“There are no cheering people in the streets of Sofia. It would seem they got what they fought for. Now there will be no Russia in Bulgaria. But there will be Turkey. However, the matter is that Turkey has a rather aggressive foreign policy, aimed directly at expanding its influence. And the weak small Bulgaria that reduced itself to a position of a mere nobody in the European political arena, will have no leverage. It is completely vulnerable. Yesterday one Bulgarian high official clearly stated that they had no illusions – EU assigns Bulgaria to be a peripheral resort. In other words, it makes it clear that EU is depriving the country of any potential development. This is the message sent by Brussels,” Anna Filimonova noted in the interview to Pravda.Ru.
That said, the expert pointed out that now all that was left for Bulgaria to do is to acknowledge such position. EU prepares such fate for the Balkan countries – be born and die in pain, we do not care about you, you just comply with our requirements that we need. This is the sad now currently reigning in the European Union.
That’s one good thing about the EU, it is expanding and does not care what Russia or the world thinks. They excel at propaganda.
Russia is not aggressive. If it continues at the current pace when SHTF, they would be fighting against their brethren instead of beside. Even their allies are not helped in full scale as they should be. Syria should have gotten the S-300 years ago. Same for Iran.
The west has no aversion in arming mad men, while Russia has aversion to arming its allies because of “western partners” concerns.
To be a western ally is to be a vassal. To be a Russian is insufferable if you are targeted by the West.
Bundestag Member and Left Party Deputy Chair, Sahra Wagenknecht (Wikipedia) lays into Angela Merkel for serving US interests to the clear detriment of German citizens and the EU’s well being.
If one good came out of the entire Ukraine coup and subsequent cold war between Russia and the US/EU, it is that the world now knows just how spineless and corrupt Europe’s leaders are, and Angela Merkel is no exception.
This is a fabulous news source. I wish people with this much integrity, including the friends of this channel could really come to a victory in the fight against evil in our times.
In Greece lies opportunity for Russia. An old Orthodox ally of Russia, now is the time to renew that centuries old friendship.
Rapproachment with Turkey can also come with a side of Greece to smooth the transition.
Russia should be offering Greece the same discounted terms for Natural Gas as offered to Turkey.
The bulkhead of the new gas pipeline is on the Turkey/ Greece border – so this is obviously part of the plan.
The pipeline could then extend through Bulgaria or Macedonia (who wants it???), into Serbia, Hungary, Austria etc.
Russia should make this offer clear soon to impact on the Greek elections.
One other thing though. Russia will not accept payment for this gas in Euros. Russia would however accept payment in Rubles – or New Drachma.
Of course all sanctions between the two countries would be dropped immediately on both sides.
In other words, Greece can stay in the EU (If they let them – which is perhaps unlikely) and NATO (can’t leave NATO while Turkey is a member), but must leave the Euro to secure this deal of cheap gas to reinvigorate their economy.
Syriza in particular would enjoy a godsend if they could deliver this offer to Greek citizens facing a vote.
Syriza would almost certainly win the Greek General Election which may occur early next year, and is probably increasingly likely to occur early next year if the Presidential Vote fails.
That is why Russia needs to put this offer on the table now. Russia could offer Greece the way out of 7 years of recession/ depression.
Russia should really make this offer to their brethren.
If Greece renounces its Euro-denominated debts and repays them instead in Greek drachmas at a rate Greece itself can set, this will deliver a tremendous blow to the EU and their crazy anti-Russian policies.
Its a great move, I hope Russia makes it. It would certainly prove they’re serious about fighting back against the Anglo-Zionist imperialism and not afraid to bloody a few noses.
But really – its just economics – so how can they really be blamed?
Additionally, if the train starts moving along these tracks there’s something else Russia can do to Greece (& Turkey) – offer them membership of SCO in July 2015 at Ufa. Both of them. Can’t have one without the other.
US/UK/EU/AZ would be spitting chips and their precious plans in a place like Syria, as well as Ukraine, would be in dust.
Bulgaria to regret exchanging Russia for despotic Turkey
