http://www.syrianperspective.com/ is an excellent site for up-to-date info on military events in Syria, written by a pro-Assad Syrian who has an astonishing grasp of the English language, which he uses to colorfully insult those foreigners who are invading and killing Syrians.
I’ve noticed you have become a carping harpy at times.
Who’s winning? What popularity Assad has?
The Syrians are fighting the most powerful forces on Earth. Syria protects Armenians, Christians, and all sorts of tiny minorities.
You sound down on them. That would put you on the side of the liver-eaters, the Turks, the Hegemon, the Israeli mischief makers.
I checked out the link and the man behind it.

He’s prolific on Middle East topics if you Internet Search him.
You’re absolutely right, the site you referred to is very good and the gentlemen in question is gifted in his English Language skills (he is an attorney, so that might explain it). I’ve often read his blog.
He’s very funny and will introduce the uninitiated to the highly developed Syrian sense of humour that develops sarcasm to an art. Sure sometimes he puts a rosier picture on some battles than actually is the case, but it sure beats the pure BS flowing from the MSM.
This is an excellent review of the month’s activities, gains and losses, strategies and tactics and alliances of Kurds and Assad. It isn’t a rosy picture, but it brings together words and graphics that clarify the turmoil and cleanses the facts of media bias.
Excellent presentation by the great talents of SouthFront.
1.She obtained permission from President Obama and consent from congressional leaders in both houses of Congress and in both parties to arm rebels in Syria and Libya in an effort to overthrow the governments of those countries.
Many of the rebels Clinton armed, using the weapons lawfully sold to Qatar by Turi and others, were terrorist groups who are our sworn enemies. There was no congressional declaration of war, no congressional vote, no congressional knowledge beyond fewer than a dozen members, and no federal statute that authorized this.
2. Here’s the scoop: Two days before the swaggering Sec-Def touched down in Germany, Gazprom announced that it was putting the finishing touches on a massive deal that would double the amount of Russian gas flowing to Germany via a second Nord Stream pipeline. The shocking announcement made it look like the clueless Carter had no idea what was going on and that his efforts to isolate Russia were a complete flop. And, make no mistake; the deal is huge, big enough to change the geopolitical calculus of the entire region.
3. Teddy Casino, a former representative in Congress and currently spokesman of the leftist militant group Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (New Patriotic Alliance), said history should remind Filipinos about the abuses of both the Americans and Japanese when both countries occupied the Philippines.
“It is clear that the interest of the U.S. and Japan is not to protect the Philippines from China, nor to preserve our territory and our sovereignty,” he said in his speech. “Rather, what the U.S. and Japan are after is to further expand their domination in the entire Asia so that they can impose and bring in the excess of their capital, their products, and advance their imperialist agenda of domination in the entire region.”

How about you read it and then quote us something fresh and relevant from it? like which group is winning?
Do you know of any recent opinion polls saying Assad’s popularity?
