Now that the Red Cross has access to the wounded junta nitwits [aka recognizing both republics as parties in this or that], will it be the new eyes and ears for the West, the same way United Nations weapons inspectors did their ‘job’ in Iraq?

Thanks again for the subtitles. Because although I already understand 70% more or less, the speed would be too fast without the English subtitles.

God bless this dear speaker, Elena, and all of (Novo)rossiya with her!

Maybe of interest: Latest update from http://rt.com/news/eastern-ukraine-army-operation-680/ sounds good:

    Thursday, June 26
    23:12 GMT:

The Ukrainian military has confirmed that self-defense forces took over an army base in Donetsk after a seven-hour shootout.

The commander of the battalion is now being held captive. The rest of the soldiers have been transferred to another military base.

I don’t speak Russian, but I suspect this is what TV viewers in Kiev see on the news.

Part 4 (translated from Russian) about the MI8 shot down near Slaviansk, and secrets surrounding the event:

My previous post on this topic I ended by wishing success to employees of the Chornobyl Center Hague company «Hotzone Solutions» from Slavutych in their work on decontamination of “cargo” from the downed helicopter Mi-8 near Slaviansk.

Unfortunately, now I have to report on the alarming incident involving an employee of the firm. As I reported earlier, the leader of the group, operating under the Slavoniansk – the Dutchman, and it is composed of two experts from Austria, one Czech, three, Americans and six Ukrainians. The accident occurred with a specialist of Czech origin Pravoslav Brodsky.

Prior to joining the «Hotzone Solutions» he worked in Nevada in «NEST» (Nuclear Emergency Support Team). This service of the National Nuclear Security Administration U.S. Department of Energy was formerly known as search party for nuclear accidents. It consists of nuclear scientists, engineers and technicians. Formally, the task before them is an immediate response to any type of radiation accidents or incidents.

Currently, Mr. Brodsky is in quarantine, and there is no communication with him. The accident was not associated with any infectious disease, but with irradiation, so putting a nuclear specialists in quarantine instead of the specialized clinic can only cause alarm.

If a person is a source of radiation danger to the surrounding, he does not need a quarantine but treatment in a safe environment. Is quarantine required to Pravoslav Brodsky so nobody asks too many questions?

Does anybody have any thoughts about it?

Here is a article that I think it worth noting: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/26/world/use-of-drones-for-killings-risks-a-war-without-end-panel-concludes-in-report.html?_r=0

As I reading it, I thought about 9/11, and people had to be physically in US to cause any trouble, and how America is surrounded by oceans, and had not fight off any was on its soil. But in this day and age, with the Drone war that US had been waging, with most of world that US has pissed off, and with so many excellent engineers with a bone to pick with US, I thought that it is highly unlikely that no one has not thought about using drone to strike on US soil. At this rate that US has been bombing the world, I would not surprised that day will come fast.

I hope it will never happen, but you can not raging terror in some one else neighborhood without any blow back forever. It is high time for Obama to stop his murderous ways, and make up with the people of the world. It is a small planet, and technology make it even smaller.

First off, does anyone know how to contact ANNA News and thank them for their invaluable service?

Secondly, re: the possibility of radiation and quarantine: is PRAVOSUDIYA.NET the only source for this information? What validity are they known to have? (The fact that I haven’t heard of them means, approximately, nothing — but other people should have some knowledge.) Again, one can be excused for being skeptical if there is only one source, but this is truly horrible and one would think the militia would want the news to come out rather than also keep it a secret. Therefore there should be at least some other talk about it somewhere.

    And finally, Anonymous 02:56,

At this point I think the USG would welcome a drone attack — it’d simply be easier than a false flag to scapegoat Russia or whomever else happened to be the scapegoat of the moment, and do whatever they wish to here.

    Meezer:

Poroshenko said that “Our relations cannot be normalized without the return of Crimea.”

Oh well. Petro$ Poroshenko will just have to make do with abnormal relations until such time as all of Ukraine can be returned to Mother. Because I am sure the Russians are quaking in their boots at hearing they will only get abnormal relations with Ukraine.

  9. Andrew on June 27, 2014  ·  at 4:51 am EST/EDT

Rumor is that the Slavyansk boys aquired some cool new toys recently, including tanks and a GRAD launcher. The GRAD launcher was especially handy, because Strelkov’s boys had found some GRAD missiles about a month back, but tragically had no launcher to use them in. These got tested out on a key Ukie check point on the Karachun supply route.

Now it seems that there is possibly a battle going on in Artemovsk again. That darn tank base is awfully inviting.

  10. Andrew on June 27, 2014  ·  at 4:53 am EST/EDT

Tymchuk at least produces one useful thing, a cool zoomable live map of the war that also contains a record of battles and locations of checkpoints.

    http://inforesist.org/map_ato/

Per the map, it would appears NAF still firmly controls the main routes from Russia to Lugansk, Donetsk, and Slavyansk/Kramatorsk.

This is their contact page (translated).

You might try the email listed there, it’s the only one that I’ve seen on the site.

It does reveal a lot about Poroshenko’s mindset that he could not care less about what Crimeans think of his demands, despite a referendum that was recognised by independent observers from 23 countries, if I remember correctly. Amongst them Mateusz Piskorsky, an MP from Poland:

Everything went like in a professionally prepared country with professionally prepared staff.
    […]
I would like to stress not only that it was very professional but very calm, with all guarantees of safety at polling stations but without too much exposure of police presence at the polling stations, and so on.
    […]
It was organized according not only to the law of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea but also according to most basic, most important international standards.

    source: http://rt.com/op-edge/crimea-referendum-professional-observers-234/

Of course, in the Western mass media the facts were blissfully ignored and therefore do not exist. Thus it is easy for the likes of Poroshenko to rewrite history and pretend, people have been held hostage against their will. Another motive is the fact that he seems to be a spiteful person who desperately longs for getting even with Russia:

[T]he president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko openly admitted in an interview with Time magazine that the current Ukrainian leadership, which came to power after a coup d’état with the assistance of neo-Nazi militants, views Russia as its prime enemy. He stated frankly that his dream was to punish Russia, but using foreign military might, not Ukrainian forces.

    source: http://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2014/06/26/ukraine-has-begun-aggressive-actions-against-russia.html

His wet dreams of omnipotence are more important than the fate of the Crimeans who clearly do not wish to live under a nazi style authoritarian rule. What also is never going to reach the surface of the “mainstream West” are the facts about Crimea and what Russia was allowed to do on the territory when it was still part of the Ukraine:

A Russian naval presence in Crimea dates to 1783 when the port city of Sevastopol was founded by Russian Prince Grigory Potemkin. Crimea was part of Russia until Nikita Khruschev gave it to Ukraine in 1954.

    […]

In 1997, amid the wreckage of the USSR, Russia & Ukraine signed a Partition Treaty determining the fate of the military bases and vessels in Crimea. The deal sparked widespread officer ‘defections’ to Russia and was ratified by the Russian & Ukrainian parliaments in 1999. Russia received 81.7 percent of the fleet’s ships after paying the Ukrainian government US$526.5 million.

    […]

The deal [of 1997] allowed the Russian Black Sea Fleet to stay in Crimea until 2017. This was extended by another 25 years to 2042 with a 5-year extension option in 2010.

    […]

The Russian navy is allowed up to
    – 25,000 troops,
    – 24 artillery systems with a caliber smaller than 100 mm,
    – 132 armored vehicles, and
    – 22 military planes, on Crimean territory

    […]

Russian naval units are permitted to implement security measures at their permanent post as well as during re-deployments in cooperation with Ukrainian forces, in accordance with Russia’s armed forces procedures.

    source: http://rt.com/news/russian-troops-crimea-ukraine-816/

But why bother with the facts, when the Western elites are benefitting from their landgrab. The propaganda is only a pretext to make imperial politics somehow acceptable and provide the “decision making elite” with something to believe in.

    Dear The Saker,

Do you know – every time I see Chocie Boy or hear him speak he comes across as a buffon.

I note his change of image and speeches written for him – but alas he is no leader. The drivel coming out of his mouth – “all the regions of Ukraine wanted to join the EU – all the people in Ukraine are for the EU!”

His US speech writers muct be having a field day ;(….

If he thinks the EU and NATO will sacrifice themselves for Ukraine then he better look at Georgia..

We can now sit back and watch the 3 new association members economies crash and burn.

And all of this so the USG can have there free trade trap agreement to shore up the US$…

I hope Russia protects herself…..which I am sure she will….I note comments are already being made.

And in addition it looks like Iraq are getting planes too.

    Rgds,

    вот так,

Thank you. For anyone else wishing to thank ANNA News, this is their email: editor@anna-news.info It bounced for me though I’d be interested if it bounces for anyone else.

    Bakunin,

A good way to phrase just how Russian Crimea is would be to mention that 1783 was the year we signed the Treaty of Paris and became, uh, a confederation of thirteen former colonies. The rest of what would become the US was still the land of its original inhabitants.

I.e., Crimea was Russian before most of this place had been invaded and conquered. Also, most of the people now complaining about Crimea not being Russian were not even twinkles in the eyes of their great-great-great-great-great-great-grandparents. In Europe.

It seems that a more or less secret diplomatic agreement has been concluded the last days, probably after the talks between Putin and Hollande-Merkel-Obama:

The story seems to fit through the announcement by Lysencko about the radiation increase. Here’s collateral on that:

As for Hotzone personnel onsite, I’m waiting for more to come from our anonymous commenter – who may or may not be the lady who appears to write the cited PRAVOSUDIYA.NET blog (which in turn is not citing sources). Or else from other sources.

I agree it’s funny no word on this from elsewhere yet.
