image’ and illusion of victory to keep the morale of its own diminishing armed forces afloat, after every single major Russian victory.
To the above point, we know that in the past two days, Russia has won a major victory in the mass-surrender that occurred in Mariupol. This was a huge psychological blow to the UAF and the UAF leadership clearly needed an immediate boost to its morale. They require “media victories” they can show to their soldiers to continue the illusion that the UAF is actually winning against Russia.
One of the key revelations of the past week was that some of the captured soldiers had a complete ignorance of other major important setbacks that occurred in the same time period. It is clear they are being kept completely in the dark by their own leadership. UAF soldiers in Lugansk had no clue Mariupol was surrendering and vice versa, POWs in Mariupol seemed to have little clue as to the condition of any other part of their forces apart from the fake psychological reinforcement that they are ‘winning’ or ‘help will arrive soon’, etc.
So let’s look again in a broader scope at the Ukrainian’s current objectives in general. They know they can’t win militarily, so what is it they’re really trying to accomplish lately?
I posit the following main objectives:
- To prolong the conflict long enough that an accumulation of ‘tragedies’ (by way of falseflags) can mount political consensus against Russia more and more towards an eventual presumed goal of NATO intervention.
- To psychologically affect Russia’s political class (the ones that lean westward, 5th columnists, etc) into putting increasing pressure on Russia’s leadership, thereby creating tension, disagreement/conflict, etc., with the eventual “ideal” goal of the complete rebellion of one side of Russia’s political class against Putin and his ‘siloviks’.
- The presumed goal of also affecting Russia’s citizenry by demoralizing them to such a way that they would revolt against Russian leadership. However this goal by far is the least realistic as the West has greatly overcalculated in how much they can influence the Russian ‘narod’. The increasing confirmed atrocities from the Ukraine side, which now even openly target Russian civilians, is something that continues only to galvanize Russian solidarity for their troops and leadership. In fact the only anger Russian citizens are currently reporting is that Putin and the leadership are going too soft on Ukraine.
- To slowly affect Russia’s allies into viewing Russia as weak, militarily incapable, etc, and demoralizing the allies (particularly the ones closer to being ‘on the fence’) into decreasing their support for Russia’s SMO and becoming gradually more critical of the SMO on the world stage (via supporting UN resolutions against Russia, etc). Also combine this with the first point – the hope that the prolongation of conflict can allow the accrual of enough tragedies (falseflags) for Russian allies to start reconsidering their support.
- To keep afloat the morale of UAF troops under the illusion that Ukraine is winning, by amplifying militarily insignificant ‘achievements’ into a status of relevancy.
Like I said earlier, it’s no ‘coincidence’ that right after the single largest surrender not only of the current conflict but probably of modern history, there is suddenly all sorts of Ukrainian sabotage activity – maybe the Moskva hit – but at the least the cross-border attacks on Russian civilian / village targets. It’s obvious to anyone with a brain that Ukraine is desperate to go ‘tit-for-tat’ on Russian ‘psychological victories’ in order to keep morale afloat in its troops, which by the way are surrendering more and more all over the place. Not only was there an ADDITIONAL surrender in Mariupol today, but there was another large surrender in Lugansk as well (this is on TOP of the earlier Lugansk surrenders from 2-3 days ago).
In fact, their morale is so low, that some units have resorted to selling their tanks to Russia for Rubles.
“It is significant that the Ukrainian military is happy to accept Russian rubles as payment, obviously assuming that this currency will soon become their main one.”
The problem for them is, Russia continues to accrue actual battlefield victories, while Ukraine desperately fights to keep morale afloat with fake psychological ones. On the topic of real victories we have several in the new cycle.
Let’s start with the surrenders. We now have confirmation the British mercenary Aiden Aslin / Cossackgundi is apprehended, and the famed “warrior” is now claiming – “I did no actual fighting!”
https://twitter.com/MapsUkraine/status/1514612970050842626
His family, meanwhile, begs for him to be treated kindly (read: opposite to how Russian POWs are treated)
Unconfirmed reports from the DPR state that he will NOT be viewed as an official enemy combatant / POW adherent to Geneva codes, but as a mercenary.
Other videos of the mass surrenders that occurred that might not have been seen yet:

https://www.bitchute.com/video/PFkTNt0jBLQ7/
LDPR now report they have around 3000 total POWs of the UAF. Presumably Russia itself has many more as well.
An American mercenary is also said to be caught: https://twitter.com/MapsUkraine/status/1514559272633384962
As for Mariupol, the map currently looks something like this:
A small swath of Primorski district by the captured port in SW. Then the Illych Factory (north area) and Azovstal factory (south) is all that’s left. During the breakout attempt where mass amounts of UAF marines were caught, some of them reportedly made it from the Illych to the Azovstal to consolidate there, while others attempted to scram north to freedom. They were hunted by drones/artillery and gunned down. https://www.bitchute.com/video/VQVnvgZX1b8H/
Azovstal is being saved for last, after they clean up the other two. Contradicting reports state that Illych factory is fully clear while some state there are still some stragglers hanging on in its bowels and are being cleared.
Some even have the map like this, with Illych gone: https://twitter.com/Suriyakmaps/status/1514397409723432960
Elsewhere:
A Russian strike completely obliterated a field camp of the AFU where many soldiers were sleeping, presumably many dead

(alt link https://ok.ru/video/3392651463296)
And the most important advances once again occurred in Izyum where Russian forces reportedly captured the village of Borova to secure Izyum’s eastern flank: https://twitter.com/michaelh992/status/1514589758554529798
FR took Borova (unconfirmed) pic.twitter.com/GkUmPPgoMA

While simultaneously attacking Lyman https://twitter.com/GeromanAT/status/1514585692600475653/photo/1
And more importantly, made large headway westward to capture Velyka Komyshuvakha
https://twitter.com/War_Mapper/status/1514393355802791940
This would likely allow RF forces from Balakleya in the north to link up with this new salient, thus capturing a swath of territory to secure Izyum’s western flank. And further puts a lot of pressure on the very strategic/important town of Barvinkove, which has been in RF’s sights for a while now and may soon become the next objective.
This are fairly major captures in a single day which seems to imply that Phase 2 may be starting to kick off in a gradual way. We know Russia has not fully repositioned everything yet but on some axes they have already begun major advancements.
Here is further confirmation of my previously written thesis on the new strategies Russia will employ. From an Austrian Military source:
—-
Other western sources report (from the Pentagon): “There are 65 Russian BTG’s in all of Ukraine right now focused on south and east says sr. US defense official. Recall that Russia had amassed 130 BTG’s prior to invasion.”
What happened to the alleged 180 BTGs? The numbers keep dwindling, proving the accuracy of our reports that Russia never had anywhere near the numbers they claimed. By the way, 65 BTGs could represent as much as 130,000 men due to Russian brigades on paper being divided into 50% BTGs, the other 50% regular brigade structure. But as reported previously it’s impossible to really tell how widespread these dispositions are.
A few other random tidbits:
“⚡️🇬🇧🇬🇪 The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation revealed the names of 24 militants of the “Georgian Legion” who are fighting on the side of Ukraine and involved in the executions of Russian soldiers:
According to the investigation, they were Georgian citizens aged 22 to 58: Levan Fifia, Lasha Rukhaya, Levon Hayrapetyan, Vasil Alibegashvili, Erekle Amiranashvili, Veka Apresovi, Elguja Bagration, Vakhtang Barabadze, Giorgi Baramidze, Beka Basilaya, Zurab Bedoshvili, Gela Belashadze and 12 others.
❗️ Soon you will receive yours!”
And by the way here’s confirmation that the UAF continues to ‘reinforce’ by way of mass civilian transport as they have relatively very little ‘armor’ left (all armor is kept in strategic areas, cities etc for defense purposes, but has almost no fuel) https://twitter.com/Militarylandnet/status/1514665125692772352
Anyway, it was a day of major military defeats for Ukraine, but a few illusory and ‘symbolic’ (albeit ephemeral) psychological ‘victories’, which is pretty much characteristic of the conflict so far. Once Mariupol falls and Phase 2 kicks off in full stride, the UAF will be decimated with with an unprecedented scale. But there are some dark clouds on the horizon in the form of massive NATO/U.S. arms escalations which we will expound on next time.
p.s. there are several new videos of extremely gruesome kills of Ukrainian military in the past day. Not only was a new Su-25 shot down https://www.bitchute.com/video/bnqF4lYfir4g/ (vid without the gruesomeness) and photos of the pilot appeared which are extremely nasty, but a Russian Spetsnaz force ambushed some Ukrops near Kharkov with very disturbing results which I won’t post (if anyone is interested I can maybe show you where to find it). In short, the UAF continues to suffer very horrid losses each day.
Here’s one that’s not too bad though (still 18+): https://www.bitchute.com/video/C1aTkj4lGtwJ/

The legendary Moskva cruiser was NOT hit by a battery of Ukro missiles, possibly Neptune – as spun by Empire of Lies minions.
There was a fire on board. Localized. No open fire. Missile armament not damaged.
The crew, roughly 500, was evacuated to other ships of the Black Sea Fleet. The Moskva is the admiral ship of the Fleet – being towed to port, and won’t be part of Operation Z anymore.
What about the mysterious fire? “Under investigation”. Could be anything. Even sabotage.

Weird, the Washington Beltway gangsters will try to invent pretexts about the US servicemen who were taken prisoner by the Russians but it will be useless, they are all already unmasked. Curious to see what happens next…
https://vk.com/id578617852
I read she’s being escorted to port under her own power, by a skeleton crew…Pretty fine damage control team, I must say. A burned “sunken” warship recovered from the bottom of the black Sea, that’s already headed to dry dock for repairs. Reading any statements from any of the Ukrainian press releases, is like believing anything the slimeball Israeli’s say, or print…
Z for victory!
Posted this am in Cafe. More Russian ships in Mediterranean with Kalibr.
The Moskva leaves the Black Sea fleet without a cruiser or even one destroyer. There are subs.
Turkey has made matters worse.
“Two other Russian cruisers, believed to be operating in the Mediterranean, are unable to reinforce the Black Sea Fleet due to the closure, on February 28, of the Bosphorous and Dardanelles straits by Turkey to warships. Although Turkey permits warships to return to home ports, those two cruisers are based with Russia’s Northern and Pacific fleets, so cannot traverse the straits.
On March 2, Ankara denied Moscow’s requests to move warships not based in the Black Sea through the straits. Though the implications of this were overlooked at the time, that leaves only Russia’s small Caspian Flotilla – a handful of frigates and corvettes – to reinforce its Black Sea Fleet off Ukraine.”
https://asiatimes.com/2022/04/russias-black-sea-flagship-is-out-of-the-fight/
Meanwhile back in the Mediterranean the Russian ships which include Kilo armed with Kalibr cruise missiles could again hit Kyiv and its surroundings from these latitudes. So the situation is more promising than at first glance.
Tension is rising The Mediterranean Seawhere is the Russian warships Continue to the tail of NATO fleets aimed towards The coasts of Calabria Ionian sea. The movements of the Kremlin’s vehicles, analyzed by analysts and experts, are useful in determining the possible strategy of Russia away from the Ukrainian battlefield.
Russia in the Mediterranean
What is happening off the Italian coast? For two months now, the cruiser Varyag and the fighter Tributs It creates many problems for NATO aircraft carrier; We refer to the American Truman, the French de Gaulle and the Italian Cavour. Especially stressed the first two RepublicWashington and Paris launched their Hornet and Rafale aircraft on multiple patrol flights over the Black Sea thanks to these aircraft carriers.
Anyway, the Russian ships, could not reach the Black Sea like Turkey It closed the Bosphorus to the transit of warships, and therefore it operates in the Mediterranean which caused many troubles for NATO. Which should not only highlight Ukraine, but also keep an eye on areas not far from its coastItalia.
We talked about Varyag and Tributs. Both, after turning off SyriaThey returned to the Ionian Sea accompanied by the cruiser Marshal Ustinov, the frigate Kasatanov and the fighter Kulikov. It has been reported with some concern for several days.
Ships and submarines
the gate CovertShore I depicted the inherent situation of ships but we must also add appearance Russian submarine kilo, immortalized off the coast of Cyprus. According to various rumors, we find at least three of these submarines in the middle of the Mediterranean. However, it remains to be understood why the submarine appeared; Perhaps due to technical problems but the question is not clear yet. Yes, because Kilo, armed with Kalibr cruise missiles, usually remain submerged during their missions, moreover, they act silently.
See also Many emergency calls from citizens – Corriere.it
The point that we should be careful about is that we are talking about equipped military vehicles cruise missiles caliberJust like frigates and fighters. To tell the truth, the above-mentioned Kalibers, which were already used in Ukraine, could again hit Kyiv and its surroundings from these latitudes if they were launched from the Ionian Sea. On the other hand, the flagship could count on more formidable weapons, such as missiles capable of shooting down even aircraft carriers.
The situation in the Black Sea
We talked about the Italian coasts and the Mediterranean. To close the circuit, it is useful to have an overview of what is happening in the water black sea. On April 3, several Russian missiles hit the port of Mykolaiv. It is the signal that could herald a new offensive by Moscow along the Ukrainian coast.
Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Mikhail Popov was transferred by taxHe said US ships would not return to the Black Sea in the near future because they fear Ukrainian mines. “American ships are afraid to return to the Black Sea in the near future, and will wait until the dangers of mines are completely removed. He said in an interview with the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda.United State – he added – They do not want to help their European friends who are left face to face with the problems that Ukraine continues to create“.

I saw photo’s a day ago that showed the Moskva cruiser definately sinking. Also I can’t understand why Nightvision said :
“—-and Zelensky mostly lives in Poland now anyway apart from when he has to make a photo-op appearance in Kiev (as for Boris Johnson, etc) and so is not worried about such ‘strikes against leadership’ ”
Surely it is a BS claim, -how could Boris Johnson & Zelensky arrive in Kiev ? I was led to the understanding that Russia had sealed the whole of Ukraine to all aircraft other than Russian.
Also the UK would hardly allow Boris Johnson to go Ukraine in a War Zone they helped create. I only wish they had gone to Ukraine against all odds – to be blown out of the sky. Justice !
They travelled by train.
They travelled by train.
Then WTF is Russia allowing trains to still run in Ukraine? Madness -but Boris definately would not be allowed to go anywhere in Ukraine.
The photos you saw Labeled as the Moskva sinking was apparently from a video of another not Russian ship from 4 years ago.
The Kiev regime is grasping at straws – tragic
RF just confirmed Moskva sanked due to storm…
The loss of the cruiser Moskva is a loss of prestige for Russia.
In war, loss of prestige means loss of respect, and can be fatal because it emboldens the enemy.
Thus Russia must retaliate in a way that recreates respect, and makes the enemy back down.
Russia can no longer allow humanitarian considerations, or to differentiate among the aggressors.
However, the best option is to strike the weakest aggressor first and then the next weakest in succession.
Shut down all oil, Gas and minerals to Europe, the US and UK.

I hope Russia really start to take this war serious and destroy each Ukraine facility, infraestructure and end this war.
Or we are going to end in a nuclear war.
As Machiavelli told, sometimes not to be hard enough causes a major chaos and damage
Who says they are not hard enough?
Well:
They could easily destroy each electrical power central in Ukraine.
Therefore Ukraines would no have internet to spread their lies.
They could destroy every airport, not only the militar ones.
They could destroy every aircraft flying.
Maybe I am to westener in my thoughts, and Russians are much more kind hearted,
but I would have never allow my enemies – western Ukraine to suffer less than my supporters – eastern Ukraine.
IMO in the west of Ukraine they should suffer, and suffer a lot.
I would not bomb cities or course (I am not a Nazi) but to destroy all infrastructure in Western Ukraine and send that country to the middle age is the only way to win a definite victory, and not a pirric one.
This should be the plan:
Demolish modern life in Western Ukraine
Annex to Russia eastern Ukraine
Western ukraine is too far gone with nazi worship and Russia hate. Destroy their infrastructure so that they cannot even take a piss. Take out main roads, railways, airports, power plants, etc. This will prevent weaponry and any reinforcements from getting through, and may even stop altogether. Then, put all air defense on autopilot and let them shoot down any NATO transport plane. If these people want to kiss US ass, then they must pay for it. Salvage as much as possible of the central eastern part of the country, and then either create a neutral ukraine, or annex it.
Agreed!

Nazism has led to a kind of civil war situation in most of the occupied countries. Some became Nazis, some became collaborators, others remained passive, opposed or became partisans. There are now more Nazis in Western Ukraine than in the East, but there are far from only Nazis there.
Popular bandera fascism, although it was embarrassing, but for a long time did not cause any particular harm. It only got worse when fascism was built from a central to a new power. And this headquarters is not in Ukraine, it is in Berlin, Brussels and Washington D.C.
More needs to be denazified than just Ukraine.

Even if you would not care for the civilians, you would not want to destroy the electrical grid. Remember the nuclear power plant in Japan? That got into trouble because it had no power for cooling after shutdown. That is the problem with most such plants. And that is only the first issue that comes to mind. So don’t let the dark side win…
Cid-
Considering how many in the world rely on Ukraine’s (and Russia’s) farm lands to eat at even a subsistence level, destroying Ukraine infrastructures & transportation systems any more than already has happened equates to a lot of misery and deaths from starvation (Do you really hate poor people in places like Egypt?).
If we want whatever international order the outcome of this war may bring to be better than the ceaselessly bullying “monopolar empire”, people need to think 2X about stuff like that before wrecking shit.
Russia can sell their own production of cereal to those African countries instead of to Europe.
That’s all. This is not a game.
This is a fight for the future of Russia and I would say for the future of the humankind.
The West and the Nazis shall not win, and Russia have to do everything necessary to win. Starting by demolish all infrastructure in Western Ukraine to stop the arm supplies.
“I would not bomb cities or course (I am not a Nazi)”
Why am I thinking about Dresden and Hiroshima right now? ^^
What ever make you think Russia don’t take this seriously? You seem to be caught up in the western mind-set.
If Russia were to act like you want- then a nuclear war might be preferable.
What a stupid and monstrous, crazy statement… Why should “nuclear war be PREFERABLE” if Russia hits the criminal Ukraine regime’s heartland hard? Are you insane? So you would actually SUPPORT nuclear war against Russia – with all the consequences that would entail for the world AND yourself – just because Russia gave the neo-Nazi Russia-hating Banderist population of West Ukraine what they deserve?
Of course, we both know very well that your silly faux-moralistic posturing is in reality bullshit. You write this nonsense precisely because you DON’T think it will come to nuclear war – if it really looked like nuclear war was about to start, you’d have your knickers in a twist. You and your ilk expect Russia and the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine to suffer continuous and unnecessary losses due to the Russian forces trying to fight a softly-softly goody-two-shoes so-called “humanistic” war with their hands tied behind their back, against a brutal enemy that has zero such qualms, just to satisfy your completely disingenuous, cynical moralistic requirements and supposedly prove that they deserve your – practically worthless – support.
People like you and the commenter “Robert Rowe” above you in this thread are NOT friends of Russia (with “friends” like you who needs enemies?); and you are NOT neutral, fair observers either. Your so-called “humanitarian” concerns are a sham. What you are doing, actually, is running a fake-moralistic psyop against what you perceive as naive, gullible, dumbly well-meaning Russians, in order to psychologically “get ahead of them” and shame them into NOT doing the ruthless things they would need to do, to win as quickly and decisively as possible with minimum death and destruction to themselves. In fact, you are on the OTHER side – the side of the Ukronazi/Western enemy.
People who know far more than me said it would unfold this way and it is unfolding in the way they said..Recall how so many were chewing their fingers over the “slow pace” of the Syrian operation, and Russia has far more invested, a far greater stake in this war. I believe that Ukraine will either surrender on Russian terms or it will be partitioned all the way to Galicia..and that choice really only honestly leaves one likely outcome, because Ukraine cant surrender until/unless NATO surrenders…
Since even before the start of the Russian move into the Ukraine, it has been the U.S. plan to involve Russia in a prolonged guerilla war in the Ukraine. The purpose thereof obviously is to effect decoupling of Europe from Russia. Interesting a few days ago was the Austrian Prime Minister’s meet with Mr. Putin. The Austrian’s comment from the meeting was that sanctions would remain in place so long as war is going on in the Ukraine. The implied corollary thereto is that sanctions would be lifted upon cessation of hostilities. Now, the U.S. would not want to have any of that.
US may not want that, but Europe is waking up realising they were played a fool and that Eu will be destroyed if this conflict keeps on going. Eu will sunk in all this. So Fench, also Germans, started to state some diferent agenda.
Angela Merkel spoke in favour of her previous agreements with Russia, Le Pen in France say as soon as the war ends she wants to cut sanctions and no matter who will win is obvious French peoople really want this as people around Europe (except for a few 15%) and the message was already sent to the masses: there is a solution to this crisis (economical).
Also, they will push for ending the conflict asap.
US and UK special troups in charge, say a proeminent French journalist in French television.
Jost how long can we expect French and germans to be taken as a fool by UK, and sunk?
https://yournews.com/2022/04/12/2328217/americans-are-in-charge-of-the-war-says-french-journalist/
My guess not too much. Austrain guy went to beg for oil I guess :). Please, please dont cut the oil even if we sanction you and freeze things. We have to, we dont want it.
The Austrian guy is just a moron. At home as well as abroad. His qualification is son-in-law of some ex bigshot from public television. The EUSSR has the worst possible leadership ever in the history of the Continent (except Victor Orban).
If Russia determines it was NATO and/or Ukraine that is responsible for the explosion on the ship, Russia may change their war plans and do something radical.
I do not believe that Russia would/will over-react because this is exactly what the US/UK/West/NATO wants, it wants to cause some large-scale incident in which it can sell to its populations for support for full involvement (read: “tossing their own bodies into the fire”).
Russia’s stated goals are and will be met. Those goals will ensure that further messing about won’t be occurring. failure to reach such goals guarantees far greater losses in the longer-term.
That said, Russia will likely find “special” targets that it might not have previously known about and or had on their target list (and will elevate the priority).
Yep we’re now seeing reports the Flagship has in fact sunk. The “storm” excuse is just face saving and in fact it appears that the hull was breached fairly low which would indicate a possible anti-ship missile strike.
With that said it’s a little strange that even the U.S. refuses to say that Ukraine struck it. This could be a variety of reasons, OPSEC perhaps and not wanting to give up their secrets so Ukraine can attack other vessels like this, or the fact that U.S. doesn’t want to leak any information regarding the fact that it itself was involved in the strike (as the ship was being towed today, a U.S. RQ-4 drone was hovering nearby/above it watching it – so one can infer that perhaps U.S. drones could have helped in the intel of the attack last night).
The other thing is, if Ukraine really struck it with Neptune (or Norwegian Penguin II missiles as some claim), then why couldn’t they finish it off when the ship still seemed ok? The entire ship was evacuated which means it had no defenses active, why couldn’t Ukraine shoot more of the missiles since according to them it only took “2” Neptunes? They could have easily shot more at the now defenseless/evacuated ship in a ‘double tap’ to sink it, which didn’t occur. So this is evidence towards the side that maybe they weren’t responsible for the strike.
On the other hand, it WAS Ukrainian accounts that reported the strike WELL BEFORE any other RF linked accounts which would seem to indicate or suggest that they in fact are behind the hit since they had the heads up on it immediately after it happened in the dead of night.
The details might come out in time, but either way my thesis from the SitRep stands that: this is a major humiliating loss to the RF, BUT not a combat relevant one in regard to the SMO against Ukraine. I make that distinction because it’s very relevant to potential “near-future” combat against NATO/U.S.
With that said it would be further proof of something most experts have known for a long time, that in the modern era of very advanced missiles (missile advancements have surpassed commensurate advancements in anti-missile tech like Aegis/CIWS etc), ALL huge “capital ships” are sitting ducks and not fit for modern warfare. This is why the U.S. Navy is terrified of Iran and would not in a million years sail a carrier group anywhere within Iranian striking distance in a future conflict because Iran would sink them. And in fact we’ve seen that several times when things flared up U.S. strategically repositions its carrier group out of harms way to a distance just slightly beyond what Iranian anti-ship missiles are capable of.
Russia has already learned its lesson, and while the Moskva was a relic of a previous age, ALL of Russia’s newest modern ships are of a frigate/corvette size, much smaller, cheaper, faster to produce and yet more deadly than equivalent U.S. ships of much larger size, i.e. they pack much more firepower (with Kalibers etc) than equivalent (larger) U.S. destroyers/cruisers.
But in the end it’s still a sad day for this iconic ship, however it is was that it met its final fate.
Does this affect the ability of the Black sea fleet to land a force near Odessa for example.
Not really as the ship didn’t really have any capabilities for that sort of thing. But what it MAY affect that I should have added in the SitRep is that, depending on the truth behind the loss, it may reshuffle Russia’s objectives in Phase 2 with a much higher priority now placed on capturing Odessa because that’s the only place Ukraine could have fired anti-ship missiles from (if that was infact the cause). Russia may feel the need to capture the remainder of Ukrainian coastline ASAP to prevent any more ships from being threatened and the only threat is from that one last strip of land from Nikolayev to Odessa, after that Ukraine becomes a completely landlocked country.
“the only threat is from that one last strip of land from Nikolayev to Odessa”
Submarines can also pose a threat. All the more so if they sneak up undetected.
the azov sea is too shallow for submarines to operate
The Azov Sea is indeed the shallowest sea on Earth, only 14m max depth, average depth reported as 8m.
The Moskva was not hit in the Azov Sea, however. It was hit somewhere in the triangle between Sevastopol, Constantia and Odessa. That is the Northern part of the Black Sea, which, however, is also very shallow, maybe similar to the Sea of Azov. If that is so then the vessel, measuring 20m in width and 186m in length, might not have been completely submerged.
The Moskva was loaded with advanced defense upgrades and the only realistic shot at the Moskva would have been Neptune anti-ship missile batteries. The Neptune can strike ships over 175 miles away and radars from the drones can spot targets. Not sure why the ship was spared with no additional firing. Regardless, this flagship is a not just symbolic loss, but it hampers future possible operations in the Odessa region. Further, Russian needs to neutralize operations in Odessa and Nikolaev to protect it’s western flank.
Apparently the Moskva survived a hit by the Georgian navy in 2008.
.
“as the ship was being towed today, a U.S. RQ-4 drone was hovering nearby/above it watching it”
Why didn’t Russia shoot down the drone?
Heavy hints US/NATO intel involved:
https://t.me/atomiccherry/429
Use Google translate.
I don’t think it was Neptune missiles either. When Ukraine first tested the
neptune, Russia detected the launch and shot it down with the S-400. It
couid only have been done in coordination with serious jamming or spoofing
from Nato. If it did happen in this way who would have less qualms about
drowning 500 sailors: Nato or AFU?
It “died” in the line of duty. I suspect that in the not-to-distant-future that it might have had a less glorious retirement (scrapped). Now Russia has an excuse to build something new.
If no one got hurt then this is as good a “loss” as there could have been.
We do not know exactly where (or if) “Moskva” was hit.
We do know that there was large smoke from the deck, above cannon ammo storage, and that she sunk after many hours of being buoyant.
That is enough to conclude that was an hole under waterline, and that compartments walls/doors were damaged, so the water leaked from punctured part to the others, relatively slow.
There was no evidence of external explosion, at least for now.
Was there explosion of canon ammo that damaged bulkheads internally? Possibly, but unlikely. “Moskva” carried full supply of 130mm rounds, if that detonated, I doubt there will be anything left.
Missile close to waterline at position where smoke came from the deck, would puncture ammo storage and cause secondary explosion. That didn’t happened.
My bet is that divers or drones were used to plant multiple small charges on the bottom of the hull, causing simultaneous flooding in multiple isolated sections. Part of cannon ammo was affected and blow thorough the deck above. I assume, ammo storage is built to prevent chain reaction in similar situation.
Anyone with more knowledge on naval warfare is welcome to criticize this theory.
WIth all due respect to the crew, large vessels such as the carrier killer Moskva are antiquated for a country that has no need to project naval power globally. Air or sub launched missiles now do the job that the Moskva was intended to do. The ship should be remembered in a series of small Kalibr carrying corvettes. Quantity has a quality of its own as some gnarly dude once said.
As this poster said:
https://t.me/rustroyka1945/1159
“Farewell, master of the Black Sea.
Your loss is a pain for all of us. But with your departure, the Black Sea will not cease to be Russian.
I express my condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased sailors. They left as real warriors should. They left in the form of a magnificent cruiser.”
So now this is war Vs NATO & the USA. Best wishes.
It always was, but as UK and US are cowards, they just acted undercover. Now they can no longer hide it, we the rest have been taken as fools:
https://yournews.com/2022/04/12/2328217/americans-are-in-charge-of-the-war-says-french-journalist/
US wanted to send Romanian Army into Kerson, BEFORE the special military operation started. They wanted to push a comon exercise with troups from Romania – Moldova – Kerson and Crimeea something. It was as it states in the article below General’s Ben Hodges plan, but in the last minute some Romanian agencies managed to dodge it.
If it is of interes, it can be used the Google translate for this article from Romanian language.
https://www.national.ro/dezvaluiri/fortele-speciale-romane-trimise-de-us-army-in-infernul-kherson-759411.html
Uk and US were always involved
Also, I’m not gonna beat around the bush like some will do, and say things like “well there’s some positives from this, Russia can free up all the inordinate $$$ it costs to maintain the huge ship and put it to more effective use” yadda yadda. The truth is this is a massive disastrous loss of prestige, honor, Soviet/Russia history, and more. The whole world will be laughing, and maybe rightfully so (if the loss is due to some kind of Russian negligence or dereliction).
But with that said, Russia knows the entire western order is against it, this is an existential battle. And the only “good” that we can hope will come of this, will be the ‘waking up’ of certain people in Russian leadership, whether that be Putin or the generals or whoever it is that continues to go with a ‘velvet gloves’ approach on Ukraine. We still have not seen any actions against critical Ukrainian infrastructure like the 50 bridges that connect West to East over the Dnieper. We haven’t seen any real bomber aviation when in reality mass carpet bombing could in fact utterly decimate many Ukrop positions in the cauldron.
Will the great symbol of Russia and Soviet power, this iconic and eponymous ‘Moscow’ cruiser finally wake the Kremlin up?
Velvet glove it is indeed. Especially as all the devastation is in eastern Ukraine, for which Galizians don’t even care.
It is strange that western ukraine is sitting pretty. They have not experienced much of anything. But it is there that the hornet’s nest lies, and that area should’ve been Russia’s main focus, at least early on, since it is the center of ukronazis, and their western helpers. Russian leadership must put more emphasis on Lvov and those parts. That area needs to be destabilized and infrastructure crippled so any kinds of transport is made very difficult or impossible. It is totally absurd that transport trains can go from lvov to anywhere else. There should be a solid dead end there.
Yes, it’s very odd, that the whole infrastructure in western Ukraine is untouched.
It would certainly be possible the cripple much of the transport, and so stop worrying of Nato/ USA arms shipments.
For example, the only bridges blown up in Ukraine, as far I know, are the ones destroyed by Ukraine itself.
The dragging of the war, and the lack of power in it, is now encouraging Finland to join Nato, so doubling the length of Russia-Nato border.
New Nato members, not removing the old ones; exact contrary, what Russia is demanding!
Have you watched the reception Russian forces receives from the Ukraine people? That’s the gravel the velvet glove will make use of, when it hits.
” . . . will be the ‘waking up’ of certain people in Russian leadership, whether that be Putin or the generals or whoever it is that continues to go with a ‘velvet gloves’ approach on Ukraine”
Merccouris says there is now massive public frustration with the Russian leadership for not “getting on with it” and getting the war “done”.
He says this sentiment is being echoed by military officers.
However Mercouris postulates that part of the reason for the lack of “hard action” may be Putin’s desire to keep China on board as the Chinese are very much of the view that diplomacy should be used.
More proactive opinion argues that diplomacy has been tried and gotten nowhere and that if Russia does not succeed in Ukraine, China will “be next”
“Chinese are very much of the view that diplomacy should be used.”
Well, the Chinese are not fighting this war, are they?
Maybe politely ask them to either do something useful or shut up? RF is alone in this war.
To be frank, as tragic as the loss of Moskva cruiser is, I am a lot more concerned as to why LPR troops ( more recently reinforced with Chechens) are failing to take Popasna in over 45 days, a city of merely 12k people, at this point likely void of most of is civil population.
The same can be said about LPR efforts around Severodonesk and DPR efforts around Avdiivka and Marinka front sections. These are mid size to small cities ( which pre war had less than 40k inhabitants and some even less than 20k ) yet the LPR/DPR troops with all the Russian aviation support for some reason can not advance in that area for more then 50 days. Why? There are hardly any civilians left there. Why can the Russian bomb the entire area into oblivion ( whether using MLRS or the airforce)?
I know the entire Donbas front line has been heavy fortified, but having the air power, the heavy artillery, the really dedicated LPR/DPR troops (which by all appearance are the most motivated combat troops of all). The Russians have bombed the heck out of the lot ammunition and fuel depots in the area, some railway stations too. Yet in in spite of all this, in 50 days there is early any progress on the east and north east section of the front. Something is not right here.
Yes, I wish too the Russian would land or parachute a 3-4 battalions west and north of Odesa. But seeing how they struggle in the east, one has to wonder whether they have the capability to 1) land the troops, 2) expand the occupied area to the north of Odesa and Nikolaev to cut any supplies to the south west of Ukraine’s army groups and last but not least 3) be able to hold the ground being supplied by sea and air far as long as takes until the land troops push from the east into south west Ukraine. If not done in the next 1-2 weeks, I am afraid the Ukrainians will push the Russian out of Kherson. Maybe Dvornikov will bring some results to this tactical dilemma.
On side note, South Front just published a BS article of Eric Zuesse who works for Huffington Post another main stream media publications as ” military historian” Not sure why South Front would publish such a garbage. I stopped reading when this idiot claimed that Russian has attacked too early…. If you ask me, Russia attacked 8 years to late, which has allowed CIA/NATO to transfrom a 2nd grade army into pretty decent army force, and has brainwashed an entire generation of Russians living in Ukraine thinking that they are somehow different than the Russians living in Russia . For me, declaring oneself Ukrainian is just disturbing mental state. These are all brainwashed and self hating Russians not different then 5th column in Russia itself.
You forgot to mention 14th Russian Army stationed in Transnistria with HQ in Tiraspol. If Russian Army manage to make junction with Transnistria is game over for Ukraine. There is a straight lane from Mykolaiv to Tiraspol and with isolate Odessa from Ukraine. Blocade on the Black Sea then Odessa is chocked for good.
Nightvision,
Congrats.Any news/speculation on technique that will be used on Azovstal fanatics? There were speculations on flooding the factory, and even more macabre one, involving canalization from city..?
Thanks. We still have no confirmation but I believe they’re waiting for the other 2 pockets to clear up first so they can concentrate/consolidate all enemy forces into the Azovstal, THEN they will decide whether to flood it or what to do with it. Right now they just confirmed the Illych factory is fully captured so that’s 1 of the pockets down. Now only the Primorski section of SW Mariupol near the port remains. After that is captured then Azovstal will be the final spot and then they will decide what to do with it.
In regard to objectives, let’s start with the fact that Ukraine is simply a US puppet state. Accordingly Ukrainian objectives are non-existent and do not even include survival.
A primary objective (if not the primary one) is profit: the US military industrial complex is in overdrive supplying weapons to Ukraine and NATO. All those old stocks that have been ‘donated to the cause’ have to be replaced with new aramaments. The more that get used the more that have to get replaced. Also more to NATO for expanding deployments and the need to further expand NATO (Finland, Sweden, etc.).
Business is good!
U$A
Absolutely. The proof is in the pudding: Ton of US congressmen purchased shares of US defense stocks just days before the “invasion” began..
«In regard to objectives, let’s start with the fact that Ukraine is simply a US puppet state.»
In large part, but apparently not entirely: I was really surprised by an interview by Zelensky in “The Economist” where he went off-script, even if the interviewer was trying hard to keep it on rigid propaganda lines:
https://www.economist.com/europe/volodymyr-zelensky-on-why-ukraine-must-defeat-putin/21808448
«Mr Zelensky divides NATO into five camps. First are those who “don‘t mind a long war because it would mean exhausting Russia, even if this means the demise of Ukraine and comes at the cost of Ukrainian lives”.»
Intel Slava Z has video and talking with the British man Aslin. He said at the start of the Russian incursion, he wanted to quit. They took him and others to Mariupol. He said he was not happy with the Ukrainian regime and did not want to fight. He said he would be a guard. Then he said he wanted to escape and run away. He does not appear to be very complimentary of Zelensky and his (corrupt) regime.
The Brits will not be happy and will probably say that he said it under duress. I am sure he will be treated well and will be released after the war but based on his comments, he better not stay in any part of Ukraine that has Azov nazis or sympathesizers.
I hope Russia has some ships to fill in the gap left by Moskova. I am think either NATO or a mine. The US Navy had a plane not that far away that was a battlefield plane that could have directed the launch of a sea skimming missile.
He has a sniper target tattoo on his left elbow. He has a fresh callus from a sniper use on his right index finger. He is a murderer and should be treated as a murderer. No less.
If this is true then he deserves to be hanged or shot. I think his story about being a guard may be BS to try to save his skin. Thanks for the input.
Russia should even give him any food. Let the f@t fvcker starve. The Germans didn’t feed the Russian POWs in the camps and they were literally dropping dead. This was the report of the U.S. POWs who were treated a lot better.
If he is known on social media, he probably already have incriminated himself.
@cossackgundi

“Cossackgundi has fully left social media to us in the rear, so he can concentrate on removing Russians”
Telegram Response:
“Yes, bastard, war is a fun game for you where you killed Russians. And now, like a beaten whore, you’re crawling on your knees in front of them and you want to get away from justice? We know that you personally participated in 2 executions and tortures. And we will make sure that you are tried in Donetsk.”
https://t.me/rustroyka1945/1147
Mercenaries do not have protection under the Geneva Convention Art. 47.1. The guy should be shot.
Along with all those in the Russian armed forces who still didn’t get the memo about the seriousness of this war. With the shield or on the shield!
But didn’t Ukraine pass a new law, a couple of days ago, where it says that from now on, all who is fighting for Ukraine is to be registrered as a member of the Ukrainian army?
Do you really think this is going to make any difference when it comes to foreign scumbags coming to Ukraine to kill Russians in Donbas? Free labour for life would be a generous gesture. Plenty to be rebuild in Donbas.
Brilliant…I learned more from this single piece than I could sifting through several others!
Just a couple of points. You make an accurate condemnation of Ukrainian lies but then turn around and cherry pick information on the US Navy to make a point and reach an inaccurate and highly inflated conclusion. Seems intentionally dishonest. Second point. The Ukrainians selling the military hardware did not receive rubles, it was clearly US dollars if you watch the video.
Was both dollars and rubles in the video. This is the best proof of the state of “morale” within the Ukraine forces.
Russia should offer more money for surrendered equipment and Ukie soldiers. Some of these Ukrainians are so poor and even old men and women. Those with money fled.
Cherry picking? He barely broached the numerous issues with the US military hardware.
An Air Farce (yes, it’s a farce) general said that one way to mitigate some of the many problems with the F-35 is to fly them less. The F-117 stealth program was discontinued after one(!) was shot down in Iraq – with Soviet era missiles. There have been more US aircraft lost in the last month due to accident and failure than RF aircraft in combat.
After $10b in development the Zumwalt destroyer is riddled with problems and the original fleet of 32 has been reduced to 3, making the cost for these floating turds $7.5b each. Not the least of the problems is a cannon that costs $1m to fire. The littoral combat ship, over $30b spent on development, has a massive production cut and the navy is seeking a replacemnt design. The $13b Gerald Ford aircraft carrier can’t launch or recover planes.
The Patriot Missile System has arguably never successfully intercepted anything over than than tens of billions in sales.
Notice anything? Function is irrelevent, profit is everything.
Yep you nailed it. I could have filled an entire SitRep with U.S. Navy’s humiliating losses in just the past couple years alone. But at the end of the day I think this video describes the situation best https://youtu.be/QLACTCzs0R0
It was Yugoslavia that shot down an F-117 aircraft.
There is no source listed for the information in this message, but it is consistent with USUK / NATO behavior
https://t.me/intelslava/25287
“The Pentagon instructed the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to withdraw all the remaining artillery to the cities on the eastern front – Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, where they can fire behind civilians. Restraining the offensive of the Russian troops is prescribed by small mobile groups armed with mortars and anti-tank systems, moving across the steppe in civilian vehicles.”
FWIW Intel Slav Z telegram channel has lots of updates on Ukrop losses, and interviews with the British mercenary captured at Mariupol. He is trying to sing the Ukraine national anthem
“I didn’t fight, I didn’t kill, I don’t know anything.”
https://t.me/boris_rozhin/42338
An American mercenary, Joseph Clark, was unfortunate enough to encounter the Chechens in Mariupol.

I think a major hope is that their exploits can provoke Russia into reciprocal attacks on NATO territory to justify an expanded war, crash their economies and thus effect the desired Reset.
Seems like something is up in Georgia and the empire is planning on some kind of strike/event in the underbelly. Globemaster 3 delivered cargo coming from Pakistan today and Forte 10 global hawk is circling close to Georgia borders (which is odd cause they usually turn back around Sochi). Starting to feel like the empire is giving a go at assymetrics themselves now..
The Russian plan, according to the Donbass leadership, is to reform the Ukraine into “a loose confederation in which the controlling regions will be the eastern Russian-speaking, Orthodox regions of Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kherson, Nikolaev, Mariupol, and Odessa. They will be run by newly installed administrations and locally recruited security forces, both controlled by Russia. Dniepropetrovsk, Poltava and Kremenchuk are likely to be part of this federal alliance, which will be strong enough to win the next Ukrainian presidential election, replacing Vladimir Zelensky.” Zelensky’s term is scheduled to end in March 2024. It is likely to end sooner.
The future for Kiev in this new federal polity is still undecided, the sources acknowledge.
According to the Donbass leadership, the future of Galicia in the west is to become “a mini-federation of competing ethnic national groups – Catholic Ukrainians, Hungarians, Slovakians, Poles, Romanians, and others. Landlocked, without exportable resources except refugees, mercenaries, and girls, blocked by Belarus to the north and Russia to the east, the Galician gun platform which the US and Canada have created around Lvov will be stripped of its political power in Kiev. Their heavy arms, fuel stocks and command centres destroyed, they will be motivated to turn their ideologies and their personal weapons on each other. Between them and the east, this Russian plan for the demilitarization of the country will prevent the return of mass threats and NATO bases east of the Dnieper River.
The sources say this is not a plan for the breakup of the old Ukraine, nor is it a plan for the accession of Novorussia. It is a plan “to keep the Ukraine broken”, in which the big fracture lines will be moved to the west — and kept there. (John Helmer)
Unless, of course, all is taken over by events . . . .
(There is an enemy, 10,000 miles away, you know.)
Fiction. Take the Russian populated part of Ukraine into the Federation, together with Belorus and Transnistria. Lay waste to the rest and let them rott. Anything else is just not realistic. And the faster VVP wakes up to this fact, the better. Because otherwise it’s his head.
This is actually the scenerio that makes the most sense, in that it is the one that best serves Russian interests and takes into account the difficulties of nation-building. The incorporation of Belarus into the Russian Federation – which is a foregone conclusion – is the missing piece of the puzzle. Kiev will remain the nominal capital of this new Ukrainian federation, but the strong Russian presence immediately to its north will serve as a check against any new westward drift. I do think there is a strong likelihood of a Ruthenian independence movement that establishes a largely unstable far-western enclave outside of the new Ukrainian entity.
As for attacking decision centers, the top leadership and the military and para-military staffs have probably already dispersed. What is left are non-military bureaucratic structures below the top-level. Attacking them could still have a big effect because they are necessary to keep the country running on a day-to-day basis. Such bureaucracies often have political clout, too. They would effectively become hostages of the Russians.
Thruth comes out as always: Russia is fighting also with special UK and US troups, that instruct Ukrainians to use civilians, terrorist tactics mainly:
https://yournews.com/2022/04/12/2328217/americans-are-in-charge-of-the-war-says-french-journalist/
A French journalist who returned from Ukraine after arriving with volunteer fighters told broadcaster CNews that Americans are directly “in charge” of the war on the ground.
The assertion was made by Le Figaro senior international correspondent Georges Malbrunot.
Adding that he and the volunteers “almost got arrested” by the Americans, who asserted they were in charge, the journalist then revealed that they were forced to sign a contract “until the end of the war.”
“And who is in charge? It’s the Americans, I saw it with my own eyes,” said Malbrunot, adding, “I thought I was with the international brigades, and I found myself facing the Pentagon.”
Malbrunot also mentioned America providing Ukraine with switchblade suicide drones, something highlighted by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in a tweet that revealed Ukrainian soldiers were being trained to use the devices in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Citing a French intelligence source, Malbrunot also tweeted that British SAS units “have been present in Ukraine since the beginning of the war, as did the American Deltas.”
Allegedly, Moskva ship was hit by a missle from a NATO base, not by Ukrainians and that they lie and Russia try to hide this as to not engage with NATO which is wize, but of this becomes Polishinel secret, ignoring all these provokations doent make Russia look weack?
Of course I don;’t know many things and in a special operation you have to be wize and patient, but UK involvment is too much and too obvious, they did so much damage to the civilians in Bucha and not only – also oposing UN independent investigation – as independent as UN is but though, London didn’t allowed it!
They are in full skale war with Russia but are so coward they dont even come clean, cowards, this was always their policy, went always for weaker countries, weaker people, bullies. No honor
The whole Ukrainian way of (real) war is the repetition of American proxy-war in Syria.
ISIS tactics by the same masters!
From WarDonbass
“The Pentagon instructed the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to withdraw all the remaining artillery to the cities on the eastern front – Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, where they can fire behind civilians. Restraining the offensive of the Russian troops is prescribed by small mobile groups armed with mortars and anti-tank systems, moving across the steppe in civilian vehicles. There is nothing surprising in the fact that the Americans impose terrorist tactics on their pets, in which their people are taken hostage. But the fact that Ukrainian resources write about this quite openly, and treat such methods with understanding, and as the only correct one, cannot but amaze.
@WarDonbass

I’m a tad peeved.
Whenever it suits, people are saying “even the Pentagon now admits “.
Apparently the Pentagon is believed to be accurate when what it says fits in the “all is good, Russia, what a relief”-stance, but the Pentagon is scolded, ridiculed and disbelieved whenever what it says doesn’t.
Can we all stay on guard please, and as a first principle DISBELIEVE EVERYTHING the Pentagon says?
“even the Pentagon admits” — this indeed sounds as confirmation from the higher authority.
In this total-war situation very humiliating for Russians, I’m sure.
One similar thing is the use of USD in budgetary ect. news within Russia, who supposedly is striving to use the rouble, even internationally.
Neptune is based on Kh-35 not Kh-55 so a ‘Harpoonski’ rather than a “massive ship-killing missile”
You wrote, “I the hope that the prolongation of conflict can allow the accrual of enough tragedies (falseflags) for Russian allies to start reconsidering their support”. Yesterday in an interview Vladimir Putin stated the following:
“There is a lot of commotion, but they (EU and US) just needed to adopt a new package of sanctions, as we know very well. Today, we discussed their special operation, the psychological operation carried out by the British.
“If you want to know the addresses, the secret meeting places, the licence plate numbers, the brands of vehicles they used in Bucha, and how they did it, the FSB of Russia can provide this information. If not, we can help. We exposed that ugly, disgusting position of the West together with our Russian friends, in full and from the beginning to the end.”
This is a continual process that Russia takes with its friends, by providing them with irrefutable evidence of every false flag perpetrated. This can only tighten the trust relationship of Russian friends and backers.
They just dont want to realise they have some delay, inertia, using their old tactics, but all these are obsolete now. We entered in mid december 2019 in a new era, an era when nothing can be hidden anymore, the truth is coming out and the people feel it, people are awakening.
Is normal as we started to move in the sinusoidal orbit towards the sub, so the closer we are, more illumination. Are circles that last millenia, but we started a new era and their old methods simply dont work anymore, but yes they cause much damage.
Also when changes happens, is with urest, with hardships, is never simple. Also these ones dont want to aknowledge theyve lost so they wanna sink everybody if they can save something for themselves.
All this fake ops: people FEEL the truth now, they know when they see it or hear it, except the ones that are hypnotised through tv, radio waves with some messages, my guess is as far as I saw people that are not connected to the source, dont believe in anything greater (God, Universe, whatever some call it, the Source mainly), they were very prone to be brainwashed and controlled so simple, they even act like a flock, they all say and do the same thing the same time, like today we are ”jesuis something, tomorrow something else, the day after tomorrow we hate x and so on. All acting like a flock. They are surelly controlled somehow, you cannot be as stupid. They believe / get all the messages sent through internet programs etc, as their mind is weak without faith, they are disconected and thus very fragile. Not bad people, but very weak actually even if inteligent in other things, yet slaves to the ”consensus”.
In Norway we had the incident with KMS Helge Ingstad – that showed the state of the art were only for show.

Just because the NATO-officer on the bridge wanted to test how well it would do in the Persian Gulf.
Later that month NATO announced that french fregates would do their dirty work.

Well worth the cost – if you ask me.
One thing I want to say is the Russian fire and recovery teams, their equipment and training is a lot better than I had thought. Believe the Russians would have lost the ship 10 years ago, with many dead. Accident and other things happen in wartime, so it is to be expected that the Russians will have cock ups. However the Americans and British have had much greater cock ups in recent years, losing a assault ship in dock to a fire, ships being beached and colliding. The Russian issue seems to have been older less stable ammo as far as I can tell. And the Russians good a great jobs keep her going and saving the lives of the crew.
Glad you’re back today Nightvision. I was looking for you yesterday when the news first broke. You need to be here 24/7! :)
I don’t really understand why Russia doesn’t take the gloves off and act like they are ‘in it to win it’. Why aren’t they targeting Zelenski? Why aren’t they angrier after seeing POW’s slowly tortured and killed?
I just don’t get it.
Pretty much because Russia doesn’t want to look barbaric like the other side. To slaughter the leader, etc, is the act of barbarism. It’s things the U.S. does like in Iraq, Libya, Iran (Solemani) etc. Russia wants to present an image of civilized action with moral justification behind it. By going too far Russia would risk losing the moral justification in the eyes of important people like its allies.
With that said there are many ways they can still amplify their efforts without killing the leadership and such, there are many other hardline military decisions they can take into action but I expect it will all get to that in the coming days. Russia always ramps up very slowly, like a bear waking from hibernation.
Perhaps, but what is the point of saying that you will target the “decision makers.” This is war that we are involved with, make no mistake about it. I would probably leave Zelensky alone, but a lot of those other goons should take a dirt nap as far I am concerned. At the very least flatten every building standing in the government quarter in Kiev. Do it at night, when they are not occupied, but doing it shows how impotent the Zelensky regime really is.
More importantly, start bombing the arms supply convoys. Take out the railways. To have Tanks, BMP’s, Air Defense units rolling in on rails from Poland is just ridiculous. Until Russia does this, the arms supply are not going to stop. Also has everyone noticed the escalation? At first, they were only so called “Defensive” weapons, but now all limitations are off. There is even talk of sending ballistic missiles capable of hitting Russian Airfields and Russian cities. Do we have to wait until Moscow and St Petersburgh gets hit before leaderships gets serious about stopping arms supplies? For those saying that no arms delivery is going to make any difference to the battle going on Donbass right now, I will grant you that, but I don’t think Ukraine is going to surrender even after most of its army is destroyed. Either Russia is going to have to go all the way to Lviv to end it or just park their tanks at the demarcation line with the country split along the Dnieper and declare combat operations over. However, that will not stop Ukraine rebuilding in Western Ukraine. It is a big problem and I am not sure how you resolve it short of occupying the whole country.
Regarding the loss of the Moskva I have bad feeling about how it met its demise. I agree that it was no Neptune Missile and the Ukrainians had nothing to do with it but at the same time, I am not buying the Russian MOD’s explanation either.
I agree but I think the RF MOD is probably hiding something for opsec reasons, you can’t always give away how you were struck etc in the middle of a war particularly if it’s something that exposes a given weakness etc. So there are some things at times that should not be shared with the public. Either way the Russians are very fast learners, they shift strategies and learn from mistakes.
Ageed with all your points especially : More importantly, start bombing the arms supply convoys. Take out the railways. To have Tanks, BMP’s, Air Defense units rolling in on rails from Poland is just ridiculous.
It is ridiculous indeed. It’s stupid to allow this – please escalate !
First off, many thanks to Nightvision for yet another installment of his excellent sitreps.
There are some thoughts that have been nagging me and maybe others as well. It would be great, Nightvision, if you could share your insights about this.
– Could the absence of any RF heavy bombers from the battlefield be explained by two factors? First, a vulnerability to anti-aircraft defenses when flown directly over defended areas. Second, the bomber force having to be kept in reserve until the day arrives where NATO gets into the fight overtly. The heavy bombers could still be used to carry stand-off weapons but why do that when the distances involved are so short?
– How hard is it actually to destroy bridges like the ones that lead over the Dnepr? What weapons are required, how many aircraft sorties etc.? Maybe it’s harder than many believe, which could be the reason why Russia hasn’t done it yet.
– How about the following way of responding to the presumed attack on the Moskva, and NATO’s support for Ukraine in general? Use Su-57s to fire long range air-to-air missiles – from within Ukrainian air space – against NATO reconnaissance planes and drones that fly over the Black Sea. Russia has some pretty decent long-range air-to-air missiles precisely for such purposes. The point about this kind of action would be plausible deniability. Russia would simply not comment or deny any involvement outright when such an asset goes down. It would be the same attack mode that was probably used on the Moskva. The benefits, both militarily and propaganda-wise, would be immediate and substantial.
Zelensky probably is the only one who can sign the peace treaty that is recognised by the West. Now more than when the war started. So that would be the only way not to end up with a situation like the Krim.
Nightvision,
Can’t thank you enough for these updates. Takes serious dedication and work for sure and much appreciated. Also much appreciation to Saker for permitting these updates on his blog.
Removed – you have already posted this. This is now promoting another site and breaks site rules. Mod.
P.S. Also I noticed that in the Twitter it mentioned the General Dvornikov who I asked you about after Western media reported that Dvornikov had been placed in charge of the Ukraine operation. I would be curious as to why you think this change was made and how Dvornikov differs from the general who was in charge of the operation.
P.S.S. I’ve posted on the blog before that Russia should ask China to begin building ships in exchange for energy. The Chinese have become master military shipbuilders and could turn out ships to help bolster all of Russia’s fleets in fairly quick order. I’ve suggested that Russia could not only supply energy to China for these ships but additionally help China create nuclear-powered aircraft carriers. China, in exchange, might build a carrier for Russia. Another positive possibility is that the ships would be similar enough that, if war were to break out, they could be run by both Chinese or Russian naval personnel. Curious on your thoughts….
Dont shoot me on this – I am just passing on some food for thought.
I have been reading snippets from a naval expert on another blog (who I understand is ex-Navy Spec-Ops but I dont know what nationality).
He has “suggested” that the Moskva incident is the tip of the iceburg of a NATO special-operations exfiltration “job” (the term he used).
This rescue / exfil “job” occured in Mariupol to rescue at least x1, but possibly up to x8 (limit of believed capability apparently) very high value personnel holding out in Avostal.
He said that a trained eye would be looking for other events during the Moskva attack as multiple co ordinated distractions would be expected during such a “job”. He then explains that he saw those multiple distrations and as an ex navy guy he saw how it they fitted together.
Firstly the clumsey break-out and break-in attempts by “low value” (his term) Ukrainian volunteers and civillians in uniform mixed with military, that occured in the North and West, were likely ordered without notice to move any drones with thermal image ability away from the mission centre to follow the “low value” targets. The breakouts likely also refocused local troops attention away from the waters, even those on warships.
Secondly, and this was the centerpiece distration – a serious incident involving multiple Russian ships and air assets on the Black Sea was created. This was aprently centred around what appears to be
a) a combat diver led mine placemnet strike
b) a naval spec ops deployed torpedo attack
c) a suicide drone attack
d) a light ASM or ATGM attack (not Neptune, something French or British and possible Byractor deployed).
He said it was centred on the Moskva flag ship because this would cause maximum diversion and blind senior officers to the bigger picture evolving.
Thirdly, to everyone looking inland and elsewhere around Avostal, there was also an uptick of localised sniping and indirect fire attacks against local forces blocking Mariupol.
He said that “whilst all that was going on”, US Navy Seals / British SBS, and likely French Marines too, travelled under water to to an under water RV point close to Avostal, where the high-values were brought to (possibly aided by Spec-Ops who had previously broke in undetected and would know the mission – something required as radios would not be used).
The “high values” were likely taken underwater and transported by powered undersea vehicles with O2 tanks to a location for extraction from the water, and then transport to a ground extraction point – which could very have been right under the noses of the Russians as this has “apprently” been achieved previously – an exfil used by snipers taking out Officers and by sabs marking targets / setting fires apparently.
It is food for thought, and if true, again adds to the weight of evidence that Russia is actually fighting NATO (or NATO is fighting Russia – depends on your perspective).
(I wont link to the site this guy writes on as it is very pro-Ukrainian – and very much anti-Russian – and I dont want it getting any more publicity than it already has got).
It’s an amusing fiction, but that’s all. What you described can’t be done when there are plenty of soldiers/spetznaz with night and thermo visors and UAVs flying everywhere.
Seems pretty ridiculous. A submarine gets through the entire Black Sea and Azov Sea undetected during hostilities? Both ways? Um, nope.
Scenario for the coming new 2023 James Bond movie maybe?
Sounds like your source reads too much Ian Fleming.
The main reason to me that’s unlikely is the fact that if there was someone of THAT level of importance there, he would have been exfiltrated long ago already even before they were cornered like rats in Azovstal. Anyone with a brain including in the West, knew that Mariupol was a goner. In fact Zelensky himself said in a speech literally weeks ago that Mariupol was lost for good. So there would be no reason for someone of extreme importance to stay to the last very bitter end when in fact they could have gotten out when the writing was already on the wall and there was still a possible escape corridor etc.
To blow up the most powerful ship in literally the world all as a ‘distraction’ to exfiltrate someone? That would only be possible if the person was Obama or maybe the Queen of England or Rothschild himself stuck in Azovstal
thought they no longer had access to the docks?
I remember reading a book on WW2 60 years ago describing a militaryexploit where combat divers would ride and a slow moving electric torpedo up to a ship in full darkness and set it to explode later after they swam away to safety. So I would give some credit to this script. However that script would involve the use of at least two mini submarines: one to attack the Moscva and the other one to go to Mariupol. Something that would make the Brits proud of themselves.
This conflict in Ukraine is a very good opportunity for the Nato countries to test the efficiency of their devices in the field. So Russia is going to be the Ginea pig for as long as the conflict lasts. However I am sure both Russia and China won’t loose the opportunity to learn and they will adjust.
Great sitrep by the way Nightvision. Thanks.
The Italian Navy in WW2 made quite extensive use of these “chariots” to attack British warships in the Mediterranean, but only in port. It could never have worked in the open sea against a vessel under way. Still, required extraordinary level of bravery.
True.
It was the famous “Decima flottiglia MAS”.
Pure Italian recklessness. Look at what they did in Alexandria to the British.
They also planned an attack on New York. Unfortunately it never happened.
Air raid alarms going off in all of Ukraine again tonight.
Seeing reports of powerful explosions in Kiev.
Blackouts reported in parts of the city; looks like strikes against infrastructure targets.
Explosions also being reported from other places in Kiev oblast, e.g. Belaya Tserkov.
After the explosions in Kiev, electricity was lost in part of the city
I expected a Russian retaliation for the loss of the Moskva and this could be it. Much like the ironic tattoo on Mr Aiden Aslin’s arm: Your ‘Happy Days’ are over, chummy.
will real russian firework start as they did on 09/30/2015 in the Syria ?? I think its about the time show military might…. make Zelensky to get -diapers….
Just a hunch, but maybe the Russians are deliberately letting their guard down to bait the ukies, using them to create a casus belli for a major action that will cripple kiev regime’s means and forces, and is meant to usher in the commencement of Phase 2?
I doubt it because the law of ” unintended consequences ” would go into affect with its associated ” Pandora’s box “.
Losing the ship who’s role is to protect multiple Kalibr missile carriers leaves fleet vulnerable to long range attacks. This can end up very bad.
Neptune missile(s) couldn’t do this alone. NATO was directly involved with planning, reconnaissance, targeting, highly likely sophisticated EW. There will be consequences.
If there were restrains on Russian side, from now on there are none.
Military simply could not allowe this merciful, angelic aproach to continue. Russian government could be cast aside at least till military technical operation continues. West could get its regime change, but I doubt they will like how that ended up. I’m sure they will miss Putin sincirely, and remember him with nostalgia.
Be careful what you wish for; you may receive it.
Anyway, I wouldn’t stay close to Lviv. I would move out. Tonight.
Kalibr has a 1000+ km range no? Much longer than either anti-ship missiles whether from Ukraine or NATO, and also the Moskva’s effective range. It seems Russia already had the tech to avoid attacks on their fleet even without this ship, if only they play to their strengths which sadly they haven’t in many occasions!
NATO and USA were stunned when Russia first used Kalibrs to hit isis-takafari in Syria. This was from smaller RF navy ships in the Caspian Sea. They can hit the Ukraine if the ships are in North Caspian.
The idea of us/uk frogmen spec ops planting a mine-explosive on moskova is very possible. I think they wanted to badly damage it but maybe not sink it. I am not pushing NATO line but it is possible
There is a small elephant in the room. Israel. They have surely perfected anonymous attacks on shipping in the Med. They do have money in this game.
Remember USS Liberty?
Few does – and soon they will be gone forever.
https://lbjthemasterofdeceit.com/tag/trunews-uss-liberty-docuseries/
I have a question: whats the difference from a javelin wich came from nato to the sattelits from nato wich is used function is to give the position of russian troops to ukraine? Both has the same function: kill russian soldiers.
There is no difference. The US made it very clear that if any weapons were introduced by a foreign power into Afghanistan and then they were used to kill ZioAmerican troops the US would hold that foreign power responsible. Why cant Russia ?
Fitting that a Ship named USS “John McCain” crashed and killed servicemen considering that he burned down the USS Forrestal during the US occupation of Vietnam
Some say this has been “debunked”. Were I covering it up, that’s what I’d say too. But I love this tale:
Look at the disaster caused by John McCain on the flight deck of the USS Forestal. He accidentally fired a rocket that hit a fuel tank of another A-4B fighter plane and the resulting explosions and fires killed 134 and wounded 161. His father, the Admiral, saved his career and the story is now cleansed of any blame attributed to McCain. But the facts known by the survivors will never be buried.
Aircraft lost: seven F-4B Phantom II; eleven A-4E Skyhawks; and three RA-5C Vigilantes; 40 others damaged.
That was without the missile actually exploding. Just a chain event of fuel tanks exploding all over the deck until a bomb actually did explode.
McCain started that fire by causing a “wet start” in his jet which involves flooding his engine with fuel before starting. It’s a dangerous and juvenile stunt that is intended only to cause a plume of flame that flares off. This is why his Daddy’s effort to save him from ruin and the brig was such an accomplishment. Good riddance, McCain.
«To slowly affect Russia’s allies into viewing Russia as weak, militarily incapable, etc»
The Russian Federation conventional forces are both capable and weak: after the mess in Georgia in 2008 they have been clearly improved, and seem quite effective, but they are backed by a small population and in particular by a small economy. Even the “wonder weapons” cannot compensate for relatively weak logistical capacity.
Which as intended: the purpose of the Russian Federation conventional military is to defend critical parts of the huge RF borders to give time to the political leadership to decide how to respond. The “special military operation” is fairly atypical in that context.
While the purpose of the USA forces is to be able to sustain 2 wars of “intervention” in far away parts of the world to enforce USA interests, the USA itself not having been threatened by foreign powers since the early 1800s (except for ICBMs). The USA (and EU) also has an economy and population much bigger than that of the Russian Federation, a colossal advantage no matter much much profiteering occurs in military spending. Consider the stupendous amount of waste in the Afghanistan and Iraq “interventions”: yet the USA could sustain it for 20 years (also because largely funded by chinese, japanese, saudi purchases of USA government debt).
The only wealth that the United States has, is the accumulation of junk financial assets, which are in the hands of the Zionist elite. Russia, on the other hand, has the greatest natural resources in the world and the most powerful armed forces to defend them.
The USA has not been able to win any war since the second World War, which was 90% won thanks to Russia. So I can’t think of how two simultaneous wars could be waged.
In a while America will not have to eat and maybe they will become cannivals.
The USA can’t sustain anything for 20 years, not even the maintenance of the sewers.
If you live in that area, I’m sorry for you.
Absolute crap. All of it. “…they are backed by a small population and in particular by a small economy…” Big LOLs.
What’s funny about that? The US shock-doctrine set back both the economy and the population. What they need is to print enough rubles (but not too much), and invite the neighboring countries to participate.
It what works best – for the people.
I’m starting to think that Russia could have achieved much better results by cutting the gas off to Europe following the “non-ultimatum” it served in December 2021.
That would have put Germany and the EU on their knees without the bloodshed and all the economic and financial severance from the West.
Anyway, history will tell.
It is also becoming obvious that some pretty good part of Russian government went into the SMO reluctantly standing on the brakes at every turn …
Price has become very high, momentum has stalled, political goals fading away as specks in the fog, civilian suffering is unbearable.
Accumulation of more indecision, mismanagement, clumsiness, meaningless negotiations and confusing military orders would be judged as sabotage or treason…
From now on it’s gonna be full throttle or else!
And cut off the darn gas!
Strike decision centers in Lvov and Kiev.
And cut off the darn gas!
Donbass cauldron must be terminated in following days.
Massive RuAF action has to clean up the place ASAP.
Then take all Dniper left bank, go for Kiev, Krivoi Rog and up + Nykolaev + Odessa (Novorussia). Add Transdniestria to Odessa republic.
If no surrender: go to Polish border.
And cut off the darn gas!
Establish loose Ukrainian Confederation without heavy weapon nor Fascist parties or militias – Kiev West bank Zhitomir + Vinitsa + Central Ukraine inside Dniepr loop.
Lutsk+Rovno to Belarus.
Lvov+Ivano-Frankovsk+Ternopol to Poland, Uzhgorod to Hungary, Chernovitsi to Romania if these countries leave NATO. Otherwise CSTO long-term peacekeeping.
Russia has managed to build back most of its stolen reserves by continuing to sell energy: the US/West was ALWAYS going to ramp up sanctions and was ALWAYS going to end up stealing those reserves (unless Russia capitulated, unless Russia knelt). By not attacking civilians (which is what sanctions do) Russia cannot be painted as being the cause of their problems, problems which are all the result of their incompetent and greedy leaders- let the citizens of those countries revolt against their leaders, ousting them- something that Russia could not do.
The high road needs to be traveled in order to set the example for the “new world.” Maybe one day humanity will truly understand the beneficial role that Russia has played; but for Russia it’s a matter of doing NOW what is right and letting the chips fall where they will.
Thanks once again Night vision for this quality information. I might be wrong here but it seems to me as though just because Russia isn’t shouting to the world about their successes just getting on with the job on hand so to speak, it is taken as a sign of weakness or being too slow. It shouldn’t be seen like that in my view. The important thing is to carry on in an objective and strategic way to meet the military objectives. Things like propaganda and as you say the Uki recent psyops are just in reality distractions no more no less. The RF is quietly getting on with it whilst the West become ever more hysterical, irrational, undisciplined and quite frankly, unhinged. These characteristics are usually the precursor to self destruction on a large scale. I can see a point rapidly approaching where the UAF will totally surrender to the RF as they have very little left. All the heavy lethal weaponry the USA is sending will be worthless with no Uki army to use it even if it does create gathering storm clouds for the RF. Let’s see what damage has been done to Kiev overnight and other Uki infrastructure. I have every confidence in President Putin and his military commanders. The worse thing they can do is to be railroaded into rushing things. They have a strategy which is currently being deployed very successfully. I am really impressed with President Putin. He has the weight and expectations of a lot of the world on his shoulders. He is the true epitome of a Great Statesman as is Lavrov. Both are serious thinkers, highly moral and have deep integrity and are role models for any politicians. What do we have in the UK. The most corrupt Govt in UK parliamentary history led by a clownumber and a buffoon.
And in the U$? The oldest administration and congress in history.
The sinking of MOSKVA Cruiser is very bad news. I am a former enlisted man in the US Navy (8 years, promoted to petty officer 1st class).
Whether it was Neptunes or other ordnance that made ammo aboard “cook off”, it appears that even with total control of the operational theatre (wasn’t the whole uke navy knocked out in week #1?) the ship’s crew could not “fight the ship” and perform the needed damage control to prevent the loss of the platform.
I’m afraid that a SEAL team took out this cruiser … So it is ww3 and none of my idiot countrymen know or care.
When the Russians don’t say much, they’re in anger
This is a hit job like you say and not a Ukie one
This is a professional hit job
Yes, it is clear that NATO was substantially involved in this, Russia knows this and is calculating a major response.
Lots of complains about how the Ukis are using the Moskva incident, and winning the propaganda war by diverting attention from meaningful defeats, while at the same time, this blog and posters have dedicated an enormous amount of bandwidth to the sinking of a single ship, as if the Russian navy has been handicapped.
In war, shit happens, people die, materiel is lost, planes are shot down, ships are sunk. That’s a fact of life, in any war. Unless you have no planes and no ships. Ho Chi-Minh congratulated Gen. Giap after the French defeat at Dien Bien Phu, for not having lost any planes. Of course, the Viet Minh didn’t have any. If you do, you’re bound to lose some, at some point or another, like the French did at Dien Bien Phu.
Keeping the comments going on the Moskva only gives fuel to the Ukros information dominance, and they are happy with it. The ship had an incident that has not been clarified, and probably won’t because it sank. That’s it. End of story.
Next.
Lone Wolf
The ship sank while being taken to port, reports the New York Times.
Since Ukraine presented a false evidence (I posted a link to it in the Saker’s latest post), I believe what Russia reports about what happened, though in a war it’s possible to be hit by missiles.
I am happy to report that Russians With Attitude and Gonzalo Lira are reporting that Kiev and Kharkov are being bombed tonight with a much greater intensity than in the past (Qualitatively and Quantitatively). Half of Kiev is without power. The Ghost of Moskva is Kalibrating a new reality for the UkroNazis.
‘The Ghost of Moskva’
When I read a Tass article 24hrs ago reporting about the ‘significant damage’, the first thought that came to mind was ‘the Russians are going to retaliate for this, Ukrons are going to pay’.
The second thought was ‘the orcs are going to celebrate as if the entire Black Sea Fleet has been sunk’.
Not that I’ve got a crystal ball or anything…
I think the Odessa Coastline would have been obliterated if the loss of the ship was the result of a Coastal battery. That didn’t happen. Kiev got hit pretty hard tonight, but I think that has more to do with all the shelling of Russian territories than the loss of the ship.
It was caused by their bombing of Russian border cities for sure (fights are like that too). Zelensky the dancer made things worse by ordering the bombing of Russian cities. When asked about it on TV, he said he did not discuss his military orders with others.
El Zelensky.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dzW50fqWFE
Why did they put the pig in there? “Nothing wrong with dirty”? Maybe someone should ask El Zelensky (“Oh, I don’t know, the producers even gave me the high heels, I’m just a comedian but I approve this dance.”)
Not sure why the entire Kiev leadership are transvestites, here’s Zelensky’s advisor Oleksei Arestovych https://www.bitchute.com/video/dGc8b21bYL4w/
You know this guy who praised ISIS as a model of government for Ukraine
https://www.bitchute.com/video/j6j5Jazo2TK9/
Here’s Arestovych on the war about 8 days ago.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u5W4bftrSE
Ask him why Russian forces were still advancing and conquering new territory when they pulled back. If they were brutally destroyed as he claims, why were they still driving Ukrop forces back and causing mass surrenders to happen like the 70+ that surrendered in west of Kiev a couple days prior
After a video like that, what he says does not matter. I put him just to show it’s the same person, like I thought afterwards your second link did. I think the media should cover this part of them without criticizing, just for the news value. As partisans, they don’t cover such relevant info.
‘Why did they put a pig in there?
Juxtaposition.
The pig is the only sane character in that clusterf*ck of a video.
‘They’ would be saboteurs in that case, funny enough.
The media should cover all this. All this is also relevant news that all should know. Not saying they should criticize; they should just cover it. Thanks only to Nightvision do I now see this video of Arestovych, or even know who he is.
I think I understand this other video well, This video of Arestovych is not really about sex. Sex is the means. He has a strong dislike of something else: Of truth, of what people call “logic”, also the concept of “right” which makes other things “wrong.” Truth-logic-right made him so angry that he danced in this way. There’s fury there; it is not promotion on his part. He is a transvestite too, for sure – but it’s about the message of rejection and spite.
I now believe that these Ukrainian helicopter raids are not being done by the Ukrainian military themselves, but by the CIA using Ukrainian choppers and mercenary pilots. The intent is to escalate the war by getting Russia to strike at Kiev directly.
A second possibility is that the neo-Nazis are coercing Ukrainian commanders to order these hits. The third possibility is some Ukrainian commanders are doing this on their own accord.
It makes no sense that Ukrainian continues to deny these raids. Therefore it’s being done outside their control.
Since when the Ukrainian words count?

“I now believe that these Ukrainian helicopter raids are not being done by the Ukrainian military themselves, but by the CIA using Ukrainian choppers and mercenary pilots. The intent is to escalate the war by getting Russia to strike at Kiev directly…”
Good assessment.
I suspected the same from the first attack to the fuel tanks in Belgorod, and my suspicions were augmented by an article in a Russian publication I couldn’t recall now even if I try, which stated the choppers were not flown by Ukrainian pilots. CIA used to do that in Indochina, they had their own fleet of planes and choppers, and the purpose can be many, sabotage, or, as you well pointed out, provocation in search of an escalation.
Pilots-for-hire is the CIA MO.
The Russian response, however, is sort of lame. Instead of sending a worded warning, they should have sent Comrade Khinzal, with a worded warning, “if you continue to bomb across the border, Comrade Khinzal will keep on visiting you. “Isn’t it about time to start bombing that snake pit that is Lvov, just to show them the long arm of Russia can reach anywhere? Russian pace is methodical and deliberate, and so far it is proven effective. However, there are areas where the pain-dial can be turned up a notch, as in the response to the bombing in Russia’s cities and villages.
And not only when the Ukros attack Russia, the pain-dial should go up after mass killings as in Kramatorsk just last week, and Donetsk a few weeks ago.

The Ukrainian Army IS TRAPPED: Russian artillery and air forces are HAMMERING at the Ukrainian Armed Forces with IMPUNITY around the clock! Evening of April 14 (25 videos, 2022)
Subscribe to Telegram, where the tiniest stuff is published.
Judging by the reports of the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian army is engaged in total remote destruction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbas. There is no offensive, but hundreds of artillery and rocket attacks follow. Kramatorsk, Artemovsk, Velikaya Novoselka, Teminovka, and other localities-concentrations of manpower and armored vehicles are being destroyed. Only during the day, 110 strongholds and areas of accumulation of manpower, 4 artillery batteries, as well as warehouses and other objects were destroyed. In Kramatorsk, rockets destroyed one of the workshops of PJSC Energomashspetsstal, dozens of such targets.
In Slavyansk and in general in the Donbas, it has been raining for two days. Evacuation continues, the car can go to the Dnieper and even Kharkiv, but men are not allowed on evacuation trains. Queues at pharmacies and ATMs. Air alerts sound periodically.
It became clear on the cruiser “Moscow”. He and other ships were 96 kilometers south of Odessa when something caught fire on him at night. The fire is extinguished, the cruiser is heading for Sevastopol under its own power. The missile armament and power plant on it are not damaged, and repairs will be delayed for at least a month (if this is appropriate for such an old vessel). What happened – the Americans do not know, ours – do not know. But in Ukraine, 10 versions of what happened.
A source in Dnipro reported that on April 10, a repair plant, a fuel depot, an ammunition depot and the parking lot of the first squadron were destroyed by high-precision weapons of the Russian Federation. Two planes are still standing, but they are not taking off.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon recommends that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hide all artillery in cities and withdraw half of the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Donbass to the second line of defense Dnipro-Zaporozhye. But it seems that Kiev, along with the supply of NATO weapons, has come to believe in its own strength and wants to fight until the capture of Crimea and the entire Donbass, and maybe even storm Moscow.
————————————–
It’s raining hell on the Ukros. Gloves are off. It was about time, a full reaction to the US/NATO war on Russia.

This was pretty much the plan. Russians had to first achieve required goals to ensure they could then settle in for the full battle (doing so with as close to certainty of success that is possible in war).
I long ago figured that this battle would maybe take a week. It HAS to go quickly in order to reduce the number of escapees (who will take a toll on the civilian populations).
Still will be lots of mopping up (Odessa is on the priority list). May 9th the deadline?

My wild guess is the Empire of Lies and it’s vassals has many thousands of military fighting in the Ukraine currently
Let’s not beat around the bush, the sinking of the Moskva is an enormous loss to Russia, bigger than the loss of entire fleets (yes, fleets, the Baltic fleet took about eight months to go around Africa and Indian Ocean to get there!) in 1905… and as appalling. That distant loss at Tsushima made the the “joke-rounds” among other navies for many years and I’m sure the Hegemon’s ones are laughing now too while the friendly ones are raising their eyebrows. A country which proclaims to be a competitor capable of confronting the Hegemon cannot afford these heights of stupidity or negligence. How cannot it defy the huge Hegemon’s fleets, armies and air forces if it cannot defend its flagship in its own waters against a non-existent navy and a ragtag army?
The loss, apart from the material and sailors’ lives, is primarily the loss of prestige around the world. Friendly countries, relying on the supposed Russian military prowess, are surely asking whether they are risking too much and the hypersonic pitch a puff of hot air.
I described above “stupidity or negligence” but they mean the same thing: a country at war must be alert to all potential risks, known and unknown, especially the latter. I have no idea of the causes but I know for sure that such loss could only result from an unpardonable dereliction of duty and gross lack of military professionalism. Heads must roll.
The Mitsushima disaster heralded the end of Imperial Russia and I hope this one, albeit of minor material significance, is huge and it is useless to sweep its meaning under the carpet. Grave repercussions will follow and the Hegemon must be very exhultant.
@ Parfois on April 14, 2022 · at 10:58 pm EST/EDT
I believe you’re making a storm in a teapot.
Nothing will happen. Two days from now, the incident will be forgotten, given place to new incidents, created or real. Russians are masters at learning, this is a hard lesson for them, and they will extract all they need for the near and long term future, no doubt about that.
Lone Wolf
I agree – the most important part is it seems no sailors’ lives were lost. If that’s true then that’s no loss at all because equipment is just old iron, but Russian soldiers are irreplaceable. Now the survivors will fight with a new hunger and Ukraine/NATO will be truly screwed
@Nightvision
Thank you for optimism (realism) after shipwreck that stunned us.
After all that was an old cruiser, BEFORE modernization. New, better one will be build/purchased without fatal flaws that led to “Moskva” demise.
I have no idea of the causes but I know for sure that such loss could only result from an unpardonable dereliction of duty and gross lack of military professionalism.
You don’t know the exact cause but you know that it’s a result of dereliction of duty …bla …bla ..bla. What kind of logic is that?
The ‘Moskva’ was an important part of the BSF, giving the fleet formidable firepower with its P-500/Vulcan missiles, anti-air missiles, main gun, and also ‘situation awareness’ with her radar and sensors. Her radars would have been useful in getting a more complete air/sea picture of her operational sector: in this case Odessa, southern Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria. If it were not so, the RF navy would not have deployed her to 90 miles off the Ukrainian coast and would have retired her long ago and much less make her a flag ship; speaking of which, I hope the admiral was not onboard when the fire broke out.
The loss of a capital ship — whether from enemy action or not — must have an impact on sailors’ morale throughtout the BSF and the RF Navy. The safe evacuation of the great majority(?) of Moskva’s crew will go a long way towards mitigating the negative effect of her loss.
Anyone who makes light of her relevance in the Ukraine campaign because the Ukrainian navy has ceased to exist or says her loss is of no consequence, a storm in a teacup, doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Having said that, the loss of Moskva is surely not bigger than the loss of entire fleets. It’s not even like the loss of two capital ships involved in a taskforce whose code-name, by a coincidence, also involved the letter ‘Z’ — Force Z, the loss of which allowed the Japanese to attack British Malaya on 8 Dec 1941 (yes, same day as Pearl Harbour but lesser known) unmolested. And much less is it, the loss of Moskva that is, comparable to Russian losses in Tsushima Strait a hundred years ago.

No matter how one tries to explain how the loss of Moksva only has ‘minimal’ affect on this war in Ukraine, the fact is that it does in quite a big way. May not have much effect for on the ground military ops but it is hard to understate the demoralizing effects it may have within Russia(both military and civilian) and with pro Russia folks elsewhere. Geopolitically, Russian military will be seen as weak or incompetent and will play a role in shaping how global south countries and perhaps even so called ‘friendly countries’ (India for example) decide with regards to Western pressures on them to sanction Russia. Doesn’t really matter which party caused the destruction and sinking of this ship, the optics are all that matter. Western audiences will be convinced Ukraine is winning and Russia will lose. The rest of the world, even those who root for Russia may switch sides to safeguard their own national interests. This is a major loss of prestige for Russia. By the way, I ‘overheard’ the destruction of this flagship via Chinese media CGTN where credit was given to Ukraine military – it is indeed quite demoralizing when China was supposed to be Russia’s ‘more than allies’. So far China’s support for Russia had been disappointingly underwhelming and I am saying this as an ethnic Chinese who is pro Russia-China alliance!
Generally, as a non military person, I just can’t shake my doubts about Russian ‘success’ or assured ‘military victory’ in this war. I think the resilience of Ukraine military (backed by NATO) had been and continues to be underestimated in Pro Russia sites (and I wonder if Putin /Russian military underestimated a combined NATO + Ukraine military strength). This site, Mercouris and many other pro Russia sites have been saying for the longest time that the fall of Mariupol was imminent – with shifting goalposts by some of them: within the next 24 to 48 hours, then when such predictions failed to materialize, over the next few days, then over the next one week, then over the next few weeks and finally an admission of the truth: not predictable. I myself think Mariupol’s fall to Russia is almost a foregone conclusion but the fact that it is taking Russia so long to accomplish this is, to me, a proof of Ukraine military resilience, of NATO’s strength and the weakness of Russian conventional warfare. Everyone talks about Phase 2 but taking Mariupol has been so tough. If the battle of Donbass is indeed next, I doubt it’s assured military victory for Russia.
I think Russia should stop this defence of its moral high ground image in this war. For populations in the West and many pro West group in the global south, Russia is the aggressor to be opposed the moment Russia ‘invaded’ Ukraine. No matter what, they will believe the most ridiculous narratives of Western MSM/ukraine propaganda. As for those ‘anti war’ folks who are against USA hegemony but yet oppose this war because they are, ummm, ‘anti war’, these are denialists of the barbaric side of humanity and live in an unrealistic hope of a future warless Utopia. Then the last group, maybe the majority of pro Russia folks:Many who oppose USA hegemony actually understand how horrible any war is but we understand this war is actually part of a struggle for a fairer and different world order and ukraine /nato will never play fair – they will use civilian deaths to paint a Russia is evil picture. Morally unpalatable as it may be, we accept the deaths of Ukrainian civilians as unavoidable collaterals to win a decisive victory. There is no choice for Russia but stop this humane war nonsense that so far only demoralizes and cause loss of lives to Russia but benefits Ukraine military resilience. War is end of civility and a violent means to an ends. Russia(and China) should stop sugarcoating but just take off the gloves and finish it ASAP!
As for Nemirni saying China should shut up if they want to maintain their moral high ground image, I agree! I have quarreled with some Chinese from China(I am Chinese but not from China) that China is not supporting enough! China is next if Russia loses this war. They should stop trying to be ‘neutral’ and all this BS. Perhaps the USA will soon escalate tensions in Taiwan, and I actually wish for this pressure on China… Only then, when threatened, will China stop their cowardly ‘only rhetoric but no actual support stance’ and perform their ‘more than allies’ responsibility in the struggle for a multipolar world order. China must take the risks and responsibility if they want this to happen. China cannot have the cake and eat it too.
My 2 cents.
Well Russia hammered targets all around Kiev pretty hard today, clearly as a response to some of the stupid things Ukraine has done.
So I would say the gloves are coming off, I doubt in a couple months down the line this will still be something we are complaining about.
I get your general take but I believe you’re overreacting a bit. The first part of what you wrote basically chimes with what I wrote in the analysis, which is what Ukraine’s goal is in accomplishing these assymetric strikes.
As for Mariupol and the like, firstly Mariupol itself is not really reflective of the Russian military which has a minor role there (a small marine detachment). The DPR with its legendary Somali / Sparta battalions and others are doing the heavy lifting in the Mariupol fight by far, and the Chechens are adding a little extra. And while Chechens are Russians, the Chechen unit there is not really even a real military unit but is Rosgvardia, i.e. “National Guard”. Which means they have no real heavy armament, no equipment etc, mostly just a lightly armed ground force. Though they are performing spendidly but my point being that the actual Russian army is not involved much in Mariupol.
Secondly, you have to understand cities take a very long time to siege and fall. As I’ve mentioned before, Aleppo, Sarajevo, etc took years to capture. The first battle of Fallujah took about a month for U.S. to capture the city, and that’s with a tiny enemy force of like 3000, compare that to Mariupol’s 20,000 or so which it started out with. The Second Battle of Fallujah later that year when U.S. had to retake the city after abandoning it, took almost 2 months, once again against a much tinier force where the U.S. actually had double the strength of the enemy.
And no offense to the Iraqi’s but they’re no where near the strength of Azov/Ukraine in terms of just pure armament.
So in short, the battle of Mariupol is actually going very fast for a siege of a city that’s actually double the size/population of Fallujah too.
The one thing most people don’t know is that the real war hasn’t even begun yet. Phase 1 was primarily a light recon ground assault operation which is why I’ve heard statistics (as mentioned several times) that 80% of RF losses were VDV forces. The 2 major battles of the ‘war’ so far were around Kiev and the Kherson push and both were primarily VDV light forces, whereas the 4th Guards Tank army etc slowly secured the eastern Kiev flank but didn’t really engage in any major battles like the Bucha guys did.
So in short what I’m saying is, you haven’t even seen the real Russian army yet. Russia’s light airborne forces alone destroyed 90% of the Ukrainian military. Now you are about to see the actual Russian army with its full artillery, tank armies, etc potential and you’ll see how badly Ukraine is wrecked.
The last two paragraphs!
I don’t know what VDV stands for. You may want to give a full name the first time with initials in parenthesis. I think most people don’t know.
“The one thing most people don’t know is that the real war hasn’t even begun yet.”
True, but people know Russia is stronger than Ukraine. All know that. They don’t want Russia to become stronger and a major power in the world or even the most major one. This is what they struggle against; the war is like their alphabet for this other thing. If that full potential is shown, I don’t know what they will say (maybe it’s the late hour, 12:37 am). They will say that Russia “learned from its defeats.” I noticed today more commentators (two) already speaking about Russia learning and improving and citing WWII and Chechnya as examples (on MSNBC). These days the TV has to be on all the time ;-).
Just a thought Nightvision… what do you think…with regards to Sweden, Finland joining NATO.
What I would do if I was Russia would be form a new border north of St Petersburg East to, say Arkhangelsk or lower on the Divina River and declare a new Muslim home land for the displaced Muslims of NATO wars. Given how racist these two nations are…. it would be worth it just to see the look on their faces. It’s good virgin , barely occupied territory. The victims of NATO have earned it…Ta Clive
@Nightvision
Thanks so much for taking the trouble to explain the situation in Ukraine from a military perspective. Especially the comparison with the battle for Fallujah as well as pointing out that the Russian military is less involved in the current battle for Mariupol. Appreciate it.
The psychological warfare the West/Ukraine wages upon the average civilian is very real indeed! We just have to watch how events unfold.
“The first battle of Fallujah took about a month for U.S. to capture the city,”
If memory serves, it took longer than that, in fact my recollection is that the US withdrew, declared numerous ceasefires over a number of months, while the Zarkawi group, the early stage of what became ISIS, set up a so-called shura council to govern the city. All under the nose of the US occupying military. Re: Ukraine, those who are constantly, almost obsessively, questioning Russian strategy, should really examine the US occupation of Iraq to get an idea of how a large & powerful military can get ground down in hostile territory. That is not what is happening with Russian forces, but it is clear that Russia has gone very light in Ukraine in this initial stage for a whole variety of reasons, amongst other things Russia wants to do minimal damage in Ukraine, Look at Azovstal, could Russia just not bomb it into the ground? Of course, an easy US/Pentagon type of manoeuvre, but they won’t, because they know it will be important to re-building the local economy after all this is over. Russia wants to kill as few Ukrainians as possible to minimise post-war resentment & hostility, it will be much easier to re-build pro-Russian sentiment later on, & re-build it they will, people vastly over estimate how much the Banderite ideology has captured the population – those that are Banderists that escape death & captivity will escape Ukraine, they will not stay, like those millions that have left, most of them will never return, they will seek permanent asylum/emigration to the west.
“So in short, the battle of Mariupol is actually going very fast
..”
For how long this simple truth has to be repeated?
From what experience this slow/fast measurement came from? Even negotiations with defenders willing to surrender without fight take days.
As old Jedi would say: “The MSM-force have a strong influence on the weak-minded.”
Very realistic analysis. Most Russians think likewise. Thanks.
Yes i think u hit the nail on the head with your analyse.

Somehow, I doubt that the Russian (or Chinese) leadership–who have devoted their entire adult lives to foreign policy and military affairs–listen to the concern trolls, drama queens, and even sixth columnists who are now crawling out of the woodwork to generously share their military and geopolitical “advice” through the interwebs.
If anybody should shut the f@ck up, it’s these armchair generals and concern trolls.
@xvfsb
The objective of the ‘armchair generals’ and ‘concern trolls’ is not to sway the thoughts of the Russian and Chinese leadership but to sow doubts and demoralize supporters of Russia (and China). With the aim of reducing the support/trust(or even incite hostility) of Russians and Chinese have towards their current leadership.
Most civilian supporters of Russia and China do have their own views on geopolitics and military, amateurish as they may be. Part of their support for Russia and China comes from their limited geopolitical and military understanding. This is the target of these trolls /6th columnist. It is psychological warfare. Admittedly it works for those of us who have a more ‘hardline’ view(like myself) on how Russia and China should deal with Ukraine/West.
@nightvision Russian Spetsnaz force ambushed some Ukrops near Kharkov with very disturbing results which I won’t post (if anyone is interested I can maybe show you where to find it) – yes, please.
I wonder if these Ukrops were at all associated with the ones who tortured and executed the Russian POW’.s? I know some were caught but not all.
Speaking of Kharkov, Almost since the beginning of operations, Russia has been pounding it pretty hard. Doesn’t anyone have idea the amount of forces Ukraine has defending it? Perhaps it has become weakened to the point where Russia might consider an assault? Not right now of course, but after Phase 2.

First, with regard to sanctions, there was near unanimity among the panelists that it is time for Russia to respond directly and strongly to the full economic and hybrid war that the United States and Europe are now waging against their country. They call for an immediate cut-off of gas supplies to Europe, to an embargo on export of titanium and other essential raw materials for advanced industrial production in the West. One alternative to these cruel and devastating moves against Europe would be to try it all out first on Japan, which has been a fervent enforcer of the trade war on Russia and even in the past few days publicly came out in support of the Azov ultranationalists, by removing them from the list of global terrorists. Russia should impose a total commercial embargo on Japan, beginning with hydrocarbons and extending into all spheres, such as fishing concessions. Moreover, Russia should position tactical nuclear weapons and other significant armaments on the Kurile Islands as a firm reminder of who owns these territories now and forever.

At a point yet to be determined Russia flexes her full strength against NATO. My observation which few can accept is this flexing is intended to destroy NATO and is helped by the WEF. The WEF can exercise control over global resources when all other major players are sidelined. The BRIC nations are easier to control than the unruly West, Over 100 years -2020-2120-the WEF NWO can be the foundation for Solar System resource exploitation.

The US Navy started building warships with aluminum towers to minimize weight. But if there is a fire, the melting point of aluminum is so low that it collapses. Once that happens, the weight is thrown askew and it greatly increases the likelihood of listing, rolling, and swamping.
I haven’t seen any photos of the damage on the Moscow before it sank. But if it had a serious fire as was reported, they were lucky it stayed afloat as long as it did. I hope no sailors were killed by the sinking.
You’ve seen the analyses of the British destroyer HMS Sheffiels which suffered an Exocet missile strike during the great Falklands pecker check, I take it?

We should not forget that Ukrainian side has full benefits of NATO intelligence and observation arm (satellites, drones, planes, electronic surveillance). Russia will not attack NATO first. These assets are of big value to Ukrainian efforts.
I don’t understand why Russia doesn’t use its much-vaunted EW against this NATO help. I thought they had the ability to shut them down.
My understanding of EW is that if used it can be studied by the enemy. I think the Russians have a big EW surprise that they are keeping secret until the main event.

W kolejce, autonomiczne roboty bojowe wyprą z pola walki piechotę i czołgi.
Strata dużego okrętu da dużo do myslenia planistom z Chin, Indii, USA.
Skoro stare pociski mogą tyle, to co z nowymi, naddźwiękowymi, w przypadku konfrontacji z flotą lotniskowców?

The conclusions from the sinking of the “Moskva” are simple.
The era of large surface ships has passed, as has the era of battleships.
The era of anti-ship missiles, much cheaper than ships, is coming.
The same awaits manned aviation.
In line, autonomous combat robots will displace infantry and tanks from the battlefield.
The loss of a large ship will give much food for thought to the planners of China, India, and the US.
If old missiles can do so much, what about new, supersonic ones, in case of confrontation with a fleet of aircraft carriers?

I am concerned about the downplaying of the active involvement of NATO /US in the conflict by analysts/commentators.
…it’s fairly simple: acknowledgement equals nuclear war. nato/uzreal has nothing left, it’s done, & will w/o hesitation take the world down with it. it really is that bankrupt, it has neither morality nor conscience, if it cannot own the world then there shall be no world. with that in mind, each & every day we ought to thank putin/russia/xi/china/iran & syria/assad for their sanity & desire to deliver a world where people matter more than the elite & their monied power.
Battleships are a thing of the past. In modern warfare they are nothing but floating coffins. The cruise missiles these days are unstoppable. Wast of money and materials.

instead of permanently underrating or ignoring own failures, the russian military should finally switch to a full mode war. The more time passes by the more they will suffer of lack of explanations. they cant hide anymore the fact that Putins “gentleman jesus loves you all special operation” is very doubtful.
In the worst case scenario Russian army will shoot themselves in the foot if they are unable to switch finally in full war modus

From this morning’s Russian MOD briefing:
– The Illich Steel and Iron Works in Mariupol are under full Russian control (i.e. the northern pocket in Mariupol has been fully liquidated)
– A Ukrainian Su-27 has been shot down in Kharkov oblast
– On the Izyum front in Kharkov oblast, a detachment of up to 30 mercenaries from a Polish PMC was liquidated
– One of the Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopters that attacked civilians in Bryansk oblast was shot down by an S-400 in Chernigov oblast
– The number and scale of missile attacks on facilities in Kiev will increase in response to Kiev forces committing sabotage on Russian territory
– As a result of the strike on the Zhulyansk Machine-Building Plant “Vizar” the production and repair shops of SAMs and anti-ship missiles were destroyed

The reports coming out from Luganskand Mariupol are characteristic of Cauldrons – some crazed holdout deadenders, desperate breakout attempts with 50% KIA, surrenders increasing in volume.
Note – the Lugansk surrenders are taking place BEFORE the RF forces are in place locking the cauldron shut. The Cauldron battle has not began.

One always leaves a foe the grace to exit on their own…. some unfortunately are gluttons for punishment…likely some form of dropped baby syndrome, cognitive impairments, suffered before or shortly after birth….hmm, do doctors drink?
Regardless of cauldron lids, it has been raining lead on those ‘entrenched Ukies’ for weeks…..talk about digging your own grave.

Re: NATO build up in West Ukraine ?
No source just reading the tea leaves. We already know NATO is heavily involved. We also know that Washington is perfectly content fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian. From this follows some educated guesswork – Namely NATO wants this war to go on for as long as possible; 2-4 years at least.
So….build up a big Army for a massive counter offensive to take place in Sping 2023. The NATO units won‘t be front line grunts. that’s for the Ukie’s and some other fools.
It gnaws at one’s patience to watch the measured pace of the Russian operation. However, every weapon that NATO feeds into the Ukrainian ‘pit of no return’, is one less that is available for NATO forces to use. Already NATO’s stocks of weaponry have been seriously drawn down and some NATO countries are starting to balk at continuing to waste military resources on what is increasingly a lost cause.
The loss of the cruiser Moskva, while serious, does not change the ultimate outcome of this war.
Ultimately, this is a war between Russia, plus its allies and the United States and its vassals. The United States has already lost, they just don’t realize it yet.
Greece is going to stop sending weapons to Ukraine because it is worried about its own protection against Turkey:
Greek Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos said that his country would no longer supply weapons to Ukraine, because. continued shipments of large quantities of weapons will undermine the defense of Greece, especially on the islands (where there is a constant threat of aggression from NATO ally Turkey).
Earlier, Greece sent Ukraine 2 transport aircraft C-130 aircraft with military assistance, incl. with Kalashnikov assault rifles and MANPADS, which intensified the internal confrontation in the country.
Is it technically possible if weather conditions are right to send a laser beam from a satellite to ignite a fire on a ship ? Can it have enough energy and last sufficiently short time to avoid detection ? Sorry about my ignorance.
Very unlikely. LASERs work best in vacuum. Dense sea level air is not good for beam.
High energy LASER strike on a metal bject immediately creates a cloud of vaporized target surface, effectively reflecting or diffusing the LASER beam.
That Russian ship probably hit a mine.
Are you reading GPF (George Friedman) every now and then? Looking into his crystal ball a several days ago he saw a few Buchas in the near fucha: “The publics of most NATO countries oppose intervention, but it only takes a few Buchas to change their attitudes. And the U.S. itself is never far away.”

And even more: He’s impatiently awaiting or better suggesting a kind of “Lusitania”-event:
“Russia cannot impose equivalent sanctions, nor can it gin up public sympathy for Russia. This leaves it only one option: to threaten Western economies by threatening the trading system.
This requires a military solution. Russia has over 20 Kilo-class submarines, diesel-powered subs that lack the range and endurance of nuclear-powered submarines but are nonetheless able to carry both torpedoes and cruise missiles, which means they launch from a distance. There is a range of chokepoints that are critical to the West – the Denmark Strait, the Strait of Gibraltar and the Gulf of Mexico are just a few. A demonstration shot would shut down trade and send insurance rates surging, while navies try to determine the extent of the deployment and target. The goal of the Russians would be to demonstrate presence, break contact and evade. The uncertainty would threaten trade.
Of course, this would be the ultimate Hail Mary…”
Hail Mary? What kind of Hail Mary, the eastern or the papal version? I don’t know, what kind of believer Forecaster-King George is. Probalby just a Zionist or a New-American-Centurist.
There are two versions of the “Ave Maria”.
The eastern version, according to Luke 1,28:
Θεοτόκε Παρθένε, χαῖρε,
κεχαριτωμένη Μαρία, ὁ Κύριος μετὰ σοῦ.
εὐλογημένη σὺ ἐν γυναιξί,
καὶ εὐλογημένος ὁ καρπὸς τῆς κοιλίας σου,
ὅτι Σωτῆρα ἔτεκες τῶν ψυχῶν ἡμῶν.
The western (Roman-catholic, papal version):
Ave Maria, gratia plena,
Dominus tecum.
Benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus.
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus
nunc et in hora mortis nostrae.
Someone added a second part about “our hour of death“.
It was Pius V., inquisitor general, before he became Pope.
As Pius V, he personally attended all sessions of the Roman inquisition. According to Norwich, Ghislieri often stayed to watch as supposed lawbreakers and heretics were tortured. (Norwich, John Julius (2011). Absolute Monarchs. New York: Random House. pp. 319–320.)
As a Pope he ordered the mass killings of the ‘Waldenser’ in Italy, mostly in Piemont and in Calabria. In Guardia Piemontese in Calabria about 2000 Valdese were masSACRED. Today vou can still see the “Porta del sangue“ (the blood gate).
Their descendants were fighting the Mussolini-fascists: “I valdesi sono tutti ribelli!“
El Greco and Scipione Pulzone in a double sense caught Pius V. in their paintings, portraying him as an evil-looking, cunning, always morally superior man.
So much about the east-west divide and the ridiculous papal consecrationalists, referring to the Fridays-For-Fatima kids and surviving sister Lúcias Russia-hating secrets:
1941 she wrote down her memories of the 1917 ‘apparition’-bogus:
„To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the communion of reparation on the first Saturdays. If they listen to my requests, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not she will scatter her errors through the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.“
1941? Nazi-Germany started ‘Operation Barbarossa’ on June 22nd and invaded Russia, causing the death of more than 20 million Russians. But Russias errors scatter through the world, Russia martyred the good, Russia annihilated nations.
And this woman, blind Lúcia, pretended to have Mary, God and Jesus on her side. No wonder that John Paul II and sister Lúcia had a special relationship, just like Maggy Thatcher and Old Burning Bush, united in hate.
Interesting comment picked from Moonofalabama:
Another realistic Russian ex-mil. opinion on the post-“Moscow” situation, https://t.me/mig41/16459, (Yandex translation):
[Forwarded from A spy to whom no one writes]
Missile defeat of the cruiser “Moscow” opens a new stage of hostilities in Ukraine
The priority direction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the support of NATO is the South of Ukraine in the direction of Crimea and Donbass
The situation around the attack on the cruiser “Moscow” has two dimensions:
military–technical and public–media.
The military–technical part of this situation was described most fully (https://t.me/atomiccherry/429 ) the author of the Atomic Cherry channel, I recommend reading, a bright and deep mind that rarely makes mistakes in estimates.
I can add to the above only the unpreparedness of the Russian fleet for the active actions of the AFU, which lies in the weak intelligence and analytical capabilities of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet and the Navy of Russia.
After 50 days of the operation, from which half of the time we observe the increasing scale and pace of enemy activity, there is no reflection.
Once again, we are faced with a critical underestimation of the capabilities of the APU.
The cruiser had no cover and acted alone, which is already quite a dangerous occupation.
So far, everything suggests that the ship was hit during a combined attack involving a UAV and the Ukrainian Neptune missile defense system with direct support from NATO (primarily in reconnaissance and targeting).
It is difficult to say what chances the ship had without cover with outdated radar and air defense in such conditions.
In the general picture of what happened , two points are of interest:
1. Did NATO reconnaissance aircraft take part (https://t.me/atomiccherry/430 )in the continuous illumination of the target, or only gave the exact coordinates.
The first option already speaks of the direct participation of the British Air Force in a military operation against the missile cruiser “Moscow”.
2. Whether the Turkish Bayraktar UAVs were used in the attack on the ship. It may also dramatically lower the degree of Turkey’s relations with Russia.
Once again, we have received a painful lesson in competent and clear planning of the operation, unified and effective management of forces and means, which is critically lacking in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The media and public reflection is extremely surprising.
The media are trying to explain Ukraine’s success with some kind of NATO miracle weapon, missiles that were able to magically hit the ship.
This cargo cult, the magical perception of war, takes society even further away from reality.
Russia has suffered a serious symbolic and military defeat.
And if the loss of the first large ship (BDK, in Berdyansk) could be written off as an accident, then the loss of the second is already a pattern that speaks of a dangerous underestimation of the enemy.
What conclusions and forecasts can we come to at the moment:
1. The naval blockade of Ukrainian ports is under threat. The Black Sea Fleet, due to its small size, cannot continue to lose (surface) ships.
We need to look for other means to keep the coast and Ukrainian ports under control.
2. Attacks on the Black Sea Fleet will continue, primarily by the forces of the NSM PKR, whose range (up to 200 km) allows hitting ships of the Black Sea Fleet almost throughout the Black Sea, including the coast of Crimea.
The Black Sea Fleet will be squeezed out of the Black Sea to the coast of the peninsula.
3. The main direction of the APU offensive is the South of Ukraine – Kherson and Mykolaiv region.
Britain has repeatedly made it clear that the Black Sea ports of Ukraine, primarily Odessa, have strategic value for them.
Donbass is also being strengthened as an instrument of depletion of Russian and allied forces. The AFU grouping, which has been strengthening for seven years, is far from exhaustion.
4. The second center of forces is the Dnipropetrovsk region, as the political center of the South, which connects all the surrounding regions.
5. Crimea becomes a priority target of the AFU and NATO operations. This confirms the Pentagon’s “bold” statement that the United States will provide Kiev with intelligence information on targets in the Crimea and Donbas.
Not only the Black Sea Fleet will be hit, but also the objects and forces of the Crimean ground group.
It is critically important for the AFU to paralyze the logistics and replenishment of the “southern” grouping of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation operating from Kherson. @genshab
So my prediction from the other thread looks to be right after all.
In the case of a ship, there is always the risk of it sinking either in times of peace or war, and as in this case of the Russian combat ship, the possibilities were at the highest limit of suffering a mishap when being in a war zone. Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported during the loss of this cruiser, which is already tremendous news that in other times of war, the sailors of some cruisers did not have this luck like the crew of HMS Hood, once the pride of the navy. British, the Yamato and the Musashi proud of the Japanese imperial navy, the Bismark and the penultimate, the Argentine General Belgrano. Today it was the turn of the Moskva, but if the collision course continues we will soon see some “flat decks” or other important ships belonging to NATO submerging, the flags of their owners still to be defined.
There is some talk here that this, the Moskva, is a massive blow to Russia.
More like a dent to the ego. Then one puts it into perspective and moves on.
Imagine USA-NATO Globohomo Navies resting at the bottom of the Caspian-Mediterranian by Russian anti-ship missiles if they were to get directly involved?
alright already—as many here have said…in war shit happens! so russia lost a beloved ship…why aren’t you bemoaning nato’s loss of a centre the first day? all gone–@ the time i was gobsmacked & yet not a mention anywhere on msm. funny that. lots of nato stuff disguised as ukie arsenal blown, yet no weeping & wringing of hands for the empire? hum.
How would a NATO/US ship end up at the bottom of Caspian? That would be quite some feat.

Things don’t add up.It is no longer an operation. It is total long war as the USA wants. Was it really foreseen?
Today a Russian servicemen displayed the passport of a mercenary from the US who was killed in Mariupol. I did a little digging.
About 3 weeks ago, Newspapers articles in MSM (Washington Post, NY Post) detailed the story of one Cesar Quintana going to Mariupol to get his son after his wife (allegedly) abducted him in December, took him to Mariupol and then (allegedly) to Russia.
Passport: Same name, identical appearance.
This will make news. Obviously he may have made a bad decision.
Not sure if rules allow the source, but it’s a well-known telegram site.
