Jeff Beck’s rendition of the Stevie Wonder tune “Cause We Ended As Lovers” is a long time favourite. Had not heard Tal Wilkenfeld before, so this performance was a real delight to listen to. Always been partial to women bass players. Such as Ariane Cap:

Superb!
I think she was about 20 years old back then and already – as is apparent – one of the world’s leading bass players. The drummer too is amazing, Vinnie Colaiuta. And Jason Rebello on keyboards, a veteran and continually innovating musician.
It’s an incredibly hot crew to keep up with Beck. What a show.
Thanks, Saker!
yes, amazing… I knew this tune long time ago, but my favourite version is this one, live at Ronnie Scott’s gig…

Thank You!
Thanks for putting this up. Awesome piece and musicians. Don’t know if there is a better bass player anywhere, male or female than Tal Wilkenfeld. This very video has been in my collection since it came out.
Here she is with Jeff Beck six years later, at Madison Square Garden;

There was a programme on UK TV (BBC iplayer) called Jeff Beck ‘Still on the run’, recently where Jeff Beck was discussed by other musicians. The consensus was, no other guitarist can do what he does. If you are a Beck fan, and can access the BBC site, it’s worth a watch.

I saw them on that tour and they were great :-)

She can sing as well this + many other music videos and photos of many famous and not so famous artists (my own photos). I’ve posted in the Cafe’ for two years.
Enjoy

It was good but to tell you the truth, I’d rather watch and listen to Clapton.
Thank you, thank you, thank you… listened many times over the years. Wonderful!
