This video says plenty. Even with sanctions in place, EU countries had no choice but to come and participate in the Yamal Project. This is proof the EU cannot function without Russia. If Russian scientists are correct, and we are getting global cooling, a new mini ice age instead of the highly suspicious global warming claims, then Russia will play a crucial role in Europe’s energy needs. The sooner these foolish sanctions are lifted, the better for all.

Global cooling??? Would you care to post a link (in english) supporting this?

      • B.F. on December 19, 2017  ·  at 11:13 am EST/EDT

I have known about global cooling since 2001. Before global cooling sets in, we shall have a very brief period of global warming, after which global cooling sets in. It will have nothing to do with human activities on this planet, but entirely due to changes in the performance of the sun, which occurs periodically.

It is the cyclical based scientists who view us as entering a cool phase for at least a few decades. One is David Dilley, formerly of NOAA, so it is not just the Russians who’ve seen this coming.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WaU_NJfKOE
        David Dilley Predictions:
        1) Phase 1 2014+ = similar to 1950-70
        Phase 2 2019-20 = rapid cooling (1880s like)
        Cold = 2022-2040 = Coldest phase
        2) Ocean levels will not increase after 2018
        3) More volcanoes & earthquakes 2020-2030
        4) Historic volcanic erruption 2024-2028
        5) Starts warming again in 2140
        6) 2116 our inter-glacial ends (see you in 90,000 years)

        • B.F. on December 19, 2017  ·  at 4:27 pm EST/EDT

Yes, that is correct. As I mentioned it, I have known about global cooling since 2001. At the moment the US is trying to prevent the building of the Nord Stream – 2 gas pipeline. It will fail, as the EU needs Russian gas, which the US cannot deliver in adequate quantities, and the gas it delivers is double in price. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nord Stream – 3 is built, going through Scandinavia.

Documentary about how cosmic rays, Sun activity, cloud formation and climate on Earth are connected. The amount of cosmic rays that reaches the Earth and causes cloud formation is influenced by Solar activity and by the location of our Solar system within the galaxy. All data show cold period is ahead of us.

Hello, if the world is cooling and Russia knows it as you say why is Russia investing so much on ports, facilities and more for the Northern Sea routes? Won’t these become useless in a new Ice age?

      • B.F. on December 19, 2017  ·  at 2:15 pm EST/EDT

When it comes to the Arctic and its conditions, Russians have the best technology to overcome any Arctic problems, including global cooling. The Arctic region is rich in oil and gas.

      • T1 on December 19, 2017  ·  at 6:58 pm EST/EDT

Fossil fuels – I cringe at those words.

Sov/Russian geologists posited that complex carbon compounds were deep Earth results, not decayed reptiles.

        Drilling deeper confirms.

        • norumbega on December 27, 2017  ·  at 11:03 am EST/EDT

The abiogenic theory is certainly interesting and it is perhaps more likely to be true or partly true with respect to the simpler hydrocarbons such as natural gas, which is what Yamal seems to have a large amount of.

But the conventional theory is that hydrocarbons were formed by heating at appropriate depths of decayed algae blooms, not of decayed reptiles.

They are also investing in a fleet of ice breakers that are second to none and some of their LNG ships put current ice breakers to shame. Dual use.

  2. lighta on December 18, 2017  ·  at 5:40 pm EST/EDT

impressive. This is what the world need. Big project that make everyone together and our global technology progress.
I’m glad my fellow frenchman continue to believe in this despite having their arm twisted….

  3. The pessimist on December 18, 2017  ·  at 6:52 pm EST/EDT

Where is the market? Is it Europe? or Asia?

Should be relatively efficient to cool the gas and liquify it given the ambient temps up there.

  4. Larchmonter445 on December 18, 2017  ·  at 7:17 pm EST/EDT

This project is a great tribute to Putin and Total (France). They believed in it, and they made it happen. It shows that Russia can do anything it sets it talents to.

The sadness that the CEO of Total was killed in a tragic accident and could not see his faith in Putin, Russia and the creative resources of his company and the Russian technologists.

What matters, is LNG is major weapon of competition and warfare between the US and everyone in the market. Qatar, Iran, and Russia will be formidable competition for the US in Europe, and other developing regions.

Putin’s vision for the Russian Arctic, the Far East and Siberia are heavily reliant on natural gas pipelines and LNG. Yamal is a spectacular success. It is the equivalent of landing men on the Moon. But it will repay the Russian economy for many decades.

Putin could be building aircraft carriers and thousands of jet planes. Instead, he’s soaring ahead in Arctic development and gas as an export. There is a brilliance to this decision.
The US is decades behind in the Arctic.

    • Ann on December 19, 2017  ·  at 12:15 am EST/EDT

wow – I was just thinking of that guy but I did not realize that was him….that was so sad. Do you think it was an assassination Larchmonter ?

      • Larchmonter445 on December 19, 2017  ·  at 12:33 am EST/EDT

No. It was bad judgment by the man himself ordering the takeoff in the snow, and then the plowtrucks on the runway should have been warned off by the Tower.

Human errors. The plane clipped one of the machines. Very, very tragic. He was the best friend of Russia and Putin.

        • FOHP on December 19, 2017  ·  at 2:46 am EST/EDT

I am not that sure that Mr Christophe de Margerie’s death was due to an accident. For example it was not snowing that day as previously reported but it was raining instead. This “accident” is very reminiscent to the “accident” which killed Mr Enrico Mattei from the Italian giant ENI in 1962.

          http://leplus.nouvelobs.com/contribution/1507292-accident-ou-attentat-j-ai-enquete-sur-la-vie-et-la-mort-de-christophe-de-margerie.html

          • Larchmonter445 on December 19, 2017  ·  at 8:42 am EST/EDT

All the reports from the moment of the accident reported very bad weather. It is silly to say a plane running into a snow plow truck was an assassination.

He should have stayed on the ground until the weather broke better for flight. He risked it, the nature of such a CEO, and he lost.

The “hit” that was a hit was the Putin chauffeur who was killed by the head-on crash.

The ENI executive was an assassination by the big 7 oil companies. He was getting out of line of their way of doing business. That’s pretty much agreed he was killed.

Amazing achievement in climatically atrocious conditions – yet “we in the West” are continually told that “Russia is relatively backward”, or “can only go backward” –

    https://www.huffingtonpost.com/zhanna-nemtsova/russia-backward-nemtsov_b_8882440.html

Fortunately, the reality is the polar opposite. Despite economic devastation (post-collapse), Western “interference” (along the lines of let’s see how much we can steal!), and of course those sanctions to “punish Russian meddling” (especially since the “loss” of the Sevastopol base, as far as NATO’s plans were concerned), Russia seems to be doing rather well.

It will be very interesting to see just how long Western mis- and under-reporting on Russian capability endures, simply because the truth may be hidden for a long time, but not forever.

Explains why the pure-as-the-driven-snow Scandiwegians are so keen to have NATZO gang up on Russia. That smell of “something rotten in the state of Denmark” is probably one of those “stench agents” — for adding to odorless hydrocarbon gas after NATZO has subjugated Russia.

Sabetta proves again that Russia is a pre eminent technological and engineering powerhouse, best in the world. By comparison, the USSA cannot even build a high speed rail system, much less execute on mega projects such as Sabetta, or even build a bridge linking the Russian mainland to Crimea.

In a dog fight, the F35 jet, despite trillions of dollars spent in development, would lose to a 4++ generation Russian fighter.

Instead, all the USSA is good for are losing wars that make a very few people (?) rich while impoverishing everyone else, including their own dumb-ed down, befuddled citizens.

To see how badly Amerika has declined, one need only look at the education system. My son, for example, was told by his instructor that his grade in an introductory philosophy class will never be higher than the grade earned by certain minority groups, because that would be discriminatory.

Most students prefer taking degrees in oppression studies, rather than engineering or math because cultural marxism is an easier study. All you have to do is parrot the propaganda, no thinking required. Logic is now replaced by unthinking slogans uttered by moral cretins, the so called SJW’s. Read through any USSA newspaper, or listen to their media, and all you now hear are an endless stream of lies.
