Great to have English subtitles on ANNA reports. They do great job, the subtitles make their work accessible to many who would never be able see what they are reporting. The Jewish run, zionazi western media is useless for anything but zionazi propaganda. And this includes most of the so-called alternative media sources in the zionazified west, such a Znet, Democracy now, The Real News and so on, which are zionized propaganda selling the same old rubbish to the tune of some fictional zionist portrayal of what opposition to themselves should look like.

An article in The National Interest, US makes some nice admissions:

America’s turn to jihadi proxies did not start with Bush’s strategic malpractice in Iraq. It was born on July 3, 1979, when President Carter signed the first directive to arm jihadists in Afghanistan, before Soviet forces invaded the country. For U.S. policymakers, collaborating with Riyadh to launch transnational jihad in Afghanistan seemed a clever way to undermine the Soviet Union—by goading it into a draining occupation of Afghanistan, which Carter’s national security adviser, Zbigniew Brzezinski, hoped to make Moscow’s Vietnam. Ultimately, Red Army garrisoning of Afghanistan contributed only marginally (if at all) to the Soviet Union’s dissolution. But U.S. support for the mujahideen and cooperation with Riyadh contributed critically to al-Qa’ida, the Taliban, and 9/11.

MOSCOW, June 16 (Reuters) – Russia’s Gazprom said on Monday Ukraine had failed to pay at least part of its gas debts by a 0600 GMT deadline and would now have to pay up front for deliveries.

It said in a statement that Ukraine’s state-controlled Naftogaz had also failed to pay for June deliveries, suggesting supplies could now be cut.

“Today, from 10:00 a.m. Moscow time, Gazprom, according to the existing contract, moved Naftogaz to prepayment for gas supplies … Starting today, the Ukrainian company will only get the Russian gas it has paid for,” it said.

    @saker

I had sent you an email on Friday, but I don’t know if it went through. The following is a timeline till Friday of what’s happening in Iraq. If you open an open thread I’ll keep posting updates.

    Timeline
10th June: Daash completes it’s takeover of Mosul and frees hundreds of prisoners.
10th June: According to the BBC, some residents of Mosul were glad that army units had fled. They disliked the army and felt liberated.
11th June: the Iraqi army has fled Tikrit. They exchanged their military uniforms for civilian ones and walked away. Maliki has ordered those fleeing to be prosecuted/punished.
11th June: the most influential Shia Marja in Iraq, Ayatollah Sistani, has confirmed his support to the armed forces fighting Daash. The Shias can now die with religious sanction.
11th June: Sadr has called for the formation of Shia militias for the protection of Shia religious sites. These include the Askari shrines in the Sunni City of Samarra. They are being called the Al-Salam Brigades.
11th June: The absconding Vice President of Iraq, who’s warrant by the judiciary aggravated the Sunni uprising, has congratulated Daash on its stunning victory. He has termed it a revolution of the oppressed.
11th June: Tribes residing around the town of Hawija, North East of Baiji, have gathered forces and are waiting for the army to arrive to retake the town. It had fallen into Daash hands after the local security forces fled.
12th June: Daash has started using helicopters captured from army bases in Mosul to ferry supplies.
12th June: Turkey has decided not to send in troops to try to free 80 of its citizens that have been taken hostage. Tehran has condemned the kidnapping.
12th June: Rumours are that 7000 US troops have arrived in Iraq.
12th June: The Iraqi Air Force bombs Daash positions in Mosul. The neighbourhoods of Al-Quds and Al-Tahrir are back in army hands according to Al Manar. The army is also fighting back in Anbar and Fallujah. Saddam’s palace in Tikrit has been bombed by the Iraqi airforce killing Militants sheltering there.
12th June: Half of Iraq’s Christian population resides in Niniveh province. Many of those displaced by Daash in Mosul are Iraqi Christians.
12th June: 60 vehicles belonging to Daash were reportedly destroyed in air strikes in Diyala
12th June: according to the Wall Street Journal and RT, two battalions of the Qods force are now in Iraq. They are fighting in Tikrit where they have retaken 85% of the city. The Americans and Iranians may end up fighting on the same side.
12th June: The Peshmergas have reportedly attacked and killed 20 Daash militants trying to enter Iraq from Syria in Sinjar.
12th June: Iraqi Hizballah units have attacked and killed 60 Daash militants in Samara and captured 37. This is from a Shia blog.
12th June: Robert Fisk has pointed the finger at Saudi, Qatar, and Kuwait of funding Daash and has blamed its existence on The USA and the UK

13th June: two more towns in the neighbouring Diyala province have fallen into rebel hands.
13th June: Most Sunni Militias that were upset with the central government have joined ranks with the rebels.
13th June: General Sulaimani of the Qods force is reportedly in Baghdad. He has taken over the war effort and is regrouping Iraqi forces that had fled.
13th June: The Shia are having doubts about the takeover of the Turkish embassy. Apparently not a single shot was fired. The governor of Mosul had made a trip to Turkey on the 2nd of June. The takeover of Mosul is being seen as an act of collusion between the Sunni governor, Turkey and Daash.
13th June: the representative of Ayatollah Sistani reads out his instructions: Citizens who are able to bear arms and fight terrorist, defending their country and their people and their holy places, should volunteer and join the security forces to achieve this holy purpose. He who sacrifices for the cause of defending his country and his family and his honour will be a martyr.
NB: no Ayatollah in Shia Islam has the authority to declare Jihad. That can only be done by an Imam. Please read Sistani’s words carefully, DEFENDING. It’s a concept called Difa e Watan, which is permitted. However, this call to arms is nothing short of a game changer.
13th June: China has offered assistance to the Government in Baghdad.
13th June: The Mujahideen e Khalq, one of the craziest cults to come out of the Iranian revolution, has expressed happiness at the success of Daash in overrunning the north.
13th June: Saddam’s daughter, Raghad, claims that members of the Ba’ath party played a major role in the fall of Mosul.
13th June: Obama has ruled out sending troops and has gone as far as to say that Iraq’s neighbours have an obligation to play their part in aiding the country’s security.
13th June: Maliki’s adviser has laid the blame for the current mess on the Americans. The Americans have left Iraq without proper air assets, training or human intelligence. He believes if the Americans do not step up, Iran will. “They will fight and fight very hard.”
14th June: Iraq blocks out social media. Twitter suspends the accounts of Daash members.
14th June: Awakening forces are working along side the army in regions surrounding Tikrit
14th June: the army, not the airforce, has carried out airstrikes in Mosul
14th June: Iran’s president Rouhani has expressed willingness to conditionally work with the United States in fighting Daash
14th June: Turkomen fighters west of Mosul are regrouping against Daash
14th June: the spokesman for the Iraqi Army Chief, Qassim Atta, has asked the BBC to be factual in its reporting.
14th June: the army claims to control the entire province of Salahuddin
14th June: The Iraqi Scientist Group, an Iraqi Sunni Organisation has called on Sunnis to oppose Daash
14th June: The Guardian reports that 2000 Iranian troops are already in Iraq. They are Basiji troops. Basijis are very religious. I have personally met Basijis who had illegally entered Iraq for the Ziarat of Hussain ibn Ali (as). A generation before they constituted the bulk of Iran’s Human waves.

First: Wow, what a beautiful lady!!!

Then: one of the most insightful op-eds of the last few days is about ISIS, from

    http://www.syrianperspective.com/2014/06/the-inner-core-of-isis-the-invasive-species.html#ljXZFl0a9OeCsewh.99

It describes a coalition between the very angry baathist general al-Dhouri, with many contacts in the iraqi army and with the sunni tribal leaders, and the cannibals of ISIS.

Actually, the non human genius al Baghdadi seems to be copying the strategy of Petraeus (buying the loyalty of sunni tribal sheikhs and promising influence in government).

Maliki fucked this up, creating the perfect conditions for the current crisis.

I would love to see an analysis from you, Saker, but let me put my view down here:

Ideologically ISIS and al Dhouri + the tribal sheikhs can hardly be further apart: a coalition like this can only be stable as long as there is a common strategic purpose: (re-)conquest, battle en perhaps revenge.

So the ONE and ONLY factor which could keep this monstrum alive and growing would be western military intervention.

The only solution I can see is cordoning off the ISIS territory with help from Iran and Syria (Assad), NO offensive action yet. Meanwhile very covert negotiations with al Dhouri, who can blow this whole thing up from within.

And here I see a very strong parallel with the policies of Putin, and what you warn us against: Premature and overt military intervention would be the only thing which can make this nazi-zio-anglo-neocon monstrum grow exponentially and survive!

14th June: the son of Iraq’s former Vice President, Ibrahim Izzat al Douri is reportedly killed along with 50 Ba’athist is Tikrit
14th June: two Iranian Shia families that had left Samarra for the south were attacked and left dead in the streets of Samarra by Daash
14th June: tribal fighters numbering 8000 have volunteered to join the security forces in Tal Afar, west of Mosul. Joint patrols were initiated. The city is a ethnic Turkoman Shia City.
14th June: Sistani’s office issues a clarification on his calls to arms. Reiterates that it is not in any way permitted to indulge in sectarian warfare. He has asked Shias to exercise restraint. Wonder when the Sunnis will realise the difference in attitude of the Shia and the Sunni.
15th June: Ayatollah Sistani’s representative is forced to clarify to Shias in the UK that his call was to Shia Iraqis and that British Muslims do not have to travel to Iraq. This was after reports that Shias in the UK were packing their bags and booking tickets for Iraq. May God reward them.
15th June: Al Manar claims that the Iraqi Security Forces have retaken the entire province of Salahuddin
15th June: Daash posts videos of a mass execution of 1700 Shia men in Salahddin province. Captured army combatants were captured, segregated, Sunnis sent home, Shias beaten and executed like lambs to the slaughter. Any commentator who thinks ISIL is colluding against the Sunnis should by now realise their error. They may be spoiling their name but they are only against the Shia.
15Th June: Tony Blair has expressed his view that had the West bombed Syria after the chemical attacks, the current mess could have been avoided. In his opinion another crusade is needed one against Assad in Syria and another invasion of Iraq. His gross insensitivity has even his former colleagues embarrassed.
16th June: Tal Afar has fallen to Daash after heavy fighting and heavy casualties on both sides. The commander of the security forces, who was leading the security forces, Abu Al-Walid is reported captured.
16th June: the fighting in Tal Afar has been fierce. With many dead and wounded. An exodus of 200000 fleeing residents.
16th June: the Kurds have shipped more oil to Turkey. They are now economically an independent state.
16th Nechirvan Barzani, the Kurdish premier, is in Tehran for talks. The Kurds have taken over strategic targets such as the Syrian border crossing of
16th June: according to the Telegraph, The Iraqi security services have interrogated a Daash messenger, Abu Hajjar. They managed to kill Abdul Rehman Al Bilawi, the head of Daash military council based on the intelligence he provided. The execution of 1700 Shias is being as retaliation for this.

    Il Discobolo

when I proposed to “flood” the ECHR (Europen Court of Human Rights) with complaints for the atrocities, damage of private properties, indiscriminate bombing by Ukr. Army of densely populated areas, etc., I suggested to create for that a team of western attorneys. That not to exclude russian attorneys: they are of course needed to help to collect the documentations and properly fill the complaints. The western team, acting in coordination within the russian team, would have to assist, push, follow the complaints having no troubles to travel and stay in the EU.
And when the ECHR will see hundreds of well documented complaints, followed by a team of local attorneys, it could not ignore them at all, or drag on.

Is it so difficult to implement that? Of course, this will have a cost, but it will be well spent money.

    Another point.
There is someome that is thinking to make a movie (a fiction) on what happening in Novorossija? A movie with not only pathos but also great and spectacular scenic effects. To be dubbed in several languages ad then to be diffused everywhere, even by donwloading?
What do you wait? That Hollywood will present “their” version?
As for the infamous “5 days of war” for 080808?

“Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yatsenyuk: We will commemorate the heroes by cleaning our land from the evil
    Today, 03:17
“We bow our heads to the heroes who lost their lives for the sake of their country, to prevent the war from coming into the house of each of us”, – said the Prime-Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk while expressing condolences to the families and friends of those military men killed last night near Luhansk.

“They lost their lives because they defended men and women, children and the elderly who found themselves in a situation facing a threat to be killed by invaders and sponsored by them subhumans. First, we will commemorate the heroes by wiping out those who killed them and then by cleaning our land from the evil”, – he said.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk reassured that the Government of Ukraine will take care of the families and loved ones of those killed.”

Agreed, Sistani cannot issue a fatwa for Jihad to his followers, worldwide. This can be only done by a Prophet and/or an Imam.

Agreed, it is a game changer fatwa. First time in a Shia history a fatwa like this is issued. Difa e Watan means “Defending the Nation” fatwa. This fatwa is for all Iraqis, irregardless of their religions and/or sects. It is for Iraqis Shias, Sunnis, Christians, Jews, Kurds …..

The demonstration in Odessa in front of the Russ consulate was interesting as there were zero tough looking RS males there. Are they all at the front in the east? What does it mean that a RS leader in Odessa was beaten and had his laptop stolen a few days ago? At the consulate, a group of mostly women demanded that they stop flying the Russian flag at their own consulate.

Just skimming the news from RT and itar-tass, and wondering:

    a. Could that Siberian oil refinery explosion have been terrorism (i.e., us)?

    b. 122,000 Ukrainian refugees have already fled to Russia, 9,000 alone on Friday.

    c. Gazprom done did it! Energy Minister Alexander Novak rubbed it in a bit, too (for the EU’s sake, I guess, since Ukraine. Is. US. at this point), saying that Russia had been ready to provide financial aid to Ukraine within the framework of the tripartite consultations. All they have to do is pay their outstanding debt, which of course we will not let happen. Too bad, so sad.

    d. Lavror says there is nothing to talk about with Deschytsia (part of whose name, pronounced in English, does seem appropriate).

    and this just in:

    e. Poroshenko says he will offer a ceasefire but sees “no need to involve in a protracted negociation process”. Uh, I’d trust him about as far as I can throw him and I’m osteoporotic enough to have lost 3″ in height and guessing he outweighs me by about 140 lbs.

Also, the Odessa protesters who were bussed in from western Ukraine (nobody speaks Ukrainian in Odessa) wanted to attack Katerinchuk who is the Right Sector chief of police in Odessa since early May. You could imagine someone like him switching sides when he sees how unreasonable the anti-Russian side has become (one wonders how much the Americans and Russians are offering him in cash). While some of the police today may have been right sector themselves, nobody in the crowd looked menacing which is in stark contrast to what was seen on May 2nd and the Maidan. My theory stands that the whole purpose of the war in the east is to get the most violent demonstrators off the streets in Kiev and Odessa, etc.

MOSCOW, June 16. /ITAR-TASS/. For the period that Ukraine has not paid for Russian gas supplies, it has pumped astronomical volumes into its underground gas storage facilities, Gazprom’s CEO Alexey Miller said Monday.
Out of 12.5 billion cubic meters of gas in Ukraine’s underground storages, 11.5 billion cubic meters is Russian gas that Ukraine has not paid for, Miller added.
He said the storage facilities should have over 18 billion cubic meters to be prepared for winter.

I picture a leak and a flame as a Christmas present from Donbass if this war continues.

The words of “вот так,” who is clearly one of “the Saker’s” ideological co-thinkers, once again demonstrates the impossibility of effectively opposing the fascist-laden imperialist puppet regime in Kiev on the basis of right-wing nationalist politics.

To the vicious Ukrainian chauvinism and anti-semitism espoused by pro-regime forces like Svoboda, Praviy Sektor, etc. he counterposes Russian chauvinism and anti-semitism.

Ultimately the goal of scuh elements, which tend to be close to Putin, is to limit the opposition to the Ukrainian regime in east Ukraine to secessionist movements and prevent the emergence of a broad, working-class movement that can unite working people from all parts of Ukraine. A multi-regional / bi-lingual working class movement for socialism and against the regime in Kiev would not only be able to cause that regime huge problems (and thus consequently for its backers in Washington, Brussels and Berlin,) but would be an inspiration to the working class within Russia itself in opposition to Putin’s pro-capitalist, oligarchic regime (which is fundamentally the same as that in Ukraine.)

The “logic” of the Sakers and Vot Taks of the world is to use the poison of nationalism (and in this case more-or-less blatant Jew hatred) to try to prevent the anger of the masses against reactionary bourgeois and chauvinist regimes like the one in Kiev from turning into unified, multi-ethnic, multi-national, multi-religious, etc. working class movements against capitalism and imperialism.

This morning WAPO published an OP-ED about Russian gas monopoly — and the events which created it. Funny thing. The writer (another ZIO “expert” teaching at Georgetown — to incredibly ill-informed students…) outlined “mafia techniques” implemented by Russian Oligarchs who directed all events impacting energy during those years. What these “experts” consistently and purposely fail to explain is that ZIONIST Oligarchs (neo-Bolsheviks) held all the cards and had the real power in Russia. It was Putin who began to dismantle their chokehold. Those Oligarchs (i.e. Kodorkovsky) did what every self-respecting Oligarch does – they eliminate the competition. Hence, thanks to Oligarchs, Russian oil & gas has a virtual monopoly in Europe. If Putin had continued to play their game — all would be forgiven by Empire Cartel mouthpieces. It’s so quaint that Anglo-Zionist “minders” still believe Americans are TOTAL idiots. That we have no concept of recent history. And this one teaches at Georgetown. Yikes. Tic-toc Zios — tic-toc. Ukraine has 11B cu m of gas stored, they need 18B cu m as storage but they use 49.59B cu m per year.

I’m guessing most of that use is during the cold months. Since they also have an aging population and it has been under psychological stress, illness could be a real factor inside Ukraine soon. Kiev is on a path to nowhere. Civil war, criminality, corruption, exploitation by IMF and EU, shortages, a ruined economy, debt, ruined currency, shrinking exports, a loss of another generation of its best youth.

False expectations will have a profound effect on their population. Crimea will become a developing gem while the vast stretches of Ukraine go to weed and rust.

The US can send mercenaries and weapons. It can advise policy. But what it can’t do is keep Ukraine warm, healthy and developing.

Allies of America who allow war on its territory are doomed. Think of how long it took South Korea, Vietnam, Central America, North African nations to recover and grow. Most haven’t. The others took decades.

Ukraine is delusional in rejecting friendship with Russia and turning from a development path that would have been driven by Russia and China as well as Europe. They could have had it all.

The US can send MREs and body bags. The future for Kiev looks dark and cold.

SBU head: Ukraine waging war against a new wave of Orthodoxy

Militias fighting in New Russia, “poisoned” by the Russian Orthodox fundamentalism ideology, the chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentyn Nalyvaychenko in the program “ShusterLive” at First National.

According to the American puppet, Ukraine conducted the attack on two fronts – and military information.

“Its main component – this is information warfare, brainwashing the people of Lugansk and Donetsk regions. A former criminals in power, from the ex-president to the commander of interior troops in the territory of the Russian Federation to mobilize, disburse militants and weapons, created a terrorist organization, marauding and send them to fight against their own people, “- said Nalyvaychenko.

But he said the main danger outlook and basis of resistance – “Orthodox fundamentalism.”
“The danger is that this confession as a new wave of Orthodoxy – Orthodox fundamentalism. This is a dangerous ideology that is used in this hybrid war, “- said the chairman of the SBU.

Recall that the Ukrainian security officials for their part actively involves fighting militants openly nationalist and fascist organizations that are many times shot unarmed civilians, abused prisoners and perform many other war crimes. Apparently Ukrainian authorities do not consider this ideology and its representatives dangerous.

Putin finally shut off the gas.

Isn’t it sad that he is conceptually behind some dudes on the internet?

He has this strange belief in his personal diplomatic prowess, even though his tenure in office shows no sign of it working in the West. His style is more appropriate to the people of the East who have a hard life. Every western leader goes through a crucible called “undergraduate education” at an elite school. There you learn that lies are truth and how to network and use nepotism and psycopathic traits to get ahead. Putin’s world-view (he’s a humble and self-made man of virtue) is absolutely anti-thetical to that.

If Putin were to continue the program of some dudes on the internet, he would ramp up the rhetoric using official diplomatic statements, Russia Today, etc, in order to paint a clear picture of a just world order that respects indigenous culture and humanity as opposed to hegemony that destroys indigenous culture and wants to replace it with techno-tyranny.

He could do that as Russia takes the UN Presidency.

He can also make it very clear that the full power of the Russian state will be used to protect Russians (implied here is the use of nuclear weapons if needed). He can then reposition Russian forces in a posture that can destroy offensive capabilities of the Kiev-puppet regime and use the heightened tension to push for a negotiated settlement.

The West is distracted now by Iraq, so he will have a better time than last time where he was hobbled by his belief that he could find a willing partner somewhere in the West of tensions declined.

Quite the opposite, he will only find fault lines in the West if tensions are high.

Finally, if the West fails to agree to a cease-fire, Putin can up the ante dramatically by detonating a nuke in an uninhabited area while shooting an ICBM into the ocean. If the West wants to be macho, then he must use force to stop the killings.

    Mohamed:

I believe Daash is Arabic for ISIL (ISIS). I might be wrong.

    (…)
ISIS is an English acronym for Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (sometimes translated “Levant”). In Arabic the acronym is “Daa’esh” for Al-Dawla Al-Islaamiyya Fi-Al-‘Iraaq wa Al-Shaam”. It’s leader is a fellow by the non de guerre of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdaadi. It is a Salafist-Takfiri group aiming to resurrect the now-defunct institution of the caliphate. It’s origins are pure Al-Qaeda with a twist.

“Daa’esh” = “Daash” = ISIL (ISIS) seems likely

Your post could be qualified as conspiracy to commit a crime against a US citizen. The only reason I posted it here is to make it absolutely darn clear to you and to anybody else who might think about involving this blog into that kind of stuff is that I categorically reject this type of “offers” and I ask you to never post on this blog again. I don’t know whether this is an attempt at entrapment or if you are naive to the extreme, but all you are achieving with this kind of communications is putting everybody in danger. Consider this reply of mine as a formal “Cease and desist” reply.

Daulat al Islam if al-Iraq wal-Sham translated as Islamic state in Iraq and Greater Syria or ISIS. Another crazy Wahhabi “rag tag militia.” However, this one seems to be going places. It has so far not attacked only two players in this game, Turkey and Saudi Arabia(The attack on the Turkish embassy is being seen as a ruse). Their interpretation of Islam scares even devout Muslims. It’s policies turned most Syrians opposing Assad into Assad loyalist, something similar might eventually happen in Iraq. They are being funded by Saudi and other gulf Arab States.

The punishment for using the term Daash is 80 lashes. Like the Salafists don’t like the term Wahhabi and the Shia don’t like the term Rafidah, the Daash do not like the term Daash

    Il Discobolo,

I took advantage of your suggestion and contacted Francis Boyle; this is right up his alley. We had quite a correspondence, which I detailed in whatever post it was you first brought it up. Exec. summary: he’s willing to help but feels it should be Russian/Novorossiyan attorneys who take the lead so at his suggestion I contacted a guy he’d worked with before at People’s Univ. of Moscow and set it all out. Friday it was, I think. Haven’t heard back though; will let you know when I do.

So now nationialism = anti-Semitism? Please.

At this point it looks like breathing-while-non-Jewish = anti-Semitism. The best definition, really, is that an anti-Semite is anyone a Jew doesn’t like.

And that is pretty much everyone else.

    AGS,

Left you a response on the other post. Basically, I just really like everything you said.

    Andrew,

Oh boy. I wonder how long it will take for “Orthodox Fundamentalism” to take hold in The Mighty Wurlitzer. Want to place odds? (I don’t gamble but this is a sure thing!) Who the hell are the people that come up with ISIS (aka Aset, just pronounce it) and Orthodox Fundamentalism?

I am from Belgium and would like to help the people in Novorossiya if I could be useful somewhere. I don’t have military training but I could help in other ways by volunteering work? What is the best way to get in, any advice on this?
