I wonder what Iran’s response to an attack would be? Will countless cycles of what Gareth Porter calls “escalation dominance” culminate in the use of tactical nukes? Will Russia stand by while America runs roughshod in the region or will it arm the Iranians, Syrians, and possibly even the Iraqis with state of the art tactical weaponry?
I know it’s far-fetched but once a fire is started you have to wonder where it will all end. At the outset of WWI who would have guessed it would turn into a conflict that would engulf all of Europe, even America in war, that would have detroyed two empires and set the stage for WWII?
