The question always arises what is the ultimate goal of the demonstrators? Tsarist Russia saw fierce demonstrations in 1917 that ultimately ended in the Bolshevik Revolution and a regime that was much worse for the Russian soul and thus the Russian people and nation. I’ve always loved Pink Floyd’s music and have respect for Roger Waters but he is an English Westerner with left wing utopian views from that tradition. So the question that remains begged to ask what kind of Western socialist utopia does Mr. Waters have in mind for Chile that will solve all of her problems? I guarantee you that such a government will have nothing to do with traditional Christian governance. Yes I know Orwell was in theory an anti totalitarian socialist but how is such a society implemented and what does such a society mean for traditional Christian society. This is not a defense of Globalist Capitalism and Neoliberalism which have been just as destructive (if not more so to traditional Christian societies) as Socialism/Communism but it is an honest attempt to try to understand what kind of society that a man like Roger Waters envisions for Chile and why that would be better than what they have now for the Chilean nation and people and their soul. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn once wrote “we must rebuild a moral Russia or none at all”. If Roger Waters vision for Chile is some Fabian Socialist Utopia I truly fail to see how that would be better than what they have right now. I fully understand that Chileans running back into the arms of the Globalist Pachamama Pope is no real solution. If the Roman Catholic Church is firmly in the hands of the Evil One then the West is truly lost that is unless it returns to the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church that is Orthodoxy. My Orthodox Brother Andrei knows this to be true. The only last true Rebellion in this world is Orthodox Christianity and there is no other.
