Am I mistaken, or is military hardware from the UAE mainly a petrodollar byproduct? Also, Porky was all smiles but he was crying on the inside.

US is laundering their equipment donated to Ukraine thru UAE. Probably Ukraine will have to pay for it later thru whatever asets or infrastructure can be looted.

        Exactly Penelope,

These are American weapons (or at most American components assembled into weapons In the UAE). This is all an American financed purchase of American lethal weapons.

  3. Justin O on February 25, 2015  ·  at 6:45 pm EST/EDT

Why does Ukraine need to purchase weapons from UAE? I’d bet the weapons are actually of Amercan origin and they are “laundering” weapons through UAE.

    • jo6pac on February 25, 2015  ·  at 10:37 pm EST/EDT

The weapons were paid for by the house of saud and uae are just the middle proxy and will deliver them. This was all done under the watchful eye of the u.s. military.

Disgusting as these lying hypocrites and looters are, keep up the good work of truthful information. At least the real enemy of freedom is showing his ugly horns more and more. He turned from being a lover to a killer long ago, and now is reaching his demonic end. Love will prevail because that is all there really is, twisted beyond recognition as it now is. Following the announcement today of the strange presence, for two consecutive nights, of drones over certain areas (Bastille, Eiffel Tower, US Embassy) in París city …..

This is not a war program, but a program to kill and murder.US and the terror of drone attacks.

(Article excerpt from Armin Wertz book “The rulers of the world. The military and secret US operations”)

    http://blogdelviejotopo.blogspot.com.es/2015/02/esto-no-es-un-programa-de-guerra-sino.html

    • Anonymous on February 25, 2015  ·  at 8:42 pm EST/EDT

Maybe the drones over Paris aren’t American. Not at all to defend the Yanks, but it would be kind of an interesting development if others started launching drones, too. Including over the USA embassy .

A few days ago in some thread or other heightened activity around Ramstein was reported. Curious, I went Google.de to see if I could find a local blog or any news from Ramstein. I didn’t find anything like that but did find so much about the American presence there—blogs and websites for the military, for hiking clubs, for flying clubs, for “welcome to your new home” clubs, “history of Americans in Ramstein since WW2, including some kind of museum exhibit tha “celebrates the long impact of Americans on the whole Rheinland-Pfalz area”.—it really hit me how deeply entangled American military and associated parasitic civilian DNA is with Germany and German life. It is truly an alien enclave, a large one, kind of like Hong Kong/China or Macau. And of course this is a huge forward base for the American militlary.
      http://www.ramstein.af.mil/
I know this is not exactly news, but seeing the reality of it, of how these people just take for granted that they can make themselves weit und breit without ever a questioning thought, is incredible. If I were a GErman I would be seething. Particularly in light of drone warfare being launched and guided from there. It just brings home the reality of the fact that Germany is an occupied country. In fact, there was one story about efforts to stop drone warfare from there, but the Bundestag can’t legally do anything about it . . .
      http://www.zeit.de/politik/ausland/2014-04/ramstein-drohnen-usa-gutachten
Die Bundesregierung hat laut einem Gutachten keine Möglichkeit, rechtlich gegen US-Drohnenangriffe aus Ramstein vorzugehen. Die Regierung fordert dennoch eine Erklärung.

According to an expert opinion the Bundestag has no possibility to take legal action against drone attacks that originate in Ramstein. Nevertheless the government has demanded an explanation (from the US government)

And this (link on same page):
Von Deutschland aus werden Drohnenangriffe im Jemen und in Pakistan gesteuert. Laut einem US-Piloten ist der weltweite Drohnenkrieg der US-Armee ohne Ramstein undenkbar..

From Germany, drone attacks on Yemen and Pakistan depart from and are directed (steared) from Ramstein. According to one US pilot, the worldwide drone war of the US army would be unthinkable and impossible without Ramstein.

But please think about this… if they get nuked, a lot of innocent people in other countries will also be badly hurt.

Can you think up some other way or removing the English influence, without wiping out half the planet?

      • Eimar Clark on February 26, 2015  ·  at 6:45 pm EST/EDT

Exactly. Do you understand the principle of ‘divide and conquer?’
It has been used since time immemorial to pit vast numbers of strangers against each other. They are called wars. Had they the chance to get to know most of these strangers, they would find the proposition to go and kill them beyond comprehension.
That is why entire populations and their leaders are demonized.

You fall right into the trap. I am aware of a disproportionate Jewish-American influence in the creation of the conflict: I am also aware they are a very small minority of affluent psychopaths and have the support of another equally psychopathic minority of Gentiles. That is what stops me morphing into a raving anti-semite or knee-jerk anti-American.

You would do well to ponder the reality of a multi- cultural, 65-million populated nation of Britain: and most are just like us in the essentials. The problem is exactly the same as the US: they are also controlled by a minority of affluent psychopaths who worship profit uber alles. Which proves the problem is TRANS-national, not racial.

Please don’t embarrass yourself any further – this site deserves better.

    Hello Saker and other people,

I just listened to an very interesting interview with mr Cohen (an American scholar of Russian studies at Princeton University and New York University). It gets more interesting the further into the interview. It is analysis about geopolitical stuff between the major power players all the way to local mess in the Ukraine. For example mr Cohen states that Novo Russian forces are now moving towards what he acknowledges are facist / ultra nationalists battalion and what power they hold in Kiev and lots more. Among other things, the IMF role to finance Kiev (and austerity), the war party in the USA, the unilateral deal between Europe and Minsk 2 accord (no American there) .

Regarding the Chicago “Guantanamo Bay” and the militarised police, look at who is mayor of that city. or I should say what, rather. Rahm Emanuel is an Israeli, literally a zionazi, the militarised cops and the “legal black hole” are Israeli practices. As zionazis formalise their control of the USA, one will see a lot more of these totalitarian police state policies and behaviour, which are still mostly done covertly and under the radar of general public knowledge, become above ground and the norm in the USA.

    • karlof1 on February 26, 2015  ·  at 12:00 am EST/EDT

Rham must endure a runoff in his bid to get re-elected mayor despite outspending his opponent 16:1. Many would be pleased to see him become energy independent.

    • GodSend on February 26, 2015  ·  at 12:36 am EST/EDT

True – but that’s only the half of it! ObamaRahm-a (like Biden) is merely another “empty suit” and “Manchurian Candidate”, controlled by Israeli ZIONAZI puppeteers. The words they speak publicly are downloaded into their brains in real time. Sometimes, there is a breakdown of several seconds in this control system and they just stand there with their mouths open, looking like mindless zombies. You can get the other half of it at: ALL OF IT

UAE weapons: Iran-Contra scam went like this: The Israelis “gave” weapons to the Iranians and then turned around and “bought” replacements from the US probably out of the 3B $yearly grant that the US provides to the Israelis…the CIA then used that money to provide weapons to their undercover skullduggery in Nicaragua. ( all this as a bribe to the Iranians to put in a good word to those holding US citizens hostage in Lebanon)…

Yes, so undoubtedly an accounting scam is going down since being unaccountable is the name of the game in CIA-Kievlandia. it would be interesting to know just what is actually being delivered.

Feds Raid Texas Secessionists’ Meeting, Search & Fingerprint All Attendees

Armed law enforcement officers raided a meeting of the Republic of Texas, a secessionist group intent on breaking the state away from the US, as they gathered to discuss their anti-fed agenda.

Around 20 armed officers corralled the 60 group members and confiscated their cellphones and equipment, and prevented them from leaving the room.

“We had no idea what was going on,” said John Jarnecke, president of the Republic of Texas. “We knew of nothing that would warrant such an action.”

What really upset the domestic nazi squad about the group, as opposed to the phony reason they gave for the persecution:

Republic of Texas President Jarnecke said he’s not pleased with foreign governments taxing and representing him in bank bailouts and foreign wars.

“According to the U.S. Constitution, the only place any army should be is guarding our own borders, not invading and trying to impose their will on every other country of the world,” Jarnecke said.

I wish there was a way to edit -one typo and two formatting errors.

But here’s my thought and it strays into ‘conspiracy theory’ land; these days that’s not too far- fetched.
I am wondering if Andrew S. Weiss is himself a victim?

According to the article he is a big cheese at Carnegie Endowment and ‘worked on Russian, Ukrainian and Eurasian affairs at the National Security Council, the State Department and the Defense Department’.

Now, given his background, he may be happy to write propaganda, but, and this has been bothering me, this isn’t even good propaganda. There’s no clever deception or subtle spin backed with specious arguments. It is in fact just plain crude and shabby.

So, -conspiracy theory alert – is it possible he was under some coercion from some TLA agency? Did he commit some previous indiscretion and is now being squeezed? If so, writing such a terrible article might be his only recourse? Thoughts anyone?

Disqus is an add-on system, which works through their servers. That is why, once you are logged into a Disqus anywhere, you don’t have to log in at other sites that use this system. This convenience, and the fact that it does have good features, makes Disqus popular.

However, there are security implications, in our situation maybe serious ones, with going through third-party servers. (The same applies to Gravatars).

There are hundreds of other plugins available, but their very number makes it time consuming to find the “perfect” one. We need to get the main site features settled in before we start adding things.

John Batchelor interview with Stephen Cohen is excellent—well worth listening to. I appreciate that Cohen is willing to correct his analyis, that is, acknowledge that he misjudged something in the past. . Cohen touches on the ridiculous demonization of Putin. He openly calls McCain and Co. “the war party.”
I don’t know whether his analysis of Merkel–and the evolution of her views, or her positions—is correct or not, but I sure hope he is right.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iraq’s army has shot down two British planes as they were carrying weapons for the ISIL terrorists in Al-Anbar province, a senior lawmaker disclosed on Monday.

“The Iraqi Parliament’s National Security and Defense Committee has access to the photos of both planes that are British and have crashed while they were carrying weapons for the ISIL,” Head of the committee Hakem al-Zameli said, according to a Monday report of the Arabic-language information center of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.

He said the Iraqi parliament has asked London for explanations in this regard.

The senior Iraqi legislator further unveiled that the government in Baghdad is receiving daily reports from people and security forces in al-Anbar province on numerous flights by the US-led coalition planes that airdrop weapons and supplies for ISIL in terrorist-held areas.

The Iraqi lawmaker further noted the cause of such western aids to the terrorist group, and explained that the US prefers a chaotic situation in Anbar Province which is near the cities of Karbala and Baghdad as it does not want the ISIL crisis to come to an end.

Does anyone know how many civilians are left in the DPR and LPR, after 800,000 to 1 million have allegedly already left for Russia and other destinations? With destruction and disruption of essential public services (gas, electricity and water) in the Donbass “war zone”, how are the remaining people supposed to function and lead normal lives? Have the Ukies resumed social services payments (pensions, the “dole”, etc.) to the Donbass region? Are the DPR and LPR functioning societies or will endless caravans of Russian humanitarian aid be needed into the foreseeable future? When will the reconstruction start and who will pay for it? When (if ever) will the Donbass expatriates return to their homeland? Are the Ukies really planning a Gaza Gulag-style destruction of a human habitat – like the Israeli Zionist Slimeballs?!

    • Kat Kan on February 26, 2015  ·  at 3:02 am EST/EDT

Hard to say how many people there. Original population was around 7 million, including in the parts they could not get control of. So maybe 4.5 million. A million left. Some came back after the September ceasefire. Some left again since. Some are coming back from western Ukraine where they have not been made very welcome in some towns.

GAS: Russia has them on a separate supply that Kiev can’t turn off. It is coming out of Ukraine’s paid for supplies. If they stop paying, Russia will keep supplying Donbass as humanitarian aid. Some parts of cities and some villages have no gas, as the pipes are too damaged. repairs are ongoing.

ELECTRICITY: There are supplies from Russia, on special high voltage cabling built since March. Normally they have their own, but some comes from Schastye where the Donbass line gets mysteriously cut or broken every now and then. But they’ve kept this power station supplied with coal, because it gives power for the Kiev-occupied parts of Lugansk which is “our” people too. Locally may substations are damaged, taking time to fix. Small villages mostly don’t have any, but have been given generators.

WATER: Major treatment plants are working, subject to electricity. Blasted pipelines get fixed fairly fast. Some places have to rely on wells. There is a lot of bottled water in the humanitarian trucks, as the available water may not be fit for drinking.

HEATING: larger settlements and buildings have old-style communal heating, hot water piped around from central boilers. These have been much targetted by shelling. They get fixed if possible, but rely on water and gas or coal to be available. Small settlements and places with damaged heating have had coal delivered (free) several times in both republics.

The Russian White Truck convoys brought generators on the first run; all others have also included window glass, roofing iron, plumbing pipes etc for restoration. Hospitals and schools get priority. And often get shelled again and fixed again. One convoy was full of electricity substation equipment. The next move would be to restart those industries which make the materials needed for rebuilding. There is a problem though — who pays? because I’m sure the average village house was not insured for full loss, or if so there would be a war exclusion clause.

Donbass is bigger than Novorossiya, but… Donbass with around 8 million people created 21% of Ukraine’s output. They are rich except they were never allowed to keep it. Someone, of course probably Russia, will have to give them deferred loans for 5 or 6 years, so the industries can be built up, and the exports restarted. Once the money comes in they can set up a reconstruction plan the state pays for, using profits that in the past went to oligarchs.

People will keep coming back. The economy of Ukraine is crashing. People will figure, if they have to starve, it is better to be among their own folks. The republics won’t starve, because Russia is helping them, and they have already sown their bread wheat for this year. They just need to take the land mines out of the fields.

Thanks for the thorough reply! It appears that Russian help is and will be essential for quite some time to keep the DPR and LPR viable places to live. Economic collapse or regime change in Kiev asap is desirable because what’s going on now (prolonged on-and-off warfare) can’t be a long-term solution! The continued bombardment of civilian targets reminds me of the systematic destruction of Gaza Gulag infrastructure (and murder of Palestinian civilians – especially children) by the ZioNAZIS in Israel. Part of that strategy is to terrorize the civilian population. It worked in Palestine to carve Israel out of Palestinian flesh but the terrorizing (“mowing the lawn”) continues on a regular basis. I think the Ukie “Serpent People” cousins of the Israeli Zionist Slimeballs may be following the same ZioNAZI strategy!

PS Many of the Ukie “Serpent People” (credit to Texe Marrs) and denizens of Zionist Israel have a common ancestry: “converted” Khazars who claim to be Jews BUT… “I know the blasphemy of THEM which say THEY are Jews and are not, but are the Synagogue of Satan” (Revelation 2:9)

They all have the same heritage and MO: Deception (Mossad motto) and Lies – by soul-less and compassion-less critters with “hearts of stone”. “Brood of vipers” was a perfect description.

            @Kat Kan:

I am sure you know the Russians have re-activated the gas pipe into the Donbass – but only two spigots have been opened ;)

Putin -Wile.E. Coyote! :) has given Kiev a few days – I think four at the most – to pay their gas bill*. He’s also said the supply to the Donbass must be paid by Kiev.

No doubt it pains him to point out the obvious ;): that supplies to Europe through the Ukraine transit will (sigh) probably be..affected.

Hmmm. Gas or guns? It’s a tough one. Wonder what Cokey Biden thinks? And his pops back at the ranch?

Methinks the Bear is quite a ‘minsk’ ;)

Does anyone have the original source to the new Ukrainian “online army” reported in the video? Where can I read those instructions?

(No, I’m not interested in participating. I’m not pro-Ukr and barely even know the Cyrillic alphabet…! And by “original source”, I mean the Ukrainian source, not RT.)

interesting article-effect of Maidan on Ukraine-should Kharkiv go independent to survive?

Ukrainian security officials say they have not received an order to withdraw heavy artillery from the line of contact in Ukraine’s east, a Kiev military spokesman said Thursday.

Poro should be giving order today-and if he doesn’t?ROSTOV-ON-DON (Sputnik) – The eastern Ukrainian self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic is unsure of Kiev’s willingness to fulfill the Minsk agreements, DPR negotiator Denis Pushilin said Thursday.
“Depending on how the events unwind, we understand that we have only one direction, which is what was signed in the Minsk agreements. But it remains unclear that Ukraine will fulfill what was signed unfortunately,” Pushilin said during a roundtable discussion in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don.
Pushilin added that eastern Ukraine would “need to review other variants and be prepared” for any developments.

“Ukraine is not going to abide by the agreements that we have signed. It is evident. The probability of resumption of the war exists,” Plotnitsky said.

    Debunking Kiev’s claims”
Ok, the conclusion of this grotesque exhibition in Kiev is simple: the incumbent Ukrainian authorities do not have a single serious evidence proving thier hysterical claims about “the Russian aggression in Ukraine”. Both their internal and external policies are false and based on deliberate lies and erroneous presumptions. Being unable to change the bellicose rhytoric, president Poroshenko’s regime is rapidly sliding into total collapse.

“We can see the specter of total military catastrophe, the loss of even greater territories, an economic collapse, and the break-up of the state system of governance.
We are our own enemy number one: our cowardly short-sighted leaders and clumsy commanders; our new/old Rada, incapable of accepting the responsibility for the country; the mindless corruption which had become a part of our lives; our serf worldview which expects favors from a good master. It may end with a blind rebellion—an assault on the presidential administration, a siege of the GenStaff, the burning of the Rada, or the destruction of other foundations of the state which would only make our northern neighbor happy.”
Continues to press for immediate military action to forestall any future events, fight, attack, expand,or die etc……

    article re real AFU losses

    ex NATO intelligence analyst:
“There could have been huge benefits to Europe in such convergence, but the process was deliberately sabotaged by US intelligence agencies, working from the hypothesis that a tie-up between the EU and a democratic Russia would pose a major threat to American long-term economic interests.
“The chaos that we now have, and the distrust of America which motivates Russian policy, stems primarily from decisions taken in Washington 30 years ago.”

I know there have been leaks on this but nato had nipped it in the bud and now this.. This is a huge deal on top of Turkey buying Chinese SAM’s. Which shows nato is an unrealiable partner deep down.

Russian navy ships will keep having access to stop off at Cyprus’ ports in Mediterranean as the two countries have agreed to prolong the pre-existing deal on military cooperation.

The agreement, which applies to Russian vessels involved in counter-terrorism and anti-piracy efforts, was signed by President Vladimir Putin and his Cypriot counterpart, Nicos Anastasiades, in Moscow.

The signing came aimed heightened tensions and sanctions between Russia and the EU over the military conflict in Ukraine.

President Putin, however, stressed that the agreement, as well as Russia-Cypriot ”friendly ties aren’t aimed against anyone.”

“I don’t think it should cause worries anywhere,” he said.
