The Crimean Energy Blockade: What You Need to Know

Looks like the zionazis are back to their old cowardly tricks again. The pathetic sods, being too cowardly to confront Russian dismantling of their oded yinon op against Syria directly, resort to their usual tactic of sniping at Russia using another proxy in a different venue.

“Most, if not all of the electricity delivered to Crimea through Ukraine comes from Russia, with Ukrainian territory used as a transit point.”

It’s obvious frpm a practical standpoint that the alternative distribution lines need to be finished as soon as possible so Crimea has no dependence for anything on Ukraine, which could not be relied on in the foreseeable future. At that point Russia should stop supplying anything to Ukraine until it remakes itself as a sane country.

      In the meantime

Russia ceases coal deliveries to Ukraine in response to Crimea blackout

Good — and stop selling it gas too. The people of Ukraine must understand what the regime there is doing to the country, and Russia has to stop supporting the regime (and also the hate and bias of people towards Russia and Novorossia which is prevalent) by easing those consequences.

It’s a shame for the people who try to be sane and all, but there’s no other way of effectively handling it and stopping the insanity because the fascist regime is being sustained by supplying it, and continuing to make war. If someone with a bomb is set on committing suicide by blowing himself up it’s not recommended that that you hold on to him even if you do care and want him not to do it.

It’s either that or Russia has to directly intervene to remove the regime and restore some kind of normality. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.

    More intrigue
The hacked mails were published by Cyber Berkut on Nov 21, 2015.

The revealed information clearly indicates that the Qatar Ministry of Defense is arranging supplies of the Ukrainian air defense systems to Syria-based terrorist organizations via Bulgaria and Turkey. The US officers in Qatar have approved the deals. Taking into account that “Pechora 2D” system is able to strike the aircrafts at the heights up to 21 km, the investigation of the A321 Metrojet downfall over Sinai may receive an unexpected turn…

Can’t say I am surprised if Ukraine supplied the weapons. I was a bit suspicious when Chocie boy was so quick to send his condolences – considering all the trash coming from Ukraine to Russia. He also said Ukraine would continue to fly to Egypt. They have also been supplying arms to Daesh according to Kuwaiti intelligence.

Another story recently was the Ukrainians stopped telling Russia when it supplied some high grade weapons – can’t remember the make – think they were anti-aircraft – why?

There disgraceful and murderous arms dealing is going to come back and bite them.

(sorry can’t post links as the stories were in the last few weeks).

Crimea must be independent from Ukraine electricity, the sooner the better. For those on this website who advocate stopping the selling of energy from Russia to Ukraine, i think it is a way for Russia to take time and prepare herself better for the inevitable fighting in Ukraine. Russians are not stupid, and I hope payback to ukros may come with a special bonus!

    • blue on November 23, 2015  ·  at 6:31 am EST/EDT

That may be part of it but there is also the idea that Ukrainians and Russians are the same people, more or less, and not wanting to hurt the people. They still hope that it won’t come to fighting.
I can hope they are right, but I’m too cynical to pessimistic to believe that this can be settled diplomatically, although maybe without direct military confrontation.
The problem is that Russia does not really want to be involved with it, nor spend a fortune on it — and yet at the same time they don’t want to just let it go and see Ukraine melt into sea, along with the sane people left there. The deciding factor may well turn out to be terrorist activities however, which can’t be ignored.

Pakistan, India and Bangladesh were all one country once. They are ready to nuke each other now.. But before they were all multiple empires fighting each other.. Even with like the mogul empire started by a foreigner and ended up one of the strongest empire it did not comprise all of the sub continent. So one people is really meaningless.. Yes there are multiple ethnicities but those were defeated a long time ago and the powers were mostly in the hands of the Aryan invaders. That in turn went into religion and language.. Considering the over like 20 main languages and hundreds of dialects, each thinks they are different and fight each other. Currently the Indian armed forces makes up only a small portion of the major population and religion, and are taken up by minorities. So when Pakistan fights india, they are not fighting the Hindus who rule but the Sikhs and Gurkas who are actually foreigners and other minorities and the Pakistani army that is fighting are muslims but the power is held by the so called high caste of old Hindustan now converted muslims or the people who live in the indus valley.

The rulers are not the ones dying in any country.. They only want someone else to die for them.. The US army might be mostly white but they are poor small town uneducated whites. I am sure most Ukrainians were Russians and even now there might not be much difference between Russians and Ukrainians.. But belief.. One believe they deserve more.. And that the other is keeping them down.. Kind of like affirmative action.. The more you give, they more they take and then want even more. Because they believe they deserve it and others don’t.

Heck we don’t even need to go that far, even inside a city, there are fights between different sections because of this. Where it does turn into violence on a small scale. Like football teams.. When humans enter group think they become an entirely different entity and only their group think matters to differentiate themselves from others. It is also why many of the psychological sciences work because although individual actions can not be predicted without great effort, group actions are far more easier to predict and control and the larger the group the easier it is to predict. The science is called game theory..

        • blue on November 23, 2015  ·  at 9:11 pm EST/EDT

I wouldn’t call it game theory, but propaganda and divide to conquer is a big part of it, as is the problem of political identification by people searching for some kind of meaning and security which the system deprives them of and alienates them from.

The Crimea energy blockade is widely reported. However, to my astonishment it was even used as an argument for extending the sanctions against Russia:

EU countries are preparing to extend the life of Russia economic sanctions by six months in December, despite Moscow’s new role in fighting Islamic State (IS).
    […]
A second EU contact corroborated a report by the Reuters news agency, which says France, Germany, Italy, the UK, and the US agreed the six-month extension in the margins of the G20 summit in Turkey last weekend. […] But the final decision will be taken by the 28 EU leaders at the summit in December.
    […]
The source played down the notion the Crimea blackout could be a pretext for a new Russian military offensive. “One could see Moscow’s hand behind this, or other events, but without hard evidence, it’s just idle speculation,” he warned.

    • JJ on November 23, 2015  ·  at 6:24 pm EST/EDT

My mrs checked back with her folks back in north Crimea…blackout for several hours but emergency committees had it all covered…elec restored by local power generation but there will be rolling cuts at times…they have their own coal for 1 month when new elec line from Rostov should be completed.
No schools etc today Monday 23 to ensure it all works…20centigrade over weekend so no panic yet for cold weather.
Ukr was only reporting it as a breakdown, yet 2 police protecting the repair team were attacked by mejlis /right sector, one stabbed in stomach, another very badly beaten up and hospitalied. But people on mainland, including tatars who can’t return to Crimea),plus others are also widely affected by the sabotage(which would a crime under UNCR terms) so they might be getting rather fed up with it all too.

  6. JJ on November 23, 2015  ·  at 8:13 pm EST/EDT

Yats suspends all freight traffic between ukr and Crimea.is the latest..thus confirming I imagine, he approves of the electrical “blockade” which Germany stated was an act of terror, and presumably endorsing a RADA deputy who stated Crimea will be either ukrainian or de-populated….doubtful whether ukr can or is willing to repair due to lack of control,or fear, of having to deal with mejlis and right sector.

    • JJ on November 23, 2015  ·  at 9:15 pm EST/EDT

Bit more….anna-news reports that maybe mejlis are doinv the blockades and sabotage to impress Poro sufficiently that he should grant them their own Crimean Tatar region so they can work towards reclaiming Crimea, authorised state terrorism in effect…….

    • JJ on November 23, 2015  ·  at 10:29 pm EST/EDT

      sorry mods-bit bit more

apparently the elec contract is with a Russian company, who are now demanding answers from ukr suppliers, and which contract actually seems to prove thus that ukr has acknowledged that Crimea is now secceeded to Russia Federation …and possibly ukr could be liable for 205 damages on the contract fee.

Apparently the sabotage caused huge problems for the nuclear power plant supplying the elec, there was a big big risk and because outflow stopped it was contained in the power station…..subsequently it will take days to really bring back generation under control gradually, but only if the lines are safe to do so…………Crimea’s first deputy prime minister threatens retaliation…..Medvedev say rus may limit their power supplies to Kiev as ukraine in his eyes is only a transit route for Russian electricity to Crimea….KIEV, November 23 /TASS/. Ukraine’s Energy Ministry hopes that Russia will regard the blowing up of power transmission towers in Ukraine’s Kherson region as force majeure and will not charge penalties, Ukraine’s Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Vladimir Demchishin told a briefing on Monday.
“I think it’s going to be force majeure. Let us wait and see what kind of decision will be made,” Demchishin stressed.
He admitted that the supports of electric power lines, including those running to Crimea, had been blown up in Ukraine’s Kherson region, and that his ministry did not have access to the damaged structures to repair them.
Russian official says power line blasts are Kiev’s “final gesture of farewell” to Crimea
According to the chairman of the Federation Council’s international affairs committee, Konstantin Kosachyov, last weekend’s explosions in Ukraine that damaged pylons of high-voltage power lines bringing electricity to Crimea indicate that Kiev no longer regards the peninsula as its territory to any extent.
He pointed out it was not accidental that Ukraine has continued the chain of latest terrorist attacks and disrupted power supply to Crimea, which until recently it had regarded as its territory.
“Apparently, it no longer thinks so starting from this very moment. These explosions have shattered the latest illusions of those who may have still doubted whether Crimea made the right choice. It was not an invitation to return. It was a gesture of final farewell with Crimea,” Kosachyov said.
He voiced surprise over the photographs of damaged pylons adorned with Ukrainian flags.

MOSCOW, November 23. /TASS/. Explosions hitting electric power transmission lines on the Ukrainian territory have both deprived Crimea of electricity supply and done damage to the Ukrainian energy system. However, Kiev has actually given no response to this subversion act. This is simply political schizophrenia, experts say.
Crimea was completely cut off from Ukraine’s electricity supplies overnight to November 22 after two power transmission lines were blown up in the Kherson Region. As many as 1.64 million Crimean residents were left without electricity. However, the subversive act has affected the Ukrainian energy system as well – two districts in the Kherson Region remain without electric power supply.

KIEV, November 23. /TASS/. Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov on Monday proposed stopping trade with Russia and terminating contracts on power supplies.

    http://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2015/11/23/438894/US-army-Ukrainian-forces-proRussia

The US has begun training Ukrainian troops and special operations forces in an attempt to aid the war-ravaged country to protect its borders against pro-Russia forces, the Pentagon says.

Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis said on Monday, the US troops “will be training five battalions of active-duty troops and one battalion of special operations forces personnel.”

“This is part of our ongoing efforts to contribute to Ukraine’s long-term military reform and professionalism and to help them improve Ukraine’s internal defense capabilities and training capacity,” he added.
