Dear friends,
Some of you might now that I have banned the topic of climate change. I did not do a very good job enforcing that. I have to now add two more topics to the banned list: any discussion about the former French Saker or former Serbian Saker blogs or anybody associated with them or any entity linked in any way with any of the persons associated with them is now completely banned. Please don’t ask me why, or speculate about the reasons. Please trust me when I say that this ban is needed and important for the entire Saker community. I also ask all the other Saker blogs to stick to the same rule.
The Saker
I read a comment somewhere, I think on another site, and it said that trolls try to get you to respond because when you lose your temper and put something silly in print, like wishing harm on someone for example, then you’ve laid the trail to be accused of hate speech, and shut down by your Internet host.
Maybe that’s off topic from what you’re requesting, and not the point at all – but it taught me that there can be many reasons for a site to establish and enforce its rules of conduct, and it’s better not to inquire why, simply to follow those rules.
Again, this may be irrelevant, but it was my way of saying that you yourself, Saker, are reason enough for me to adhere to your requests – from simple respect – but that also maybe there can be other, more material reasons why people ask the things they ask. What matters is to agree and stay, or disagree and leave.

Yes, definitely. They do that against sites and against individual writers, bloggers and even to get individual comment writers banned from sites.

I’ve seen many tricks used on blogs. The most used ones I’ve seen are by hasbara workers.They constantly ask for more information on a subject.The idea being to keep you busy answering their ceaseless questions and stop you from posting more on the subject.Another of their favorites is to pretend interest,that they even agree with you.But they “just need” a little more clarification.And then it becomes more,then more,then more.Until again you are deadlocked over useless minor details.One other and the common used is to change the subject from your post.To pick out one detail and expand on that to get away from the entire post.I’ve seen in my years of posting all these tactics used.And fallen for them more times than I’d like to remember.Nowadays,I recognize them quicker but still get tricked once and a while.

Yeah I agree that we can find lots to talk about besides these recent events….we’re so happy you’re ok and that everything is going to be ok with you and your costs for your family etc….
@Uncle Bob
those bloggers that try to waste your time…. as soon as you pick them, offer them answers
First give them a few Google search links, then if they persist say
“I have a great e-book that explains all that, only $9.99 if you buy the full set” make it look real with a website link too, make it fake and faulty, like http://www.gudnwz..cmo
It’s called pilpul, hebrew? for hairsplitting tactics in debating. It probly makes a good lawyer..
The Maltz Museum has been buying-up artworks of Marc Breed’s and destroying them.
