She wrote dozens of coronavirus-related scientific works and is attached to the BSL-4 lab in Wuhan. She receieved US-american funding to study viral diseases transferring from animals to humans. Notably in 2015 she coauthored a study, in which the scientists engineered a hyper-virulent variant of H5N1 Bird Flu, which targets the ACE2-receptor (like COVID-19). One of the co-authors was Xing-Yi Ge, the first person to isolate a coronavirus from a bat that targets the ACE2 receptor. He is also attached to the Wuhan BSL-4 lab. Notably the head of the lab, Ralph Baric, claimed that people should be more concerned with the seasonal flu [than with COVID-19]. [2]
The behaviour of COVID-19 is very strange. It is incredibly “well-adapted” to spread in humans since the moment of its emergence, while a jump from animal to human normally takes a virus a long time to adapt to its new host population. To develop its sophisticated mode to enter the human hosts, the virus first needs to develop in an animal population, which is spatially densely populated (like a lab) and the animal host needs an ACE2-encoding gene which is similar to the human one. But this specific animal population is nowhere to be found and remains a zoological enigma.
Furthermore COVID-19 appears to be gentically very distant from all other bat coronaviruses. This strange genetic distance would be expected to be seen in a strain, which was driven through several “artificial” generations of lab animals and not in a strain, which emerged naturally, as a plethora of variants of COVID-19 would be present somewhere in the wild, as is the case for all other 40+ coronaviruses. Oddly the first dozen of human hosts were suffering from only one variant.
Could it be that COVID-19 emerged by accident from the lab in Wuhan? This is the direction Francis Boyle pointed out early, considering the hefty actions made by China, insinuating that they knew *something*.

So a shutdown can work for China, but cannot work for the West, which doesn’t have any reserves, is a service based economy and where people are more individualistic. This is exactly why the CCP choose the shutdown as a tool to attack the West.
So when Trump accuses China for the virus, he is actually accusing them of starting the western economic breakdown. And he is right! The virus is just a cover, the real issue is always money. Don’t get me wrong, the Western bankers are sure guilty for keeping the West weak. Bankers are like corona, they weakened the Western immune system, but it is the Chinese shutdown that is killing the West.
Things are changing: I am following some industry sites and America and the UK are retooling their industries at an unprecedented pace. I admire this quality the Americans have. And if they loose the neo con dimwits, Oceania can bounce back and become a ferocious competitor to China. North America can easily be self sufficient. It got all it needs. Then they could turn the tables on China and exploit the Chinese shortcomings. We sure live in interesting times.
Hopeful, but you know what they say about hope, it always ends in failure.
The west will pursue a quest to defeat virus’s so this can not happen again, but we are spread to thin, and to unhealthy to try this in an efficient manner, the cost will be overwhelming and many citizens health will not improve after all is said and done.
