Scott, I save your tours for relaxation time. I love them all, and I think they’ve become a really important feature of the vineyard. These are not small things, you know, in a world so full of such distress and violence. Thank you so much.
Thanks, GrandmaR
I really put a lot of thoughts and time into this my project. I search for videos that express beauty, engineering genius, nature, history, and soul of Russia. All of there have to be under 10 minutes and in English.
Hugs
Scott
This one takes much more than your 10 minute limit, but it speaks bunches of the Russian spirit, on each of the stages that are defined.
Dance of the Little Swans Extended version 48 min.
Vaganova Ballet Academy Auditions Young Dancers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEvnu5oxx0Y
Watch at min. 14, the poem by the young man, a child really but already with an acute sense of what it takes to be a Man.
At each stage of the selection proces can see the determination and aspirations of the children and young dancers. A drive for perfection but also an understanding that life has moods or its own desires, that time is ripe when it is ready, and that everyone can play a role in society, in Russian Life.
It stirs quite a lot of emotions, the triumphs and defeats, the perseverance and pursuit of beauty. more than the competitive thrill, the illusion of defeating someone else.
The recogniton that defeating one’s weaknesses is the real triumph in life.
No hubris, no arrogance, no exceptionalism. Just excellence in the individual and the collective.
All in due time, and each one in the appointed place that effort and destiny can give.
But, always with the support of their peers, and their superiors.
It is Russia, another facet, another vignette.
Thank you, Scott for each one of your efforts.
Aztlan,
Thank you for video of ballet dancers. One easily notices that the Russian children dress, act and like children, though at the same time with a mature purpose. They are so polite. I must say there is a soft dignity that exudes from them. Such a breath of fresh air to see them and hear them talk !
On the other hand we have Honey Boo Boo and that obnoxious and once lauded kid actor Macaulay Caulkin. Yikes!

Thank you Scott for sharing this beautiful and educational video.
A country that encourages the fine classical arts can only soar higher and higher. The certain type of art work that is highly praised tells much of the Soul of a country.
Meanwhile in the US/West we have American “artists” such as Andre Serrano whom was the winner of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art’s Award in the Visual Arts” competition. It was sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, a United States Government agency that offers support and funding for artistic projects.
His winning artwork was a bucket filled with his own urine and a crucifix in it. Serrano received $15,000 for the work, and $5,000 in 1986 from the taxpayer-funded National Endowment for the Arts.
Again, in September 27, 2012, his disgusting work ( I emphatically refuse to give its name here, due to the highly blasphemous and offensive title) was on display in the Edward Tyler Nahem Gallery in New York, at the Andres Serrano show “Body and Spirit” ( his show should had been named “Vile and Vomit”).
What more can I say? except… God bless and protect Russia and long live the Classical Arts
that are one of mankind’s ways to reach towards God.
Godspeed to you Scott.
