The NATO Summit, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the North Atlantic Alliance, was held in London on December 3 and 4 and was marked by an atmosphere of controversy between the leaders of the participating countries. The members of the alliance were not able to come to a common decision and determine the guidelines for development.
The discord that was felt throughout the summit was facilitated by a series of events that occurred the day before. The central figure, which gathered the greatest number of disagreements around it, was US President Donald Trump, whose relations with the leaders of other countries significantly escalated.
A week before the summit, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson expressed concern that Trump’s presence could undermine the parliamentary election campaign in London on December 12, and asked him to refrain from interfering. Then, on the first day of the congress, a column of demonstrators opposing the policies of Trump and NATO as a whole proceeded to Buckingham Palace, where the British Queen invited the leaders of the participating countries to a banquet.
Relations with Emmanuel Macron also staggered after the bold statements of the French president that NATO was “experiencing a brain death”: despite the fact that this statement provoked a radical but necessary discussion, it caused wide resonance and great discontent from Trump, who complained to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that this is “an irresponsible and disrespectful statement by France”.
The growing trade confrontation between the United States and France, which entailed the introduction of 100% tariffs on French imports to the United States, is compounding the situation. In this regard, Trump tried to emphasize that it was currently unprofitable to spoil relations with America in France, and also questioned the further membership of France in the alliance.
The views of Trump and Erdogan also diverged significantly after Turkey acquired the Russian S-400 missile system, then the tension in relations was aggravated by the situation in northeast Syria. This could not but affect the nature of the interaction of the presidents at the entrance of the summit. Disagreement with Erdogan’s policies was repeatedly expressed by Macron.
The culmination of universal controversy, in particular concentrated around Trump, was the conversation between Macron and Johnson, as well as the Prime Ministers of Canada and the Netherlands – Justin Trudeau and Mark Rutte – during which state leaders mocked Trump for his impromptu speech during the press conference.
“His team just had a jaw dropping on the floor…”, – Trudeau commented on the speech of Trump.
The rest participants of the conversation supported the Canadian leader. The conversation was filmed by reporters and immediately went online. Subsequently, Trump called Trudeau “duplicitous”, recalled Canada’s refusal to pay 2% of GDP for defense spending, thereby emphasizing disagreement about the dialogue, canceled his last speech at a press conference and left the London NATO summit ahead of the expected departure date.
The general agenda of Trump’s political efforts, trying to plunge certain regions of the world into chaos and destroy the transatlantic union, also adds fuel to the fire, thereby destroying the economy of the European Union, the main political and economic competitor of the United States. Thus, Trump advocates the destruction of the alliance rather than a further alliance within it. The situation with Turkey remains unclear, which a number of Western media have dubbed the “problem child of NATO”: in its desire to receive support in the fight against terrorism, the country only faces the fact that the most important members of the alliance support terrorist organizations.
In general, the goals and strategies for the continued existence of NATO remain dubious even for the alliance’s member countries. According to Macron, the main agenda for the near future is the need to build a new architecture of trust and security in Europe, readiness for an “open and full-fledged dialogue with Russia,” as well as considering China as a new enemy of the North Atlantic bloc. However, in conditions of radical disagreements reigning between the participants of the alliance, which is gradually weakening its strength, these new vectors of development cannot be properly implemented.
”The situation with Turkey remains unclear, which a number of Western media have dubbed the ’problem child of NATO’ in its desire to receive support in the fight against terrorism, the country only faces the fact that the most important members of the alliance support terrorist organizations.”
Not particularly surprising given their membership in the Nazi American Terror Organization itself. Hopefully, the latter breaks up until there are only the Honorary Euro-trash of Eastern Europe left to fleece.
In so many words, it was a clusterf**k, quite becoming such clowns.
They are an alliance of mediocrities. Trillions of dollars wasted over the decades.
The obvious “enemy” and “threat” to these criminals is terrorism.
But they suffer from pathological Russophobia and, now, Sinophobia.
Terrified of Russia’s military is actually a good sign of realism. This should temper their base instincts when the loons among them envisage attacking Kaliningrad or pushing toward Donbass or Crimea, or some naval stunt in the Black Sea. And of course, the lure of Arctic warfare intrigues them. They don’t realize how Russia already has built its defenses there.
What next for Brussels HQ? Space. And Cyberwar. Watch for the sudden demise of these foolhardy strategies. They have failed always and often.
As indicated by their circus in Paris, the clown show continues apace.
In keeping with their hatred (and fear) of a Russo-German detenté/cooperation, they are frantically working to scuttle the planned December 9th meeting between Merkel-Putin-Zelensky.
Apparently some murders in Berlin are being linked with Moscow.
MSM to go full blast on this and completely ignore the meeting/demand cancellation.
”December 9th meeting between Merkel-Putin-Zelensky.”
Fabulous — a German harridan, a Russian statesman, and a green Ukro clown. Putin winding down anticipating Christmas holidays; I certainly don’t begrudge him his pleasures, LOL.

Yes, the clown show continues apace, but it is a very serious clown show, where we are already seeing the beginning of a rift between European and American elites, with perhaps the exception of the British elite.
The point is that when the Warsaw Pact disintegrated in 1989, NATO should have been disbanded, as it’s future existence was pointless. However, it was kept in existence, the obvious target being Russia and it’s riches. As the late political economist Lyndon LaRouche stated, the only thing which could save the US dollar was the break up of Russia and the plunder of Siberia and the Caspian region. Russia was to be destabilized, after which NATO would march into the country to secure all the nukes and to guarantee “human rights” and “democracy”, after which Russia was to be broken up in the name of “human rights” and “:democracy”. Well, as we all know, it did not happen. However, the Atlantic elites have a trouble accepting this, bearing in mind how much money was wasted on NATO since 1989. Worse, the US elite is of the simplistic opinion that since Europe fought two world wars it would also be willing o fight a third one, this time against Russia. Nothing is further from the truth. Russia is in Europe while the US is on the other side of the Atlantic. No European state is willing to sacrifice its self for Wall Streets interests. Worse, the US instigated sanctions against Russia cost EU states billions of euros in losses, bitterly resented.
And what now ? NATO is still here, at least on paper. It’s European member states are unwilling to put too much money into it, if at all. It is showing signs of breaking apart, the first candidate to leave it being Turkey.
What will happen ? Remains to be seen. We have a pointless institution, and none of it’s members wants to be the first to state that it’s existence is pointless. However, this state of affairs cannot last for ever.
“Still here, at least on paper.”
You have a paper tiger. Set against their #1 target, Russia, they will shred and burn like paper if they start a war.
Since Russia will not invade or attack the paper tiger (no reason to, no desire to) it would take NATO to begin a hot war. That war will turn within ten minutes and be a rout within twenty minutes. Recovery time for the nations that participate in such foolishness will be in decades. Russia is armed in its defense to utterly destroy any attacker. They have demonstrated their weapons, issued their warnings. If NATO wants to cease to exist, all it needs to do is attack Russia.
Russia is concerned about NATO getting closer and closer to its borders because decision time to react is cut to minutes, in the case of the Black Sea or Kaliningrad borders, 2-3 minutes.
Russia is not so concerned with NATO’s capabilities. They won’t matter once the war begins. I repeat, NATO will cease to exist should the psychopaths start a war against Russia.
NATO should change its moniker to NARO – Nations Against Russia Organization.
This article is informative, but somewhat unilateral. Clearly, NATO has internal conflicts. But one can also say that NATO is one of thing of the West which still functions quite well. There are some objective reasons for that. In particular, the member states try to keep their dominant position in the world.
It is true that the West has important internal problems. But they are much more obvious when the populations take part – which is not really the case for a summit. Important examples of the internal problems of the West are the vote for Brexit in 2016, the election of Trump in 2016, the question of immigration, and the current election campaign in the USA (which includes the so-called impeachment).
@PS.Schaller: “But one can also say that NATO is one of thing of the West which still functions quite well.” ?
The NATZO invasion of Syria was an utter flop. NATZO in Yemen is likewise going badly. NATZO stalled in Ukraine have stalled clownish loss of Crimea. Debacle after debacle; no wonder some NATZrats are blaming each another. When thieves quarrel, honest folk rejoice.
Amusing account of the nato meet and the melodrama surrounding it. But this speculation/claim:
“The general agenda of Trump’s political efforts, trying to plunge certain regions of the world into chaos and destroy the transatlantic union, also adds fuel to the fire, thereby destroying the economy of the European Union, the main political and economic competitor of the United States. Thus, Trump advocates the destruction of the alliance rather than a further alliance within it.”
I’ll have to disagree with.
First, trump’s words are mainly meant to impress his base and keep them from straying. What he says means little else. Trump’s handlers no more want to breakup nato than they want to breakup the eu. Without nato and the eu, it would be much more difficult for the zpc/nwo to maintain control over europe and prevent these countries gravitating towards the multipolar alternative.
What trump’s handlers want is europeans to be more subservient and conformist, with thoroughly indoctrinated zombiefied populations. IE: more like the usa. So they will be easier to control. One way to bring this about is to force europeans to spend more on military and less on social welfare – like how it’s done in the usa. Hence trump’s pushing europeans to spend more for nato.

New World Order agents want “regime change” in Iran now
“They are obviously interested in ‘regime change,’ not diplomacy, with the interests of Israel, Saudi Arabia, the Central Banks, Oil-Gas Consortiums, and Armament Manufacturers being paramount.”
By Jonas E. Alexis – December 6, 201901400
…by Jonas E. Alexis and Mark Dankof
Mark Dankof is the former 36th District Chairman of the Republican Party in King County/Seattle. He was an elected delegate to Texas State Republican Conventions in 1994 and 1996 and entered the United States Senate race in Delaware in 2000 as the nominated candidate of the Constitution Party against Democratic candidate Thomas Carper and Republican incumbent William Roth.
Jonas E. Alexis: If you don’t think that New World Order agents didn’t just overthrow the government in Bolivia, then think again.[1] Right after the coup, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz tells us: “Bolivia Renews Diplomatic Relations With Israel After Over Decade of Severed Ties. Ex-Bolivian President Morales decided in 2009 to cut all ties with Israel after Israel’s offensive in Gaza, and recognized Palestine as an independent state in 2010.”[2]
New World Order agents have already established a puppet by the name of Karen Longaric, who said: “We are going to restore relations with Israel.”[3] Morales saw Israel’s dark side after Operation Cast Lead, which the Israeli regime used as an excuse to continue on their extermination plan against Gaza. Morales said then:
“Bolivia had diplomatic relations with Israel. [But] considering these grave attacks against…humanity, Bolivia will stop having diplomatic relations with Israel.”[4]
Ever since Morales uttered those words, New World Order agents marked him for death. Ten years later, they overthrew his government and replaced him by a thorough puppet. Now New World Order agents, as journalist Dan Kovalik has put it, is eyeing on Iran.[5] Our dear friend and colleague, Mark Dankof, has something to say about this whole Zionist/Neocon operation.
Tasnim: In an interview with BBC Persian on Nov. 21, the US special representative for Iran, Brian Hook, said Washington is “very pleased” with protests over a fuel price hike in Iran, adding that the maximum pressure against Iran will continue. US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also took to Twitter to express support for the protesters. Open support for rioters has just reinvigorated the Islamic Republic’s official narrative that the real goal the United States pursues through maximum pressure is not to bring Iran to the negotiating table but to cause “regime change” in the country. What do you think? What is behind this kind of US policy?
Dankof: It is clear that “regime change” in Iran is the goal of the Neo-Conservative, Zionist foreign policy of the Trump Administration. As I stated in an interview on the Republic Broadcasting Network this afternoon, and on UK EuroFolkRadio yesterday morning, the situation in Iran must be understood not only in light of what the CIA and British intelligence did in Tehran with Operation Ajax in 1953, but in contemporary terms in the 4 decades since the overthrow of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi in 1979 with ongoing American and Israeli subversion in various cities and provinces of Iran, along with the current American Empire machinations in Ukraine, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Bolivia, Venezuela, and now Hong Kong among others. Pompeo’s recent announcement giving Israel the green light to steal the West Bank along with solidifying their theft of East Jerusalem (al-Quds) must also be added to this demonic mix and overview. Jewish settlement in Hebron (al-Khalil) alone has now tripled, as but one example of the ramifications. The American backed horrors in Gaza and Yemen amplify a very blood-soaked picture.
Tasnim: Reports by Iranian intelligence services say that the US and its allies in the region meddled to stoke recent unrest in Iran. They say clues have been found proving that they intervened to create the turmoil. Bahman Reyhani, a military commander in Kermanshah, said “the rioters belonged to anti-revolutionary groups and America’s intelligence services”. What are your thoughts on this?
Dankof: All of the published reports over time indicate that the Saudi-backed terror groups are involved in (Sistan and) Balouchestan Province terrorist operations coming across the Pakistani-Iranian border. In Khuzestan Province, where unofficial reports indicate Iran has discovered a new potential deposit of oil in southwestern Iran, both groups and the nefarious Muhajedeen-e-Khalq (MEK-MKO) are apparently involved in the ignition of violent incidents. The MEK is clearly involved in the troubles in Tehran, and in Golestan Province and Iranian Azerbaijan.
The MEK headquarters in Tirana, Albania, has been regularly entertaining leading American Neo-Conservatives and Zionists in public photo-ops. The New York Times has extensively covered the Neo-Conservative, Zionist politicians who have been on the MEK payroll, and who helped remove them from the American State Department list of Officially Designated Terrorist Organizations. The money of the MEK is traceable to Saudi Arabia, and Israeli players in this New Great Game. It is fascinating to note the absolute silence over the recent Albanian earthquake and the report of the Balkans Post and Iran Interlink that the MEK headquarters there was devastated. I’m fishing for more information on this report, and what the damage and casualties there might mean to this key asset in the American-Israeli-Saudi war on Iran.”

If indeed Trump’s goal is to break up the EU he has my full support. The EU is nothing but a political wing of the NATO terrorist organisation. So good riddance.
In this hot mic incident I support Trump as he is less hypocritical than the Canadian and the EU gender fluid politicians. At least Trump has a beautiful wife and kids. Macron has neither. The Canadian guy is openly bisexual with rabid Russian-haters handling him, the Dutch guy is… who cares – the other day he had thousands of farmers show him what can happen if he moves against them with the CO2 reduction BS.
Anyway, it is interesting and heartening to see that the enemies of mankind are having issues which prevent them from having a unified front against their enemy ie the Earth and its inhabitants and also God as they do not fear God and hence are able to act the way they do sowing chaos across the globe.
”Relations with Emmanuel Macron also staggered after the bold statements of the French president that NATO was ’experiencing a brain death’ /…/ caused wide resonance and great discontent from Trump, who complained to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that this is ’an irresponsible and disrespectful statement by France’”
Poor little Stoltenberg. How is he going to tackle the very true fact that he is officially leading a braindead — and utterly criminal — organization? And being called out by the Orange Baboon as a further insult for it? We do tell Norwegian jokes here in Sweden and Jens Stoltenberg seems to be a ’fairly good case in point’.
Verdict: NATO, Stoltenberg, Macron, Trump — to hell with the whole lot and their totally braindead summits. Let them squabble until the decent part of humanity hangs them.
N
“Let them squabble until the decent part of humanity hangs them.”
Both parts of the sentence, the squabbling and the hanging, are very desirable.
NATO is “Brain Dead”. Institutionalized Killing as the “New Normal”

(Peter Koenig)
“The two-day London NATO conference just ended – and calling it a NATO “crisis” is an understatement. The crisis is such that President Trump canceled the Press Conference at the end of the summit, officially saying that there was enough press briefing during the conference, but rather more honestly hinting at the all-pervading conflict-loaded ambiance between and among the NATO partners, that their disagreements should not be further exposed through a media event.
To start with, French President Emmanuel Macron at the onset of the Conference declared NATO unequivocally as “brain dead”. For once he is absolutely right. Trump chastised Macron as ‘unrespectful’. These remarks were not only inappropriate but they were outright insolent, he said. Trump was more critique at Macron and all those who expressed any kind of doubt about NATOs justification for further existence. Trump left the summit before the end. Some say that his early leaving had to do with ‘his’ audacious, agenda, to ask European NATO members to increase their military budget to at least 2% of GDP – for which he didn’t get much applause. It would be additional wasted defense money that most countries could rather use for much needed social programs.
The clear loser of this event was Trump, and NATO – and of course, Trump’s NATO-puppet, Jens Stoltenberg, the longest serving NATO chief in recent history (since 2014 – and ongoing). One wonders, Stoltenberg, a Norwegian career politician, must have some brains on his own – why does he fight for a lost cause? He, Stoltenberg, knows that Russia and China are not enemies of the west, that they are Washington-invented enemies, because the empire always needs an enemy to continue instigating and fighting wars and conflicts – for the service of its billion-profit-making Armament-Military Industrial complex.
Yes, friends, in our neoliberal, bending towards neo-fascist world, killing is good for business – in fact killing is the biggest single business in the western world.
Can you imagine? NATO has institutionalized killing as the new normal. Have you ever thought about it? – And in order to maintain this ‘eternal war on terror’ that sustains the US economy, we need ever-so-often a ‘fake’ terror attack – to keep the fear alive, to keep the arms flowing, the arms production running, to keep police and military abuse, brutality and repression increasing until we are under total military control, so much so that no ‘state of siege’ needs to be declared. It happens automatically. In fact, people, for fear of continuous false flags, ask for it. The condemned asks for the hangman to watch over them. That’s where we have ended up…”
