I had an appointment in London yesterday, and combined it with a visit to No.10 Downing Street, or rather to the gates of No. 10. I stood, a sole protester, on my own in front of the police guard and behind the crash barriers and held up a notice saying: “Bombing of Syria – a War Crime. Not in my Name Prime Minister”. Passers by and lots of tourists read it, and various people agreed but appeared sheepish. One policeman in particular was very supportive in that he let me stand there, and rebuked an aggressive man who started waving his phone at me and saying “Rubbish” to me. When I said “Goodbye” to the policeman he wished me well and told me to look after myself. Mm suggests he did not support the bombing of Syria on Saturday.
It reminded me of protesting in 1999 against the awful, criminal bombing of Yugoslavia.
I hope, as you say the voices of we who are “submarines in the desert”, or no longer sitting in Plato’s Cave ( a great apt allegory) will add up.
Am outraged at the support given in Parliament yesterday to Theresa May by most of the politicians – the elected representatives of the people .With a few exceptions, particularly Jeremy Corbyn, a true statesman and decent human being, most British MPS are brain washed, unprincipled and corrupt. Tony Blair is still not behind bars.

Yes, and there have been small protests, but those oldies amongst us who have previously marched and demonstrated over the years know that such tactics are pointless today. They get zero press coverage and change nothing. In fact, the undercovers who infiltrated most radical and left leaning groups were far better at protesting and action, being a tad more ruthless, than the true believer.
Vets for peace have picketed the Maybot in her lair though, which is cheering, to me at least. I will shamelessly grasp at any straw while expecting no miracles.

Exactly… I marched the street in a mass protest against PM Johnnie Howard (NO WAR) in the lead up to Iraq war. The govt sent every household a fridge magnet “Be Alert but not Alarmed” … I sent it back unopened.
I sent numerous letters to MPs and PM Tony Abbott (mr Shirt front) protesting against Poroshenko killing his own people. Foreign Minister Julie Bishop replied some six months later ‘the govt support the integrity of Ukraine’s borders’.
I have protested in many places and lost friends in the process because their ideas are so rusted on. So now I tend to say less because … ‘a person convinced against their will, is of the opinion still’.
But yesterday in the middle of pilates class, when the usual gasbag (a fellow exerciser who always regurgitates the latest ‘news’) droned on ‘the poor Syrian children’, I had to speak up. To borrow from RT, I urged her to Question More.
So good luck, Sara … you are not alone.
These are the truly brave people. Because they are despised by both sides: One side for telling the truth, the other side for the land they happened to have been incarnated in and or probably for “not doing enough”/”being sheep”/”being the new Germans”.

I did the same in front of the US consulate in Perth with my gf of that time before the first Gulf war. Just the two of us. No one seemed to mind.
Imagine if 1,000 or more had stood with her. And notice, no “Christians” have lifted their voices to protest. With a few brave and principled persons as the shining exceptions, the Anglo nations have become like cattle, mutely watching humanitarian assaults on their fellow human beings and awaiting their turns at the slaughter house.

Majority of people don’t care until it comes very near to them. Sad to say but only coffins arriving home will wake up millions of people. And even then propaganda will hit back. I have not much illusions about western intellectual people. Remember even men of Enlightenment backed slavery.
Protesting is demonized for sometimes good reasons. Street thugs, false flag situations, criminals, lunatics all have colored public protests toward the negative.
Sara’s singular protest is exemplary.
Why Christians don’t protest? They tend to listen to authority. If the Church, parish or family leaders don’t say to do it, they don’t take the initiative.
Ignorance of the cultural and civilizational space of Syria in history, especially religious history, and very much in the 20th century history of being a safe haven for the Armenians (Christians, mainly), all forms of Christianity, all forms of Islam, and even Jews. All most people heard of Syria was “family of dictators”.
So, it’s up to the informed to “represent”.

Why people don’t take action ? we talked about this many times here on this forum, one of the main reason is : – they don’t feel themselves as being hurt,
– they live in peace and in relative prosperity for the most
– they don’t want to lose the above
But, if they were to be sent in war and suffer loses, feel the results of a monetary crash in their pockets, feel the reality of bombardments, well…that will be another state of mind.
To sum it up : they don’t act out of fear or better said running from fear, as running from a trap and falling in yet another which will be the Real Fear.

There is a concept out there called “Gideon’s Army”, which involves a small but highly determined group of people taking on a much larger opponent, and defeating them. I strongly believe many Christians are leaving the apostate churches in response to the counsel to “come out of her, my people, so that you will not take part in her sins.” Let’s pray for strength in the coming days, and weeks, and months.
Courageous people exist and they deserve our support. I watched all three hours of Kevin Shipp’s presentation yesterday and there is no question in my mind we have collectively identified the problem of the Deep State and Shadow Government.

We’ve done some roadside protesting here in rural Missouri, a right wing and very “Christian” Dominionist state. My wife was shocked and upset at the number of times people gave her the middle finger.

What is happening there is Orwellian: around 1 month ago they BANNED from the country 3 young foreign journalists/activists, and no Media reported the news. They are: the famous Twitter reporter Lauren Southern, the european Martin Sellner and US activist Brittany Pettibone.. the reason? They organized a meeting about free-speech at “speaker’s corner” in London. They got accused of inciting violence between the communities and banned from UK when arrived at the airport, before they made the speech. The news was CENSORED worldwide, they even made a huge protest with over 10000 people at London “speakes corner”. No media reported the news. What is different now, increasingly, in the internet age is the number and quality of individuals who have shared experiences and insights of their struggles with others, and accelerated the overall breadth and depth of learning.
The other thing that is different is the number and quality of the experienced, well-qualified whistle blowers who were on the inside, in some cases for decades and know a great deal of the depth of crimes of people like GHW Bush and his father Prescott…..saw a lot of things on the inside….and finally had enough….not just to quit, but to quit and make a second career out of doing something effective about it.
It was much, much harder in the eighties and nineties to get informed in any depth…..and also, the example of Sara in London shows that right in the heart of the beast there is a human consciousness that demonstrates itself in such ways as she has related. This tells you that you are not nearly as alone as you may have thought you were.
If the density of such things increases markedly……well that’s a marker that the tried and true methods of the oligarchy for social control may be on the verge of no longer working. As long as that spirit gains strength and does not weaken…..the needed changes are within mankind’s grasp.

Sarah’s courage in her solitary demonstration against the British war crimes and her civil treatment by a singular police person is to be most welcomed.
However, I would remind every one of the wickedness of the British Monarchy’s Government, following it’s Governments crushing of the ‘ nation-wide general strike’ at the end of the first Germanic World war.
During the start of the General strike, the police force of the City of Liverpool not only sympathized with the strikers and also it was unionized and loyal to join the largest general strike since and ever in British history.
Tragically for the cause of Democracy then and to this day, the government was able eventually to break, and defeat the strikers.
But it is still worth remembering this criminal fate of the City of Liverpool police force at the end of the strike!
Because the City force with a very few exceptions were all discharged with dishonor, and as a result no other of Great Britain’s police and security organizations were able to offer the strikers future employment, similarly this criminally human rights embargo was even enacted in all of the Colonial entities of the Crown, and its protectorates worldwide?
