Return of the Magyar: Orban is the bad boy of the EU again because Hungary’s national gas utility won’t reverse flows to Ukraine according to ‘European Commission agreements’. Orban says he won’t risk Hungary’s supplies being cut off by Gazprom over reverse flows Gazprom insists are illegal and contrary to contracts with each EU country customer:

I know asiatimes is censored. They are operating under a regime where they are not permitted to even mention certain things and events. Thats the nature of the beast. So for local news its not good but for the rest of the world as long as the family is not involved its as free as can be. Although they also sometimes publish reporters which are biased and include propaganda that is very rare. Most of their stuff is actually pretty good analysis and I started reading them just for Pepe! It was the only place where he was allowed to publish when everyone else was scared of getting droned.

But the main thing is, since they can not publish anything locally, what they do publish has to interest those outside the region and hence thats how they survive. If they did publish crap people would not go back. It was one of the very outlets that let us know how the Iraq invasion was proceeding.

At least Pepe can make light of this new reality because my head hurts..

Too messy? No problem; when in doubt, bomb everybody.

Orban is beginning to sound a Turanianist which I thought was Jobbik’s ideology. I don’t know if it is tactical or strategic for Orban.

Anyway recently both B. Clinton and Obama have made a public note of Orban’s sins against “interdependence”, so Hungary may have made the regime change short list.

I just googled for the confernece, but find only a few short mentions of it, or the speech such as http://en.ria.ru/world/20140926/193306170/Lavrov-Assures-Iraqi-Prime-Minister-of-Russias-Readiness-to.html

No one recorded it or made a transcript? Reporters only reporting a brief comment from it?

Is the word out to ignore it, as so many other things are ignored by the press?

WOWZA! PCR rips into everyone here.
I agree with him to an extent. Although I don’t think you can appease the Empire like Putin is trying to do and still maintain relations with Europe. I don’t think any of it will work. An empire in decline will take everyone down with it. The question is, how many will it take down with it. Sometimes the only good tool to get rid of an infected septic tooth is a pliers. But if you keep playing with it with the pliers, sooner or later the next best tool would be a gun to shoot of that tooth since nothing else could do it fast enough. And that is what China and Russia are doing currently, they are eating a lot of Demerol and pulling on the bad tooth. All that does it cause pain and the result might be a mad dog foaming at the mouth. A single shot although might hurt and leave a huge hole in your face would fix the problem. So you do have to make sure you are married first. Because good luck trying to get someone with a hole in your face to marry you.

Will Russia and China Hold Their Fire Until War Is the Only Alternative? — Paul Craig Roberts

    Alien Tech:

You got here first! Absolutely! Was just reading the PCR piece and came online to post the link. Wow. I call this a must-read for all of those here who debate the “Putin’s restraint” issue. Granted, the “restraint” issue is most often discussed here in terms of UKR; PCR seems to think that even in the “long game” context, Putin is not doing what needs to be done.
PCR totally ridicules BO’s UNO speech but goes on to say: How come he is allowed to get away with this total BS and outright lies? Speaking for myself, every time a lie goes unchallenged my heart sinks a bit more. Silence = consent. Anyhow,
Here are a few grafs (I would reprint the whole thing here but I think that is illegal):
“. . . In his speech, Obama told Russia and China that they can be part of Washington’s world order on the condition that they accept Washington’s hegemony and do not interfere in any way with Washington’s control. When Obama tells Russia that the US will cooperate with Russia “if Russia changes course,” Obama means that Moscow must accept the primacy of Washington’s interest over Russia’s own interest.

Clearly, this is an inflexible and unrealistic position. If Washington keeps to it, war with Russia and China will ensue.

Obama told China that Washington intended to continue to be a Pacific power in China’s sphere of influence, “promoting peace, stability, and the free flow of commerce among nations” by building new US air and naval bases from the Philippines to Vietnam so that Washington can control the flow of resources in the South China Sea and cut off China at will.

***As far as I can tell, neither the Russian nor Chinese governments understand the seriousness of the threat that Washington represents. Washington’s claim to world hegemony seems too farfetched to Russia and China to be real. But it is very real.

By refusing to take the threat seriously, Russia and China have not responded in ways that would bring an end to the threat without the necessity of war.****

For example, the Russian government could most likely destroy NATO by responding to sanctions imposed by Washington and the EU by informing European governments that Russia does not sell natural gas to members of NATO. Instead of using this power, Russia has foolishly allowed the EU to accumulate record amounts of stored natural gas to see homes and industry through the coming winter.

Has Russia sold out its national interests for money? . . .”

    Part 1

    On another thread Anonymous said:

Without actual independence, Kiev has the absolute right, under International Law, to place federal forces throughout Novorussia- and no ‘treaty’ or agreement of ‘devolved’ powers can halt this. … Kiev can, under international law, seek any amount of external military assistance to help fight internal enemies. No ‘treaty’ can prevent this either.

As long as ‘International Law’ is respected by all parties, this seems to be true, and bodes ill for NR and for Russia, which so far has promoted respect for it, despite the US’s flouting of it (e.g., Maidan and bombing Syria). In retrospect it seems that Russia’s fundamental mistake was to recognize Poroshenko’s ‘election’ (on May 25) as President of Ukraine as legitimate, thereby accepting (or appearing to accept) that there is still such a thing as a legitimate Ukrainian government, and that NR is legally within its territory. As Anonymous pointed out, under ‘International Law’ this so-called government can (when it has sufficient military power, with the help of US/NATO forces) resume the attempt to crush the NR Resistance, and either succeed in doing so or succeed in drawing Russia into a major war.

In May Putin and Lavrov apparently decided that the ‘best’ path to take was to ignore the fact that there was a putsch in Kiev in February and recognize Poroshenko’s election as ‘legitimate’ so that they would have someone to negotiate with, and they were hoping that negotiation would result in an independent Ukraine (with its former territory intact, minus Crimea) as a buffer state between the EU and Russia, and with no NATO bases. It seems that they failed to recognize (but how could that be?) that Poroshenko would likely be controlled by the US, and that the US was intent on using the Ukraine (such as it was) as a means to destroy, or at least to subjugate, Russia. And that US program appears to be on track, just delayed somewhat.

In hindsight we might say that what Russia should have done in April/May was to declare to the world that the legitimate government of the Ukraine (under Yanukovitch) was illegally removed by a violent putsch in February, and that as a consequence there was from that time on NO legitimate Ukrainian government. Thus all so-called legislation by the Rada was illegitimate and the thugs in Kiev had no right to wage war on Novorussiya, whose inhabitants were not ‘rebels’ or ‘separatists’ because there was NO legitimate government in Kiev for them to rebel against or to seek separation from. The Novorussians were being attacked (brutally) by military forces which had no authority to do so. Consequently, in accord with a ‘responsibility to protect’ claim which has been used by the US previously, Russia could and should have overtly attacked the invading Kiev forces (by missile and artillery attack, and by ground troops if necessary) in order to defeat their aggression.

Russia is upping its propaganda game. A large poster several storeys high has been unfurled on a building opposite the US Embassy in Moscow. It shows a large number of crosses under the text “Civilians were shot dead near Donetsk. Is this is your real democracy, Mr. Obama?”

    Part 2

Of course, as many have previously pointed out, this would have resulted in hysterical denunciation of Russia in the Western MSM, and perhaps (though not necessarily) would have driven the pusillanimous European leaders into the waiting arms of the US). But covert support of the NR Resistance resulted in hysterical denunciation of Russia in the Western MSM, so in this respect nothing was gained by Russia by refraining from overt intervention. Anti-Russian sanctions would also have resulted from overt intervention, but such sanctions have been applied anyway. The danger of a NATO/Russian war would have been greatly increased, but such decisive military action on the part of Russia would have caused the NATO commanders to think very deeply as to whether that was a war that they could win (and they would conclude that it was not). And if, due to the psychopathic insanity of the Neo-cons in Washington, such a war occurred, it might well be better that it occurred now than a year or so down the road.

Of course, these remarks are made without any knowledge of what Putin and Lavrov (and others in the Russian government) were thinking in May, and why they acted as they did (i.e., to support NR covertly while seeking a negotiated settlement with a putatively ‘legitimate’ government in Kiev). But in hindsight I suggest that the path they took (i.e., recognizing the US-controlled thugs in Kiev as a ‘legitimate’ government of ‘Ukraine’) was a mistake.

But what to do now? Specifically, how to avoid the danger that Anonymous pointed out, namely, that it is just a matter of time before Kiev/NATO has built up sufficient military force to crush the NR Resistance (and possibly retake Crimea)? Diplomacy and negotiation are useless in dealing with the psychopaths in Washington. The Empire acknowledges only military force (or the threat of it). The Empire pays lip service to ‘International Law’ but in practice does not abide by it. So I think it’s time for Russia to abandon its faith in ‘International Law’, and, to ensure its survival, demonstrate a sufficient level of military capability, resolve and intent so as to convince the Empire that carrying out its plans to control all countries in the world, and thus their mineral and energy sources (which is its ultimate aim), is suicidal.

If Putin is Atlanticist then the former Soviet defectors discussing a long range plan to have the West integrated into a communist world with Russia and China are on the money.

When KGB Major Anatoliy Golitsyn defected to the United States in 1961, he brought a message that was most unwelcome. Not only did he prove the existence of large networks of Soviet spies operating in all Western intelligence agencies, but he also showed that the Soviets were using our own intelligence apparatus against us. While the CIA and other services were chasing after Soviet state secrets, the KGB was carefully leaking “secrets” that were carefully concocted disinformation. According to Golitsyn, the Communists placed higher priority on deceiving the West into gradual surrender than on protecting their own secrets. In other words, the Soviets were not playing the “Cold War game”; they were fighting to win.

To carry out a successful long-term deception, as Golitsyn explained, the Soviets had to restructure the KGB itself. After all, any disinformation scheme would inevitably be exposed through the very process of delivering the deception. A percentage of those KGB agents in contact with Western agents would defect or otherwise betray the plan. To prevent this from happening, the Soviets had to make sure that only a tiny core of personnel — those not in contact with the West — would actually know the plan. The rest of the KGB would implement the strategy without understanding it.

Dear g-d Yes. Let the Empire start overt regime change operations against Orban. I can’t wait for the backlash.

Hungarians will not tolerate the cynical interference. After that central European dominos will begin to fall.

Orban is moving right to dissuade the Jobbik regime change machine. He preceives the threat but considering he just won re election in a landslide (April 2014), it can’t be from the electorate. With his coalition partner Orban already commands a 2/3rds super majority.

The Empire hates defiance. I makes them go stark raving mad. A little more overreach is just what the doctor ordered.

@Alien Tech and the troll support army

Sorry to burst your bubble pal-io but Pepe is an alternative media ‘asset’ of the CIA.

Interview 879 – Pepe Escobar Breaks Down China’s Uyghur Problem

    http://www.corbettreport.com/interview-879-pepe-escobar-breaks-down-chinas-uyghur-problem/

Pepe fits in nicely with the folks at Asia Times including rabid Ashkenazi supremacist/advocate of genocide Spengler. In this interview Pepe explains that the Uighur uprisings have nothing to do with Western regime change operations. Listen carefully, Pepe is slick.

And now he is caught with his hand in the AZ cookie jar.

Here Pepe is getting help from another AZ asset, James Corbett, as together they run cover for the Empire during a very critical moment in the information war against Russia (May 2014). Also check out some of Corbett’s other fine work in support of the junta in Kiev, especially at the height of the crisis and immediately following the Kolomoisky initiated massacre in Oddessa.

And Corbett seems like such a nice guy. It breaks your heart — and makes you feel stupid, to find out he’s been manipulating you all along. Beware of even GlobalResearch.ca, where Corbett first got his start. Smart people must be coralled and redirected just as are the less discerning masses. The Deep State has a channel for everyone — whoopie!

Getting back to Pepe and his fellow disinformation minions, according to Thierry Meyssan (possibly a French or Israeli asset), Uighurs and Chechens are replacing Mahgreb Arab leaders in all senior positions within the so-called caliphate. Yes Sir, the ISIS machine will soon be turned on Russia and China.

Who Makes Up the “Islamic Emirate”?

    http://www.voltairenet.org/article185364.html

The alternative media is filled to the brim with (seemingly honest) tellers of half-trurhs. Pepe Escobar and James Corbett are not on your side. I know this will frustrate and dissappoint many of you but you can’t give up now. The fact that you’ve found and spend time at Saker blog demonstrates your instincts are good.

Learn to spot these very effective fraudsters if you ever hope to escape the alternative media hall of mirrors.

Also learn to spot the trolls (Alien Tech) who push these carefully calibrated messages and note the supporting trolls (Katherine) who quickly chime in with an encouraging message.

Please everyone read my message above to Alien Tech and his fellow trolls.

You will almost never be wrong by assuming everything you read, including alternative news sources, is calculated disinformation. When you see a contradiction you must make a note to yourself and do your future reading in respect of the possibility you are being manipulated.

  27. Anonymous on September 27, 2014  ·  at 6:08 pm EST/EDT

    @Where-Wolf said…

Very concise and important points to ponder for all to consider.

The primary facts that need to be seriously addressed are the facts that comprise the ever popular dis-info agents and the way they are marketed to the various targeted demographics.

In other words, look not into the “topics” they claim to investigate and disseminate as truth. Look into what they do not investigate or reveal for the truth. Surely this is a daunting task for anyone but it is the only path to take. These dis-info agents are the primary tools of mass deception and their “job” is to divide and conquer anyone and everyone simultaneously. Never forget their past revelations and how they tie into their present contradictions.

This is why so many seekers of facts, truth and reconciliation are not embraced by those that “claim” to be authorities and instead are ignored, discounted and discredited once they point out the contradictions that lie within the narrative and the hidden agendas of the cults that follow them.

In other words, look not into the “topics” they claim to investigate and disseminate as truth. Look into what they do not investigate or reveal for the truth.

Here here. What is avoided is most important. Corbett went AWOL on Russia, came back with a rabid pro junta podcast, earned himself a shit storm, then tried to correct by interviewing Rick Rozoff of Stop NATO fame. All he managed to accomplish, to my way of thinking, was to cast doubt on Rozoff’s credibility.

I see you’ve done some good work at DumpHarper.ca. Unfortunately, one of your alliance partners (accessed via prominently displayed logo of The Internet Defense League, top right) is directly controlled by Canadian telecos. Open Media, with which I’ve had experience when they challended Vic Toews law (either your with us or you’re with the paedophiles), is strictly a P.R. scam/ controlled opposition. They went so far as to transfer my personal information (name, email) to the Right Dishonourable Tony Clement. OpenMedia consistently avoids the most important issues concerning the enveloping Canadian security state. They are not to be trusted.

Reddit is another partner of yours I know not to trust. The fiasco sorrounding Aaron Schwartz (likely suicided) and the subsequent changes and manipulations I have been personally been subject to indicate they are also not what they seem to be. Their site is a 100% intel operation.

Please make note. I do not trust anyone associated with OpenMedia.ca. I have waited till now to make this comment so as to not tarnish your reputation or discourage you. I say it only to make you aware.
