My job title when I resigned from a major British Company in 2004 was Principal IT Analyst. To be fair, I didn’t resign, I just pleaded with the Very Senior Management to make me Redundant, and pay me full compensation and pension, under The Redundancy Scheme. It took them 3 years to agree, whilst I trained my staff, and the contractors to be able to do, the job that I had been doing. The Redundancy payment paid off my mortgage. The Pension was nearly half my salary, indexed linked. Despite having, wife (childminder pin money), and young teenage kids, I thought I should be able to not only survive at the age of 51, but also learn about everything ..politics, history, religion, and numerous other aspects of life including a lot of travel, that I would otherwise be unable to do in my life.
I knew I had to leave on September 12th 2001, when I was actually on a Flash Course at Learning Tree International, very close to Euston Station. I discussed it with me lecturer, the next day after 9/11.
I knew the world had changed, but wasn’t completely certain until February 2003. It was like a bolt out of the blue. In one moment (and I was at work at the time) I knew the entire story of 9/11 was impossible. It totally defied the laws of physics and maths, that I had studied at university. I showed everyone I knew the Evidence..I thought it was obvious.
Almost Everyone thought I had gone mad…But I was merely doing My Job as a Principal Analyst.
