Russia feels really alone, but BRIC countries all refused to condemn Russia. Just read that Brazil did. China and India too. So maybe its the west against BRIC — maybe.
Russia has no feelings such as being alone.
First, 2/3rds of the world stands with Russia vs the Hegemon.
Second, Russia acts on its own civilizational values. So, those are the independent pillars of Russian beliefs.
Third, there is no country adequate enough to assist in this war against NATO/US. They have no mentality or disposition for war the way the Russians fight.
Russia is the largest landmass in the Eurasia Zone. She is a SuperPower. She possesses the best weapons, all of which are designed to destroy the Hegemon and its vassals and proxies.
What she might require, God will provide, St. Michael will deliver.
Russia is 1/6 of the planet…and counting!
All Western world are 20% of world population and less than 50% of GDP. The rest are against those ”civilised” world.
Here, here Noble Larchmonter445,

Another interesting presentation by Andrei Martyanov. As for Western propaganda, it was predictable when it comes to it’s dishonesty. Nothing surprising there.
One conspicuous feature is the fact that Western propagandists are parroting that “Putin has miscalculated” in Ukraine, and that things are “not” going according to plan. This “fact” is not only directed towards Western audiences, but more so towards the Russian population, the hope being that this would lead to revolts against Putin. It won’t happen. His popularity actually rose. Now I am waiting to see what Western propagandists will say when encircled Ukrainian troops start massively to surrender.
““Putin has miscalculated” in Ukraine, and that things are “not” going according to plan”
Well, anyone with two brain cells to rub together would call the western presstitutes liars right here – how exactly the could make an estimate that Vladimir Vladimirovitch has “miscalculated”? After all, it’s highly unlikely that he discussed his plans with any westerners.
Information is so scarce and there is NO viewpoint of Russians in the US media. Thank you for your updates and reports. Grazie mille.
Thanks Andrei,
I agree and can relate to everything you’ve stated, and thanks for mentioning my namesake.
On another issue, the Chinese games in the South China Sea this weekend; I cannot see that as coincidental.
Will Biden do another tactical withdrawal as he did in the Vatican?
@Andrew S
I do not what you are making reference to when you say ” ….as he did in the Vatican”.
Could you please post a link?
“Just be vigilant against the bullshit.”
I am a fanperson of Martyanov!
“Well hello, that’s me again”
Love it. It makes me like him from the off.
Such is the UK media’s frenzy on spreading their Ukraine propaganda 24/7 you’d believe their very existence depended on it, well maybe it does!
It’s gotten so bad that should Elizabeth II come to pass I’m not sure they’ll even notice. The ones who do notice will interrupt her funeral to bring you an update from Ukraine.
Even the sports pages are asking for donations for Ukraine relief. I smell desperation. Force feeding garbage to the public is a huge turn off, folks start to ask questions about the economy and the health service and all the other important issues, all bad news unfortunately, gas up, petrol up, food well up, hospital waiting times longer, child poverty, and so placed on the back burner, while the good news of Russia’s demise, Ukraine’s imminent victory will somehow keep spirits high.
20% know it’s BS, another 30% have an idea it’s BS and the remaining 50% are BS.
Let’s be brief. The infrastructure of international social networks, most of which are owned by American companies, has been turned into military weapons. Military equipment. This is nothing new , as they did with Egypt, Armenia, and Libya. This is what they did with Georgia. They even did it with their own President Trump. However. Never before. There were never two specific techniques.
1. The Russians against whom the war is being waged have been comprehensively silenced at the hardware level. By removing the accounts of their major speakers and media outlets from social networks and blocking them preemptively. On all platforms.
2. Russians were completely banned from registering on Twitter again. That is, you simply can’t answer, but only read the enemy’s propaganda. For Russians, Twitter is no longer a social network. This is an agitalist against the country.3. In Libya and Egypt, etc., local people were used everywhere for raiota in social networks. Yes. Local protesters. For money and at the call of the heart. Russia uses tactics from the outside. Ukrainian disinformation centers are working against us in our language segment.

There was a world before the social networks, you know. Hell, I even remember the time, when the Internet as most of the people currently know it, didn’t existed. I’m pretty sure that russians could live without Facebook, Twitter and rest of the propaganda machine just fine.
BTW, it’s very easy to see which side in an armed conflict is winning – that’s the side that doesn’t need propaganda to justify its actions or to condemn the actions of the opponent.
I have a question. Why is Russia not committing more of its forces to the Ukraine operation? Would a larger force change much?
If/When reinforcements are required I’m sure Shoigu’s telephone would ring.
I want to emphasize what Andrei said: The Ukrainian military has been denied the ability to maneuver. You don’t see any Ukrainian military moving from one town or city to another.
I’m betting that Russia’s military operation is going exactly according to plan.
Listen to Andrei M. Huge territory conquered in record time.
The tactics and logistics is Combined Arms Counter Force. They have surrounded all the major cities and put the majority of Ukie military in cauldrons. If there were no citizenry to worry about, the war would have been over two days ago.
The Russians used 10% of their military to subdue 100% of the Ukie military.

Even the Daily Mail in London is confirming that Putin is not losing the war in Ukraine. In fact the article basically confirms what The Saker has been writing.
“Putin is not losing the war in Ukraine.”
A typical British PR double-negative twist to the more straight-forward: “Putin is winning the war in Ukraine.”
That’s how the minds are moulded, folks.

TOTAL RISK (Communication) = Empirical (European Blue-eyed Blond-haired) HAZARD + Subjective (Indian, Arab, Latin America, Africa, & China) OUTRAGE. [Peter Sandman, 1993]
The hypocrisy limits are about to go into “Cytokine Storm” levels at the racial hypocrisy (seen as, even if not real in fact) being opened up to public transparency. We can note the Arab Spring (back when) & uprisings in north Africa, and Egypt in particular, caused by wheat and food-oil price inflation etc.
With Russian sanctions (both directions) and mineral, energy, fertilizer, etc about to go hyper-inflation then this risk is a very serious consideration, imo.
there is military doctrine over analyzing the sort of operations you are likely to be involved in(urban, city, desert, jungle, arctic…) and how to utilizeo, train and equip your forces for every possible scenario.
There are also theories concerning to what percentage of your force to commit to offence – in case complications arise elsewhere – for defense…in a nutshell.
as you can see, Russia has some hostile neighbours.
Cant leave the house empty…🙄
1 – Russia expects NATO to join the Fray.
their best equipment awaits it.
2 – Russia went smoothly at first, by now those Ukies still fighting are determined ennemies so expect more hardship from now on.
3 – Some big column right on the west side of southern Belarus is ready to go south to Lutsk/Lvov/Rivne/IvanoFrankovsk to take over the westernmost region of Ukraine. Seems to include Belarussian troops too.
Sources for this military operational info you are dishing?
They are building cauldrons not quagmires. Like Andrei said, Ukraine is a vastly developed network of villages, large and small, unlike anything in the Mideast. Urban warfare would be horrendous for both sides. So they first disabled the UAF’s military as much as possible and are now trying to coax them to surrender, or at least let as many civilians as possible escape. I’m hoping that phase 2 involves financial attacks on the west. Rocket engines are a good first start. That would crash all of NATO’s plots in Ukraine faster than you can ride a broomstick to low earth orbit.
US “intelligence ” is just US telling Ukie generals how bad they’re losing.
As usual, great video, Mr. Martyanov.
I think that it is worth mentioning that the US MIC is comprised of private, repeat, private weapons manufacturers and mercenary and intelligence corporations that are listed on stock markets. “Investors” from literally all over the world, repeat, all over the world, buy these stocks in the hope that these stocks will continue to rise in value over time. I don’t know the USD value of all of these stocks, but it must be an astronomically large number.
As we all know, buying and selling shares of corporations’ stocks on the stock market is nowadays a very simple and, more importantly, very fast — in-the-blink-of-an-eye fast; in-the-time-that-it-takes-for electrons-to-flow-through-a-buy-or-sell-computer-trading-sofware-algorithm fast.
When, not if, the course of the war in Ukraine indicates in the teeny, tiniest way to investors that the war is about to turn in favor of Russia (it has from Day 1, but you know what I mean — when even the professional propagandists cannot make a sow’s ear look like a silk purse to investors’ eyes), and that after this latest defeat World Peace may possibly, finally “break out” instead of perpetual war continuing in perpetuity, there will come flooding into the stock markets a tidal wave of “sell” orders of those war corporations’ shares…………and either “somebody’s” going to have to instantly swoop in to buy those shares (thereby nationalizing the war corporations on behalf of certainly-grateful US taxpayers) to keep prices propped up, or those share prices are going to plummet faster than an Extinction Level Event meteor about to hit the surface of the earth.
So, “the west”, including all the vassal sates of The Greatest, Most Powerful Nation On Planet Earth, has got a lot of USD “riding” on the war in Ukraine. They’re quaking in their boots. There is the distinct possibility that for “the west”, the war in Ukraine is Too Big To Fail. If the US (“Ukraine”) loses this latest of its wars, the flood of sell orders might cause the US’s TBTF war-based economy to actually fail and, shortly thereafter, those of its vassal states.
Again, this is why I say that World Peace breaking out is a far greater threat to the US’s war-based economy than perpetual war.
The US government will simply increase military spending again (and again and again) in order to deal with the (increasing) threats (that they created).
This has been going on since 1945.
@ Ishkabibble
Good insight into that arm of the US war-based economy. I don’t know the extent and amount, but it must be a huge chunk of the GNP if you include all the subsidiary components. Yes, it would be a monumental blow to the US economy if peace breaks out, but it won’t be allowed to happen. If the military-industrial complex – as Eisenhower called the marriage of the Pentagon with the “defence” industries – were in danger of collapse (a) the treasury would step in to soak up the stocks and (b) another, easier, conflict would be set up elsewhere to manufacture demand and support the “market”.
Besides, the US is not a “normal” economy which depends on limited budget deficits; the Federal Reserve can print as many trillions as needed as long as the US$ remains the main reserve and trading currency. Those twin vectors: military-industrial complex and the dollar dominance work in tandem and support each other.
When a major power in a war doesnt use the weapon of propaganda, what does that tell you?
It tells you you do not matter.
so that you know.
It is so sad; the Russians do not know the Americans. Based on those facts, the war is going according to the American plans.
Let me explain: You give the Americans one inch; they take the whole thing.
You give the Americans one hour to respond to your demands; they take the whole day.
You negotiate with the Americans; they delay, goof around, and you get nothing; only empty promises; bullshit, and more negotiations.
Negotiating with the Americans is a waist o time, entirely; you will get nowhere. But while they are pretending to negotiate, they are working on ways to destroy you. It is like talking to, negotiating with crocodile that is coming at you. You cannot risk your life attempting to negotiate with a gator; he is going to eat you for lunch.
So, the Americans are playing the Russians like fools. The American and setting up the trap; hundreds of Think Thanks are working on it.
The Americans are going for the kill. Putin is the main objective. Dead Putin, Russia is lost.
I hate to say this: If the Russians don’t wake up and do what is needed to kill the gator, Putin and his entire government will face the same fate of Saddam Hussein and his staff. Mark my words. And that will be the greatest world tragedy.
The Americans proclaims that they are not going to place troops on the ground in Ukraine. Of course, they don’t need it; they already have the Ukrainian army, the Azof battalion, other Nazi forces, mercenaries, and jihadists on the ground. Plus, Europe, the NATO block, is helping with weapons, intelligence, and money. So, NATO is already at war with Russia, but the Russians seems to be unaware of it.
Do not talk to Macron! Do not talk to Macron! Do not talk to Macron!
He is playing his roll of the good cop. Do not waste time talking to a no body.
Kill the dam croc, right now, or you will regret it!
But while they are pretending to negotiate, they are working on ways to destroy you.
I believe the Russians are quite aware of these and other dirty tricks being played by the West:
‘Russia has reason to believe Kiev deliberately delays talks — Kremlin
The spokesman [Dmitry Peskov] said there’re theories about why that might be taking place.
“We wouldn’t like to talk about them,” Peskov said. “The obvious fact remains: The Ukrainian side isn’t in a hurry with the talks.” ‘
https://tass.com/politics/1416059
How do you know that Russians don’t know Americans? They have been calling Americans Non-agreement capable for several years now. They know that the west can’t fulfill any treaty it signs going back to Andrew Jackson and the Trail of Tears. First it was because they were devious and greedy. Now they just don’t have the capacity to live up to any agreement. By greed, violence, and exploiting vassal states for all of its needs, the west has turned itself into Mr. Creosote in the Monty Python Meaning of Life sketch.
Dr. Roberts thinks that Russians are massively naive in thinking the US government can be trusted for anything, but what makes anybody think that they do? All they have to do is apply enough pressure and wait for the popping sound. Will the monsieur have a wafer? It’s only Ukraine thin!
Thank you Andrei for an outstanding sitrep. It’s always refreshing to hear a down-to-earth account of the situation in the Ukraine.
I agree heartily that the ‘special operation’ is a harbinger of changes to come in the world political order. RF has had enough of the ‘Empire of Lies’ and is facing down the West rather forcefully.
Your mention of the size of the operational area to be as big as the UK puts the scale of the operation into perspective for some of us. Advancing to that extent in seven days is no mean achievement, and all the while taking meticulous care not to harm civilians and even bringing humanitarian aid from the rear. No mean achievement indeed. Kudos to the RF military.
The cauldron is closed for all intents and purposes. The AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine, or All F**cked Up, from my perpective) is going to be hammered. Again. They, along with Nato ‘advisers/SF operators’ and foreign fighters. The RF military spokesman has just briefed the press that these terrorists won’t be treated as PoW. Good.
The most significant — and laudable — thing I read today (4 March) is VVP saying, Russians and Ukrainians are one nation, I will never give that up. Laudable because unlike Western ‘leaders’ with their nauseating talk of destroying this, and destroying that, Russia’s supreme commander-in-chief has demonstrated that in this conflict, no matter how hard the battle, people — and their well-being — is always on the top of his mind. I reckon that sentiment has seeped down the RF chain of command. This alone differentiates the RF Armed Forces from the barbaric forces that populate Nato.
This was amazing! An excellent overview of the situation and a wonderful delivery.
appreciate the update Mr Martyanov. I would submit that even when Russia has accomplished it’s objectives the US will continue the rabid propoganda campaign – successfully. Americans taken as a whole intrinsically lack intellectual curiosity, making $ and engaging in trivial pursuits to entertain themselves takes precedence over interest in real events. As the truth becomes less elusive and citizenry among the nations not directly under the Empire of Lies thumb speak out, US media will ridicule them as conspiracy nuts and their audience will join in mocking them. you and the Saker a blessing.
General Konashenkov announced Russia will not apply the Geneva Convention to mercenaries. I think they could call them “Enemy Combatants” and fix-up a snowy Guantanamo somewhere in Siberia for them.Maybe Linsey Graham might get a spot there as well.I’m pretty sure Russia has laws about calling for the murder of someone, especially a nations President.
I think that what he says about U.S. Generals is something the Russian military and government agree with. Looking at the Generals on TV, reading the titles of the books they write, and what more, is worrisome. Sure enough, they come across as inadequate to this Russian analyst and surely to top elites in Russia. That’s not good. He’s right on Patton. You can download from archive.org the radio coverage of WWII (!). I listened to a radio speech from Patton…no comment. Methinks a General should recognize the value of “marching” and of knowing how to march. Russians know how to (as seen in their yearly parades). Koreans know how to. Chinese know how to. When pres. Trump tried to organize a military march, they told him it was too expensive (still, an embarrassing march was televised). There is no tradition of marching in the American military! It is not necessary to be a military expert to recognize the value of knowing how to march in a military parade. It’s not something superficial…impractical…unnecessary…unimportant. It has to do with the martial spirit and with its cultivation, without precluding some other reason. The Russians soldiers roar in their parade. (I watched a WWII documentary film where I saw the Russians roaring as they ran forward!). No need to imitate their roar, but that roar shows the martial spirit value too.
Speaking of marching, another army that really doesn’t know how to parade march is Israel’s. High school students can march like this, and any of us could. “Israel on Sunday staged its biggest military parade in years to commemorate the capture of the city’s eastern sector in the 1967 six-day war”:

Hi all, down bellow you have links to two websites that are (and have been) posting pretty good analyses and commentaries on Russia, Ukraine, and the present day situation. One is Gilbert Doctorow’s, he is an expert on international relations and Russian affairs – he was friends with the late Stephen C. Cohen. The other is by Patrick Armstrong, in his own words:
“I was an analyst in the Canadian Department of National Defence specialising in the USSR/Russia. I started in the time of Chernenko and watched the whole thing develop.
I was a Counsellor in the Canadian Embassy in Moscow 1993-1996.
I retired in May 2008 and have been writing on Russia and related subjects on the Net ever since.
There are still some well informed and decent guys in the Collective West commenting on Russia, though Alas, not many.

Two items from Friday RT.De
1) report that UA fired on Azov HQ and killed 20 Azov
2) Russian Units caught Ukie sabatours trying to attack the Nuke plant during the night.
So Ukrainian Army had fired and destroyed HQ of Azov? Other sources confirming it or is it just rumour?
Dmitry Orlov said much the same recently. Didn’t Russia destroy all C&C HQ’s on day one?
I don’t think they destroyed all C&C HQ’s even during Week 1. But likely great majority. There is never perfect war. But if Ukies have lost mobility freedom completely they have become prey. This is the lesson: one just can’t have victory during first few days. Not in land warfare. It always took many weeks.
Good point. Fog of war and all. Well, nice of Kiev to mop up that little oversite of Shoigu’s. I’m sure he’ll send old Volodymyr a matroishka doll with several bombs nested inside…
