Dear friends,
I was hoping to be able to put off this post, in fact I did begin and then sent it to trash it several times. But now things are getting critical. I need your help or something will have to change, and not for the better. Let me explain:
You must have noticed that even though the blog is full of features, everything loads really well and really fast (including the bandwidth-heavy media sections). What you do not know, is that for security reasons we also have another server with a full backup. So what we are providing is convenience (speed) and service (minimal downtime). However, this does come at a very real cost. So, after giving it a lot of thought, I decided to share these figure with you, so you know what I am talking about. Here are our basic IT costs:
Hivelocity for 6 Saker blogs: | $138.00 a month |
Hivelocity for HOP Project: | $ 89.00 a month |
Advania Backup server | $ 67.00 a month: (381 Euros for 6 months) |
Amazon Web Services cloudfront | $108.00 a month |
Google could storage | $09.00 a month |
TOTAL: | $411.00 a month |
YEARLY TOTAL: $4932
Add to this the expense of keeping an Limited Liability Company (needed for legal reasons):
Company hosting: | $115.00 a month or $1380 a year |
Registering agent: | $656.00 a year |
YEARLY TOTAL: $5703
In the past I had a kind supporter pay for the IT costs. He has now retired and moved and now I have to shoulder this heavy burden myself.
In other words, even before paying my own bills, I now have to pay over 10’000 dollars out of pocket just to cover these basic fixed costs. To this I could add somewhere in between $4’000 and $5’000 which I pay to some members of our community (to help them pay for their own bills). In other words, my strictly personal costs begin with something in the range of $15’000.
I also feel that I need to clarify and remind you all of three basic facts:
- I get no money from Russia, or Iran, or any other country or government or political movement (I wish I did! I would love to be a “paid Putin agent”. But I don’t).
- if I wanted to make money, I could *easily* make much more money doing something else (like working for the Dark Side).
- if I did that for the money I could easily monetize this blog with advertisements, paywalls, member-only features, etc.
But now I also need to confess something: I am IMMENSELY frustrated by the lack of support I get. Let me be blunt: if it was not for the regular help of two, yes only two, supporters I could never afford to keep up this blog. Honestly, I think I provide an absolutely unique product (a blog with original analyses, not “recycled” like on news aggregators) with no commercial compromises (no ads). And I do that while paying for well over 10’000 dollars a year of out of my own (already pretty empty) pockets. The readership is constantly growing and yet the donations are down. Which means that the vast majority of readers don’t contribute anything. So yeah, I am having a very hard time and I need your help. Badly!
We are in an “information war”, you know that, and I have already written many times in the past that the “ammunition” of this war is money. I hate it, you hate it, but that this a simple fact which cannot be denied away. Please don’t send me into battle with an empty gun!
Now, I know that most of you are also barely making ends meet. This is why I am not, repeat, NOT asking those whose means are limited to send me more money. Say a prayer for me and consider that you have made your donation and I will be immensely grateful to you. Another way of helping me would be to volunteer as a moderator: we are in dire need of more moderators. Right now, we don’t have enough moderators to cover all the time slots, so if you can help us with this, even for a few hours each week, please contact the chief moderator at this email address: vineyard.mod_hs@unseen.is
But I also know that some of you are well-off and a few even very well-off. So my appeal is primarily to you: if you are really opposed to the AngloZionist Empire then do something about it and help me fight on your behalf! Send me the “ammo” needed to at least pay for my costs and even do better. You simply cannot expect me to work 3-5 hours a day (after I am done with my regular full-time job) and spend thousands of dollars out of pocket on pure enthusiasm and idealism. Eventually something will have to give: either you, or the blog.
As far as I can see everybody else has either put up a paywall or placed advertisements on their websites/blogs. I will never do that, on principle (even though I get regular offers and advice to do just that). But unless I get the kind of help I need I will start cutting costs and reduce the time I allocate to this blog. It would break my heart, but I have bills to pay.
Out of sheer despair, I want to make three suggestions (not sure how good or realistic they are).
- If you also have a hard time making ends meet, maybe you know somebody who has an easier time: could you try to approach this person (or corporation) and see if they would be willing to step in and help? Surely you must know of somebody who has the mean to help and the desire to do so?
- Maybe you can organize some kind of fund raiser amongst your friends, colleagues or family?
- Third, if you have experience in fund-raising (which, as you can tell, I clearly don’t) you could volunteer you expertise to help me? You can tell by my post today that I am a total incompetent amateur and have no idea how to finance a project like mine. Your help could therefore be priceless.
These are just desperate ideas about how a large community like the Saker Community could help. So far, every time I needed help the Community delivered it. I really hope that this will happen again this time around.
I want to end this post with a special to Russian people, especially religious ones: you all know about the Orthodox desiatina or the Islamic zakat. Now, I am not claiming that this blog is a religious institution – it is not – but it is a place where spirituality and religion are not only tolerated or accepted, but truly respected and pro-actively promoted. And this blog most evidently and undeniably is at the forefront of the battle to explain Russia and the Russian policies to the rest of the world. Then how is it that I get NO help from Russia, none at all?! Look at the cost of the average office party in Moscow and explain to me, and to yourself, whether that money is better spend on vodka with zakuski than on defending Russia?
To those who will call me naive I will simply say this: I make no apologies for being naive. All my life, I have always privileged the naive, romantic and pure over the pragmatic, compromising and cynical. I have never regretted it. Not once. There are those who will laugh at my naive attempts to raise money by being simply honest and direct about it, and that’s fine. Let them keep their advertisements and their paywalls. I rather remain penniless and idealistic than join those who accepted the rules of the capitalist market game.
The way I see this is extremely simple: funding this blog should not be my problem. It should be our community’s problem. After all, this blog serves the community, not me.
You tell me – am I right?
Right now, funding this blog has been my problem, not our community’s. How can we change that? Any ideas?
While I will carefully read your comments below (and any emails to me), I would like to make this a community discussion. By this I mean that you will discuss this issue amongst each other and that maybe some consensus will emerge as to best go ahead. Please use the comments section to exchange ideas and to brainstorm this issue.
I will end this appeal with an apology. I am sorry, very sorry, but I see no other way to raise the attention of our community than to post this appeal not in the section were it would normally belong (in the “Blog, Community News and Announcements” section down the page) but in the most visible part of the page: in the “analyses” part. And I intend to leave it there until the end of the month. My hope is that in placing this appeal in the section normally reserved for the best of what this blog has to offer I will draw your attention to the value of what you have been getting for free and with no strings or conditions attached. I hope that this will motivate you to become a much more determined supporter of my work.
In the first days of April I will come to some kind of decision and let you know. This is also when I will reply to any specific offers or suggestions. I really hope that this will leave us all enough time to find a way out.
Hugs, cheers and thanks to all,
The Saker
how about Saker T-shirts, mugs, etc,?
it would be cool waking around wearing Saker gear. :)
Please consider PaySafeCard as another option for making payments. It seems like an uncomplicated way of contributing (anonymously) – probably similar to Western Union. I’m aware that there’s no complete anonymity, but as long as someone is careful enough all the alphabet agencies have to take a guess at who’s the originator / receiver of the content that had been sent over the internet. (Am I’m the owner of the internet access or the computer that I’m using right now?)
Bank wires, Amazon gift cards and Papal need a verification of some sort. Regardless of the aspect of anonymity one should remember that Paypal and Amazon had joined in the boycott of Julian Assange. Further Amazon is operating servers for the CIA and Jeff Bezos is the owner of WaPo – the newspaper of choice when it comes to “CIA leaks”.
Using snail mail comes with the risk that the money could get stolen by employees of mail companies or by intelligence services. (According to historian Josef Foschepoth a secret agreement with the former allied occupying forces still nullify the law for mail secrecy of the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany.)
Someone said something about reducing costs…..and while I like efficiency and frugality it struck me as a great contrast to what I was thinking, namely, what tremendous “bang for the buck” Saker has achieved with this “baby” of his.
Also merchandising stuff like books is fine, I suppose, but like the Harvard recruiter that came to my school said, “We want only ‘la creme de la creme’ and A. Jones has cornered the market on Deplorable Cream Cheese anyway. (I didn’t apply. The guy was obese and of dubious “preference”…..).
I’ve been a contributor since my late twenties and raised funds too, and all I can say is that that yearly Vineyard “nut” ought to be a piece of cake, if the slackers and freeloaders would just step up to the plate and lay down a bunt or two.
$400 a year and I can actually say I am covering more than 1% of the operating budget of something this important? That is amazing, unbelievable, incredibly awesome “bang for the buck”!
I’ve been around organizations where 30K was not even one day’s quota and there were a lot of supporters doing a third of that or more, annually and some doing 6 figures individually. There ought to be 1000 here that can do 1/4 what I do. 1000 X $100 = $100,000 for Saker’s sake!
Or cut it off at 400-500. Too much is on Saker and mods and translators. Some compensation is in order. Give $100 sponsors a pin like the one to the right of the Comment box I see.
OR……Have a little international competition to get this “painful” (LOL…what a laugh!! This should be a joy!) agony over with in record time, every year around tax refund time. USA Empire team is too big and we want to be fair (and be a Republic among soverign equals!) So USA gets split into 4 time zones vs Canada, Australia, France, Germany, etc, etc
I’d volunteer to lead the charge for the Left Coast. Also, cheating should be allowed (any team member who wants can add a zero to the 100, as the finish line nears, and thereby “steal it (the first place prize……a case of Crimean wine) fair and square!” for the “home team”.
Who is the most Multi-polar of them all???
I’m already bi-polar, so I am extremely confident that the Left Coast can take that case! And then celebrate our multipli- bi-polar victory at the historic (Russian) Fort Ross near the Russian River!

Not Agony! Fun!
But in all seriousness, I second nice try’s motion.” C’mon folks, should be done in a few hours.”
yes, and dear Saker – don’t tell people to ‘stop stop stop sending money’ like the last time
Did not know how you were funded. Two levels of content should do, with Cart 66 to manage the two levels.
You should keep us apprised of all this, like quaterly.
I made a small donation of $ 10
Nowadays it is hard to find serious information like yours
Greetings from Portugal
Why not crowd fund it?
Hi,
I appreciate your predicament,
I also admire your efforts to make this project multi-lingual, I myself am limited to the English speaking world which is frustrating,
my personal predicament is: (a) being a person of modest means,
(b) casting a wide net for my reading material,
I had a look through my bookmarks at the sites I visit for analysis, opinion, suppressed or overlooked news stories, etc.
My list (excluding The Saker which is regularly visited) the order is random and indicates no preference:

as you can imagine this puts me in an awkward position when the majority of sites mentioned are crying out for support,
if Charitable Foundations such as Soros, Gates, Rothschild, Rockerfeller et al. were truly apolitical they should be disbursing proportionate sums to all organisations mentioned in the spirit of free speech, debate and democracy….. I’m not holding my breath!
if I gave a dollar a month to every site I visit it would be a major commitment,
it does occur to me that each site has it’s individual hosting and server costs to support,
these are the unavoidable and ongoing costs,
things do seem to be coming to a crisis point for the funding of non corporate websites across the independent community,
I’m wondering if a possible future is if some of the sites are able to find a way to aggregate with other sites to share the cost of supporting their platform yet retaining their individual editorial identity and integrity,
I loathe online advertising and block all third party stuff, I’m happy to see the sites own books and product advertised but shun any other ‘monetisation through advertising’
if a site doesn’t allow me to view it using an adblocker I drop the site,
paywalls for news seem to be the domain of the MSM, I subscribe to no MSM paywalls as my fiscal limitations would cause me to corralled into exposure to a very limited outlook,
sites that offer analysis and opinion of an economic and financial nature aimed at investors often have a portion available for public viewing and deeper analysis available to subscribers, this seems fair as investors are involved in economic activity and looking for an advantage, myself, not being an ‘investor’ per se, do not subscribe to these sites but view the public material,
very recently cluborlov has partially retreated behind a paywall/subscription, Dimitry must have thought long and hard about this, I pass no judgement on his decision, I merely note that he may be the first of many,
Google and Facebook, under the false flag of ‘fake news’ seem to be changing their models on how they monetise advertising, quite possibly leading to the starving of independents of revenue, this is being noticed heavily by people that use Youtube as a portal to the internet world,
if independents allow themselves to be driven behind paywalls and subscriptions to survive then this could quite possibly lead to the quelling of independent voices,
at the moment my most plausible suggestion seems to be that groups of independents of similar outlooks aggregate their sites creating ‘magazines’ in effect (is not a magasin the French for a shop where a variety of similar wares are displayed for the public to peruse?)
it is very admirable to be ‘the mouse that roared’ but when you are trying to shout down the Leviathan that the MSM has become you roar from a perilous position,
aggregating many ‘mice that roar’ into a unified voice with a common platform that spread the running costs could give birth to a new publishing house in it’s own right,
the whole thrust of neo-liberalism and neo-conservatism seems to have been to fractionise people, divide and conquer and hand the field of battle to the vast corporations,
whenever Noam Chomsky is asked ‘but what do we do next?’ his answer is always the simple response.. ‘organise’
Labour movements, Social movements, Political parties, even businesses can only grow and become significant if they draw people together and organise them,
together we stand, divided we fall,
there is no need to post this comment, it is purely a personal reflection that your piece inspired and I wanted to share with you, make of it what you will,
yours respectfully,
Matt
Nice list. Great minds think alike. Throw another on there though. Stephen Cohen (The Nation)
You should set up a pateon account, promote it and use it as your primary means of fundraising. Others I’ve seen have found it very effective. I like how I can manage my support to multiple creators that way.
And I agree with the $1 per month comment. That’s how much I send per patreon creator I support. That’s the equivalent of a legacy magazine subscription.
When my ship comes in Saker you will be rewarded and not forgotten.
I am grateful for this site and for your amazing work. Prayers from me for all of this.
I salute your bravery with your excellent site, but think a paywall would put many off.
Although your not doing anything illegal, subscribers might think rightly or wrongly there`re going to get on some sort of watch list, no one knows just how far things will go in the future.
Every day they are clamping down on news & anything is possible.
Privyet Saker,
Add products menu on your sites and start doing some trade (Prophets did trade too) sell souvenirs related with orthodox christianity, Russian culture or even souvenirs related to Anglo Zionist Mother*******.
Experiment with Adsense if you do it properly you dont get too much garbage on your pages…how about starting with one Ad. Its free money and boggles my mind how it anyway hinders your struggle!
With so much following online is anyones dream these days. You are sitting on gold mine and you are asking for donations!…hey be a little business smart…which i think you are but then am i missing something?
Udachi…
Unfortunaately, at the current time we have zero discretionary funds due to ever increasing bills that are swamping even our ability to pay.
But I may be able to offer assistance and even some suggestions, such as:
Look into ways for people to pay *anonymously*. Bitcoin would be the ideal, but there is a large expense involved in just setting the damn thing up. The reality of the situation is that while Trump may have been the only real choice he is a fascist who has sold out to the neocons, who just might decide that all russophile sites are ‘terrorists’, since AQ are now our friends.
And we know what happens to anyone who donates to ‘terrorists’…
One potential means might be just setting up a PO box.
As far as ads go, I never see them, as I have adblockers, as well as LSO cookie killers.
The best advice I can proffer is to have a MERCHANDISE link at the top to go to a separate page where you can have all the ads you want. Users can be encouraged to whitelist the page (only) .
Depending on your site software, you might have an ecommerce module, where that link can take users too. Or you can have the link use a seperate link to a dedicated ecommerce software such as OSCommerce. (FOSS). There should be no extra expense as I can run multiple ecommerce and blog sites off my $15/mo hosting site. For a few bucks a year extra I can make the ICANN site-listing anonymous.
The only complication with ecommerce software is that most default to being paid AT the originating site. There *is* FOSS software for aggregate sites (pass the click through to other site, and assess fees/percentage – of sale though payment may need to be done on a voluntary basis. Or it can be simple as a monthly fee for adverts. Aggregate book listers such as ADDALL use the latter.
The ecommerce software normally will handle etexts as well, so you can sell your own book without Amazon interference. Alternately you can have Amazon links on the second page for all the titles and collect a certain percentage of sales. You can list books by Orlov, Naomi Klein, etc..
By putting ads on ANOTHER page, it keeps the main page clean, and makes it look more professional. It also encourages those who would like to pursue further reading with a real and USEFUL option. Theres a ‘yuuge’ difference between looking for a product, and having it shoved in your face.
Aside from books, other services can be listed, such as VPNs – for user privacy. I would never dream of posting here without one.
To reduce expenses, depending on your actual bandwidth, you might be able to get away with a VPS, or even a normal hosting account. The downside to this is that you may lose the flexibility of using video streaming. My normal hosting account will only permit Adobe type streaming. But you should still have the ability to offer download links for the videos, and let users view them offline. Personally I *NEVER* stream anything, and *always* download and then watch, if I bother with videos at all. I would much rather read info, than be forced to endure a video where it can take forever to get to the information I am interested in. I am turned off by sites where the bulk of their content is video. We have Yootoob for that.
Plus, videos are the major consumer of bandwidth. Offsite links for them would probably dramatically decrease bandwidth. And perhaps allow the much more economical VPS services.
Bozie
Can be cut immediately:
Amazon Web Services cloudfront $108.00 a month
Google could storage $09.00 a month
Could do everything on word processor and back-up there.
@Timmy
Google and Amazon are actually the enemy this community is fighting, though admittedly there are times when we all must make deals with the devil.
Are there no low cost hosting sites in Belarus, or other places like that?
I would suggest Russia, but Putin has blocked libgen.io so the globalists have pretty much won the censorship battle there.
Mind you, companies like Hostgator and BlueHost offer *unlimited* services starting at $6/mo (shared – no PayPal) to full SSL IPV4 at around $15 a month. Now unlimited means unmetered. But llimited to CPU/Memory of the server it is hosted on. VPS is a step up, and the 8000 plan here:
http://www.hostgator.com/vps-hosting
is cited at 20,000-35,000 visitors a day
(VPS is *not* ‘unlimited, but may provide more speed).
(This site is located in Texas, and really lives off a major fiber optic hub- but it has nearly zero downtime due to its practice of mirroring everything offshore)
This of course may not be practical for this blog.
However one potential idea is to maybe have users with websites of their own share their web space for video files for the core site to link to for downloads. Or even as partial mirrors for the core site.
Personally I know nothing of server load distribution, as I have only worked with local and remote single apache servers!
Saker you can use Patreon. It’s a system where people can estabilish an amount to give you monthly (as low a s $1) and raise the money you need to go on monthly. Patreon is used by many online journalists.
Also, you can use online foundraising systems for a one-spot project (like, say, a new graphic for the blog or whatever). All your foundraising pages can be advertised on the blog with a 1-click ad.
Another idea: you can collect “The best of Saker”, your best articles, into an ebook and sell it online for like 3/4 $. People love spending money to “get something”, and this costs you almost no-work.
Last (I know you are against, but I try): there are sites where you can sell mugs, t-shirts and so on. You don’t have to do anything, they do everything and you just get the money. You are very famous around the world, I’m sure many people would love to buy Saker merchandising!
Hope this helps, from Italy…
Saker, Your listing of regular expenses was good to do; it makes clear your are not in this for the money. You should also consider saying how much more you need for the coming month. If you see any unusual expenses coming you could indicate their size and purpose. Jim Stone (82 221 129 208), being wholly reader-supported, has been doing this for a while.
The Duran mug club is a simple and doable idea.
The Saker could come up with a great photo mug using the Saker logo, the Merlin, and a pottery in, say Mexico, to produce the mugs.
I would be willing to explore the mug side of it, if there is interest from Saker.
And Mexico needs the work.
The tariff free border could still work to advantage.
Dear Mr. Saker,
I am a regular follower of your site and find it very informative and enlightening. I have contributed dollars (not real money lol) in the past and will continue to do so now and in the future. I just have one question and if you or someone else has already answered it in the comments, please accept my apologies. Now I’m not the brightest bulb on the tree, but I’m trying very hard to understand the math in your plea above. I just can’t seem to come up with the same figure as you do. Other than that, life is grand and I hope and pray nothing but the best for you and your family. Thanks.
it will cut me out, but you might use the dmitry orlov solution and require one dollar per month
And here’s my suggestion :
Make an app for the Saker site for easier reading with a recurring in-app payment. Anyone who installs the app agrees to have a monthly payment of 1 or 2 bucks a month.
Saker, we need you!
Saker,
A format to take your blog from a loss making proposition to a profit making proposition.
Without profit, nobody eats. With profit, many eat well. We all need to eat. Without profit, you disappear. With profit, we all appear. It is a no-brainer. Now to business:
1. Open a Patreon Account – let that account manage all financial support from your readers. This will save time and make this job easy and you don’t have to run around for specific gifts from all over.
2. Create 2 levels of content .. premium and everyday. (You are premium, Scott is premium and probabably a few more). Pay your premium content developers and publishers.
Everyday content is free.
Premium has to be paid for by subscription model. Take your cost (btw, check your numbers), divide by your future subscribers and that is what your premium content must cost to readers. (Your platform is premium and expensive .. perhaps for now you can cut cost here).
3. Take your content, read it (and some of us can help with this), for youtube. Put advertising there. That will keep the blog free from advertising but will keep some advertising revenue rolling. Youtube, Twitter now are penalizing some forms of content, so this income stream will not be much, but something.
4. Create a 2 tier delivery model. Subscribers get premium content first, and then a day or 2 later, the rest of the visitors get it.
5. When this all is established, let’s take the blog public. You share ownership but not creative or content control. You also create a set of ‘angels’ if you like that act as governing group and pay for that privilege. The governing group has a job .. they have to find other income streams (and their buy-in capital pays for this development) so that their own dividends can be paid.
6. Will give more attention to this model and write it up professionally once I have a space in time.
7. You want to think of this as a business creating good money flow for everyone involved and not as a sinking hole for money.
I agree with this one too – and perhaps with the level 2 we could have more writing by Saker himself.
Why not host some advertising to offset your costs?
Saker, I will also be glad to make an automatic monthly donation (say of $5) to help you keep up your magnificent work. I’m actually unemployed and not “flush” right now but I’ll be most honored to support. I don’t want to give now and then randomly later because I don’t want to think about it. I prefer to set up an automatic monthly donation and then forget about it. Blessings! Gregory
Of course I support The Saker and his work and plan to donate. There is no better source for news about Ukraine, Syria, and other topics on the war front.
However, as a progressive American I have one word of advice: wake up about Trump, who has been characterized in this space as a leader whose “heart is in the right place.”
Sorry, Trump is a gangster and should be viewed as such.
Here is a good article by Chris Hedges that explains more.
http://www.commondreams.org/views/2017/03/20/last-chance-resistance
Do you not agree that Hedges always brings with him a whiff of the New York Times, the CIA mouthpiece since at least 1975?
How do you know that Hedges was/is not part of this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mockingbird
yes and I find Hedges is totally morose – can’t enjoy the guy no matter how many times I try.
Saker, another thing that could be improved – with 2 levels of readership would be this second page of commenting – every time I make a comment, now that I’m on the second page of comments – i have to go all the way to the bottom of the first page, and then click on page 2 – and then find my place again….couldn’t this be improved ?
good riddance to bad rubbish
Dear Saker,
I set up a monthly payment because I don’t want to miss the information and quality comments coming thru this site.
However I want to warn you about PayPal.
As the experience from Jim Stone shows PayPal is a jewish organization and stole his donations on a regular basis to undermine his website. PayPal is part of the enemy.
Research his website. It mentions the donations on his page so people can check it and complain when their money disappears. That is the only way to prevent it on this holoweb.
The deep state does not like the Free Press, does not like your website. They only like fake news. So please be careful about the money that is coming your way. They will rob you if you let them.
Kind regards
Dear Saker and community of readers !
This site is a valuable source of news, analysis and ideas for me for number of years and I believe so for all readers of the blog. We can’t affort its crush.
Lets now right now a little experiment – lets make a pledge to donate $1 from each one readers of the site within next 24 hrs. Saker will let community know the returns of this experiment.
Then we all will know the financial supporting power of the audience and then it will be easy to figure out the way to go ahead: regular contribution fee pledge / paywall / Ads, etc.
I am literally living from paycheck to paycheck, but I am willing to donate my $10 for original content.
PS. Experiment to test the fundrising power of reader’s community of this blog on a basis: “one reader- one dollar” just started: $1 been sent. Let see the results in 24hrs
I agree with The Book Lady on Patreon account idea. This is the way to go- to turn loss to profit and have a fun. This business model actual similar to what I suggested, but on already established platform.
I think RT.com and RI.com and the Duran and others in Russia itself as well as in Islamic countries have the advertising expertise and the cash you need, Russia needs, all who are alive and deeply curious need, Pure news is the most vital need we humans now have. Every other need is beggared. Suzanne de K.
The Saker does not need advice, he needs money
KISS
I would love to see the ratio of advice to donations
If you have advice, IT or otherwise, just send an email.
Do what I have done …. set up a recurring payment of what you can afford with PayPal.
KISS
What about asking your thousands of readers to send ?5 each month? That is doable by the really poor who depend on your writings. Ask China! Go to China Daily and ask Jack MA! Send him your passionate letter
Oh ….. I did not mean to be critical about any advice offered, particularly IT
What I know about IT you could write on the edge of a razor blade and have room leftover for a fairly substantial novel …. so if I were running the Saker I would welcome constructive IT advice ….. that you can send in an email
However …. it works now …. it is not broken ….. there is no need to fix it
Money …. recurring donations however small ….. not advice
Well said, Graeme.
I like this site, I value this site. And I applaud TheSaker’s principled stance about how it is offered. But it isn’t broken, and, like most other things, it can always be improved over time. So by all means e-mail TheSaker with ideas from your IT expertise, or whatever it is, that this site set-up can benefit from.
TheSaker has a full-time job and does this blog in his ‘spare’ time. He doesn’t need to spend more of his valuable free time supplicating to advertisers, or setting up an on-line store or such — and everything else that these diversions would entail.
What he needs right now is MONEY to cover the overhead of a well-received public information service. And I can sense the anguish in his ‘voice’ that he even has to ask for this.
Many commenters have indicated their willingness to send money if a convenient means were available for contributing small, monthly payments. So if TheSaker has to spend any extracurricular time anywhere it should be to address how to provide such a facility.
Other than this, let’s keep TheSaker’s time unencumbered for his most valuable efforts.
Thank you
‘Many commenters have indicated their willingness to send money if a convenient means were available for contributing small, monthly payments. So if TheSaker has to spend any extracurricular time anywhere it should be to address how to provide such a facility’
This has already been set up with PayPal – It is on the right sidebar of each page
I used it successfully and easily to set up a small monthly donation.
If each person who made a comment did the same thing, problem solved (as the article notes, if you simply cannot spare the money, then why not donate some time)
Yes, Graeme, you are right. I found out how straight-forward it was when I made my own small monthly contribution.
I’m reluctant to use PayPal, on principle, even though I have an account facility there; however if I refused to use everything I was opposed to on these grounds, life would be a tad difficult. The art of compromise, I suppose.
I have long admired the work of the Saker, now it is time to support him.
I just pledged $5.00 per month coming from Canada its a tad bit more but it is worth.
This will be ongoing,
This way I am part of the solution not part of the problem.
The Saker is an agent for change to the good let us all get behind him and be part of the solution.
I dont know how much monthly visitors do you get, but seriously..you could cut your amazon cloud services and other things..I mean, is a blog not a corporate business like ebay or other..also 6 blogs? Just keep it one in english and one for the most visited language..
man actually I dont even earn 10000$ in a year and you spent on a blog? Optimize costs, “lean startup” method.. migrate to siteground hosting, it has an own cloud flare for free..ypu can do it with about 300-500 per year
Saker,
I’m a constant reader of theDuran; and in terms of articles and analysis, they’re miles off what we get here at the Saker community. So if I can bear the ads on it I can certainly more than bear it in here.
Get ads. No need to have unnecessary headache. :)
I attempted to donate three times but Pay Pal will not let me since the Pay Pal link on the blog does not include Canadian provinces just US states thus I am not able to complete the donation without entering the province .
One more comment: Make an appointment to meet in person (you go) Jack Ma with all your info of who you are what you have been doing with your blog, how close you are to Russia and he may fund you completely or at least send you to meet others that can or will simply be fascinated too. You and your story are of primo interest, riveting. He may want to start a blog like yours too. In many languages.
China needs you even more than Russia, Chinese being an even more foreign language to the West than Russian.
best, Suzanne de K.
I too really appreciate the site, the incredible work and dedication of Saker and the discussions. Recently I have seen that a lot of alternative websites are having trouble with advertisements – they are being blocked by Google and Facebook – or their advertisers are being attacked. Moreover advertisements present serious security problems. I don’t like the paywall idea either – it has discouraged me from going to Dmitri Orlov’s site – although I have bought his book. Yesterday I made a donation to Saker and I do respond to regular reminders and appeals.
Well, at least you have a real job. I had wondered.
Listen to the advice above. Unless you are 100% sure you can get by without them – listen to your family.
The real news is at a few sites like ITAR TASS, and there it’s ‘Somebody had a meeting with somebody’. It is not the endless repetition at blogs.
Between those two, one can follow and weigh. I do this. I rarely bother with blogs. Three years ago, it was plain to me that the next step after Syria was going to be Africa, if only because the Silk Road concept necessitates it. What do we see now? Libya – both sides – asking Russia’s diplomatic help. Today’s news at TASS? Includes a blurb about Congolese interest. When will there be anything about it in a blog? Right. Blogs are only interested in competing notions of ‘truth’.
Just set up a monthly $ 2.00 donation. Hope it helps a little .I guess if many would do the same it would amount to something reasonable.
In any case thank you for your work. I read your book and I must say very well done.
I am subscribed to quite a number of good news sites and delivered directly to my mail box .Is there a way that I could get the same done with this site ?
One quick thought: there are some of us (not all) English speakers who enjoy Cat Motya’s posts. Maybe a fee could be paid for translating these, regularly? Maybe a foreign language analysis section, translated to English, which requires a small fee to access?
Hoorey!!! One SOB Rat , RockyFeller was assessinated by Putin. Just take care of the rest the Rats and the World will love you.
Happy to donate a few dollars a month via paypal
I don’t want to loose you. I pay for my monthly Catherine Austin Fitts Solari… For Dr. Joseph Farrell and various other people I view as vital to accurate information and speculations.
I gladly add you to the list!
I see you have a PayPal account. Make that more ‘forward’ on your site…
Lots of very good comments and pledges in this thread.
For me, running ads or flogging merchandise would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. For one thing, the more sites rely on ads, the more people run ad blockers. Flogging merchandise requires outlay of time, effort, and $$. Both take focus away from the content. Those who value the content found here seem to be overwhelmingly willing to support it with monthly subscriptions. Could be, making it easy for them to do so might be all that’s needed to get the sap running in the vineyard. If a simple re-design of a couple of elements on the site can do the trick, let’s try that before opting for anything more taxing. Re: PayPal and Patreon, I’d say choose the one that offers the best function in terms of interface and choice of options. As several of the commenters have pointed out: Ask, and ye shall receive!
Other comments:
• Might be a good idea to separate more distinctly the entity that is the site from the identity of the man — when we “Support the Saker”, are we supporting the man or the site? The ASK should be worded to accentuate the fact it’s the Vineyard we’re tending.
• The ASK module should be at or near the top of the sidebar —just above or just below the ABOUT THE SAKER module. It could be a single attractive button that opens to a dedicated page that lays out the annual financial requirement for tending the vineyard and lists the different ways to support and/or subscribe. Lead with SUBSCRIBE, then give options for single or intermittent donations. A thermometer or bar of some sort (glass of wine?) reflecting funded status in more-or-less real time is effective.
• ASK button images: certainly of a bit of grapevine, possibly in conjunction with a collection plate – two visuals that have connotations that resonate.
• I like the idea of having a separate category of donation/subscription for translations, especially Cat Motya’s work.
Long time reader, from Romania here. I’ve made a 50$ donation, my first donation ever, to tell you the truth, money well spent I say, keep up the good work!
Not sure how this kind of an occasional donation will help your great blog, maybe you could think a bit about how this kind of thing would work for you financially, and phrase it in some way to encourage people to donate, like “If 1000 readers would donate 50$ a year, this blog will be able to sustain itself!”, or something, you know Wikipedia like, more user friendly.
But anyhow, you shouldn’t be ashamed to ask for money, we all know these things cost, and we really appreciate the info you provide, it’s been very enlightening, for me at least. I’m afraid the people of the former soviet block are not very accustomed to paying for news, and putting their money where their heart is, me included. I guess it’s just something that seems strange to us, or maybe it’s just me.
There is another aspect, that I’m really reluctant to mention, and that I hope will not make other people not donate, but it is a real concern of mine, being the paranoid that I am. Seeing how the world is heading pretty obviously towards conflict, and me being from a country that’s anti-Russian to the extreme, and probably one of the battlegrounds in the, hopefully, new cold war, there is a slim, but real possibility that donating to this blog will put me on some kind of government list, which obviously I don’t want, as I’m not a revolutionary. Yet, at leas :)t. So, from my point of view some independent source of income, like advertising will be better. Hope you take this into account when you think about sources of income for your blog.
Actually, Tod, I think you can be pretty sure that just reading this blog has you on a watch list. Like everyone else who reads it. At least you’re in good company. Buying merchandise vs. a straight donation wouldn’t make any difference, as every digital financial transaction is recorded, regardless. Not sure about how bitcoin works, but I expect it’s being even more carefully scrutinized. Sending $ by email might put a layer of distance between the sender and the blog. But, the connection could still be made if someone looked for it. I say F-it! People CHOOSE whether to be free or not. That’s never been something that’s just GIVEN.
I’m just prudent, that’s all, a direct financial transaction to a “banned site”, “enemy person” or whatever, seems like something that can be very easy held against you in a court of law (I’m no lawyer). Maybe even shirts or something would add a level of deniability.
Only reading may be overlooked, like you know, sending money to ISIS will probably send you to jail, reading it’s magazine probably not, as an example.
I get it that an evil government can f**** you either way, but lets try to make their job as hard as possible ;)
ISIS is internationally and officially named by the UN and member states to be a ‘banned’, terrorist organization. That determination was made based on actual, verifiable, systematic acts of terrorism committed by that group over a long period of time against various different targets.
So far as I know, The Vineyard of the Saker has not been ‘banned’ by anyone, though there are definitely certain forces hiding in a cloak of anonymity who would prefer that people not be exposed to such an example of free speech and intelligent analysis.
I understand what you mean about making it harder for them to intimidate. And, I agree with you. We all need to stand up to them one way or another, each according to our means and our situation. Good luck with your method. Wish me good luck with mine!
Cut costs and sell merchandise since you have an established readership and base.
I would overpay for a coffee cup, T-shirt or Calender with the Saker branding to support this site. This can be done through a 3rd party who handles the whole transaction for you including drop shipping.
Googled these as example:
https://www.cogginspromo.com/online-company-stores/
https://www.merchify.com/
Find one that is a good fit for the site.
Socialism is a failing ideology.
As an American, I can respect that you have expenses, this is your job and you would like to continue doing it. There is no apologies or “selling out” by creating a format for continuing to do what your calling is and make a living doing it.
I think selling ads is a not a great route because the do destroy the message of your site and, just as important, they don’t bring in that much revenue when it’s all said and done.
Donated US$60.00 … exchange rate is a downer.
Coming late into discussion so is here my 2 cents worth.
Despite having a ‘Support the Saker’ button with payment options on the right side of his blog he is not getting donations. Some comments indicate that people are not even aware of this and also not aware of the payment options.
So perhaps the current layout of the blog is not sufficient reminder to contribute. I offer these suggestions to Saker.
1. What about a blurb added to the bottom of each article.
For example:
Support Us
Become a Monthly Supporter.
Help us provide a viable progressive media, instead of buying [list of items with cost – Coffee $4.00; Newspaper $2.50; Sandwich $6.00; etc]
Then a big Saker Button which goes to payment page.
2. Create a Support Us page
The current page is dedicated to payment options but lacks other incentives.
I suggest of a few sub headings: ‘Why Support Us’ – ‘Our Business Model’ – ‘How to Support Us’ – which is basically what Saker tells us when he is desperate for funds.
A good example can be found on this website.
Bottom of page appeal:
http://www.thecanary.co/2017/03/21/important-trade-event-takes-place-target-audience-banned-attending/
Separate support us page:
http://www.thecanary.co/support-us/
Cheers from down under
Are you sure you need a registering agent for your LLC? In most states, registering an LLC is such a simple matter than most do it for themselves. The registering agent sounds like a ripoff.
Forpeople,
Registered agents are basically ripoffs but, if you don’t have one you have to put your contact address and info which would be publicly available.
Just like WHOIS masking contact info for website. If you don’t do that, general public (anyone in the world) can go to your place of business etc…
So if you do all the above it’ll take the CIA a whole 4 minutes extra to find you but at least you can keep a few oddballs from tracking you down.
Tried to donate, but I only get sent back to paypal “security challenge” time after time as soon as I fill in country (Sweden)
That very interesting … I know transfer of cash to/from Armenia is blocked and no chance at all with Crimea. You can send via bitcoin (if you have any). regards … mod-hs
Sorry, no bitcoin. I´ll try with VISA tomorrow again
Now it worked
I am a supporter for a pair of years now, with a monthly subsription. I put this first so that before anyone jumps at me she or he checks she or he’s doing as much as I do.
Now I am also a bit familiar with the problematic. I had a blog with as much traffic at that (and waaay more bandwith use). I also tried various thing to monetize.
1) advertising doesn’t make money, at all. You’d need not 10, but 50 times Saker’s traffic to make a living for one person. Same audience does make a full crew live on a tv show. That’s a story in itself – how the same value isn’t priced the same way when it’s independent people rather than controlled media. But that’s the way it is.
2) making harsh statement is against non supporter isn’t a sensible approach. First, we supporter have to read that too and can feel ignored. “Not good”. Second, basic behavior science tells you it’s not efficient.
What is efficient is for instance replication mechanism. Have supporters adress the community in short note and say that they support you and why, on a regular basis, for instance. But the best use of that mechanic is the progress bar. You put a monthly progress bar on the top right of the site, and between feedback loop (I see I moved the bar, even a little), emulation from others and gamification (let’s reach that next level) it’s just what works best. It’s not a mystery, and the only question is why oh why we gets those regular, wounded and wounding cry of pain while we still don’t get that progression bar. Or at least, paywall (that can work), although I agree limiting diffusion can be counterproductive. Although some go well with public and private content. My personal preference is for an efficient support program (also, Patreon is a thing now) but paywall would make sense too. What doesn’t is that yearly “I am despaired, you’re all selfish, I love you all guys” bit. Emotional is fine, I love you too but as put by a popular blogger of 2017, it’s not good persuasion.
3) your costs seem of the chart to me. You’re not the first succesful blogger I see with costs in the thousands, but in 2009 I was having more bandwith use than you on a monthly basis for less than 30€ a month. Had way less comment though, and more importantly I wasn’t a target for hackers, so I won’t draw any conclusion, except that maybe another way to handle it would be to optimize spending. Also giving money here and there to people who needs it… Look, either you want to have a real, professional operation and you create the structure you need. Either it’s just a blog going well and you have to adjust your expectations.
4) I keep on funding because I appreciate you, your stance, your work and I think the world is a better place with you. Also I understand there isn’t something relevant to say every day, and I appreciate you not flooding. Still I think that at the end of the day, you don’t create enough content here. We have the Unz column, and more or less, that’s it. We then have interesting additions, but keep in mind they’re not “star” writers as you are. They wouldn’t be dragging crowds. You do.
My advice: take an unpassionate look at what is “the saker operation”. Decide what YOU feel you really want to see funded / secured, without counting how much that would be. Once decided, count how much that would be. Add 30% because you’re wrong, it’s 30% more. Then pack all of this in a presentation, whether it’s for patreon, kickstarted, or good old paypal + widget. Offer us the possibility to buy something we believe in. Which essentially would be something YOU believe in to start with.
Then, to use a popular world in the Putin administration, be professional. Have progression bar, integration of the funding request within your UI. Whatever suits your monetisation scheme. But DO HAVE A MONETISATION SCHEME. People interested in you are interested in your longevity. People who screams “he wants money” are just as wrong as neo con warmonger or Hooray Patriots, and basically pushing the cart in the wrong direction just as well.
I hope you read this, Saker. I am convinced there are things here that could help improve things.
I have already made a couple of short comments, AND, more importantly set up a small monthly donation.
My thinking is pretty simple, less talk more monthly subscriptions ….
I used to have a website and built it up to where I was getting well over one million views a year. All those readers were happy to access the resource for free, but extracting one dollar from their pockets proved beyond my capabilities.
Google Adsense generates a lot of revenue for Google but next to nothing for a small website like this (or mine). You need millions of page views to generate serious revenue. Think about it, how many google ads do you click on. For most people the answer it none.
I also tried Affiliate advertising ….. again, for all you hear about the gadzillions you will make, in reality you make very little unless you have corned a niche market.
Mugs are for mugs ……. what if 100 mugs are made and offered for sale at say $10 and nobody decided to buy the mugs. There will be 100 mugs at the Saker’s house reminding him that he was a mug. My suggestion, to those who suggest merchandise, is to do a deal with ‘the saker’ where you produce the merchandise and pay the Saker to advertise on this site. If, as you seem to think, it is a definite money spinner, then both you and ‘the Saker’ benefit. If not, then ‘the Saker’ has not wasted his time and money.
Surely most of the readers can forego a cup of coffee a month
and yes, this will be my last rant.
Put a subscription rate on your site. Monthly or yearly. MC, Visa, etc. you have a business opportunity.
actually Saker, you could do a ‘volunteer subscription’ – a local newspaper in my area does this – they still have to make their pleas for volunteers, but I think it is working.
And do your pleas regularly as a part of the blog – not just when your fuse short-circuits.
Saker,
Think art of warfare: You have the Moral Level with an enduring brand. (Moral, trumps the Mental, inturn trumps the Physical $$). Now play that to a stratigic advantage.
Take a “tactical retreat” by shutting down your blog temporarily until you can get resupplied ($$) ..You also need a vacation to regroup ..Besides you will find out who your real allies are!
At the stratigic level continue doing your in house proprietary analysis, only give interviews (reinforce) via your trusted allies, look for opportunities to convert the uncommitted potential ally, and not overlook an opportunity winning the enemy to our side.
There is a reason for signs at parks that say: “Don’t feed the wild life”. Lesson..when there is a free lunch, nature instinctively does not get the message to migrate (advance to the next level..Action!)
Keep up the great work and reflect upon fine tuning your Grand Strategy.
Hi, I’m Brazilian.
I read what you write more than two years ago.
I always want to help, but Brazil is a poor country, and because of the coup d’état it got much poorer.
I do not know how I can help.
But if I were not so poor, I would send thirty thousand dollars a year to help the cause.
I’m sorry I can not help, this is very sad.
I hope those who have more money help, it is their duty!
Although I certainly agree with many of you regarding the unique qualities of the Saker and the original content here, I have always felt that what makes it such a special treat to visit, is YOU.
The comment section here is far beyond any other in the alternative sector, and the diligent moderation is really doing its part to keep it clean and focused. Perhaps a more forum- styled layout and functionality would further emphasize this part of the service..and THIS part of the site could then be segmented into members only areas, where you have to pay a small fee to engage with others on topics you are particularly interested in, whereas the initial content can continue to be free. Or perhaps read only for free and pay a small fee if you want to write, as someone else also suggested?
Anyway, the further strengthening of the Saker community itself could be done in many ways, also by those who have no funds to contribute, but it then has to FEEL like a community, whether it is through the use of badges or grades or special access or not is another matter.
To sum it up: In terms of what the reader takes away from a visit here, WE are on equal footing with the saker and should share the responsibility to keep this unique place going by further strengthening the community spirit. Any further ideas on HOW?
A
Sometimes the conversations of the moneybags are just plain boring. More often their servants (waitresses, chefs, etc.) and the ordinary folks on the outside have the more entertaining stories to tell. They’re far more open-minded and funny than those with a stiff upper lip.
i have been reading a lot from this site and the comment, just realize about the financial issue. just make payment. from Malaysia
I would suggest a quarterly fund drive, reminding readers that running a site like this costs money and asking for help.
Hi Friends.

Kent
hi Kent – cute comment – thanks ! I’d buy a tee shirt like that – but I was hoping, when I opened the first link, that is would be Putin AND Saker – his bird –
I could do original designs for wine bottles, mugs, T-shirts, caps, etc with “the good guy’s”, and Saker Falcons. off course.
Actually I did hope to a bit more response to my initial work listed above.
Remember my Falcon photo’s anyone?? There will be more this year.
http://telemarksporten.no/SakerFalcon01/
The large Putin file listed above had a bad link ending.
This is the correct one: http://telemarksporten.no/SakerPhotos/PutinBlue.jpg
Enjoy.

Kent
Kent,
Lack of comment doesnt mean lack of interest.
Don’t lose heart – takes a while to ‘ digest’ a proposition.
Hi Kent,
Nice idea. I just saw your designs. Maybe you could add a design with a smaller picture. Thank you, I know it is a lot of work.
Hi I would like to donate on an ongoing basis so I do not have to remember. Maybe I will only visit this site occasionally but I want to support intelligent news and analysis.
Just spent all my bitcoin but request that Saker start accepting Dash crypto as well. Soon there Evolution wallet will be out and then be real easy to setup regular payments. And completely anonymously using private send.
Thank you.
For years I am a reader of this blog.
I tried to make a donation, but the amount cell is not active.
Also I am able to send the money via email. The vineyardsaker@gmail I used is not working.
What email do I use? This is the easiest way for me, and i can set up a monthly donation, though not large,
L.V
Saker should switch to a print offering like a daily newspaper or monthly magazine. If it is in print then it is no longer “fake news”.
At least that is what I keep hearing from Monocle magazine which I spend 100 £/year on and don’t even read (too much British Propaganda or “Britprop”) but they do an excellent job of tracking down the latest handmade, heritage brand of tote bags.
Joking aside, this post has put some things into perspective for me. I need to evaluate my blog reading and make an effort to budget out a proportional sum of money for those that I enjoy. I will send some cash soon.
just donate a pitiful €2 a month, it’s all i have in my account at the moment. But i will be able to give more next month and onwards. Saker don’t despair, you will get there, because this is worth it.
Have you seen what Dmitry Orlov is doing with his blogspot?
He is using “Patreon”. His blog posts are present, then to “read more” requires a monthly donation.
Have you looked into that potential?
All the best to you,
I am Danish – and I will send you 15 dollars every month.
0,2 BTC sent ;-)
I see one of the comments below suggests using Facebook–which certainly can be effective. But remember Matt Drudge’s advice from 2015: Get out of the internet ghettos. Otherwise, Facebook (!) becomes your gatekeeper–and we know what they are doing right now to the home pages of alternative news sites: simply deleting without notice articles/links. Drudge says you need to maintain the ‘old’ pre-social media relationship with your readers: make sure they go to your direct link. I agree. Twitter is now blocking the content of Drudge Tweets. YouTube has now created “restricted mode” which blocks, not ISIS terror videos or CNN, but alternative news sites.
Also see the comments further below about PayPal’s monthly recurring payments. They never stick.
BitChute is a great alternative for YT. The Corbettreport and Newsbud are using Bitchute next to YT.
Just dispense with all the bandwidth heavy stuff and stick to writing. And then advertise if you have to.
Saker,
I’ve followed your work for a couple/few years now albeit sporadically. I bought your book and I appreciate your dedication to your work.
I’ve been around the block a few times and I know from experience that there are a few things that can really slow the wheels of progress. It seems that you are experiencing a couple of these.
1. I believe you take on too much. I remember a couple years ago you put out a similar call for help when you needed manpower to help translate/curate etc. Trying to grow your business is never easy but the kiss of death of any business is trying to a) grow too much / too fast and b) being underfunded.
Won’t work. Trust me.
2. Having ideological blinders on.
Saying you won’t stoop so low as to not have advertising or selling product is, well, akin to self flagellation. Why not? Is it beneath you? Is it wrong or evil? Think about this. Think hard as this may be a segnificant part of the solution you are seeking.
3. You underestimate/ overestimate your readership. Nuff said. Armchair warriors rarely if ever pony up. – (that’s right armchair warriors I’m talking about you – if you want to Junk me then go ahead but put your money where your mouth is and send him some bling or some of teh bitcoins – I dare ya!)
The way I see it is you should think about what it is that you do best and focus on that. Analyze what the most difficult parts of you blog are and get rid of them. Apply Pareto’s principle to everything you do (the 80/20 rule). Seek guidance… ask Greg Hunter or PC Roberts how they keep it going. You don’t have to be AJ / infowars salesman type but there are ways to get what you want. Remember… you have to give up something to get something.
Anyway, don’t want to bore anybody here but because you asked I broke my long standing vow of comment silence and decided to chime in.
BTW – I sent you $100 CAD.
C’MON ARMCHAIR WARRIORS – PONY UP!!! – send him one of your shinies. yeah, right.
I donated just now. Agree with earlier commenters that a subscription system would be good. Make some articles available only to subscribers so it’s worth the trouble.
Dear Saker,
for some time I refrained from donating for different reasons. Now things have changed. Donated today.
I’m proud to join you and the other donors on a terrorist list.
Broke as ****, but still not kneeling to rational and practical human living arrangements, by the standard of responsible people.
A ‘broke’ (not broken) and confused (not contrite) heart is a fitting sacrifice to the Deep State.
Well, I’ve donated and, of course, I wish that every person who has any interest in fighting the imperial, war mongering, oligarchic deep state to donate whatever he or she can, too. This site provides really valuable, informative insight. So let’s chip in and help this person.
Dimitri Orlov has a solution that looks ideal to me: $1 per article through a service that does the actual collecting. He won’t get rich, but he will get paid. Seems like a “no brainer” to those of us willing to support independant thinking and journalism.
