Dear friends,
Thanks again to the fantastic work of the Russian Team I can share with you the English translation of an article I find most important at a time when so many commentators and analysts are completely misreading the situation in Novorussia. This article (translated by Marina and proofread/edited by Alex, John and Michael – thanks guys!) addresses some of the most prevalent arguments used by what I would call the “Dugin camp” to, yet again, stir up a panic when there is no reason for it (but then, Dugin has been having panic attacks as soon as he realized that Putin would not send the military into the Donbass). Frankly, while I never liked Dugin very much, I now am beginning to find him outright dangerous and I am delighted to be able to share with you a sober-minded analysis of what took place in Minsk. This analysis has been written by Yuri Baranchik, candidate of philosophy, director the Information-Analytical Internet Portal “Imperia” and former director of the State Scientific Research Institute of the Academy of Theory and Practice of Government of the President of Belarus. He is a regular contributor to the website Vzgliad where I found this article (original Russian text here).
Kind regards,
The Saker
PS: there is one good thing about Dugin’s latest panic campaign: it puts to rest the theory mantrically put forth by the western MSM about Dugin being “Putin’s ideologue” or “Putin’s ideological advisor” and any other such nonsense. This was never true (unlike Dugin, Putin never was a Bolshevik), but at least now this is obviously and undeniably untrue.

Novorussia – Surrender or victory?
by Yuri Baranchik
So, what happened in Minsk? Surrender or victory? This is the kind of argument that not only the average citizen of our immense territory is currently having, but unfortunately, also a significant part of the expert community. There is no simple answer to this question without considering what had happened a week earlier in Brussels at the EU summit and at the NATO summit on the 4th and 5th of September in Newport, Wales.
Russia won a political victory in Brussels: the EU (Germany and the countries of the Old Europe) refused to impose new sanctions against Russia under pressure from the United States and its most loyal vassal states (Britain, Poland, the Baltic States and Ukraine). Thus, the EU chose not to escalate the conflict with Russia on the eve of winter. Furthermore, the EU itself has advised a way out of the situation on the South Stream and remove it from the sanctions of the Third Energy Package: to apply the same rules that apply to offshore projects of the EU; for example in Bulgaria, to allow Gazprom to buy them and connect them to the “South Stream”.
Despite the many hints and threats from the USA’s poodles on the eve of the summit of NATO member countries (as we have discussed in detail in the article “The fate of Novorossia: the US raising the stakes”: a) a threat of deployment of a European missile defense system against Russia; b) establishing five new NATO bases in Poland, Romania and the Baltic States; c) breaching the terms of the Founding Act “Russia – NATO”), the summit only concluded with an official statement, which reflects the opinion of the North Atlantic Alliance on the current events on the territory of the disintegrating Ukraine.
As expected, NATO condemned the Russian military invasion of the Ukraine; urged Russia to withdraw its military from Ukraine; to cease its assistance to the militias and intervening in the situation in Ukraine under any pretext. There was no discussion of anything else – not about the violation of the terms of the Founding “Russia – NATO” Act, the deployment of the European missile defense, or of NATO bases in the five above-mentioned countries. According to Rasmussen, he took into consideration (it can’t be said any better) the desire of the Poles, Balts and Romanians to place NATO “transit points” on their territories.
What does this tell us? The EU, despite all of the threats and cries of the U.S. and their accommodating “tough-talking” poodles, is not ready to go beyond the current level of confrontation with Russia. Germany, the countries of not only the Old Europe (Greece, Italy) but also the New Europe (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary) have opposed the escalating level of anti-Russian rhetoric, the development of new sanctions, and especially, the inclusion of mechanisms and instruments of pressure by NATO.
Furthermore, the recent summits in Brussels and Newport showed that Europe wants to end the current tense relationship with Russia as quickly as possible and return to the previous level of cooperation, despite, let me stress, the current events in Ukraine. In fact, Europe agrees with the return to Russia of her historical territories (Crimea and those regions of Ukraine which had been given to her by the Bolsheviks) in exchange for an uninterrupted supply of gas and the continuation of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.
The reason for this is that Europe is not happy with the new format of Ukraine’s statehood, which was established there after the February revolution. Therefore, this dangerous regime, which entails instability, has to end. In the way it was hinted at the talks in Minsk on the eve of winter.
Therefore, the achievement of the ceasefire agreement between the junta and the representatives of Novorossia in Minsk is a major victory for Russia, because it didn’t allow the United States to sever relations between Russia and Europe and gave Europe the necessary arguments for the rejection and blocking both in Brussels and in Newport, of the decisions that the US was prepared to launch against Russia. It is a big joint victory for Russia and the EU today.
Now let’s go back to the long-suffering Novorossiya. Many, even such distinguished experts as Boris Rozhin, consider what has happened as a sell-out of Novorossia. Let’s look at this in more detail.
First, apparently, Poroshenko and the junta are not going to abide by the terms of the truce – the shelling of Donetsk, Lugansk, and Gorlovka and the fighting in the district of Mariupol by the junta’s troops continue. Therefore, the hands of the resistance forces are no longer tied.
Secondly, if attacks by the junta’s troops were to stop and the peaceful and boring process of negotiations were to resume, where would those residents of Ukraine, who are now under the authority of a neo-banderite fascist junta, shift most of their attention to? That’s right; it’d switch to the internal problems: the price of food, gasoline, inflation; unemployment; the hryvna’s weakening exchange rate; gangsterism, and etc. etc. Poroshenko will be pretending that he is making decisions because he needs to win the parliamentary elections.
What will Kolomoisky, Lyashko, the battalions of the National Guard and all those others who are interested in kindling the fires of war, do? What are they supposed to do? There is nothing for them to do in such circumstances; therefore, tensions within the junta will increase. Even if Russia and Germany are able to continue to keep Poroshenko from the use of force in the East, sooner or later the abscess inside the junta will burst.
About the “new Transnistria”. This is what the experts scare the population and neophytes with as a proof of the American party and the government’s slogan that “Putin sold out”. The fact is that the phenomenon of Transnistria has only become so because of one factor – the absence of a common border with Russia. Nothing else. Abkhazia and South Ossetia have a common border with Russia which is another matter. Yes, technically they are all unrecognized states. But in reality, I emphasize, in reality Abkhazia and South Ossetia, unlike Transnistria, are under the protection of the Russian army, and no-one in his right mind would dare stick his nose in there..
Therefore, the scenario of a “new Transnistria” in relation to the DPR and LPR is out of the question – the common border with Russia rules out such a scenario. Yes, these regions will have an uncertain status for some time. However, after the bursting of the abscess in Kiev or another scenario the two regions of Novorossia will be joined by the other five that were handed over to Ukraine by the Bolsheviks. And that will be the end of Ukraine in its present form.
In conclusion, about the main question: why did Russia choose this course and not speed up events in Novorossia? The first reason has already been mentioned: it was necessary to give Germany and Europe the arguments required not to allow the US to implement their prepared-in-advance positions at the summits in Brussels and Newport.
Secondly, it is necessary to provide Europe with a calm winter and not to let those Eastern European countries that depend on gas supplies through Ukraine, to freeze. Because, if chaos begins on the territory of the Ruin and the gas pipelines begin to be blown up, Eastern Europe will freeze, and the US will then have very strong arguments with which to put pressure on the EU in regards to Russia’s position in the Ukrainian crisis.
Therefore, the question of uninterrupted gas supplies to Europe in the winter is one of the most important ones. This alone is a reason for the ceasefire, not to mention the welfare of the peaceful inhabitants of Novorossia.
Besides, a cold and hungry winter will bring to their senses those in Ukraine who are now controlled by the junta. The junta will be pushed out after the winter anyway.
Thirdly, the rapid capture of all seven regions of Novorossia would give the US a pretext to build a new iron curtain. Not somewhere in Germany, but right on the border with Russia and in the form of the notorious NATO bases in the Baltic States, Poland, and Romania. At the same time, we would permanently lose the rest of Ukraine, which is unacceptable. That is, any immediate division of Ukraine gives us a victory: so much was captured and so quickly. However, from a strategic and long-term perspective, such a scenario would in the end be our defeat, because we would lose the rest of Ukraine and in addition, would allow the US to take full and complete control over Europe.
***
That’s why we need all of Ukraine, which, similar to Belarus, will be friendly to Russia and join (with the possible exception of the three Western regions) the Eurasian Economic Union. Together we will then form a trade zone with the EU that will unite the entire Eurasian continent from France and Holland to China, Iran and India in a single trade and economic zone.
http://cassad-eng.livejournal.com/89798.html
As predicted by nearly everyone. There never was a truce. This makes it more difficult for the NAF now.
They have been sold out by Putin for very little in return.
Sanctions gonna happen regardless. If the momentum of the last two weeks reverses NAF gains, Putin has to be blamed.
Obviously Putin doesn’t want a bifurcation of Ukraine.
The battle is not just in Ukraine – it is for the EU as well.
Ongoing fighting in NovoRussia only adds credence to US mainstream media blather about Russia aggression.
Sure, the truce will be broken. Even in the US, however, the party line is breaking up as truce violations on both sides are now being talked about.
The smarty pants talk about voentorg is also counterproductive. I applaud the NovoRussians spirit, but the entire point of covert aid is that its…covert.
Outside of Nuland’s $5b admission and her cookies at Maidan, you don’t see such poor information management on the junta side. The fact that Ukraine spent hundreds of millions buying Hungarian and Polish ex-Soviet equipment is just about invisible.
Here is all we need to know: 1 and 2
The Cease-fire is neither a surrender or victory. The document speaks for itself—placing some of the players in neutral zone.
But what does it matter the real sponsor of this civil war, the U.S. leadership is against any cease-fire.
How can we forget U.S senator John McCain (R.Az). Remember him on Maidan with VickiNu?
1. Very curious that senator John McCain, war monger-in-chief, instigator of all colored revolutions, including Kiev, visited on Friday, 05 met with Yatz, the chosen one, as negotiations of the “cease-fire” was taking place.
Here he is in a video interview with Financial Times,

Ukraine president visits frontline city amid ‘shaky’ ceasefire
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko (R) greets workers during his visit to the Ilich Iron and Steel Works in the southern coastal town of Mariupol September 8, 2014.
(Reuters) – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko visited the eastern port of Mariupol on Monday and promised to deal a ‘crushing defeat’ to pro-Russian rebels massed on the edge of town if they tried to advance in violation of a ceasefire agreement.
“I have ordered (the military) to secure the defense of Mariupol with howitzers, multiple rocket launchers, tanks, anti-tank weapons and air cover,” Poroshenko told a crowd of steel workers in the port on the Sea of Azov near the Russian border.[.]
[.]“Mariupol was, is and will be Ukrainian,” Poroshenko declared.
“The enemy will suffer a crushing defeat,” said Poroshenko, who agreed to the ceasefire and a wider peace plan after the rebels – backed, Kiev says, by Russian firepower – made sweeping battlefield gains. Russia denies involvement.[.]

Dearest Sister,
Very true when Crimea become part of Russia. But why now Petro Poroshenko, EU, NATO and the Empire are not taking of Crimea any more?
So, it goes with my theory that both Obama and Putin are in cahoots. Crimea was given to Russia as a reward for saving the Empire.
So is the United Federalized Ukraine as per Putin’s wishes.
Did you see the 14 points or the 12 points covering the issue of Crimea?
We have so short memories that the Whole World has forgotten about Crimea including the folks on this blog.
I rest my case. BTW, I wasn’t talking about democracy, as The Empire does give hoots about Ukraine democracy.
Best regards,
Mohamed.
Some musings on the situation:
We are stuck with the ceasefire even if some think it wrong. So hopefully we are using it to our advantage. And stop complaining about something we can’t change.By bringing in more volunteers and weapons.Troop training and recruitment.Reinforcing positions, and checking out, and building bomb shelters.Make sure the old cold war ones are working and stocked.Repairing infrastructure as best we can, water and electricity.Getting food, medicine, and clothing supplies in from Russia.Winter is coming and we need a plan for gas.And war clothing for civilians AND TROOPS.Making sure the people in public services are loyal to Novorossii not to Kiev.Plan out or begin doing the clearing of Ukie troops from the pink areas and cauldrons. The Donetsk airport in particular has to fall.Keeping up,and building morale among the people. Many good people died to win freedom in Novorossii. And that should stir determination to make sure they keep it and unite the other areas, including Odessa.Send SRG’s behind the lines. The ceasefire is where it is.The other Oblasts are open.We know there are partisan bands in two right now.Coordinate with them. And help them plan for when the ceasefire ends.I’ve always been appalled that we weren’t derailing those arms trains that came to the east. But through-out all Novorossii build cells that know what to hit and who to hit.Find out whats happening in Transcarpathia. Is it all talk,or are they going to fight. If all talk, that’s still good.Make the Ukie think its serious and they’ll have to keep troops there. If they are going to fight.Plan with them for with the ceasefire ends to start a second front.Plan out how to take Mariupol as soon as the ceasefire ends or if we want to bottle it and head west instead.Poroshenko is there now promising they will never give it up.And more troops are being sent. The Azov say they’ll crush us in street to street fighting. If we are going to take the city we need inside people to neutralize some of that. And I’m wondering about an attack through the harbor.A trained combat group quietly liberating that area. And allowing for more troops to enter behind the Ukie defenders.Quickly taking the city with most of the blood shed being Ukie would make Poroshenko look more of an ass.And might stir the coup against him.I think having the neo-nazis overthrow him would benefit our side. The West couldn’t claim they were legitimate. And that would disunite the Ukies even more.As for Russia and sanctions, they are coming. There is no-way around them.Putin hopefully knows that and can withstand them.We won’t have long to get these things done.Sooner than later the Ukie will really break the ceasefire and attack with the new and the rested old troops they have, and whatever equipment they get or rebuild.
And lastly,if we win. What happens then.A fully indepentent Novorossii is a given. And it needs to be the full Novorossii, all 8 or 9 Oblasts (depending on the border). But do they want to consider a Federal Union with the rest of Ukraine.Still as a separate republic. But joined in a Union.Novorossii will have around 50% of the population. So it would be a true Union. The benefits from that are several. They are still free and self governing. But they don’t have to worry about the Ukie’s never accepting them free and constant warfare. It gives them the ability (as the winners) to root out all the nazi rats from what’s left of Ukraine. And it cancels out the NATO propaganda about Russia stealing the land.As well as stops NATO from taking the other areas for bases. So then who would be someone to set up as Ukie leader to deal with once the junta is gone.Granted I don’t know a great deal about him.But I’m impressed with General Ruban. He seems to have the trust of people on both sides.Well these are just as I said a few musings to consider.
Those who think that “all of Ukraine” will join the Eurasian Economic Union are delusional. Bear in mind that blood has been spilled, so the genie is out of the bottle. I don’t see how Western Ukraine will agree to be part of this.
Simply put, Russia is too weak to get Ukraine into its sphere of influence.
And the problem here are the russian rulers. They did a weak job, Russia remains a relatively weak country and this is why it can not even counter western influence on its borders.
This whole Ukraine debacle wouldn’t even happen if Russia was a strong country.
It is happening because russian weakness is provocative. And this is why there will be more sanctions.
Let’s wait and see if the EU can get their unwilling countries like Slovakia and Czech Rep in line. My guess is they will.
And VanRompuy put a condition to the sanctions: they will not be implemented if there a “real peace-talks”. That’s ridiculous, we all know that “real peace-talks” in western language mean “surrender”.
And before talking about a gas-boycott, there are other means:
Overflight-rights, or how about sanctions on western cars? That would be a screamer.
And remember:”An apple a day keeps Putin away” (Quote from German Minister of agriculture)
Time is on the eastern side,
madness on the western side.
@Everybody,
Why do people on this blog think that I am against Putin for being in cahoots to save the Empire?
Why do people on this blog think that Putin is wrong to look out first and foremost for Mother Russia?
Why do people on this blog think it is bad for Putin to accept Crimea and United Federalized Ukraine as rewards?
Are we into Putin’s Worshiping or God’s Worshiping?
I am not saying that Putin is a bad man and not an excellent leader. What I am saying as President of Russia, he has taken an oath to look after the interests of Mother Russia and nothing else.
Rest is his conscious and kindness. He will like all of us, will stand one day in front of a Just God!
Best regards,
Mohamed.
Based on the assumption that Yuri Baranchik is correct in his analysis and prediction of Europe’s intentions, the following can only be true, if the IMF-US-NATO empire gives up their one and only advantage; the strategic depth of the Ukrainian army. Why would they do that?
Nevertheless, as, the forward momentum from the Maidan was redirected from freedom from crooked oligarchs to a Russian scapegoating murderous orgy of fickle hillbillies, by the very same thieving oligarchs and their CIA handlers, peace is not an option. Without the Russian enemy image to scapegoat, the junta would implode in short order; their cover and social cohesion comes from this murderous myth.
Thus, the question becomes, how can the cabal of thieving murdering oligarch and their handlers maintain their power, keep the peace accord, and their hillbilly support under the soon to be crushing IMF austerity hardships?
Don’t forget, in this line of thinking, we are making the assumption that Baranchik is correct in his analysis and prediction of Europe’s intentions of a rapprochement with Russia. I personally think it’s delusional. There are reports of Europe going “All In”: Will Sanction Rosneft, Gazprom Neft And Transneft
Moreover, as Ukraine is occupied territory, the only way that the cabal can maintain their power, keep the enemy image, and adhere to the peace accord, is by a second redirection of the enemy image; a staged event in the wester part of Ukraine to refocus their hate and momentum. (Transnestria or Odessa region?)
From a false flag, they will be able to couch their “retreat” as a heroic regrouping, as they move their war machine west of the Dnieper. They would maintain the Russian enemy image, retain their support of the angry hillbillies, keep the peace in the Donbas, allow gas to flow to Europe, secure the gas processioning and export facilities at Odessa, and have a new mission from their fuhrer.
In the above assessment, which is based on the assumption that Yuri Baranchik is correct in his analysis of European intentions, Europe has not shown any concrete steps in this direction. What they say and what they do are not in accord. Therefore, and unless Europe takes concrete steps to show its willingness to work with Russia, I find that Yuri Baranchik’s assertions are based in wishful thinking, not reality. Moreover, I find it hard to believe that Royal Dutch Shell would willingly abandon their flammable dreams for Sloviansk or that the empire would settle for anything less than all of Ukraine.
On the monetary front, and apologies if this has already been posted:
http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2014/09/michael-hudson-losing-credibility-imfs-new-cold-war-loan-ukraine.html
Much of the article is ‘old news’ but here it is all put in a cohesive explanation of actual illegalities being performed by the IMF – economists would have been taking note, particularly those in Europe I would think. This buttresses Saker’s arguments for giving time time, I would think.
I really enjoy your website and I also respect your analysis MOST of the time. But from the tenor of your recent posts it seems youve lost your objectivity on this subject. Youve actually lowered yourself by attacking personally those that disagree with you. Get off your high horse saker. Youre a blogger. The men fighting and dying to defend New Russia have a much bigger say on the matter than you and a bunch of self interested russian intellectuals.
I respect Putin but he is wrong to put the interests of Russian economy above the people of New Russia. Money is money. People are people.
Hes wrong on this one and being a rabid Putin apologist doesnt help your objectivity meter.
I dont come here to hear a putin chearleader. I come here for sober unbiased analysis. The past few posts of yours it actually seems like you are trying to forcefully convince the readers that putin and you are correct and everybody else is wrong.
Nato is laughing their asses off. They are surrounding New Russia with all their heavy armor and rockets and batallions and some bloggers are trying to convince the New Russians that this is somehow good for them. Humans arent chess pieces to be thrown to the once once they are no longer useful.
Despicable. Truly despicable.
Im not a Dugin fan.
But Its obvious that this latest “ceasefire” protocol was a screwjob.
And very likely from the 6th coloumnist Surkov!.
Surkov also attended a meeting with Poroschenko yesterday in Kiev.
Surkov, Kyrginin and Kolomoisky has been trying to waggle deals also earlier this summer.
Surkov and his oligarch friends are traitors. And oviously do not have neither Russia or novorossia best interest at hearth!.
Putin is not part of this screwjob.
The question is not about there beeing a 6th coloumnis coup attempt of novorossia.
The question is: Will they allow an independent LPR/DPR, or will they sell the regions to Poroschenko so the prople can get raped!.
And second question, is novorossia able to deal with these traitors?.
as per my earlier contribution here: Akhmetov is supplying the kerateli *from Donetsk*, meanwhile his property has been suspiciously exempt from junta bombardment

Mozgovoi is now calling for the leaders of DPR and LPR to resign.
And there is a statement by Strelkov (apart from the one he wrote yesterday) expected on the situation.
Things are unraveling quickly. Whether that’s “good” or ‘bad”, remains to be seen.
“Think of it this way. Ukraine has lost over 11 million citizens since March of this year. That is 25% of the population.”
11 million?
From my knowledge Ukraine has lost 11 million in last 20years (most emigrated, or died of old age etc. Low birth rate).
About 1 million has fled the country this year.
And ukr coup gov has lost about 50.000 soldiers (killed, wounded, deserted).
Lost aprox 80 aircrafts.
Lost many hundred tanks (even foreign delivered ones).
Lost over 1000 army vehicles (apc, trucks, etc).
But Surkov and the 6th coloumnist most likely sold off the novorossians, to a fate as slaves/bitches who have to serve and be brainwashed by Poroschenko and the kiev coup stooges.
“The basics of which I think Saker and many of us here have concluded before about why Russia occupying Ukrainian territory would be harmful in the long run (besides being what the ZPC/NWO wants to happen).”
That is actually a misguided analyze by many.
Usa had nothing to loose here, only victories.
Usa do NOT want Russia to intervene in Ukraine, because then they will not be able to escelate the sanctions. If Russia intervenes, then they can either escelate 1 notch or nothing.
And the coup projects then stops.
It was never about making Russia intervene, it was _always_ about how far the usa bully could pick at the bear without the bear snapping.
As long as a bully can pick at its victims, the bully will continue and escelate.
It was a test, to see how far usa can go in destabilizing and taking controll of all the neighbour countries around Russia.
If anyone think that this will stop with ukraine, if russia “plays nice”, then those naive people are frigging out of their minds. Or been misled by zionist campaigns in getting people to believe it had anything to do with tricking russia to invade.
IF russia had invaded from the start, then this circus would _NEVER_ had the chance to escelate to nowhere near these levels!.
And by not invading against the kiev coup, it only leads to the usa-bully driving campaign against russia, so it can put russia into kneepositions.
And will lead usa to do the same with next neighbour countries around russia, because “it worked” to destabilize russia.
Russia lost a 50million tradecountry (ukraine). And lost alot of ukraine infrastructure for russian military etc in ukraine.
And gets alot more nato bases around russia soon.
And rekondled life in nato.
Etc
Etc.
In my opinion, it is essential to see the battle for Novorossia as a tactic in the strategic battle to secure Russian civilization. The strategy is the aim, the objective, the vision of Russia’s Euransanist impulse. Vladimir Putin is a rare man who is a master of strategy and a master of tactics.
Whether one identifies with the cease fire as a betrayal or a victory shows me that one, while perhaps a master of either tactics or strategy, is not a master of both. Vladimir Putin is inclusive of the Eurasanists of the Dugin camp and he is inclusive of the masters of tactics like Colonel Cassad’s crew. It is his genius to listen and consider in their appropriate realm each camp’s experience. It is not a question of victory or betrayal, but a question of using tactics to achieve a strategic objective.
Russia’s suffering has forged men and women who are included in the Russian Life. I think the Strelkov odyssey is illustrative of the phenomenon of a man who heroically defended Novorossiya, but who deferred to the Kremlin’s strategic prerogative, even though he might not agree or understand, he is valued at the highest levels of Russian civilization. His martial heroism is eclipsed by the greater heroism of stepping back in the interest of the greater good.
I recently read Gulag Archipelago and was struck that those suffering and dying in the forced labor camps never lost their sense of sacrificing for Russia….the civilization. It seems to me, we Westerners of the Anglo-Zionist Empire have been deprived of the feeling and knowing that civilization is not the same as the state. We have been programmed to accept the state as equivalent to the people or the civilization. The dictatorship of the state against the soul of a people is the larger battle being played out in Novorossiya.
We…subjects of the Anglo-Zionist Empire would do well to study the difference between state and civilization. Vladimir Putin has returned the state to its proper role of serving the Russian civilization, all Russians, even oligarch’s who recognize and accept the larger strategy of securing Russian civilization, and step back as did the heroic Strelkov, will have a place in Russian civilization.

Dearest juliania,
Ukraine being bankrupt and IMF is still not funding them:
1. How is Ukraine paying Russia for the Gas?
I Googled it, but there is no recent information about it.
2. How is the Ukraine Government functioning without money?
3. How are they paying the Government Workers’ salaries?
4. Where are they getting money to fund the Wars against the anti-Kiev?
And, many, many more questions!

An English summation of Mozgovoi’s address and demands:
https://www.facebook.com/vladimir.suchan/posts/10152345123568388
1. The signing of the “Minsk Protocol about Truce” was an act of treason. The leaders of the people’s republics who signed it must resign.
2. 90% of the people of Novorossiya and 100% of the Army of Novorossiya are against the Truce Protocol and the conditions (of surrender) which the Protocol contains.
3. Ceasefire does not exist. There is no peace. The alleged ceasefire is farce.
4. Kuchma’s signature means nothing. That also means that the Kiev junta itself did not actually sign anything. Only the two leaders of the people’s republics took unilaterally certain obligations on behalf of the people’s republics, usurping and abusing their positions to do so.
5. In creating and signing the Protocol (resembling the Munich Deal of 1938), the given leadership had no interest in asking those, the soldiers and the people of Novorossiya, who fight for the right to be free and to have their will respected, what they think.
6. The battle has to be carried to its victorious end. There is no other way.
7. Oligarchic power in Ukraine must be destroyed
8. No “special status” for Novorossiya, as stated in the Minsk Protocol, within a “united,” “indivisible,” Nazi, Banderite, oligarchic Ukraine!
More at link:
Comment from Petri Krohn on above-linked page:
The troops parading here in Perevalsk (Alchevsk) are mostly Russian volunteers from the Rostov region – the Cossack Battalion. I have seen more and more armor coming from somewhere in Russia. It seems that oligarch rule is breaking down in Rostov. People are just grabbing tanks and driving them to Donbass.
Don’t forget, Baranchik’s assessment is based on wishful thinking of a European possible rapprochement and a desire for peace; both are understandable and are exactly what we what to hear. However, they are not based in reality, it is wishful thinking. The reality is that Kiev was only willing to negotiating due to the threat to Mariupol, nothing more. I stated this in yesterday’s blog titled, The Novorussian ceasefire agreement
Being one of Ukraine’s major ports, loosing Mariupol, would be detrimental to Ukraine’s teetering economy. Moreover, it removes any junta claims to the off-shore oil and gas deposits! Take a look-see at the following map!
Now we begin to understand why Kolomosky threatened the Samson option to blow up the dam on the Dnieper river and kill everyone in the cities along the river from the dam to Odessa. Everything begins to fall in place. Just the threat of taking Mariupol was enough to bring the Kiev junta to its scenes. When it comes to oil and gas, the junta and their handlers are not the negotiating types.
bob kay,
You bring a special depth of thought and reference with your comments.
I appreciate them. Thank you for participating.
The following compilation gives us an idea of how out of touch with reality is the notion of a possible “united Ukraine”. It’s very simple. Rusophobia and fascism in the western parts of that country is far, far too spread and intense for that to happen.

FWIW a political survey was recently carried out in Ukraine. It asked respondents who they would vote for if an election was held now. The survey was carried out between August 23 and September 2, involving face-to-face interviews with 2040 individuals throughout the country. Lugansk was excluded because of fighting, but Donetsk was included. Sampling error was calculated to be 1.4% to 3.3% depending on region.
The overall turnout would be ~58% of all eligible voters. By region, 40% in east and ~20% in the south would not vote at all.
The results were published just before the ceasefire. Within the constraints and limitations of such surveys, it shows a dramatic drop in support for the Yatsenyuk, Tchurnikov, Avakov block and for Timoshenko. Poroshenko seems to have taken on Dr Olga Bogomolets who seems to have realists views. The Poroshenko block gets votes of ~38% of those who would vote at all, Yatsenyuk’s group and Timoshenko get ~6%. Yarosh would get ~ 2%. The disconcerting news is that Liashko gets ~13%.
These results may not reflect the respective effective power of each block, as in the past, the Right Sektor only gained ~2% of the votes but managed to get control of several key positions in the government.
Great job Gayle! Keep in touch!
Exactly what I said, I totally support Mozgovoi address and demands:
Recent update from voicesevas.ru —
20-30. Reports from blogger Eugene Shabaeva.
“I’m sure that on 12 September, at the latest truce ends in Donbas large-scale war. Everything about it says. And the redeployment of troops from destruction, no unnecessary Lugansk and the deployment of troops and covert support redeployment towards Kramators’k and Mariupol. They’re going to cut the 15000th contingent of army Novorossia into 3 parts. South boiler in Mariupol, Lugansk and in North Central in Donetsk. We must be ready and rebuff.”
Maybe this is just another blogger’s view but if correct this iteration of the ceasefire is not going to last anyway. According to the updates on voicesevas.ru there’s continuing battles and skirmishes going on.
btw the Boris Rozhin referred to in the article is colonel cassad for those who don’t know.
“We…subjects of the Anglo-Zionist Empire would do well to study the difference between state and civilization. Vladimir Putin has returned the state to its proper role of serving the Russian civilization, all Russians, even oligarch’s who recognize and accept the larger strategy of securing Russian civilization, and step back as did the heroic Strelkov, will have a place in Russian civilization”
President Putin could be the man in Catholic prophecy, who, according to the Fatima apparition, will bring back EU to its forgotten Christian roots and betrayed civilization.
Well, this is a pretty dismal thread – pretty feel betrayed pretty easily it seems. I like Baranchik’s analysis and I like what Auslander here and Larchmonter have to say also.
Two days ago Alexander Mercouris wrote about this ceasefire – again, sadly on his Facebook page and nowhere else – and pointed out the most significant fact was that the Ukraine side actually conducted a dialog with Novorossia, since Putin made it clear RF wasn’t part of the argument. This is a great advance.
I’m aware that Baranchick is talking here about the seven regions, not the current two, of Novorossia, and this is great to hear. I also love Mozgovoi and I’m saddened to see what seems like so much discord in the rank and file of NAF right now.
But here’s a snippet on this very point of “advancing to Kiev”, from Mercouris’s post, which I recommend in full:
“I suspect what disappoints most people about the ceasefire (see the comments made about it for example by Gleb Bazov and Colonel Cassad) is that it appears to rule out the option of an NAF march on Kiev to overthrow the junta. However the reality is that this option had been ruled out some time ago as was made clear by Zakharchenko at his press conference of 2 weeks ago (see my discussion at the time on this Page). The whole tone and content of Zakharchenko’s comments since he was confirmed as the DPR’s leader is that the NAF is fighting a purely defensive war to defend its people and territory. I appreciate that this is disappointing for many people but there it is.”
His post is here:

Just 8 days ago they said:
Top Novorussian leaders deny reports that either LPR or DPR were prepared to accept continued political unity with the Ukraine
Both Purgin (vice PM) and Zakharchenko (PM) of DPR issued statements flatly denying the mass media reports that either LPR or DPR were prepared to accept continued political unity with Ukraine.
My opinion is the following : freeze the situation as it is with minor adjustments (empty the cauldrons against some other territory) to make a homogeneous and fortified (if somewhat smaller than hoped at the start of the war) fortress Novorossia with the Russian border as protection at the back. Novorussians, Try to keep what you’ve got already and secure it for now. That’s the most importantthing right now. For the rest, History will tell, and God eventually will provide.

I have no idea who Mozgovoi is, but he seems incapable of logical thought.
A protocol is an agreement between two sides. It is only valid if both sides agree to it.
Mozgovoi states “Kuchma’s signature means nothing. That also means that the Kiev junta itself did not actually sign anything”
If this is the case, then the protocol is null and void. The two names at the end without statement of position are presumably “the two leaders of the people’s republics” therefore by Mozgovoi’s own admission, they have not committed to anything. I believe Zakharchenko is a lawyer so he would be fully aware of this.
Furthermore, this document is a protocol, not a treaty. As someone else carefully explained earlier, all it does if specify what things should be done. It does not say when, and it does not specify what happens if things are not done. That is the purpose of a treaty – which this document most definitely is not.
The protocol states “Ensure the immediate bilateral cessation of the use of weapons”. The important word is ‘bilateral’ This means both sides have to cease, not just the Novorossians. Is anyone surprised that the Ukies were firing at Donetsk and Lugansk before the ink was dried.
It states “Adopt measures aimed at improving the humanitarian situation in Donbass” How can that be treason? When should it be done? Today? In a thousand years? It doesn’t say – because it isn’t a treaty.
It talks about “Remove unlawful military formations, military hardware, as well as militants and mercenaries from the territory of Ukraine”. The Novorossians have said they are independent of Ukraine. How can taking these actions in Ukraine be treason? By what date should it be done? etc, etc.
He states 90% of the people of Novorossiya are against it. How does he know that? Has he surveyed all the people who sought refuge in Russia?
Mozgovoi may be a very capable military man, but he seemingly knows nothing about logic, legal issues, politics and chess. He should stick to what he knows. Both sides signing this protocol know it is meaningless. It was just a poltical tool, establishing both the concept and the actuality of negotiations between Kiev and Donbass.
Mozgovoi may win the battle but he would probably lose the war. The battle is Ukraine, the war is Russia. If the US succeeds in replacing Putin with a Yeltsin, then Novorossia is toast whatever pieces of paper are signed and by whom.
He needs to calm down and see what has changed in the short period of the ceasefire. The soldiers have had a few days rest. There is a suggestion that returning Ukie forces may act against the Kiev regime. The Ukies haven’t had time to reorganize. They are still shooting. The NAF hasn’t retreated. In practice nothing of real significance has changed.
Seeing Mozgovoy demands, I have no choice but to support them
Therefore seems reasonable after having left and lost everything to take up arms. Actually, the Minsk agreement seems like a bad joke.
What has started in Novorossiya is a revolution of the masses of different origins and ideology, and that, as
Mozgovoy points, is carried to its logical conclusion, other
so not worth the effort to stay the same in the hands of oligarchs.
I know this, the idea of a revolution of the common people, not like in high places in Moscow, let alone in the West, as it is a bad example for the suffered workers, not only from Europe, and America, but the world.
People simply are tired of slaving to get him just to survive and pay bills. With a prospect of a future of poverty without quality public services and a declining standard of living that could be traced to two centuries ago, many people do not have as much to lose but life. We’ve all seen the videos for all these months, how these people lived in the Donbass. For me it has not gone unnoticed the quality of their homes, the quality of the roads, the quality of life.
They were simply abandoned to their fate in the hands of oligarchs. That were kicked up over hordes of blood thirsty neo-Nazi, could only give a result.
What you can not ask these people after all this, even V.V.Putin, with everything that has been able to help, is to return to the same.
I also would fight to the end.
People of Novorossiya, get out there, all together, and compel V.V.Putin to meet your demands!
I am sure he will be willing to hear.
It’s only fair.
Re: Is Iarosh dead?
If true and coming off the recent generous comments of Saker concerning same–
Perhaps you have some nice words for Kolomoisky too.
Dear Saker,
Many thanks for the translation, but it does raise a point that several other postings have previously touched on, Britain.
I must say, I am–and for a good while have been–throughly disgusted by what “my” government (a.k.a. The Establishment) has been doing in the name of the folks of the British Isles (a.k.a. the Disunited Queendom).
That we are “ruled” by incompetants is obvious to any one in the DQ with a functioning brain, as is shown by everything that the “authorities” have done and continue to do. That the media is complicit in the crimes in the Ukraine is also obvious, though most folk I know ignore the media, and anyone with an interest gets the information from the net. Couple this with the widespread profound disillusionment with a corrupt and dysfunctional political system, and you will realise that most people here are waiting to see what happens (especially, e.g., as the huge march against the Iraq invasion was ignored): if things turn seriously bad in any way, there will be correspondingly serious “social unrest” (as they say). To say the DQ is a powder keg would be no understatement. (Keep an eye on the upcoming Scottish referendum: whatever happens, expect fireworks to follow!)
It is obvious from my viewpoint that the quality of the Establishment shows that they are mere rubber-stamps for decisions made elsewhere. Doubtless, their unenlightened self-interest will yet lead them to try and escape the consequences of their actions: despite any hardship I may personally suffer, I trust that offended states will not relent in paying them back equitably when the time comes. ;)
Being of Celto-Viking extraction, one side of me sympathises with the victimized in the Ukraine (and beyond), while the other half dearly wants my Russ cousins to teach the evil-doers a lesson that will not long be forgotten. I am heartened by developments and hope that the visionary land of Tsiolkovsky, Korolev and Gagarin (among others) continues to show beleagured Europe the way back.
Kindest regards and best wishes,
Angus Ogg.
Listen, once again, i agree on some of the coments, about the reality of this multifasetted sceem they are runing, Zato I meant to say.
The false flagg is 99% certain will ocure or in the vincitys of the Balitcs, Lituhania/Latvian, since the ZATO storm strops are there right now.
There is rumors about Latv/Litv that is going to disapear, and “conviniently” taken? by or killed, something so they can justify anything, like the beheading of some so called Journalists, whom is more Mossad stamp on their back of their heads than anything else.
Just to give you a warning.
Pay attention, the MSM is in full war modus, and I havent seen thsi kind of bollocs for years.
And once again, I am abitt confused, about this site, no offence, but the out come of this, “war” is imense, and can have far reatching consequnesses, by that I mean the fight for indep. done by the Scots, whom some MP in the British par. wants to bomb Scotland to submission.
The world have gone raving f… crasy.
And to further hammer this into you all, on how deep everything goes this days, in all humbleness.
And this is my gift ot the Arabs and those that is stil adult nanouf to admitt the blatant imerialism we have witnesse for centurys, not decades but upto milleniums.

I hope, for peace, but I know, the war have just begun.
I dont like the present warpimpings.
For the first time in my life, and I grew up, just 2 km from the Russian border, under the cold war, and now I am afraid.
The situation is escalating.
F….er want a ww3, and they want it badly, since the economy is crashing, they need someone to blame, and Russia is the end game.
My hart and soul is with the Noevorussians, all the way.
Never give in and never give up.

Russia to choke off gas re-exports to Ukraine
Supply threat comes as EU agrees further sanctions on energy companies
By Christian Oliver in Brussels and Courtney Weaver in Moscow
Moscow is seeking to prevent its European customers re-exporting Russian gas to Ukraine, threatening to choke off a crucial lifeline for Kiev and deepen the energy crunch it faces this winter.
The threats come as EU ambassadors finally approved new sanctions against Russia on Monday night that are expected to target the country’s largest state-owned energy companies.
But following concerns raised by new Finnish prime minister Alex Stubb, the sanctions will not become official for a “few days” giving Brussels time to assess whether last week’s ceasefire can take hold.
[.]
The EU sanctions are against three state-controlled Russian energy companies – Rosneft, Gazpromneft and Transneft – that will sharply limit their access to western financial markets.
Russia severed gas exports to Ukraine in June in a dispute over prices and the country faces severe energy shortages this winter if the EU cannot broker a supply deal between Moscow and Kiev.[.]
. . . . . .
Whatever Mr. Putin’s leverage on this group is left to be seen;
A few weeks ago Germany approved the sale of RWE, AG to Russian group. This company owns gas reverse flow pipelines. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-08-22/germany-backs-6-8-billion-rwe-unit-sale-to-russian-group.html
Slovakia has been supplying Ukraine a few cb.m but “is considered modest” more like a drop of dew in the big picture.
= = = = =
The FT. article shows a graph that depicts several EU countries – Hungary Poland Czech Republic – have squirelled away gas storage for this winter. El Nino may impact usage. Forecast is for a brutally cold winter.

Anyway I have to say, even though I have not studied the subject thoroughly, that the Russian political scene is pretty convoluted to me, if not as intriguing as the Ottoman court.
But let’s see, there is not only a 5th column, but a 6th, everyone intrigues against everyone with no way to come together to achieve a common goal.
It can not be, I honestly do not see the light.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but we had not agreed to Strelkov was conservative, white russian?
It has not been clear that both Colonel Cassad as El Murid have sided with the militias? What is now being accused of being Bolsheviks in a pejorative sense?
All Bolsheviks are evil? To me these categorizations are not worth since I can remember.
It is clear from the beginning, I think, that this was a struggle of the people, of all signs, as has been demonstrated also in the internationalist movement. What do not seem appropriate, now that we were winning, it’s like us to fight each other what they are wishing the elites, oligarchic and politics.
So we make ourselves the work of divide and rule.
Until we understand that workers, of any sign, we’re all in the same boat, that our strength lies in staying together and fight for our rights, nothing will change.
Actually, the people of the world, we are tired of being considered minors. We do not want VVPutin is our father and tell us what we need to do.
We just need him to direct the ship during the change of course, we are adults, we are citizens, we are not slaves, and we want to take into account, our life has a value, and so our demands.
It is quite obvious why Russia does not want intervention. It is not the US but the sentiment in Western en Central Ukraine. They just do not like of hate Russians. Why would Russians enforce Ukraine into its sphere of influence. It would be unnecessary loss of life and money.

For this to be possible there would have to be support for the Militia from a large majority of the people of the Donbass. They do not have such support. They are supported by a sizeable minority most of whom are over 50 or unemployed (state benefits are higher in Russia). The rest of the population want to lynch the bastards.
To Mohamed at 11:25
“Once Allah’s Apostle stood amongst the people, glorified and praised Allah as He deserved and then mentioned the Dajjal saying, “l [sic] warn you against him (i.e. the Dajjal) and there was no prophet but warned his nation against him. No doubt, Noah warned his nation against him but I tell you about him something of which no prophet told his nation before me. You should know that he is one-eyed, and Allah is not one-eyed. (Sahih Bukhari 4.553. Also, Sahih Bukhari 4.554, Sahih Muslim 41.7000)”
Not dumb – blind, arrogant, greedy. One eyed!
According to this, Yarosh may have been killed on orders by Avakov.

Yarosh been killed by Avakova?
Leader of the “right sector,” allegedly was fatally wounded
Yesterday at 14:56, views: 37686
Leader of the “Hold” Evgeny Zhilin said that on the instructions of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine fighters organization calculated the location Dmitry Yarosh and attacked. According to Zilina, the head of the “right sector” was fatally wounded. Official information about it is not, but the head of a nationalist cell really have not been seen in public.
Yarosh been killed by Avakova?

Leader of the “Hold” Evgeny Zhilin told the publication Ukraina.ru, that according to the information of their reconnaissance, the leader of the “Right Sector” Dmitry Jaros was fatally wounded in the neck.
Zhilin said that a “bulwark” indirectly cooperates MIA. According to him, the head of department Arsen Avakov, fearing punitive battalions, and is active wiretapping of command, and the information gets to the militia. Since radicals, which Kyiv authorities used on the Maidan, and then sent to kill, suffered huge losses and are now going to go to Kiev, said Zhilin, the country’s leadership is beneficial to get rid of the nationalists.
Ostensibly, intelligence “Hold”, received a message about the whereabouts of the leader of the “right sector,” Yarosh tracked up to the house. After that, said Zhilin, artillery “Hold” struck, resulting in Yarosh was mortally wounded.
“I can not say that Jarosz is dead” – said the head of the organization, adding that “the medicine works wonders”, but so far Yarosh never appeared except one dubious messages to his Twitter, accusing the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in negotiating with President the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Recall, September 2 already reported killed Yarosh. Then in the microblogging leader of the “right sector” account once again it was reported that he was found murdered, this time – for brandishing where before there were fierce fights. Press secretary of the nationalist cell denied these reports, calling the message opponents desire to spread panic among colleagues Yarosh.
Just a quick update. It seems like the tidd of the public perception re: Ukie propaganda has shifted dramatically. Note that this is based upon the way the CBC article(s) of the day have fallen off the never ending “Updated” strategy and how drastically the comment threads has shifted against the Kiev narrative. The trolls are losing their influence and are being openly called out. The odd thing about this is that the comment threads are heavily censored by the pro-Harper Loyalists and typically are usually hijacked rather easily. This shift seems to also be occurring within the rhelms of social media. In other words, it seems like there is a serious shift occurring as the narrative falls apart exponentially.
The situation that plagues the anti-Kiev junta crowd seems to be balancing itself a bit. The pro-Kiev trolls are losing steam based upon the collective ignorance of their Loyalists compounded by the actions of Porky and the Ukie armed forces and their neo-Nazi “volunteer” battalions…
DumpHarper!
Please, Saker or anyone, could you briefly explain who they are in Russia the 5th and 6th column and what they pursue?
For clarify a bit, the neophytes….
“Many good people died to win freedom in Novorossii.”
Viscious bullshit. Who in the Donbass was campaigning for “freedom”? The biggest antiMaidan, pro Referendum politcal campaigner was Nelly Shepter, the elected mayor of Sloviansk. But she wanted a real referendum. She ‘disappeared’ and her main aide was found floating in a canal. Enter The People’s Mayor waving a gun. There’s not much support for the Russian Militia in Sloviansk now.
Putin blinked and got sanctions anyway and more NATO Ukraine exercises.
His moral victory in in insisting on a ceasefire will go into the news void
Huge mistake in thinking that the West will accept anything other than complete sanctions against Russia
Poroshenko is the victor, Novorossiya the loser
Sad and completely predictable
So are there sanctions or not

Peter Martin, aka DJP3tros, the guy behind Ukraine@war blog has almost zero credibility.
He claims the Ukrainian Su-25 attack in Lugansk shredding the civilians in front of the office building was actually caused by an automatic grenade launcher, no make that an rpg, no make that an aircraft, but it was Russian. Oh yeah, the MH17 was shot down by a Russian BUK system.
I say almost zero rather than zero because at least he didn’t resort to using the claim that the Lugansk incident was caused by an air conditioner.
In short, as far as he is concerned, everything is Russia’s fault and the people in Donbas are terrorists, evil Russian terrorists. He then proceeds to work back from that conclusion.
I guess anyone can analyze anything, and claim it is analysis of anything, but at least for me, analysis must start and be focused on what is being analyzed. So really, is this analysis of Minsk ‘agreement’, or everything about it?. Sorry Saker, thumbs down on this one.

“Being one of Ukraine’s major ports, loosing Mariupol, would be detrimental to Ukraine’s teetering economy. Moreover, it removes any junta claims to the off-shore oil and gas deposits!”
Mariupol is far more important in the very short term. There’s no chance that the Ukraine will get Russian gas for the winter unless they cough-up the money they owe – that’s not going to happen. They could use coal to get by – except they’ve now blown-up almost all of the Donbass mines.
They’re frantically trying to get shiploads of coal from South Africa and Australia, but they need a port to unload it in. Odessa is unsuitable, Crimea is gone – that only needs Mariupol.
Shortsightedness can really come back and bite you on the bum!

Every single Orthodox Christian is, to use an Iranian comparison, a “Guardian of the Faith”
I agree. But what faith are they defending? Are they defending the Jesus who said give unto Caesar, pay your taxes and OBEY?
The history is so screwed up I can’t make sense of it.
I have recently come across the so-called Flavian thesis. I’m sure you’re aware of it. To make a long story short, it argues that all of Christianity was an invention of Josephus in service to the Flavian Roman rulers who adopted him.
In this vein I recently bought and read Caesar’s Messiah by Joseph Atwill, despite the fact it had Jewish psyop writen all over it.
According to Atwill, if Josephus’ Book of the Jews (included in the Armenian cannon) is read alongside the gospels, it becomes apparent that they were writen as satire in an effort to destroy Jewish Messianism and co-opt it on behalf of the Roman project.
Atwill honours his Anglo-Zionist book publishing masters by flatly stating Christianity was created to destroy the Jews but I interpret it differently — that Christianity may have been created to destroy the spirit of Jewish resistance as embodied by the Sicarri Zealonts including Judas and Eleazar, the latter Atwill points to as the real Jesus.
I don’t know and I don’t read Koine but the conceptual paralells he describes are striking and his thesis, despite his intentional misdirection, is compelling.
So if you accept this possibility, would you agree with this interpretation:
It was precisely Orthodox resistance to Papist (Judaic, Jesuit) intrigues that renewed and reinvigorated the eastern church — and made it a more real representation of what pre Roman Judaism was all about.
Since I can’t read Koine a direct investigation is definitely out of the question but I think you’re mentioned you do read Koine Greek. If so, have you read Josephus’ Book of the Jews alongside the gospels to see if this theory has any legs?
As for the Catholic Church, the Pope is a fricken Jesuit! He recently came out in favour of a Western intervention to destroy ISIS but had nothing to say about the on going murder of thousands in Gaza.
What more evidence do you need that the Catholic Church is not what it claims to be?

basho, I’m not trying to spread gloom, but I’m definitely of a melancholic disposition. I’ve seen nothing but Evil triumphant throughout my life, most emanating from the USA, the greatest force for Evil in history. I see precious little reason to be optimistic, and, indeed, I put humanity’s chances of seeing 2100 as nil, and 2050 as not great, without a global transformation in politics, economics and ethics that would amount to a miracle. The US elites are now, not just psychopathic, as has been the case for decades, but raving mad, seemingly intent on war with Russia. I heard one of them last night on the radio, a delightful screeching Harpie in the Powers, Rice(s), Clinton mould, one Kimberley Marten, a ‘Professor’ supposedly, and quite barking mad in her hatred for Putin. Once the Yankee ruling caste gets into a frenzy, anything is possible.

“Together we will then form a trade zone with the EU that will unite the entire Eurasian continent from France and Holland to China, Iran and India in a single trade and economic zone.”
A free trade zone between Russia-Ukraine and EU will be a disaster for the Russian economy. Russia will become a protectorate of EU. It will become integrated into the neoliberal globalization. The national sovereignty of Russia will diminish.
If Russia wants to preserve it’s sovereignty, then it should gradually disconnect from economic globalization and it should try to build a self sufficient economy. That means the nationalisation of important parts of the economy and withdrawal from WTO
Had to pick a thread that seemed most appropriate, bopefully thus one will suffice and since it has not been mentioned thus far, we thought it was worth mentioning.
It seems as if the RF has decided to pick out a Canadian war ship that is part of the NATO exercises in the Black Sea to make a point. This has thus far seriously spooked a lot of folks, especially the Harper Regime and their Loyalist war-mongers. They seriously have downplayed the incident and have attempted to keep it on the down low within the MSM as well. From the rather short reports it seems as if 2 RF fighters buzzed the warship within a thousand feet or so and were accompanied by a surveillance aircraft in a similar fashion as they did this past spring to the
US warship. The details were rather vague and sketchy, but the point was made and received. The Harper Regime had a very hard time hiding their nervousness when questioned on-air and even their public “statement” had to be revised during the day to downplay the seriousness. It seems like all of the war-mongering rhetoric dissipates when confronted with stark realities. This is what happens when one bites off more than one can chew just to pander for votes within a rather small diaspora…

I like your analogy of the 4 year old.
I heard a commnet from Ron Paul about Obama…the reason Obama “has no strategy” is because he’s hesitant to follow all the neo-con’s he’s surrounded himself with, into the final phase before real war…I think that’s a good comment…don’t you ?
Obama seems to me to be out of his depth. He’s really just a black kid and can’t figure out the Russians. He’s running from disaster to disaster and always doing the wrong thing…too much too soon and he does not, to me, appear to be a real thinker.

Sometimes I think Zerohedge doesn’t know it all…
Saker !
thanks so much for this piece. I really liked it and hope that it all plays out this way…
However difficult this has become to imagine… imagine there were something like free and critical media in the West (And not “propaganda bullhorns” as Kerry correctly proclaimed. He just wrongly accused RT when he meant his own Western media. In psychology you call this a projection). Anyway.. if there were such media, one or several big outlets would carry Baranchik’s article as a base for further discussion. Instead they still go peddling the Russian invasion and other nonsense in the hope that Goebbels was right that a lie, repeated often enough, becomes truth.

Instead of reading “fantasy-porn” literature, try focusing on a few millions Christian martyrs of the first 3 centuries after Anno Domini, many of them would have had their life spared in exchange for a simple oblation and REFUSED!
Not bad as a “spirit of resistance”, don’t you think?
We render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and NOT ONE JOTA of what is God’s!
Again, I must insist: you must be a Christian to understand Christ!
@Maedhros
Very good. I hadn’t made the obvious connection between Jewish Resistance and that of the first Christians.
Unfortunately Christians reveal something else when they insist that the only way to understand Christianity is to convert. To my mind this is the basis of Western Liberalism’s intolerant insistence that in order to ‘be right’ one must adopt all the values of Liberalism. I’m not srguing they’re the same thing — just that a relationship exists and ought to be acknowledged.
Christians do not need to resign themselves exclusively to what does not belong to Caesar. In fact they’re desperately needed to fight Caesar and return to us what he has stolen. Part of this is spritual but much of it is not. There is no neat seperation between the material and spiritual realms as too many Christians have conceded.
@ Where-Wolf
There is a fundamental difference. We stand by the Truth, the Word of God, not by the vain words of men.
Moreover, we do not force anyone, so that we tolerate everybody, even the multitude of non-Christians who keep on pretending to teach us what Christ means and what Christians should do (namely, become non-Christians).
Christians have only one need, live by the Word of Christ, in the Church. That’s not up for discussion, it’s subtracted from any vain human dialectic, not part of any thesis or antithesis, all of them created and controlled by the enemy of mankind.
Therefore, we offer the only real resistance to the enemy, who’s not Caesar but the prince of this world, “the wickedness in the high places”, because we cannot possibly be synthesized by its ruses and snares in the perpetual devilish blob in which men have perpetually ended up, following their fallen minds and all their good intentions. Without Christ, all nobles men and good intentions pave nevertheless the way to hell!
We offer Christ, for you to take back form the prince of this world the only thing you really need: your soul!
The disease of mankind is spiritual, not material. Without that disease, the material creation has everything everybody would need, because nobody would want more than they need.
Naked you come here, naked you depart (for the Judgement).
We offer Christ, to overcome all fears, to repent, to swallow your pride and to live by the Word of God. If everybody would keep His Word, evil would disappear overnight from Earth.
It will not happen, but it’s not Christ or Christians (at purpose, Christian is as Christian does, remember it, they are WAY less than all those pretending….) to blame.
It’s non-Christian and nominal christians (a BIG part of the problem) to blame, who will keep on offering one more antithesis, still pretending to know better not only than devil but also than God, against all evidences provided by millennia of human history.
We find it ludicrous. Do not waste your time.
