giving up shirokino? why? OSCE just did a dump on Russia using Finland? Well, will Shirokino stay a demilitarized zone once DPR forces withdraw or will they be shelled from there again? Is there something my non military brain does not grasp about this? ( The politics I am clear on as this is a waiting game …after all 750,000 people mainly civilians died in the first year of the siege of Leningrad so maybe this is something I need to understand by grasping the culture involved here.)
1 NAF had disadvantageous tactical position due to topography and was losing too many people. Now UAF, if they moved in, is in tactical disadvantage for the same reason.
2 More proof, like if it is needed, of Ukraine disregard for Minsk agreement, if UAF move into Shirokino.
3 Hope that UAF will decide to continue an attack in the same direction at larger scale, which means bringing reserves from other parts of front further up north therefore creating weak spots where NAF can attack breaking front line.
If UAF does not bring reserves NAF can attack from Sahanovka cutting Shirokino group off in mini cauldron.
All of above assumes that UAF will occupy Shirokino with large force, which haven’t been confirmed yet.
The orcs are completely surrounded in Shirokino, there is not much left for the things to do besides try and stall their own surrender. Well done report. BTW, I’ve not had any problems watching these reports in the player here for months, they’ve been streaming fine.
Which source are you relying on for this info? From what I read on Cassad, Murid and Kazzura, it sounds like the attrition strategy of Kiev is starting to take its toll. In sectors of the front like Shirokino and Pesky etc, LDPR forces are being chewed up in unequal artillery and asymmetric small unit duels. This neutralizes the usual advantages LDPR has over Kiev forces ( superior motivation and better tactics in mobile/ dynamic warfare). This static trench combat heavily favors Kiev because it becomes a numbers game in which quantity trumps quality. Most of the Russophile media outlets are making a myriad of excuses for the unilateral withdrawal from Shirokino but the common denominator is their acknowledgment that Kiev controls Shirokino. They will steadily keep losing ground to Kiev at this rate, Unless LDPR finds a way to return this fight to the dynamic phase with the numerous encirclements we saw at the beginning of the conflict. They simply can’t afford to lose their best and most motivated units in an endless war of attrition without any tangible results in territorial gains.
Really, why didn’t you post the links to where they say this then? I’ll believe what you say and not consider you a troll when you do that. BTW, I was going by what was reported and shown in the South Front video. Did you even watch it?
I told you my sources in the previous post, Cassad, Kazzura and Murid. Read their posts for the past two days plus more detailed info in the comments section. The SouthFront video gave only the briefest mention, so it’s a very instructive that you drew all those conclusions in your original post on Shirokino from that brief mention on the SouthFront video.
As I thought. Another troll who wants to send others on wild goose chases disproving their spam. An honest commenter would source his material with links to the specifics they are claim exists at the sources. It’s an old webspamming tactic.
Your name doesn’t inspire much confidence. Not that we know if the Kremlin’s strategy is correct, or even that we can be sure what is going on. Many times in this war, people from the NAF side, such as Strelkov, have said things were bad just before a significant victory. So maybe it is simply another trap in a long line of traps.
Lughansk troops are not in that area. So that sorts of tips us to your erroneous info.
And there will not be cauldrons, joker, if the Ukies aren’t maneuvering. That’s how they get into cauldrons. They move and lose their flanks. They penetrate beyond their artillery cover. They extend themselves, get drawn into a defile and then the boiler closes them in.
You can’t do that in trench, stationary warfare.
Also, the Ukies down there aren’t regular army. They are nazis. Fighting them is a whole different ballgame. Without being able to use the big artillery and heavy mortars and armor units (because Russia does not want the war to ignite again at this time), the results are fairly predictable.
Many times the militia has chosen locations to make heroic stands which are not sound military decisions. The entire Mariupol area has been very problematic, because the Russians do not want to take it at this time.
The Dutch Safety Board has reported on the progress of the investigation into the MH17 crash to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO ).
Such a report is required by Article 6.6 of ICAO Annex 13, which obligates the Dutch Safety Board to release an interim statement one year after the occurrence. In this interim statement, the Dutch Safety Board briefly clarifies which steps have been taken in the past year and when the final reports are expected to be published.
Below is the full text, which was sent to ICAO on 1 July 2015.
When the Germanwings plane chewed up the side of one of the French Alps’ mountain barriers. we knew within three days about the co-pilot’s ingrown toenail, his empty hemorrhoid pills bottle and transgender gf [I made that up, don’t go check it].

R; Yeah, that’ll do.
If only fanatic Islamic Jihads had brought down MH17… at least we’d have had some idea ID or passport to show the world who’s really behind all this….
Ukrainians protest in front of the US embassy in Kiev, Ukraine: Yankee go home!
Hundreds stage anti-US protest in front of embassy in Kiev.

Participants in the protest against power tariff hikes in Armenia’s capital Yerevan have demanded that one of the people present at the rally put down a raised flag of the European Union, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
“This is a mistake, we do not want our protest to be associated with politics or any kind of external influence, for example, from the EU,” a protester told the correspondent late on Thursday.
The flag was put down after several of the protesters gathered for the Yerevan rally shouted for it to be removed.
Sounds like the zionazi/nazi “color revolution” makers just had a set back. Poor Soros… :D

There were unconfirmed rumours that NAF infantry groups returned to Shirokino.
